Quick, professional service. Answered any questions I had and super helpful. Got my bike fall weather ready and I couldn’t be more grateful!Would recommend to anyone
The staff here went above and beyond to ensure I got the right parts for my bike, as well as assisting me with setting up my new forks, giving me advice about servicing, and tips for ensuring the best possible ride. Thank you so much!
These guys have been great in sharing info about 3 wheelers and they were happy to service my recent purchase, a used Worksman Executive. Will definitely refer my family and friends!
These guys are great for both sales and service. Each time I have dealt with them they have treated me fairly and done great work. I highly recommend Freehub for all cycling needs.
Really happy with the great service. Always great advice and support. Also quick to take your call or return call if needed. Excellent customer service and bike expertise!
They a good selection of products and bikes. Noel was super nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend them and come back for another bike!
You cant go wrong here, friendly staff and professional service on all levels of bikes.Highly recommended.
What a great experience at Freehub Bicycles! I had not been on a bike for 50 plus years but their knowledgeable staff and Alex in particular got me set up with just the right bike. Great place.
Freehub has worked diligently in this time of bike parts shortages to find solutions for what I need. They make me feel special, like I am their only customer, and always give me great advice on choosing components.
Nice, Friendly employees. Shout out to Alex for great help finding what I needed to hit the trails!
An awesome experience and such a great customer service 😀 Additionally you can order a nice 🍺 while waiting for your bike to get ready. I strongly recommend this store in case you you are looking for a new bike or trying to get your bike service 😉
Really great, fast service on my bike. Always friendly, my wifes favorite bike shop!
I was able to have my older road bike serviced and given attention in a way that really helped my riding. I am truly grateful for their help. There are places in Greenville that tend to have a very pretentious vibe about them. Freehub, not only can match them with technology, master mechanical work, and high end inventory, but will try hard to find and solve problems. I am usually very loyal to my LBS and now I am a freehub convert.
An exceptional purchase and customer service experience- period! Ken was personable, friendly, knowledgeable and took the extra time to explain some details regarding the Giant bike I purchased today. Along with that, I received a very just and fair deal on my trade-ins. I’m an old guy and this shop reminded me of the way things were long ago when a bike shop treated you like a friend verses just a customer. I came from Charlotte to do business with them and it was well worth the trip!
First time customer. Great shop! Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! Ill shop here again for sure.
Extremely helpful and personable staff, awesome mechanics, and fast turnaround time! Will definitely be using them in the future for all of my cycling needs!
Great experience at Freehub. I had them perform safety maintenance on my 23 year old bicycle. Jack performed the work. It was done quickly and for a reasonable price. They also let me know what issues I may need to address next time. It now feels like a new bike. Rides very smoothly.
I will always love this bike shop! The staff is incredibly helpful and Amber helped me pick out a Cannondale CAAD12 yesterday, didnt charge me for bar tape nor a chain because they were replacing them yesterday on a used model someone brought in. She picked out a sick looking Orange for the bar tape and tuned this thing up great, which could be complicated because at 68 Im taller than the average rider. They even put in a slightly longer riser that is angled up. I cant wait to take this beauty out on the streets, but for now Ill be content with staring at it on the wall.
Delightful experience! The staff were very helpful and the process was super convenient. They dropped the bicycles at our hotel, locking them securely so we could pick them up at our convenience. When we were ready to return them we simply locked them up at our hotel and texted them. We had a great time!
Very knowledgeable and nice people to deal with. Had the supplies I needed
The kings of customer service. Shop here if you want consistently great customer service. They under promise and over deliver every time. I had these guys replace a valve stem, rim tape and pack bike for shipping. They were done by the time a made a few phone calls.
Best bike store in South Carolina. FreeHub has the most knowledgeable and experienced staff, technicians and management, and best prices and selection. No reason to go anywhere else..
When I called and explained my problem to them, they were very accommodating and listened to my concerns and addressed my problem promptly and correctly.
Quick efficient an excellent service!
This shop is so close to my home and I have shopped there several times. I have always walked away happy. The staff is very helpful and the atmosphere there is great! Highly recommend! 5 stars for sure!
Unfortunately, just spent 10 minutes in the store looking for a helmet. As a novice some help would have been nice. Over half of the helmets didnt have prices. I walked pass a guy at the register and a lady at the back desk without any acknowledgement. Customer service is key!!
Cool place. Dude knows his bikes.
Got my first gravel bike from this shop and it was a seamless and awesome experience, I believe I was helped by Tim throughout the entire process -- an absolute gentleman, very knowledgeable and incredibly genuine. Only reason why the review is 4/5 is because I wish the fitting wouldve been a bit more thorough as well as getting a proper saddle fitting(That being said I don’t think this is a detractor regarding their customer service or disposition, It’s just they don’t offer additional fitting services) other than that this is a phenomenal place to shop and I will definitely be buying from them again.
Matt at Freehub is awesome. Definitely knows his stuff. If you need a bike and live around Greenville, SC go see him. Matt knows bikes.
I had a wonderful first experience here. Walked in just to look, but they had some incredible deals. Matt helped me find the right bike. And they give 2 free tune-ups within the first 6 months! Highly recommended.
First off let me start by saying I work six days a week and sometimes more. That being said my two sons had been asking me to fix their bikes for a while. One of them had a Walmart brand bike so I was thinking about just buying him another one, but I was going to get his brothers bike fixed so I just took them both to Freehub. When I got there I stood in the store for a few minutes before I was addressed. Then the guy who finally helped me asked if it was my first time in and I said yes. I then explained to him the situation with the bikes. He just went off grabbing parts and gave me a price. He didnt explain the charges or anything. When he told me it would be almost $90 for the Walmart brand bike I told him that I could probably get a new one for close to that price. But then I thought of one of my boys not having a bike at the same time and said go ahead and fix it. I didnt receive any email or text with price, receipt, or anything. The bikes were finished a day after they said and it had a list attached to the bikes of other things that needed to be fixed, including a new tire for the Walmart brand bike! Being that he knew I didnt really want to invest that much into the Walmart brand bike, I feel any real company would have let me know before doing any work that the bike would need more done and given me the option to use that money towards a new bike, but no they just wanted that money. Kind of a scam the way they operate. I wouldnt send anyone else there. So very disappointing!
I recently went here to look at road bikes, and the person I worked with was helpful in explaining and adjusting the bike that I was interested in. I’m still an amateur cyclist but he was very accommodating in meeting me at my level.
Love going into freehub! Its not too often that a business makes an effort to know you by name and always ask how my bike and myself have been doing! Will continue to shop here forever! Thanks guys!
Great help and insight.
After my 6 yo daughter grew a bit, she became frustrated with her first training wheeled bike we purchased from Toys R Us, I knew we needed to procure a better quality bike and helmet. I took her in and they helped us find one, adjusting the seat and getting everything ready for her. A few weeks later she was determined to take the training wheels off. She now can ride two wheels easily and I know that that bike (vs the old one) is the reason why it was so easy. I brought the bike back in to get a kickstand and they put it on for me while I waited. Every interaction, Ive had with any of the staff at Freehub has been an enjoyable experience. They really care. Its obvious and refreshing. When my daughter is ready for a geared bike, Ill buy it at Freehub. When my youngest daughter is ready for her first bike, Ill buy it at Freehub. Highly recommended.
Being new to Greenville I stopped in to check out the local bike shop. They treated me like I was a regular as soon as I walked in the door everyone was warm and welcoming. 5months later Its been that same way every since. Love the customer service and ALL the staff there. Highly recommend these guys to anyone.
Awesome local bike shop!! Everyone here is super helpful and friendly. I came by originally to have my girlfriends old bike tuned up and ended up buying my new bike from them.Matt was great to talk to and helped me choose the right bike for my needs. We will be back to get my girlfriend her new bike asap as well.
I took my bike there to have it checked out. My rear brakes didnt work. I bought it used. I was pleasantly surprised when Amber immediately jumped on it. And, in less than 30 minutes, I was fixed, tuned and out the door. Awesome place, and people! I have found my preferred shop.
My BMC road bike is riding the best it has since I bought it thanks to Freehub’s recent full overhaul. Bike was completely stripped and rebuilt and now rides great! Work was done as quoted and to perfection! Thank you!
They have a great selection of bikes (mountain and road), and the staff there are really nice. One thing I would like to mention is that a majority of the bikes are Giant hardtails. Overall a really cook place!
Brought my MTB in with several problems. Guys fixed all my issues. They communicated well and gave prices up front. Very pleased.
Super friendly staff! Great selection of bikes and accessories!
I am a beginner cyclist and recently bought a bike that I needed a tune up on. They didnt try to rob me blind, they completed the job in a timely manner, and they treated me with kindness and respect. It doesnt matter if you have a $100 or a $3000 bike, they treat every customer like a customer.
Friendly, chill, genuine. Terrific vibe. And they have coffee and craft brews.
This bike shop offers the best advice and customer service I have ever experienced. All the employees are very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to truly help their customers. I will continue servicing my bike and recommending others to this bike shop in the future. Overall, fantastic experience every time I visit their location.
Knowledgeable team... wide varieties of bikes and riding equipment products (shoes, helmets, and clothing).Awesome bike mechanicsGood beer and coffee!
Best bicycle shop in the upstate with a wide variety of bicycles, gear, clothing, and accessories, as well as the most knowledgeable mechanics around. We come here for all our cycling needs and wants.
Great service and selection of bikes to take on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Kat was amazing to work with.
Some of the best customer service I have ever received at a bike shop. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful, plus they have a really nice demo saddle program.
The last three times we had our bikes serviced at Freehub the cost that they told us and the price when we picked up the bikes where drastically different and always higher when we picked them up. One time the manager took care of the issue. The last time the manager told me that it would be less than $25 to fix. I told him to go ahead and fix it because the bike is only 2 weeks old and if it was more than that I would bring it to the store where we bought it. A week later, my wife picks up the bike and the bill was $115.00. She refused to pay it so they put the broken part back on.The manager denied ever saying that it would be less than $25 but for over $25 I would have driven 30 miles where it would have been under warranty.I will never recommend Freehub to anyone.
I live 2 hours away and still use FreeHub as my local shop. Amber and Matt are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accessible. They are the opposite of bike snobs and never try to up-sell me.
Rented the Giant Trance 29 XL for a ride in Dupont Forest. The bike is in great shape and the pick-up and drop-off couldnt have been easier.
Easy and pleasant to deal with, ended up buying my new race bike from them! Great experience!
Great shop! I only went in to acquire some info but ended up staying for a while and talking. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful! Will be back
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They serve Methodical coffee in house! Just all around great people.
Had 2 wheels trued, fast work done right the first time at a fare price.
Much safer than riding an Ostrich or a Bear!
The family and I took a spontaneous trip to Greenville with the idea of riding bikes on the greenway. We walked the greenway near the river and came to find Freehub Bicycles right in the heart of downtown and the greenway. Great location and super awesome staff. Rented three incredible bikes and enjoyed the trip. They even have a bar for a cold brew when you return from your ride. Thanks for an awesome experience!
Excellent shop - been going here for years. I buy my bikes here and they take excellent care of them.
I took my bike here to be assembled and paid $80. When I took my bike out to swamp rabbit to ride for the 1st time since it was assembled within about 3 minutes my right pedal fell off. Luckily there was a different bike shop close by who was able to put my pedal back on. They checked my other pedal as well and told me whoever assembled my bike did not tighten the pedals at all and my front brake was rubbing on the wheel. They adjusted the brake for me and both of my pedals thank God.Amber at FreeHub Bicycles contacted me immediately after hearing about my issue. She was very genuine and concerned about the issue I had. Amber resolved my issue by reimbursing me for my expense due to the assembly issue. I am very happy with how my issue was handled and taken care of, due to the great customer service experience I had in dealing with Amber, I will likely go back and use their bike services again. Thank you!
Best bike shop in town, great customer service. Knowledgeable, great beer and coffee
Skilled riders and technicians, great selection in a professional, yet down-home, personal environment. No better place in town for all levels of riders.
Great service and great selection of bikes. They now serve Methodical coffee and craft 🍺!
Im very disappointed in Free Hubs customer service. My wife about a $1,000 Giant bike few months ago. Last weekend the cast rear derailleur arm snapped (she has never crashed). They charged her $30 for the part & $10 labor. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.Giant clearly states: Paint finish and all other original components, and all Giant brand repair parts, replacement parts, and accessories, are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies only to bicycles and framesets purchased new from, and assembled by, an Authorized Giant Retailer.
Fixed my bike for a great price. Thanks
Great bike shop, friendly staff, and delicious coffee and beer!
Hands down, best guys in the business - Matt, Taylor and the team are truly exceptional, excellent customer service!
Tim was wonderful! knew lots about the bike and was there for me every single time i called. Didnt push me off or sell me in any way. He used his skills with knowledge in selling me the bike. I highly recommend this store to everyone. I purchased my felt z85 here 2 or 3 years ago...and now im here with my new 2015 BMC. I will always be there for service or any type of merchandise. If you ever walk in the store always ask for Tim or Matt. Both great guys who will treat your time like gold. Thanks Freehub bicyles!!!!
In my way back for my second time. Bought an inner tube from Walmart and one from this location. Walmarts exploded my ears were ringing for hours. Felt the one on one no upsell pure customer service feel. Willing to pay for good people that brought me up to speed in 20 min or less on the changes yo mtn bikes from when I road 20 years ago vs today. Bought a used bike. Light looks and feels great however impulse move as my goal is to get the training wheels off my 6 gear old sons bike hit the the trails together have him sized and dont need a competition grade bike. Just to know its safe pretty much rebuild the whole things and thanks to to the staff they provided all the info pricing and even looked at bikes giving there opinion on the deal even though they dont carry that line. Great relaxed bike store that I now call my provider for myself and son.
Horrible customer service.
Great bike shop, great people
Great place to buy a bike. They will be in business for a long time..
Hands down best customer service of all the Greenville bike shops
Always very friendly and knowledgeable!
This was my first visit since I bought my bike a year and a half ago when it was still Bike Street. Took my bike in for a tune-up. Since I bought it at that location, they still gave me minor adjustments and tightening for free, and threw in a chain lube to top it off. It did take a couple days, but that happens this time of year I guess when everyone is getting back on their wheels - at least thats the case for those of us who arent die-hards.
