The staff here is so beyond friendly and helpful! This is my new favorite store since I went the first time about a month ago. They have great normal prices and amazing sales. You can find things new with tags even though its re-sale. I love that they give you the option to either sell your clothing to them for cash or store credit, because the store credit you get 25% more money from your sales, which is an insanely good deal compared to similar stores like Platos Closet and Style Encore. On top of that, they just have so much more merchandise in their store to look through. Absolutely adore this place!

They were very nice and helpful. The girl with the glasses and shoulder length brown hair explained the buying process very well. They werent able to take anything, but they didnt act rude or snide about it like Ive had at other stores. And they still gave me the 10 percent discount. Prices are a bit higher than at a place like Goodwill, but here you know everything is in good condition and that its all stuff that is current and cute. Its a really nice place to shop. I got two cute dresses for only $22 dollars, one still even had the tag on it. I highly recommend if you dont have the time and energy to dig through mounds of clothes at a regular thrift store hoping youll find that needle in the haystack. If youre college age and looking to revamp your wardrobe for fairly cheap and quickly, this is the place for you.

Such nice staff. Looks like a fun environment, if you need a job! Brought my clothes there, though they didnt take much, I was able to buy a nice sweatshirt for $1 with the earnings.

Urban Exchange is a shop a holics dream. They have new and consignment clothing. I went there hoping to consignment my too large clothing. They took all seasons, which is a plus that I do not have to store them. While the friendly staff was quick to sort my items, they also took what they didnt want and I needed to donate, and donated for me! One less stop for me! I have to be truthful though, I broke even as I found so many shoes, bathing suits, and fun styles, that I spent every dime that I earned. They made it well worth it by offering me more money to spend in the store, PLUS gave me a percentage off for consigning! I WILL take my gently used clothes there again soon! Definitely a knowledgeable staff and great business philosophy!

I have been a customer for a while . I brought in clothing and all but 2 skirts were rejected. The girls working called my clothing old ladies clothes and giggled . This really hurt my feelings and was super rude. I understand not taking the clothes but mocking my clothes was childish and unnecessary.

Honestly the best second hand store I have been to. The clothes are in great shape and reasonably priced! Employees were extremely helpful and even offered to take some of the clothes I had picked out of my hands because they were getting heavy. Such cute clothes for a great price highly recommend!!

Not impressed, I took 16 boxes of shoes and newer clothing they offered $20.00 for all. The young lady claimed things were older I assure the styles are trending. What a rip off I should not have wasted my time, lesson learned tax right off at least.

Im so excited for this place!I sold there & they were very flexible about my bringing so much (sorry, guys!) They even allowed me to leave for an appointment & come back the next day after work.The whole set up is really nice, & I love their mix of new & loved items without it feeling cheap. Typically when resale shops get new items to sell along side their main merchandise, its overpriced wholesale garbage you can find for $1 on the Wish App - but these items seemed nice & fairly priced - like the bralettes! (I think they were $9-10?)They have a point system, & everyone I encountered was very kind.I definitely will stop in again soon.

I absolutely love Uptown Cheapskate. There are always tons of options with name brand clothes and super good prices. I swear they always have so many sales and everyone who works there is extremely friendly. It’s one of those places you want to recommend, but selfishly want to keep to yourself. Most stores are hit and miss, but every time I come here I find at least a few items I HAVE to have.

I had not been here until today (September 2020) and I was super impressed. The staff was amazing, the selection was impressive and had both Men and Womens, and the prices are incredibly low! I will be going here many times again! This place is also set up well, divided nicely with Mens and Womens in there on places and shoes, hats and other stuff put in their places well. The selection is so nice, I found some shoes that I wanted already and got them pretty much new for 45 dollars less then their regular price (Adidas Samba, usually 80$ got them for 32.50$) I was so happy :) All in all, STOP IN ITS GREAT)

Honestly, 100% better than any Platos closet I have been too. First off the prices are way more affordable, even though they offer you more when you sell your clothes. The selection of mens clothes is much larger and of nicer quality. And the staff is so friendly and personable. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a warm smile and a “Hello” Doesn’t matter if you’re wearing sweatpants and a beanie (me today) or a a full brand new mall outfit. A customer is a customer to them and they treat everyone the same. With kindness and respect. I will continue to support them 100% 11/10 HIGHLY Recommend

I thought this place would have cuter/trendier clothes than Platos closet but honestly most of their stuff wasnt my style at all, only things I liked were the brand new items I got. Bought $100+ amount of clothes and Tried to return some of them and was given store credit which was annoying, especially because I wasnt told the return policy before buying.

This place is the best! They go above and beyond to help all their customers. The selection is amazing and so are the prices. I will be a life long customer!!

Recently found out about this place and after checking it out and donating some stuff to see their process, Ive decided this secondhand boutique is awesome! The store is way larger than I expected and aesthetically setup very clear, creatively, and overall well organized. My personal favorite part (other better known secondhand stores dont participate in) Uptown Cheapskate has a donation basket so whatever was not sold to them they will donate to Mel Trotter Ministries! So nothing coming back into the house, make a little cash, AND donate to those in need!

Great, my daughter was able to get about ten or twelve pieces of clothing for 115.00 would have been around 350.00 at any regular retail store. Happy she suggested it. I handed her a 100.00 dollar bill and said try and stay on budget, I coufed up 15 more dollars for 3 more tops.

I LOVE shopping here. Retail is overrated when you can get the same items here for at least 50%-70% or more off the price. Tons of stock too. Enjoy!

Sold here for the first time. The lady with short blonde hair who I believe is the owner or manager is really really nice; I can’t speak higher of her! The prices are lower than other competing stores, so you get a little less payout in my opinion; which doesn’t matter much- seeing as you get to shop a cheaper selection. The amount of clothes can be overwhelming, but a really fun experience shopping second hand here.

This is a higher-end second hand clothing shop. Very tastefully laid out, and a lot of great clothing of all sizes reasonable to a little more expensive pricing you. You can find some really great finds.. I highly recommend you check it out.

This is wonderful store that I suggest everybody should go there. The staff are very polite and courteous and helpful.

This store has many problems...first and foremost do not sell with them, they are so inconsistent with their buys, they never take in style clothes. Second going along with the first reason, They are terrible at buying because why is it that everytime I go there I see the same stuff all the time and nothing is appealing to anyone. And lastly this store is supposed to be a lower than retail priced store but everything is retail or more, I know this because I worked in that business, Nike shoes should not $114 at your store. PLEASE fix your buying methods and your prices cause it’s bad. I would recommend Plato’s closet than this place.

This is my second review. I took an item to return but also took items to sell. I missed the return window by just a couple of days. So I asked them to add to my items to sell. Once again, MELISSA was my buyer and only bought 2 necklaces. When I asked her about the item in return she said they dont want to buy that item. I explained that I just purchased it for $19.99 from their store. She refused the item. I swore I would never sell to her again but wanted to give her 1 more chance. Same result :( Melissa.....I will never bring my clothes to you again.... She is the only one who consistently refuses my items !! I do like the store and will continue to shop but will NEVER SELL TO MELISSA ...possibly more training is needed !!

Great selection and pricing. You get an OK dollar amount for selling but better amount in store credit. I always end of finding something to buy so that makes it fun.

Do know they have many clothes and shoes. Many are out of style. There are some good items if you are willing to sift through it all. When selling your items they only pay a small amount compared to the worth and what they sell them for.

The selection is great. But I was very disappointed in the prices, which were nearly full price, when compared to the quality of the product. Particularly, I found a pair of Jordan 1s, which I really liked, however I couldnt justify paying over $100 for a pair that had gum stuck to the outsole and was creased and clearly worn, especially when I could get a new pair for a few dollars more.

GUYS!Bring your gently used clothes to Uptown Cheapskate! I brought in a giant basket of my clothes and they took half and then said they can donate the other half. (Which is awesome that they donate the clothes they dont take) Right when I walked in I was greeted by the lovely staff, they all had wonderful customer service. While walking around I noticed how put together and modern the store was! The prices were really fair and they had a huge selection/variety of clothes. They do need a bigger selection of xL and plus. Otherwise I was completely satisfied.
