Employee I talked to on the phone literally lied to me about in stock product. I asked on the phone for a Arctis 7 wireless. He says he has 2 pair. I come to get them he doesnt have them. I drove 45 minuets, wasted my gas, and time because he couldnt tell his product apart.
Bought a system new online. receive a broken controller. was stopping through Greenville to see if I could get a new one. he had no controllers besides one behind the counter. said he could take the one I had and make sure I got another one. I just went and bought another one online since Im obviously not getting a replacement. He also signed me up for the rewards since I was spending 300 on a GAEMS VANGUARDin the store, and that it would save me money. I cant access the rewards points, and it didnt save me money. I buy a brand new system and havent been really able to play since Ive had it.
Ive been gaming ever since I could hold a controller, I brought my best friend in to help her get a switch and one of the workers commented oh your just trying to get animal crossing huh? Um excuse me? Just because I idenitify as she/her doesnt mean that all I do is play cute and cozy games. Love the store, just be careful on comments you say to people bc you dont know their knowledge/experience and it can be super demeaning as a gamer of 14+ years.

Ted the store manager has always been great to deal with. I have been shopping here for 20 years and never had an issue with the any of the employees. The store has been remodeled and I like the new design. One of the better GameStop locations I have visited.
Stock is up on stock market but the store I visited had nothing I was needing,no ps5,lol.

I’ve never had a bad experience at GameStop until today, and it’s really sad how one bad apple can spoil everything. I returned ONE game last week, and we traded in a lot of games for the trade in promotion. I then bought 2 games yesterday that I didn’t like. Today I came to return those two games, and the manager said I was abusing the return policy and to take them to another location because he’s not going to give me my money back. Mind you.. I wanted to exchange one for another game and get the rest of the money put in my account for later. I asked him nicely is that policy on the receipt. He rudely said it’s not, but he has the right to refuse anything. I said that’s fine. I’ll go to the other location and start shopping on Amazon and won’t come back to GameStop. He said that’s fine, but you need to understand my policy. Excuse me?! Unfortunately GameStop has a lost true customers. I’ve been shopping at GameStop since 2009 and my husband since they opened. No more.

Although Im not a fan of the trade in pricing and return policy here... GameStop always comes in handy when looking for a classic or needing to pre order a game well in advance of its release date. They tend to have some sweet memorabilia too.

This place is always on point. They have never led me in a bad direction on game info. The only critique I have would be to stop selling people on power up cards and just give better trade in values.
Love the store, but I had a man cut in line in front of me after I was waiting 5 minutes to trade something in. The clerk (Zachary) was very cordial about it, and Ill be coming back since Ive been going there for 10 years and never had an issue; Zachary apologized about the wait and the fact someone cut in front of me after mentioning it. Man asked me if I was in line, to which I replied yes and nodded, so while the other clerk (Sergio, who was great and made some small talk with me) was talking to a leaving customer the man walks past me and to Sergio like a professional. I didnt want to cause a scene about it so I didnt, so Zachary told me at the end of my transaction to give feedback on the online survey. I wasnt given the chance to say what needed to be said on the survey. 7:00 to 7:30 on the cameras
Rude employee. Specifically the girl with the dreadlocks. She has a terrible attitude and isn’t a good representative for your company. I just placed my order with Best Buy since she didn’t want to be helpful at all.

I had issues with GameStop higher up the chain regarding a Nintendo Switch pre-order but the employees here did everything necessary to make sure that got fixed for me even though it technically wasnt their problem. They found out why the problem occurred, got me my money back, and helped me order another switch that got flawlessly delivered.The people at this store deserve the jobs of the people higher up the chain that messed up my order.

I am geniually disgusted with how this store is ran. Staff did not even get out of their vehicles until 9:57 to go open up the store. Then kept people outside until they were ready. Then we finally get into the store just to get what we needed to wait in like for 20 MINUTES. Finally when the gentleman in front of me wraps up what he is doing. He tells us to hold on so he can help another employee CHECK OUT. This young lady was working and held up the line that was gradually growing because they only had one register for cash. If I have anything to do with it I WILL NOT GO BACK. My son can get the games from another company .

So, I went in to get my preordered copy RE2 Deluxe edition. He got me my game but kept my initial receipt and gave me a new one for the purchase. I asked about the preorder receipt and bonuses and he told me all those bonuses would be in the game itself so I didnt think anything of it and he kept my receipt. I took it home, typed in the code, got my deluxe bonuses but DID NOT get my preorder bonuses. He may have been ignorant of the answer or lied outright but regardless, he should not have told me information he wasnt certain the answer of. The receipt I had had a code in it which I tried, but it said the code was either incorrect or no longer valid, so I lost my preorder bonuses essentially. Tried calling the gamestop and they couldnt do anything for me... Im a little miffed. The associates name was Ted, if thats what the info of the top left of my receipt means

I went to this gamestop on 2-21-18 at 1:30 to return a xbox card that wasnt working, the young man in there was unprofessional and didnt want to make a phone call to Microsoft to see what was wrong with the card. . After arguing with him he finally did it, and the card was used before i brought it.... the bad thing was he said that hes the manager ... somebody like him shouldnt be in charge, if he doesnt want to help
Went to buy a specific item. Called...was told that they had the item. Showed up 30 minutes later and was told that they sold the item to someone else that they thought was me? So you never put the item aside? Let me drive all the way down there for nothing! And all the games they sell goes for much less on eBay! And you can get much more money for your trade ins on eBay! Stop wasting your money people!
I am honestly very forgiving when it comes to retail policies because i know the employees dont make them so I try not to take it out on them, but I will voice my experience here. I purchased a new game at this location the day before Xmas and attempted to return it 2 days later. The game was purchased new and the game box was never opened at any point while it was in my possession. I was returning it because someone had already purchased the game for her so it didnt make sense for her to own two copies. So I went to return the copy I purchased. I was told by this employee that the game had been opened and played so I couldnt get a refund. This was due to the fact that there was no sticker seal or whatever on the case indicating that it hadnt been opened. The issue is that, the box never had any such sticker seal. We literally set it aside minutes after finding we needed to return it. I dont even own a Ps4 let alone a console from this decade. I own a ps1 for godsake and being told that I voided the return policy when I know for an absolute fact that I didnt is incredibly infuriating. I dont blame the employee for practicing company policies, but I am absolutely unhappy with the service I received that caused this issue in the first place. If the employee I purchased from didnt put the seal on then that is gamestops problem not mine. This is why people buy online these days. When I buy online my games come wrapped in plastic and it is 100% as to whether its been opened or not. This game never came wrapped in plastic or sealed. I dont care about the 20 the game cost. Its just the principle of the damn thing. I dont buy for myself from gamestop. I dont play console games or buy consoles so receiving a gift card really does me no good. Im just gonna give the card to the person I got the game for originally, but Im still out 20 bucks due to the mistake of someone else. I know it most likely doesnt matter to the individual retail establishment, but I absolutely wont be buying anything from gamestop again after this. Not while they have policies that are this unfair to their customers. Thanks but no thanks.
For what it is, it is a really good place to go. The staff has always been very nice and the selection is usually fairly large. My only complaint is that somethings the staff is toooo friendly, as in they will talk to a customer although there are other people in line. I dont mind that much, but I can see how that would be a little frustrating. Its a good place though.

The gentleman asked have I played it and I told him yes and then told me that they couldn’t accept it because it was still in the box and haven’t had been used. Then lied to me about my cash value. Half of these gamestop works shouldn’t even be still employed at gamestop. They are not professional

I always have a problem when I deal with anyone from Gamestop at all the locations in Greenville. The employees are lazy & lie to customers on a regular basis. At this location I had made a pre-order of a game that came with a poster(which came with all pre-orders) and when I went to pick it up they had my game but not the poster that comes with it. Then I was lied to & told that the poster only came with the new system bundle. When I went back I was lied to again saying oh we dont have any left they will be here tomorrow. Call the next day & have a different worker tell me they dont get orders on the weekend, ookay. Call on Monday they said they had the posters there, I go to pick it up 20 min later & the employees act like Im stupid & tell me there are no posters here & they dont know who told me they had any & asked if I called the wrong store, which I didnt because I made my pre-order from that very store. They then had to send me to another store across town to get the poster I should have gotten when I first picked up my game, which is ridiculous. I have bought many games from gamestop & everytime I buy a used one its either scratched or warped & I have to return it. I wouldnt recommend going to any gamestop, they are a ripoff, all the employees care about is making commission & getting their perks for working there. They arent worried about you getting what you paid for & they are quick to pawn you off to another store/employee with your problem.

When the Xbox One came out we took one of our Xbox 360s there to get store credit towards the new Xbox One, they looked it over (didnt hook it up to anything to see that it worked, remote or console) and said they couldnt take it because the controller was defective...ok well how do you know because you didnt turn it on or anything, the 2 guys were rude and I will NEVER go back there to the location on Gvill Blvd....the funny thing is we went to the location by the hospital and the manager that was there hooked it up made sure everything worked and we were able to trade it there...I think those 2 college kids need to get a refresher course in customer service due to the lack of it at that location....not to mention the GameStop website states that even if items dont work such as games that are scratched or consoles (controllers) they will still buy them! And I reported that store to the corporate office and I phoned the manager who seemed to care less...BAD VERY VERY BAD.
