They took the time to explain what was happening with my car before quoting me, and then gave me options for what I could do depending on how much I was looking to spend. Super friendly and helpful.

Although they were busy, they still managed to make time for us. The workers appreciated the red bulls and Snicker bars as a lil tip. I have had numerous cars at this location. Steve is honest.

I feel that they charge too much for most of the services they perform. And a lot of times they try to sell you jobs that you dont need. In times of pandemic that does not help people already struggling.

I took my Subaru in for a water pump,timing belt and a couple of other things. I knew I was going to spend about $1,500 to fix it.Steve called the manager Steve called to let me know that the head gasket was bad and the repairs were going to exceed my budget. He didnt try and pressure me to have the work done. In my opinion very honest guy and Ill go back to them whenever I cant fix my own cars!!

Steve is honest and more then fair. Not afraid to tell you that a problem you thought you had was just a loose heat shield. Repaired it for free! That is the second time he has done a diagnostic on the vehicle and fixed the problem for free. Once we thought it was an alternator and belt around $700. After checking he called and said it was a relay module and needed to do to the dealership. He could have charged us for the parts and we would never have known. Charged us $0.

Great service! I was in a pinch and had some issues with my brakes that I needed resolved quickly. I got there when they opened on Saturday, and even though I waited roughly an hour for the diagnosis, their receptionist, Vera, was very kind and took good care of me. Made my wait so much easier! When they found the problem they showed me exactly where it was and explained it thoroughly, thats the first time a shop has taken me under my car and shown me the issue! They initially quoted me at a high price in case they needed to replace more parts, but it ended up being a third of the cost because they were efficient and did great work. Great experience, highly recommend!

I brought my car in Friday at noon . I was told it would be looked monday. Went in on Monday afternoon and car was in same spot. They never got callback #. The customer service is very poor. I would not recommend this place and will never do business with Tuffy again!

After buying my vehicle in June of 2017 and trying to get it repaired mutiple time from another repair shop. I finally can say that my vehicle running better than it has since I bought it. The team at Tuffy really did an amazing job in repairing my vehicle. Being physically challenge I need a reliable vehicle. Thank you so much for your help.Follow up on the radiator I received. It had a year warranty and it blew exactly a year later. I called about the radiator having problems but had to a funeral out of town. I left the car here and was given a loaner by the mechanic who found the problem. I get back from the funeral and was told the warranty expired the day of the funeral. It was not honored. I took my car home because I didnt have the money to fix it. The radiator and engine blew while going home. Now the vehicle sits. While I am still making car payments.

My car is the most important thing I own and this was my first time at Tuffy on Fuller. I spoke with the front desk and a tech and they both were awesome and upbeat. They put pads on my battery and cleaned off the corrosion for a fair price and very quickly. They reset the radio and clock, but thats not a huge deal. I had a horrible experience at this Tuffy! Steve was rude and condescending, calling meSweetheart and talking down to me. I waited 2 hours for my car to even be assessed, which is fine. I understand that I arrived at a busy time. I mentioned that I needed my car by 3pm. But when they finally looked at my car and told me what was wrong they made me wait another 2 and a half hours before I finally got a ride to get lunch. I called an hour later and was told that it would be another couple hours. The communication was lacking a great deal. They offered me a loner so I could get to work, honestly not sure why they waited 3 hours to do that, but whatever. Again, at that point I was told it would be only a few more hours but I had to get to work, I intended to pick up my car the next morning. When I went to pick up my car they told me they had not even started working on it because they had to get parts! Again this is something that they should have told me. This was at 8:30 in the morning and I was told my car would be done around 10. I took the loaner car and went to work thinking I would get a call very shortly. I went on my lunch break at 2:00 p.m. call them because I had not heard anything. And was told my car was just finished. The way that I was treated was unacceptable the customer service was very much lacking in this shop.

They tell you that your overpriced services will be done at one time, but they are not completed until 2 DAYS after you thought you would get yoir vehicle back. Apparently there are cars that have to be done at a certain time, but mine wasnt one of them. I guess you have to be on a special list to get your car serviced in a timely fashion.

Ive taken my car here multiple times for service. The first few times, everything went well. The last two times Ive left with more problems to fix on my car than I went in with. Steve claims its all routine maintenance, but how can things go wrong every time you have my vehicle? The most recent time, they had my car for 2 weeks. I appreciate them giving me a loaner in the meantime, but it was not comparable to car I own. Also, how is it acceptable to have my car for 2 weeks, especially since when I dropped it off they said it would be ready the next day. I got gouged by Steve and his group of shoddy mechanics for $3200, and who knows how much it will cost to fix all the lights that are lit up on my dash now? Steve told me that its just probably my wheel bearing thats gone bad and nothing they did. I hope you dont do this to everyone that comes in there.

Spent about 2 grand over the course of a year bringing my car in to be fixed (everything from radiator to power steering). The people at the shop seemed nice so I continued going back.Im pretty sure they use salvaged parts but charge you for new. Ive had every single part theyve fixed break and had to get them repaired at another shop.I would not recommend anyone go to this tuffy, youre better off paying $100 on a tow to a better shop that stands by its work.

They didn’t know what they are doing. Wanted to put a new fuel pump in my truck when it was spark plugs and coils. They did that and I had to take it to a new shop to re due it because they didn’t change all of them out.

My wife and I were in town for a convention and picked up a piece of metal in our Odysseys tire. The service writer was a very nice and professional person. She got our van in right away. Fixed our tire, made sure our other tires were equal air and sent us on our way in 20 minutes for $10!Great Job Tuffy!

Had to get the rear brakes and rotors replaced. They were running a special on free brake pads at the time so that was nice. Service was friendly and I did not wait long.

I was in a hurry to get a last minute oil change before leaving town and I discovered my hood latch wouldnt budge. I stopped at 2 other places that were not able to help me. Luckily this place was open on a Saturday. They had my oil changed and hood latch loose in about half an hour. Staff was friendly and helpful, prices were very fair. Next time my car needs work this shop will be my go-to.

This place is the absolute best in town. I brought my car in ten minutes before they closed just thinking I would drop it off for them to work on the next day. I had a slow leak in a tire and thought that they would at least charge me to patch it if not try to get me to buy a new tire. In five minutes flat they brought it in the shop, patched it, and pulled it up for me to drive off “free of charge.” The front desk worker and mechanics are all very nice and their business practice gives you that vibe of a real neighborhood spot/that they will take care of you. This isn’t the first time they’ve fixed something minor for free for me and in record time. Now I go here for all my car concerns. Thank you!

Liars & thieves. We asked them to inspect our whole car over before they fixed anything & to let us know if itd be worth it to fix the whole AC system. They inspected it and told us everything looked good and would be $1825 to fix the whole AC system and fix a couple other problems (brakes & rotors). After 3 weeks of our AC blowing cold air, it stopped blowing cold air. Took it back today and they say something is leaking gas under the dash board and the whole thing is rusted. You can give us more money to fix this. We paid a lot of money thinking everything would be fixed like they said. How come they didnt find this rust and other problem when they supposedly inspected the whole car? How come they charge so much more money for parts? Well I guess our neighbors and friends were right! Never go to Tuffy

MOST LIKELY A SCAM: I went there for a $200 repair. And when I went there to receive service I all of a sudden had a whole list of problems that had to be fixed that added up to $1,600. When I asked to review the itemized quote in person I was told that they dont show quotes to customers and that to review your quote there would be a $25 fee, your quote seems to be missing and I cant find it which led to the manager on duty is nowhere to be found. I believe they were trying to screw me over being a 22 year old female, I am happy I did not give them even a penny from my pocket before I figured this out. I also wrote a letter to Corporate customer service, which replied to me that the franchise owner would contact me about my recent experience, I have yet to here from him, or a chance to see my quote. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!

Liars! We brought a car we bought at auction for an estimate. They claimed the vehicle needed all new suspension parts in the front end and the rear end needed a lot of work They also claimed the camber adjusting bolts in the rear end were bad. The bushings were fine!( I can still see threads on the bolts) apparently they havent heard of pb blaster and or a torch to expand the metal and knock off excess rust. I am an automotive engineer exposing various shops for their lies! Look for more of my reviews in the future. What if we were on a budget with a family like most people these days? Shops are crooked guys! Be safe and honest

Highly suggest avoiding this place. Took the easy way out in diagnosing an issue and charge me $800 then gave me the vehicle back without fixing it. Another shop diagnosed the issue after actually doing some work - Tuffy could have found it had they not been lazy - with no refund or apology from Tuffy. Obviously dont know what theyre doing or offering horrible service. Whatever it is, stay far, far away.

Needed tire patch work done on all four. They only charged me for the first set ($20) and were very speedy. Friendly staff who seem knowledgeable. I cant speak to major repairs, but if you need a quick fix this is the place to go.

Quite disappointed.. spent over $3000 on a new exhaust for my husbands truck. When we got it back it had a issue that it NEVER had before in the 6 years that we have owned it. Brought it back and was told it was “bad luck” and also stated it could have been the weather change that caused it. Sir, this truck has been through every single weather change known to Michigan, and the issue started RIGHT AFTER you serviced it... No, I don’t think it was the weather.

The staff were nice and professional. My car needed minor repairs, and they were taken care of in about an hour. I was impressed by the quick turnaround and how inexpensive it was.

The service was great went above what was expected

I went in to get a full service oil change as well as have them change the belt on the engine. They finished up by telling me that they didnt have to change the belt, that instead they adjusted it. They could have easily pulled a fast one on me and changed the belt for a profit anyways, but they didnt. Then after they had already pulled my car out of the garage I had remembered wanted them to test to see if any of my bearings were showing signs of going bad. Without complaint the man who worked on my car, Matt, brought it back in and checked it immediately without ever adding some sort of little surcharge. Im quite thrilled with how my car is running, and that they gave me an excellent service. Id recommend this shop any day as long as they continue with this great work.

PRO: They did a good job. The customer service was upfront professional and gave me three different pricing options from 1)needed to be done 2) needed to be done and should be done 3)the works. All and all getting disks and new breaks (one that wasnt even functioning) cost me about 600 for all four wheels. Mind you they did everything to salvage everything they could and I can vouch for that. This was close to home for me, which was one of the largest reasons why I went to this shop, but with their coupons, service, and getting me in and out in a period of a couple hours I would recommend this place. Simply put I didnt feel like I was being taken for a ride. Im sure they maybe a little more pricey like some of the previous ratings claimed, but an honest and GOOD mechanic is damn near impossible to find now days. I would spend my money here again.Con: I wish their coupons were a bit bigger as far as discount services go, or provide a student discount; But hey, what can ya do?

I had my oil changed at this location. They wrote on my invoice that my check engine soon light was on and that my low oil light where on. Neither were on when I shut off the car in their parking lot. When I confronted them about it upon receiving the bill, they said the lights popped on when they started the car, and then popped right back off. Neither of those lights were on the car when I got back into the car, and were never on before that and havent come on since. Sketchy business to me - covering themselves as a business and providing dishonest customer service. I emailed the corporate office to inform them and nothing ever happened. I will never take my car to a Tuffy again.

I had a oil change done and one of the employees that work there did not give me a brand new oil filter.When I got home on the same day I pop my hood and check my oil and looked at the oil filter and seen dryed up mud and dirt still on my oil filter that I just bought with my oil change.Be careful when you have a oil change done here because they will do a fake oil change job!!!!

My car died on me during 5pm traffic on 131 and I had a very traumatic experience. I had it towed to TUFFY and Jay and his team took care of me like I was one of their own. The issue with my car was a difficult one to figure out because my car started right up the next day after they charged the battery but because Jay was concerned about my safety on the highway, he took it upon himself to keep my car an extra day and drive it on the highway himself and when it died again, he was quickly able to figure out the problem and charged me a very fair price to fix it. I will strictly go to this TUFFY for all of my mechanic needs in the future!

Back in August these guys installed new brakes and a muffler. Brake quality, install and price was great. Heres where it all went south. The muffler was mounted too close to the rear bumper so by the time I got home, there had been a chunk melted out of it.They blamed it on the muffler manufacturers instructions and build, but bottom line was that there was no one quality checking the install. They were more than fine with making it right at no cost to me. However, I went back and forth with them for literally 3 MONTHS to get this fixed. I finally told them I would pick up the new bumper and handle getting it all repaired myself - done dealing with the excuses and shoddy work thus far. After that, it was handled in a week.So....in the end...they backed their work and took care of all the charges. However, it took a long, long time to get there - and cost me time and money of my own. They said sorry a lot of times and once said we dont typically have to deal with these situations. Agreed, however your business is also based on customer service and if you have a frustrated customer that should be your utmost concern and focus of attention. Several times I had to call them to find out what was going on, instead of them keeping me in the loop. During this whole process I felt like they were hoping Id just forget and go away.Well, I did go away after it was all resolved. And I will not be coming back. I would not recommend this shop for anything more than brake jobs.

Stay away from this place. They overcharged me for parts, about double of what they cost across the street. Spent lots of money and still having problems with my car. Steve gave me a bunch of excuses and didnt stand behind his work. Take your business somewhere else, and save the hassle and money. Thats my advice to you.

Could not be happier! Went in with a bad leak in a tire and had to get it fixed on a Saturday afternoon of Thanksgiving weekend at 4pm. Every other shop in the area told me they wouldnt be able to get me in until Monday. Went to Tuffy and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and the tire repair was only $10! The staff was beyond friendly and the tire has held up!

Went to get my brakes fixed excellent mechanic and fair price.

I had my friend call to a get quote for a new catalytic convertor for my Jeep. They quoted him $200 over the phone. I walked in and and being a woman, my bill grew to over a $1000. When the used car salesmen tactic didnt work, he resorted to the scare tactic. I already had a quote and knew what to expect for repairs before walking in. Scam artist saw $$$.

Good:Really seemed like they knew what they were doing and could have gotten the job done well. Had my wheels off and explained the problem with my breaks in under 20 min.Bad:The parts that they quoted me for were way to high. For example, one front brake caliper $120.00. However, that exact brake caliper is sold literally across the street at autozone for $45.00. All of the parts were marked up about the same ridiculous %. I went and got the parts at autozone and took them to a shop to have them put on. Paid a little more for labor, but save almost $250.00. The shop I took my truck to and an employee at Autozone told me Im not the first person to have this experience.
