Michael Miller is an amazing sales representative at Grand Rapids Mini and treated me exceptionally well. He amazingly sent a car/driver to bring me in from Detroit area. Everything was on point from the condition of the vehicle on delivery to the paperwork in the F&I office. Grateful to get a new Mini from this dealer and look forward to working with their service team. Great Experience!
5 star experience at mini of Grand Rapids. Shaun and Mike are excellent! Knowledgeable, kind, patient...they treat you like a person not a sale. I will recommend to all my friends, family and customers! Thank you for my brand new mini! I love it!
I just finished the best car buying experience that I have ever had. The sales consultant (Bob Fairchild) was excellent…he was very knowledgeable and took a lot of time explaining everything about our new MINI. But most important he listened to us and was quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns. I’m excited to be a new MINI owner and am hopeful that it performs as well as Bob and the Sharpe Dealership.
Service day! Great staff and exceptional mechanics. New MINI center is under construction.
Such clean and sharp dealership. They hosted a fun drive event in their parking lot open to the public with NO sales pressure. They simply put us behind the wheel, put us on a closed course within their parking lot (~30 seconds in length), and had us all driving as fast as we can throwing those great cars around! Cleanest dealership Ive ever seen AND friendly staff and event staff. Looking for a MINI, go no further!
My service appointment was at 12:00, I checked back in at 2:00 and they hadnt even started on my vehicle. They also didnt tell me a time when I could expect my vehicle to be done. They also had horrible customer service. Next time I need my vehicle fixed, Id rather go to nearly any other mechanic. At least they wont charge me $100 to LOOK at individual issues on the vehicle.
Went in for an oil change, and a few light check ups. Everyone was super friendly and it went smoothly, they didnt have one part but its been scheduled and ive another appointment next week to get it taken care of.
Purchased a 2013 Mini and love . Most recently took it in for front brakes as indicated . Was told we need front and rear for $1600. All’s told we had a oil filter o ring leak for $1600 and front crack shaft seal leak for $ 600. Total of $3858 . Called the manager Tom and questioned the totals, especially the back brakes not indicated as needed. I got nothing .Took car to very reliable Euro repair shop and did not need rear brakes and crank shaft seal .Total cost $436 for front brakes /rotorsAnd $876 for oil gasket ring .$1300 versus $ $3858. ????This was just the second time you’ve tried to take advantage, last one was for tires . We’re doneLast chance
I purchased my Mini from Shaun W. at MINI of Grand Rapids. I drove over 2 hours for my beautiful British Green Countryman. I was extremely impressed with the service and I feel that I got a great deal.
I deal with them on a regular basis for parts and their customer service is always poor.
I have always experience outstanding service here. They go waaaaay out of their way to make you feel special. Highly recommend!
We just purchased our first Mini. My wife has had her eyes on Clubmans for a while now, and I stopped in a few months ago and saw what they and Sharpe were about. Totally impressed. Mike showed me what they were about and wasnt too sales-man-ee, very professional. Even though I didnt purchase right away Mike kept me up to date on anything pre-owned that came in that looked like a fit. We finally pulled the trigger this week when he sent me a pic of a sweet Kite Blue Countryman. Sales process was seemless and the whole team was polite and professional from the GSM to their F&I guy. Wed buy from them again. 5-Star.
I usually dont review many things or places but this time I thought I would share my experience. First, I purchased my mini in 2013 and since have purchased two additional cars from mini. The sales team are amazing Jason and Shaun both did a great job. I have been servicing my mini at Mini of Grand Rapids since my purchase. Friday I took my mini in because the exterior light failure warning light was on, when I called to make the appointment I told the service department that it was the license plate light buibs that needed replaced. It was told to me that on the high end it would cost 50 dollars. When I took the car in, sure enough it was the license plate light builbs, she told me it would be 100 dollars. I have been a loyal customer for years is this greed or dishonesty, I left and took it elsewhere and it cost me 38 dollars....How sad is this, that a reputable company like Mini of Grand Rapids would treat a loyal customer this way.
Unfortunately a dealership that puts profit over customer care. Im disgusted by there being more worried about a minor issue and other finds, than actually doing what they were paid to do. I will not bring business to them, nor will I recommend them.. When they were paid for services they never conducted. Peoples well being comes before your profit!!!
Great Service, thanks Michael! I hope it comes together.
Its great to know that we can call or stop in personally with any questions we have with regard to our new Mini Cooper. Shaun and Jason have been particularly helpful and attentive in explaining the different features that are included in our vehicle. Their personal attention has been exemplary. We are looking forward to attending the various Mini Cooper events....... they make us feel like friends. Great car! Great dealership!
The staff at The Sharp Collection provided all the steps from test drive, finance and delivery.Jason did a great job showing my options on a purchase on my 2016 Mini Cooper S and a test drive. Nichole provided a simple explanation of my financing options with no pressure for additional services. The delivery of the car and the training by Joe was nice experience. He explained all the features on this high tech car.Over all a great experience.
Mini of GR went above and beyond in helping me with some major repairs to my 2016 Cooper S. The customer service I received from the service department was unlike any I’ve received at any dealership or repair shop for that matter. The professionalism, courtesy and communication was far beyond any other experience I’ve ever had. What was originally an unfortunate circumstance resulting in repairs was quickly turned into a positive outcome. The service department far surpassed my expectations and have a customer for life thanks to the positive interactions I’ve experienced each and every time I’ve been in contact with their world class team.
My experience here was WOW... I drove over an hour to buy from this dealership & it was more than worth the trip. Shaun Waid sold me my first MINI and I LOVE it. He truly has a passion for these vehicles and his knowledge of the intricacies of each is second to none. The sales persons here do not work on commission, and it is their love of the brand that drives them. This was so refreshing! Both he and the Finance Manager Nick went above and beyond all expectations I had. Nick worked tirelessly to accommodate my financing needs. The environment is very welcoming and friendly- not the experience I have had at other dealerships. I will highly recommend MINI of Grand Rapids to everyone admiring my new ride!
Had the oil filter in stock I needed great experience.
Hands down best auto-repair experience I’ve ever had! Drove all the way from Traverse City because no where in traverse works on mini coopers (or if they do they’re booked out months.) Was expecting to get finagled into other fixes or a lot of money in expenses, considering in Traverse that’s all I’ve ever had, being that I’m a young female. Mike at Mini was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and professional. My car was in and out in 3 hours, it ended up being a recall, therefore it was free. I really thought being that we weren’t spending money, I was sure they would find another “problem” for me to pay for, but they didn’t which was awesome! Not only incredible experience car-wise, but we also got shuttled for free to and from the mall (in brand new luxury cars) with two very friendly drivers. 10/10 would recommend even making the drive. What an incredible experience!
The experience of purchasing my MINI was excellent! Shaun was very professional, courteous, and efficient through out the entire process. Everyone I encountered at the dealer were always welcoming.
Had to exchange some apparel for a smaller size and they did great helping me out!
Jaclyn took phenomenal care of us. Oil changed quickly, they cleaned the car out and washed it for us. The place has really turned around from what it was last year. Thanks, guys!
Joe Turner sold me my mini in September of 2016 and I am totally in love with it! It is my first Mini Cooper and he made the process extremely easy for me as it was also my first leased-vehicle. He was and is to this day, very clear and helpful and still stays in contact to make sure everything is going well and to see if he can help in any way. Also, the Mini events are super fun to attend!! I would highly recommend Joe as a great contact; hes not just interested in selling you a car -- he makes a point to get to know you and what you really want!
I stopped at the mini dealer just to see if they had anything to make my dreams come true. I was met by Shaun Waid, sales person. Shaun was very kind and very knowledgeable about mini Cooper. I told him I would have to think about the purchase and that I would get back to him. Which I did about a week later. Shaun ended up calling me back and let me know that a mini convertible just became available. So I went back to Grand rapids and purchased it. The car was all ready to drive of the lot young my arrival. Shaun took some time to explain all the carrots functions. I was treated with respect and consideration which I appreciated. Good job mini of Grandma rapids and Shaun Waid
We bought a used Ford Edge from these guys. We experience great friendly service. Joe was our salesman and he was excellent to work with. He didnt pressure us in any way. He was very helpful and got us a great deal on a used car. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
The whole car buying experience at Mini of GR was exceptional. I went in to look at some of the used Minis outside in the snow. Joe Turner came out to help me test drive 2 cars and after a while I could tell that this guy really had a passion for these cars. I went inside the showroom to check out the 2015 lineup and really just to warm up. After checking out the features and interior on a 2015 hardtop it did not take long to decide to buy this car! Mini improved their products this year in so many ways. All the while, Joe was very low pressure for a salesman. He was more like a Mini lover / friend I had brought along with me to patiently answer all my questions. Everyone I met along the way was pleasant and the showroom really shows off the Mini excitement well. I learned later that Joe was trading in his Cooper for a new 2015 which had just been custom built for him in England. As it turned out, some of the people there own Minis which added more to my confidence in my purchase. The entire buying experience was quite a pleasure unlike any car buying episodes of the past. And now 2 weeks later, I absolutely love my car and find excuses to drive it in snowy Holland Michigan. In short, Mini of GR and their new 2015 product line really have a good thing going!
Shaun Waid sold me my first Mini in December/2016. I had never researched Mini before so this was a new experience for me. He was very professional, courteous, helpful, and patient. I was unsure which model/color/option package I was even interested in, and Shaun helped me figure it all out. Others in the dealership were very friendly and pleasant. I would highly recommend Mini of Grand Rapids and Shaun in particular. Positive experience all around.
Had been emailing Shaun for over a year and finally made the trip to Grand Rapids. My wife and I have never had a nicer car buying experience. From his incredible knowledge of Mini Coopers, to the extreme courtesy he shows customers, Mini of Grand Rapids is lucky to have Shaun Wade on Board! If youre in the market for a Mini, we highly suggest you look him up! And for anyone on the fence about purchasing a mini, just go drive 1!
Great company to work with. Staff was courteous and very helpful. Quick and thorough service. Extremely satisfied customer.
I was looking for the fair bargain and I believe I got more than that. Staff was very helpful to get my MINI out the door. Joe was very nice and extremely helpful. I would have to say excellent service and understanding when it came to attention to the details. And again I would like to thank Joe for making our visit totally worth it.Jason and Steve were very helpful when I had to take my MINI back for minor issues. Nothing but excellent service at MINI of GR.
Just had an oil change done to my Mini Countryman today. Excellent customer services by Michael Standeford! He was very friendly and communicated very well all the steps required, including other potential issues that needed to be taken care of. Thanks!
Talk about Excellence in customer satisfaction! As a result of a small collision I had to drive my Mini in for an emergency service on a Friday afternoon, I called MOGR to alert them of the condition of my car, I was running late and did not make it on time. They kept the service bay open and waited for my arrival long after the closing time, not only that they set me up with a loaner vehicle to take home for the weekend.Big thanks to Ashley and the rest of the Service Team.
I LOVE my MINI!! I cant imagine, and dont want to, driving another car. I love how I feel driving this unique machine. The Sharpe service has been great.
It feels so good to be driving a Mini again! Shaun Waid made buying a new car and selling an old car as easy as buying a pair of shoes! He took care of all of the paperwork and also answered every question. We had excellent service from him and the dealer staff.
Had absolute great service at Sharpe MINI of Grand Rapids. While having maintenance work done on my Countryman every associate inside was friendly and willing to answer questions. Highly recommend this location for your MINI needs.
I could give these folks SIX stars! Joe, Jason and Nichole were fabulous, not only while doing a wonderful job but also making us feel like part of their family. The MINI experience is fantastic, and MINI of Grand Rapids makes even more special!
Purchased my MINI from Joe Turner... hes awesome! Joe was very knowledgeable about the car, as well as the financing details. Highly recommended!
The new car buying experience was excellent. Great attention to customer service and Shaun was one of the best. I would highly recommend asking for Shaun if your in the market for a Mini vehicle purchase.
The best! John Jacobs went above and beyond when he researched and found that a part should be warrantied. Clean, vacuumed vehicle too. Awesome!
Shaun sold us our first mini in 2011, he was excellent then and we couldnt be happier to work with him again!I had been thinking about selling my Countryman for another make/model car when I brought it in for its annual service. While waiting for my car, Shaun casually coaxed me to the showroom to show me another model mini. He explained all the great features he sensed I would like (I did), which led to a little test drive, which led to leaving that day with a 2017 Clubman that I absolutely love but had never considered!Shaun is the best, he worked face to face with me and via email with my husband. He took care of of everything from the trade to the training of the new car! He is friendly, very knowledgeable, intuitive and extremely helpful.
It was a great experience. Our salesperson spent almost an entire Saturday with me and my husband while I figured out what Mini I really wanted. I went with one model in mind, sure that it is what I wanted, but after two different test drives, I ended up with a third model. All the staff were pleasant and had great senses of humor.
Shaun and Jordan made my purchase easy. This is my second MINI and I am very pleased with this car and dealership.
The staff at MINI of Grand Rapids is great! Joe was helpful and fun, Steve was full of knowledge - I am SO glad he showed me all the things my new MINI will do, and Nicole made spending the money on a new car much less painful, lol. Im very glad to know they are there if I have questions or need anything!
Love my 4th Mini on to my 5th. AWD is great in both snow and rain
I bought my Mini Convertible 2014 from Shawn Waid in Grand Rapids. He was extremely informative and definitely knows his product. I am so happy with my car and Shawns attention. He has kept in touch including wishing me happy birthday! The service department has been great and I am so impressed with everyone at Mini of Grand Rapids, but I would recommend Shawn if your looking for a mini because he will get you into the car of your choice! I love minis! Thank you Shawn.
As far as the CHARECTER goes for this place it is HORRIBLE. My girlfriend (21) delivered food to staff. She drove a mile on a flat just to get them her food. When she asked for help she was told they couldnt help her because they are Mini Cooper and that she had to move her car from the front and left her to sit outside for 2.5 hours to wait for road side assistance.... I see you guys really care about people and have a lot of integrity.
Dealership prices but great service.
The atmosphere is cool. Modern. And its Mini! What could be better!?!
Stay away from this dealership at all costs!!!My experience with sales team was absolutely the worst experience ever.
Good luck getting your car back with the right parts on it. Who runs out of brake clean?!Changed the quote repeatedly, vehicle received back with wrong parts and a new check-engine light, which they sent us away with after charging double the original quote. When asked to inspect the car again, nothing was touched. Now we have to go across state for the work. Thanks for the stress, hassle, extra cost and inconvenience. This is my only non-five star review. They suck that bad.
My wife and I had a great experience with this dealer and, specifically, with salesperson Shaun Waid. He went above and beyond and was very informative, even taking the time to program our phone with the vehicle before we departed. If you are in the market for a MINI, call Shaun and he will take care of you. We will be back for sure.
Shawn in the mini department is amazing!
Not a great experience here...would not recommend...
Great dealership Friendly and extremely knowledgable. The service advisor kept me up to date on my repairs Mini of Grand Rapids a great place to do business with.
Staff is super friendly, but if you have any moderate to major repairs its going to take a very long time. (Which isnt unreasonable considering they have to order parts directly from bmw)
I bought a used Mini and could not get the aux input for the radio to work. My service adviser (Misti) was very considerate and warned me that the issue could be with the plug or with the radio. She wasnt sure how they were going to diagnose it. Ive had bad experiences in the past with mechanics replacing a part, problem not fixed, replace another part, etc. I didnt want to put a ton of money into this issue. Misti called back later that day and told me the service tech (Cody) figured it out. Cody went the extra mile and pulled the plug assembly out of his own Mini, fitted it into mine and it worked! Problem diagnosed! Misti had a replacement part in the next day and I was on the road listening to Pandora. Mini of GR really went over and above for me. I specifically want to thank Misti and Cody for their help!
Shaun Waid is friendly and service oriented. We had a very good experience with him. Others at the dealership were also service focused and friendly.
Great experience, great car, so glad to finally be part of the MINI clan. Thanks to Shaun Waid for his assistance with the buy and the great follow up.
I called the parts department and asked a couple simple questions and got sarcastic remarks from Erica. Not every dealership works the same way but I think a little professional courtesy would be nice. Trying to make someone feel dumb when asking a question is not the way to go about. I work for a dealership in the parts department so I know they dont all work the same or even have the same systems. Thats what questions are for. To filter out any unnecessary information. She seemed rude and arrogant on the phone and not someone I look forward to talking to in the future when I need a part or when I have questions about parts.
If you are coming to MINI of Grand Rapids for service avoid it like the plague! Not only are they dishonest but they are extremely rude! I brought my mini in for a oil change and came home with a oil leak and Iam not talking about a small oil leak either, and when I brought it back so they could fix the problem they told me it wasnt oil. I have taken my MINI to a reputable dealer and do not plan on ever coming back!
So helpful and nice. Always a pleasure to have the car serviced, which is saying alot!
Awesome low-pressure salespeople. Friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with.
Shaun Waid at MOGR is wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable about Minis and makes looking for and purchasing a new car a fun experience. I ordered one from the factory and he kept me apprised of every step in the process. Cant think of anyone else I would go to for a vehicle. Always have a good time when I visit the dealership.
We recently purchased a Mini Copper and have been very happy with the car and the service we have recieved.
Great repair service, quick and easy! Thanks again
They always take good care ofy car here.
Great, friendly staff. I get my Mini serviced here, will buy my next car here!
Our Mini recently went off of warranty. While the car was on warranty service was great every time we brought the car in for routine maintenance. This last time we brought the car in for an air conditioning issue and a brake light replacement. When dropping the car off the service tech wiggled the brake light and it came back on. While the car was there I received a call that other lights were out and that there were other error code issues that were present. After investigating the other error codes the service tech explained that these were not true error codes but were false. However, to clear the error codes the cost would be over $250 and the other lights that were out (license plate lights) would cost an additional $80 to replace. I did not go ahead with the service and when we arrived to pick the car up the brake light had stopped working again. I took the car to another authorized Mini service garage for a second opinion. After reading the error codes at the second service garage, the error codes that MOGR told me about did not exist. Also, the fault with the brake light was a melted plastic housing around the brake lights! I was nervous after hearing about the plastic housing what the total cost was going to be to repair. However, the total cost of replacing the lights, the plastic housing, and clearing the error codes at the second service garage was just over $300. The main cost of that total was due to replacing the plastic housing around the brake lights. In review MOGR did not find the true issue with the brake light, lied about the error codes, and was WAY overcharging for the license plate lights. Needless to say, I would not recommend MOGR. I dont know what changed from the time we purchased the car to now, but it appears there is either a lack of knowledge or a practice of overcharging or charging for non existing issues. Very disappointing.
When we were looking to purchase a car I came here to check out a used car they had and the staff was rude and slow. They said oh no we dont negotiate prices, whats on the sticker is the price but the price was wayy over bluebook.
I want to share an amazing experience my husband and I had on January 2nd, 2015.After a few phone conversations with Steve Iveson (our MINI Motoring Advisor) at MINI of Grand Rapids, just after Christmas, we set an appointment to test drive and purchase a MINI Countryman ALL4. I had explained to Steve that although both my husband and I would be driving down from Northport for the appointment, I was going to be the person purchasing/leasing and driving the car. Steve was extremely pleasant and respectful to both of us, but what I appreciated the most was that fact that he remained focused on my needs as a soon to be MINI owner. Steve explained in great detail, each amazing feature inside the car and the engine. All about Leasing VS Financing, & talk about trade in values. There was no beating around the bush. He was straight forward, knowledgeable, and no pressure. There has never been another dealership ( make or brand of car), or sales person that has ever been this respectful to me as a woman.Jason Deutsch, the Sales Manager, stopped to introduce himself to me, and then I was taken out to the Service department and introduced to Yomani Williams, my Service Advisor. All I can say is WOW. My husband and I both noticed that each of our team members (that is what we call them) looked us square in the eye, shook our hand firmly, and had (what is lacking in most dealership experience) ENTHUSIASM . Both for the automobile and the purchaser.A completely unique experience and a completely unique Automobile!I love my MINI....and I trust my dealership MINI of Grand Rapids and I trust my Motoring Advisor Steve Iveson. I will be spreading the word.Sheri Sutherland, Northport Michigan
