Went there on 10/25/2021. They worked fast to diagnose and fix the issue with my car. The issue comes with when they were fixing the issue one of the bolts on same bracket they got out a bit and then it seized up. Instead of getting it out and assembling it correctly I got a call saying they can leave it where it is or pay them ~$200 and they would fix that too. First mechanic (service department) Ive ever heard of that called me a few days later to let me know they over charged me by mistake on some repairs. Got refunded the overage quickly. Fast, friendly, and willing to work with you. They have a customer for life with me.

I recently had my 2020 Escape not starting. I thought I maybe did something wrong so I called the service dept and asked if someone could come to my house and check it out in that I live very close. Jason came and realized the car needed to be checked out at dealership. He called the roadside and arranged to have it towed. A young lady named Colleen kept in touch with me for 2days. She was kind and pleasant and arranged for me to get a loaner. I feel both these employers deserve a special recognition for representing Ford and your dealership so well. I am a woman who lives alone and am 76. It made me feel so o good to know they looked out for me.

My wife and I came here on a reference from a family member. We were impressed with their service and friendly staff. Our salesman was Ben Gardner. Ben did a great job in a number of ways. He wasn’t pushy at all, was personable, and was attentive to my preferences in a truck. He worked very hard to get me the truck I wanted (at a reasonable price). This experience was reflective of what we heard about the dealership from our family member. All around good dealer.
Buyer beware! I leased a 2020 Ford Explorer ST from them last fall. When I decided I no longer wanted the vehicle and went to trade it in at another dealer these scumbags held me hostage until I’ve had to payed them $1000 over my lease buyout price. Initially they told me it was going to be $3000 over the lease buyout price but I negotiated them down to $1000, which is absolute BS. I would highly advise anyone to not do any business with this stealership.
I have so many mixed feelings about this dealership but after my last experience I would never come here again or recommend anyone else to come here. I brought my car in to be serviced and the ball was definitely dropped. I brought my car into the service center for an ongoing clunking sound that has been an issue since I purchased my vehicle here, I had a local shop down the road service my vehicle who could not diagnose the issue but could hear the clunking noise which is why I came to Tony Bettens Service Center as I haven’t owned my car for a year, the person who I spoke to on the phone when I called was extremely rude to the point where I had to call the customer service manager directly to get a loaner vehicle and tell him what was going on since who I spoke with in the service center did not care about what I had to say. After they took my car I was told they could not duplicate my concern, and that I needed to drive with there service manager who was not there when I arrived. I was told that I would need to bring my car back to be serviced with a different technician who was also not there. I took my car and left which I have texts saying this. I also have a video date and time stamped minutes after leaving of my car making the clunking sound to which they said they could not duplicate which I find absurd. I never heard from the service center after this when I was told they would call me. I took my car to a local shop in Wyoming who diagnosed and addressed the issue within an hour which is what lead me to leaving this review. If a FORD dealership can’t diagnose an issue on a FORD but a local shop can then that tells you everything.08/17 Edit: I’d like to thank Tony for personally reaching out to me about this a few weeks ago and offering me a solution. He really took the time to listen to my concerns. I always come here to get my oil changed and Tony was nice enough to offer me a free oil change for what I had gone through. The guys who work in the oil change center have always been extremely nice and professional. They apologized for my experience in the service center when they were not the ones who had anything to do with the situation which definitely shows there character and I am very appreciative of my experience today while getting my oil changed as well as the other times I have gotten my oil changed here. Thank you guys!
Terrible customer service. I dont usually write reviews but feel the need to warn people to take their auto repair needs elsewhere after my experience. I clearly signed the Call Me to Authorize Repairs Before Servicing line for the key drop-off, and the following day their mechanics performed repairs without calling me first. Not only that, but the repairs didnt work. They then called me and quoted me to fix the repair they did which didnt work, and to run a bunch of questionable diagnostic tests. I came in immediately to discuss in person, and after they figured out they werent just going to be able to name their own price on the car issues, they basically told me to take a hike. No customer service or politeness or even an explanation of the logic behind the repairs they were suggesting- just a trust us and pay us blindly, or we dont want to do business with you. And this was the top manager of their service department, Tony Larabel, treating customers this way. Save yourself the headaches from these con artists- theres tons of better shops in GR to trust your hard earned money towards. Tony Betten & Sons seems to exist to rip off the elderly, and other customers who wont question their ridiculous prices and work ethic... Two most glaring things Larabel said to me which were a dead give-away these guys have no clue: 1)Suggesting that throwing parts at a problem through trial and error was a professional way to solve an automotive problem (this is literally the most expensive and longest method), and 2) Suggesting that giving a problem diagnosis and quote before attempting repairs is not the way we do business around here. So happy to never see these amateurs again.

While I didnt buy a vehicle here, my Mazda did catch a flat tire right as I was approaching the business. I was able to pull next to the service area, and got help right away. Evan Glass was able to call over some help, and they fixed my tire and refilled it with air and sent me on my way in less than 10 minutes.Super appreciate the friendly and speedy service!

To start everyone at dealer used car building are really friendly, I personally worked with Zak S., which is an awesome guy, super friendly and is good with car fax he will take care of you and honestly answer all your questions. I have mixed feelings about this place. I have purchased a couple of used vehicles from them over the past couple of years. My truck was 1 year old and they have taken care of most of the issues I have had with it. They will not address an issue with my tires leaking air due to a manufacturers defect. This is an $80,000 truck that I have to put air in the tires every week, one of them loses at least 20psi. My only option is to buy new wheels at my cost. Truck was exactly 12 months old from manufacturing date and had 20,000 miles on it when purchased. They have been leaking since I bought it.
Made appointment for a new key to be made, waited 45 minute to be told they have no keys. Fixed a leaky tire tho

We have bought 2 vehicles from Betten’s. Very happy with our salesman, Ben. From a mechanical standpoint, we experienced some hardships with my 2016 Edge. At almost 2 years young, the Edge had a fractured flywheel. Not the dealerships fault. During the replacement of the flywheel one thing led to another and we ended up making 4 or 5 trips to “get things right”. That was a couple years ago. Fast forward to now. I still have my 2016 Edge and have around 63,000 miles on this vehicle. Yesterday after driving to Kalamazoo, upon returning I started my car and the engine light came on. I drove the car home and when I got a chance to call the service dept it was getting close to 5pm closing time but I still had a few minutes to talk with them and get something scheduled. I called at 4:51,4:52 and 4:53. No answer back in service. Left a message on one service advisor’s phone and he still hasn’t returned my call. My husband called the service dept this am and guess what the earliest they can look at my car is next Tuesday. Today is Thursday. Treating you like family, I don’t think so! This is not valuing your customers.
I have read through many reviews and mostly see complaints about service work. I have bought a expedition from this dealership before with no problems. Great experience. As far as the service goes thou... Never again will i return. Long story short paid $1500.00 for 2 new struts and 4 spark plugs. Paid for 2 tie rods as well but it looks like they just replaced the bushings inside of the old tie rods. Went to pick the vehicle up and saw the muffler was ready to fall off. Was told they wanted to make things right and would fix at no cost. Ok. Few days later they want over $1000 to fix it. Im not the only one with issues, reviews with negative feedback goes back months. As good old joe would say come on man.
Really bad service experience there. Tried to charge me $200+ for a service that I didnt need for another 90,000 miles, service manager was rude. The only positive was they got it done in a timely manner. Do yourself a favor and get service elsewhere. Plenty of better Ford dealerships around.

I go here for my oil changes because I purchased my car here and its my preference over Fox which would be closer. I asked them to top off my oil, and they top off everything and check the air. If I have to wait, the Manger is outside offering water or soda. When I had a complaint the service manager made it right. When I go to purchase my next car, I will seek them out first

Never been to this dealer but this used F-150 I purchased Betten left their oil change sticker on the windshield plus the Org.window sticker states Tony Betten & Sons ford as the selling dealer and also did all or most service for the past 5 years while the owner never had a clue...Come to find out oil has been leaking from oil pan seal for (many many years (5 ) after removing the oil insulator panel I saw (and) had to clean no joke! 1/2 inch of old oil mixed with road dirt witch covering 75% of inner insulator panel.this was a $50,000 F-150 in 2015 by the way!..what a MESS! .. I must ask, why did this dealer not repair this under warranty for their customer? This Is why I do not trust New Car Dealers and this one gets my five star rating at being a seedy out-fit they dont dont care from what i have read in their (POOR) feedback ....They do not care about a good reputation or their work ethic very very sad indeed!!! .....P.S. Owner need not respond with their lame excuses I have now seen with my own eyes how you people are working for your valued customers.....Good day sir !!!!!!! andBreakAleg...........

We went there and they had everything ready for us. Every one was kind and courteous. I am still waiting on truck manual. Since it did not come with it, they promised to send me one. It is getting warm out, so naturally I turned on the air conditioner. To my dismay it didn’t work, I feel if they would have checked it out properly they would have found this out. I love my truck.

So real story. I moved to Mi and came to Tony Betten 3yrs ago, leased a F150 and promptly lost my job. When I asked for help my original sales guy was less than helpful. 3yrs ago this review would be 1 star with lots of explictives. Today I was under water in said lease, credit issues do to said job loss, but Paris and the team made it right. When I say made it right Im talking like, alleviated so much stress and anxiety about a terrible payment on a lease that was way over on miles. Paris and team did everything to make the experience amazing, not to mention what I believe to be a miraculous deal through Ford (loyalty pays off I guess). Thanks Paris you are the man. First, I have dealt with Betten Ford for a number of years and Mr King has been my primary first contact. To me, his smiling face IS the face of Tony Betten Ford. I want to thank FoMoCo for the opportunity to move into this very nice 2020 Fusion from my old 2015 Focus. I just received a mailing that informed I could have had 3 months of No Payments which was not offered to me at the dealership at lease time, but no problems. SURE WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE! This social security recipient could have used that money. The new 2020 Fusion with the 1.5 EcoBoost drives wonderfully. It has a much bigger trunk, carries my old golf clubs plus extra room. It has so much new equipment that my 2015 Focus didnt have that I am still discovering and getting used to it. At my age, I am still trying to understand how a 1500cc 3 cylinder engine can be so peppy in this size car and still have good gas mileage. Years ago I had a VW Beetle with that size engine and it was a joke for acceleration. Anyhow... Great Car, Wonderful Service. Thanks Jim King (as my face of Tony Betten Ford).PS: A niggling little thing keeps bothering me. The stoplight engine shutdown is OK but why does it have to also shut off the 12v power point/cig lighter jack? The car does not have a cd player in it so I have been using a portable plugged in to the power point. Every time the engine shuts off so does my cd player. It is getting ANNOYING! It is enough that it reduced the rating by one star. Get in gear Ford engineers!
I have given this place several opportunities to be my new garage, but they refuse.I first went to this dealership to purchase a new car, once my budget was ignored and I was called hun, I left.I ended up buying a Ford, so with a recommendation, I thought I would give their service a try. The first visit was to check my brakes because I was uncertain they were done correctly. I also mentioned I had a warranty so if they noticed any work that might be covered I might be interested in having that done. Brakes looked fine except for the pins were swapped sides. So I had them fix that incase that was what was the issue. They also mentioned that my calipers needed to be done, and back brakes. But nothing was covered by my warranty. I was told none of that work was covered by my warranty. Not probably not, not most likely not he said no like he checked. Well I did check, and calipers are covered. So I go in for my oil change when its due, I schedule my appointment with a different service advisor, a woman, and tell her I have no interest in working with the other advisor because he has no interest in doing his job. She then informs me they have to record a or documents about my warranty. I explained I was unaware of that and that only makes the other advisers behavior that much more egregious. I provided her with all the information. She calls HOURS later, most of the day later (remember this is for a scheduled oil change) that because the pin work was corrected I would have to take it to the dealership I purchased it from to have the calipers fixed, because they didnt fix them right. So the break pins Tony Betten and Sons fixed are preventing me from getting my calipers, that have yet to be touched, replaced. Thats what they told my warranty. Luckily I got a quote for the calipers the same day I had the brake pins switched and hopefully that will be enough to prove CNA that I didnt have any work done on them yet and that they were lied to. Im not sure if this was done out of malice or ignorance, not sure which would be better.Out of desperation with the holidays I scheduled another oil change, which I missed, so I scheduled another. This appointment the text reminder said a different time from what I had in my planner, so I went to adjust the appointment, but ended up canceling thinking talking to someone would be a better way to get help. I talked to someone and was transferred to a service advisers machine and never heard from them again. I understand its around the Holidays but a phone call should be returned in more than a business days time.I will never be so desperate again that I even try to use this shop to check my fluids. They talk down to woman, Im pretty sure its policy not to greet customers until they have to stare advisors down for them to finish their personal conversations, and they lie to not help you. Its amazing this place is not only open, but so busy. Not sure why I couldnt get help or service that was needed, but hopefully they learn from this review and do better.
Very good sales staff that had all the paper work and detailed vehicle ready when I went to dealer.I found the vehicle online on a Friday and I was off the lot on Monday afternoon with a wonderful low mileage two year old Ford Escape.This is the first Ford I have ever purchased and I am pleased with the way this dealer treats his customers and employees.
I visit for oil change the guys there are always courteous and polite and price is competitive and I feel more confident with them changing my oil then the other quick oil lube places.

Not a fan of Ford, am a fan of this dealer. My car had transmission problems (common for that model) and they fixed it for free, were transparent about problems it had in the past before I purchased it, and told me exactly when my coverage would end.This week they called me and asked if I wanted to fix my door latches on a recall (for free) and of course I said yes.
Tyler is a great salesman! He listens to the customer and genuinely cares for their needs. He follows-up post sale and is a great guy. We trust Tony Betten for all of our new car and service needs. Customer for life!
Extremely unimpressed and dissatisfied with the horrible repair service at this dealership. I made an appointment with Tony Betten Ford 5 days in advance and told them exactly what needed to be done with my car, thinking they would have plenty of time to get the parts ready. The morning of my appointment with the dealership, I dropped off my car as soon they opened (Wednesday), and heard nothing back from them for not one, not two, but three days later. I had to call them days later to get any kind of update, all to finally be informed that they hadn’t even officially diagnosed my car yet. I was told that I would get a call back twice from them during the process and never received neither. I finally picked up my car on the following Saturday with no official diagnosis nor repairs done, over one week after making my appointment. Extremely disappointed that my time was wasted for all this time to leave with the same car I brought them.

Nice facility, wide selection of fairly and competitively priced vehicles. I would recommend Colt or Zach when you go, they are interested in getting you into the right vehicle for you, which, in my opinion, is good business for them.
Normally I do my own oil changes because I don’t trust anyone else to do it right, but I was running behind and didn’t have time to change it before a long road trip. I can confidently recommend them. Very fast service and the price was perfect i don’t think I could have beat it changing my on oil. Plus they aired my tires up checked my filter and were honest enough to let me know it didn’t need changing for awhile. Will use them again no question about it.
Great dealership. Professional sales staff (new and used) who listen to what you are looking for and really try to help. I personally recommend J.R. in used sales. Also, an excellent service department. Often booked, so call ahead to schedule, if you are able, for faster service. Night drop for car with inside, locked key deposit. Dealership prices, but the quality to go with that and they back up their work.

Car is nice but since buying we have had two of the tires go flat within days of buying.. Tire store says the wheels on car were damaged ??? Someone must have been aware if the problem????

Inquired about a used car that was just traded in and didnt have pictures yet so I requested pics. Mark responded back immediately with lots of great pics and then followed up perfectly. Mark had it pulled up and ready for the test drive. Mark was very easy going and no pressure. We drove away that night with the vehicle. The whole experience was easy and pleasant.

I’ve had my car repaired at a different ford dealership in town earlier this year and it took almost a month to complete. However, when my escapes started to have a transmission fault light come on I brought it to Tony Betten and they dismantled my engine, and had to take apart my transmission to fix what was needed and it took less than two weeks. Not to mention the follow up with every step of the way from their team. Wonderful customer service, made me feel valued and cared for. And my car is also working great. 10/10

Tony Betten service department good. Fords total rejection on 2017 Ford Escape motor failure due to coolant leak into engine after recall on above had been performed is inexcusable and unacceptable. Looking for possible future class action.
I have bought 3 company trucks over the years from John Remelts and he has done a good job for me.
Car is just fine the problem is the sales manager. Did not tell me the truth at ALL, wanted car financed by my old firm Miejer Credit Union, instead it got financed by some firm in Lansing with a higher rate that Meijer would have charged. BEWARE people of this switch tactic, READ and inform your self. Problem as been solved by refinancing with Meijer and I removed the 3,250 charge for an extended waranty that WAS NOT explained to me other than the final payment. Monthly payment now is much smaller and for less time with refinancing.

Scheduled a service appointment (for a number of electrical issues as well as oil change, tire rotation) for our Ford Transit and waited between 1.5 -2 weeks for our appointment. Our appointment was scheduled day before my husbands work trip and I needed to have the family vehicle back during that time. I expressed necessity that our vehicle be ready same day as we could not leave it beyond one day. It is also difficult for us to coordinate dropping the vehicle with our large family. Dropped off vehicle night before and also called to reiterate importance of having vehicle returned next day. Late the next morning, I called to check on the progress.Our vehicle had not even begun to be looked at. Again, I expressed necessity of needing it back the same day. I was assured at a bare minimum, our vehicle would be looked at and diagnosed -- possibly requiring a follow up visit depending on availability of parts. Early afternoon (1:30 pm?) I got a call from the girl who initially scheduled me stating they were trying to get our vehicle seen as soon as possible by their one electrical guy. And as you can probably guess, just before close, I got a call from the same girl telling me unfortunately, they werent able to diagnose our vehicle after all because their 1 hoist was occupied and that I would need to return the vehicle at another time to get a diagnosis. No apology - just stated they wouldnt be charging me for the diagnosis fee, which I wouldnt have expected to pay as the car wasnt diagnosed! They managed to do an oil change on it but didnt reset the tire pressure, so now Ive got a low tire pressure light on, which can only be resolved with another service visit. Very poor customer service and disregard for the time of their customers who schedule appointments so that this kind of inconvenience can be avoided. Will not be using this dealership again.

Ive purchased many vehicles and I have to say this has been my best car shopping experience yet. Aaron (sales) was very sharp and able to answer any of my questions/concerns. Many sales reps have quickly lost my business simply by talking too much and telling me this deal ends today. Basically trying to push my into something the second I walk in that door. Aaron didnt one make me feel uncomfortable. Pure class and this is how every car shopping experience should be. There was an issue with the computer on the new delivery. Stopped in for a regular oil change. Appreciate the friendly, convenient and thorough service they provide. Disappointed that their points program has been discontinued. I enjoyed receiving a free oil change every once in a while.
