Two weeks ago I was in a car accident with my car! I had a bad fender bender and the front of my hood was bent in significantly! I was concern about work being done on my car one due to the color. I was scared that the paint was not going to match up. And I was uncertain of how the outcome of my car would turn out due to the damages. Jeff assured me that they were indeed a professional company that took pride their work. And that if I had any concerns please feel free to let him know. I appreciated Jeff’s honesty about things that could happen due to my car had other underlying issues I wasn’t aware of. However he took full accountability and when I received my car it looked better than how I bought it. The car looked brand new!! Never looked like it was in a accident! I now have a new collision shop that I trust and will goo back for services any day! Thank you so much! Go see Jeff you won’t regret it!

Worst! Talk nice and make a lot promises that they make no attempt to keep. Charged $150 for a $23 dollar part that was also badly tarnished. Charged insurance for things that were clearly not done. So unprofessional and rude.Vehicle had minimal damage, it took them a month to complete. TERRIBLE!!

My insurance company sent me to this location to have my vehicle fixed due to a hit and run in a grocery parking lot. My front bump is not aligned correctly. You can see visible scratches and missing paint in the lip of the bumper where it meets the drivers head light. There are also visible imperfections on the bumper from it being repainted and I assume not sanding or stripping the old paint from the bumper. The clips that hold the front bumper in place are missing in a few areas as well as one of the clips appears to be stripped. I can pull it out with my bare hands. For the amount of money spent I did not expect to receive subpar quality of work. I would not recommend this place nor would I use their services again.

Service was great would highly recommend it. My car got done earlier then told previously and the paint match and body work was spot on. If you need body work done or anything else for that matter, you need to go here. Ask for Jeffrey, great dude and gave me updates every other day on my car. Overall great experience would definitely use this place again.

I went there just to get a quote and I called ahead to make an appointment. The person answering the phone was very pleasant. When I arrived you have to wait in your vehicle. But someone came out and helped me. The gentleman was very helpful. Seems like a nice group of people to deal with.

Let’s talk about service! I received THE BEST service here. I was involved in a “Hit and Run” and I was not happy about the damage to my vehicle. Jeff took care of me, he called and kept me updated on the progress of my car and THEY FINISHED A DAY EARLIER THAN EXPECTED. I’ve never had to deal with anything like this before, and I will admit I’m a little spoiled by this experience. I appreciate the service received by Jeff and the entire staff. Thank you!

Pretty good experience. The customer care representative was attentive and responsive. He answered my questions and my car was ready on-time. My rental reservation was messed up but they called enterprise and requested a shuttle who arrived as we were finalizing the paperwork. Overall positive experience.

Jeff was rude to my wife and daughter in every interaction they had. Even brought my daughter to tears. Our insurance company asked us to drop off some paperwork to Jeff and when they arrived, Jeff was rude and snatched the papers out of my wife’s hands and said “why are you giving this to me, I don’t need this!” People like this have no business dealing with the public! We will NEVER use Gerber again because of the experience! I’m sure Jeff will be happy not to have us as a customer again! Rest assured, we will make sure everyone that asks for recommendations for a body shop will be steered clear of Gerber!

So you put your car in the body shop for repairs and this is what you get back. 1 new headlight and one old headlight, paint chip on brand new bumper that isnt even on the car correctly and they charging my insurance company and extra $800? For what? Didnt fix the windshield, didnt repaint the hood. Said they would wash the car and clean the interior also, guess what, didnt do that either. Called my insurance company and complained to that also.Gerber Collision & Auto Glass in Gastonia, NC on new hope road is in my opinion the worst shop I have ever seen. WILL NOT take my business there ever again!!!

A deer jumped in front of us on I-85 and did a lot of damage to our brand new Honda Pilot. Our insurance company, USAA, recommended that we use Gerber and it was a great experience. Jeff took care of everything and made sure that the Honda techs came out to double check the computer system and sensors once all the body work was done. I picked it up today and the car seems like new- they used all original Honda parts.He kept us up to date on the progress and was professional and courteous at every turn. I wouldnt hesitate to go back if anything else happened again.

Someone hit my vehicle on the front passenger side by the headlight. They did soooo good on my Yukon. They text me every step of the process and I got my truck back in NO TIME!!!Everyone there was so nice and professional. I saw my truck and wanted to cry because of how good of a job they did. They even gave me a LIFETIME warranty. If anything goes wrong while I own it they’ll fix it for free!!!!Oh did I mention that my window was damaged in the accident and wouldn’t go up or down anymore. The insurance wouldn’t cover it because they said that it wasn’t caused by the accident. They even fixed my window y’all. The guy called me and said that the insurance wouldn’t cover, but he would see what he can do. IM EXTREMELY SATISFIED‼️‼️‼️ Thank you thank you thank you Gerber Collision!

I went to Gerber, being associated as an acceptable estimator for USAA, for a damage estimate for damage to my truck by w deer. I happen to restore classic cars as a hobby, there for I am very mechanically inclined. The estimator wanted to use body filler on Seams around the wheel well of the front fender and throughout the repairs. I immediately told him this world. E labor costly and exceed the cost of just replacing the fender. He was defiantly a bean counter and had zero body experience and probably only qualified as an estimator because he attended an online training module. I then took the truck to my body repair shop and a qualified estimator with my interest in mind gave a fair estimate. Unfortunately getting this estimate approved added 2 weeks to the repairs because of the holidays. I’ve been meaning to submit this for some time. Needless to say, I would not recommend using Gerber for your repairs. They may warranty their work, but realistically your not going to leave your car with them the second time to have substandard work repeated. To quote “tommy boy”, just because I slap a warranty on the box just means I’ve warrantied a box of shit”

The frustration of having to get a rental car returned and pick up your repaired vehicle. When they are 30 to 45 minutes apart. My son is in Wilmington NC working his medical rotation and cant just leave. Enterprise wants their car back on Friday. I explained it will be Saturday. Enterprise also said car must be here by noon.Well Lakeisha to the rescue. She explained we could bring the vehicle to Gerber Collision and they would check it in to Enterprise. This saved an hours worth of driving and allows my son to get back to Wilmington for work on Monday THANK YOU LAKEISHA.

I had a side impact. They took weeks to fix my car. They used the wrong color glass in my door, they used a broken suspension part from a junk yard that shakes & pops / bangs. I cant have anyone in my car now because of the noise it makes, and you better believe that noise is all they will talk about while were are driving. Other than the glass being the wrong color the body work on the door looks ok.... but everytime it rains water comes out the bottom of the door, so something wasnt sealed up properly. My windshield washer reservoir wasnt fixed. It must have a huge crack in it because everytime I add more than a cup of fluid it comes gushing out the bottom of the car, fyi, it is suppose to hold a gallon of fluid. When I complained to Gerber management they said it was Geicos fault, they didnt give them money to fix anything but the car body and the shock. Dont use these people, dont use Gieco, they wont do a good job, and they wont stand up to the insurance company for you.

I was in a small accident and took my car into gerber collision. Liz at the front made me feel right at home and quickly got an estimator to to help me. Jeff was awesome greeted me with a handshake and made the experience a grease. Jeff was very professional and made sure I understood exactly what was going to happen. I will be bringing my vehicle in for repairs. Very impressed.

I had a rare occurrence where my sunroof was shattered by some object on the highway during a rainstorm. It was more difficult than an I had ever imagined to find a repair shop that could replace a sunroof, apparently dealerships do not even do that. Finally I found Gerber and I am very thankful for it. LaKeisha was so friendly and efficient over the phone. Jeff was very accommodating with the explanation on the processes being performed. I highly recommend Gerber Collision in Gastonia.

Sent my very smart wife by on 10/17/2018 to get an estimate because I heard a couple of good compliments about them from work. A lady there treated her like a dumb blonde. All she wanted was an estimate! We live close by and probably would have given them the business but NOT NOW!In response to the reply, there were no work order made. We had already got a couple of quotes. She told my wife we were just wasting our time. NO, SHE wasted our time. To the manager I would say that please instruct the employees in the future to give the (potential) customer what they ask for.

Progressive recommended this shop, as a certified service center. The process was very easy, as progressive set up my appointment to drop off the vehicle, and everything was handled between the insurance and the shop. The work was done in a reasonable time frame, and they called me regularly to keep me updated on the progress. All I had to do was show up and pay my deductible.

I use to work here as a alignment technician and my toolbox got broken into, they took over $2000 worth of air tools and power tools. When I called the police nothing could be done. The manager didn’t do anything. My concern is if my toolbox is in their shop then how is it not the business responsibility to ensure that employees have safe place to have their expensive tools. I had my box locked and they still broke in and robbed me and got away with it. It’s been two years but I’m still upset about it.

I took my Chevy Traverse here for repair. The person who caused the damage carried Progressive insurance. Gerber Collision and Glass was the closest repair shop with a Progressive representative on-site. Id never been to Gerber before. I worked with Karen at Gerber on the insurance claim. She couldnt have been any kinder or more courteous. She had all the paperwork ready when I arrived, greeted me with a sincere smile, and assured me that my car would be as good as new. And with 24 hours it was. I mentioned to her that my windshield was chipped from an unrelated event. She asked Tim to assist me. While I still on-site Tim initiated an auto glass claim with Nationwide, my insurance provider. He worked with Karen to have my windshield replaced as my car was being repaired. When I picked it up the next day, all the damage was repaired, the windshield was replaced, and, to my surprise, my car had been thoroughly cleaned inside and out. It was like driving a newer version of my car off the lot. I do plan on using them for any other repairs in the future. Highly recommended!

On the 21st of August i dropped my Kia off to get fixed. Jeff was the gentleman who helped me.I was spending the day with my grandbaby so I didnt want to spend a lot of time there. I usually do not post or right reviews, but my short experience with Gerber Collision in Gastonia, NC was so terrible I felt like I needed to share. It started back about a month ago when my wife took our car in to get an estimate done on the damage from an accident we were in. When she arrived the lady doing the estimate was extremely rude to her and told her that she was endangering our childs life and shouldnt be driving around in an unsafe car. The car only had sheet metal damage around the right front headlight and headlight housing, but both headlights still worked and suspension, steering, and frame was checked out to make sure the car was still drive able before taking it to them. After the estimate was finally done we schedule with them to bring it in on 10/31/19 to have the repairs done. A day or so before the scheduled drop off day we received a call saying that they have to push us back and reschedule for 11/13/19 due to everything being back ordered due to the GM strike that was going, but was assured that I would be able to get it in on the 11/13 to get it fixed. On 11/12 I called to Gerber Collision just to confirm my appointment was still on for the next day since I have not heard anything from them about a confirmation. The lady I spoke with at first did not see any record of my appointment and even told me that I have missed some appointments. I told her that I havent missed any schedule appointments and that it was Gerber that had rescheduled on me due to not having parts and being backed up. (come to find out after talking to my Allstate agent, they didnt even have record of me dealing with Gerber because Gerber did not relay any of this info to my agent and they were still sending me email telling me to schedule inspection which was already done). However, she finally did find my appointment for 11/13 and told me yes, they still have me scheduled and that I can bring it in to get the repairs done. At approximately 3:00PM I recieved a call back from Gerber telling me that I am going to have to reschedule for 12/3 because they are still backed up and can not get me in because they still have other cars still coming in. I asked the lady why they taking in other cars before mine and mine was scheduled? She said that they were backed up and scheduled to be fixed a while back. I then asked why they still had me scheduled and told that morning that I could bring it in if they knew they had so many cars backed up and she could not answer. I do not recommend Gerber Collision in Gastonia, NC to anyone due to their lack of communication and unprofessional-ism to there customers. The only reason we went to them is because they are one of Allstates preferred vendors and their work is backed any warrantied by Allstate (At the time we were told they were the only preferred vendor in the area, which we found out later they are not). And if I were Allstate, I would take a second look at associating with this company if this is a standard practice on how the treat there customers.

Lady at the front desk is very nice, but I was highly disappointed that they didnt do what they told me they were going to do. I went in for a rodent under the hood of the car and they were supposed to go in and take the dash apart and find it. It was sprayed with a strong deodorizer and cleaned.

Got into a small fender bender. Bumper needed to be replaced. Bumper wasnt set on right, it was thrown on and left crooked when I came to pick my car up. Car was also even more damaged when I picked it up. Had cuts and dents that werent there prior to being at this shop. My bumper was dropped, causing the paint to be peeled off. I complained so they fixed it. Still is not set right and my tag light is broken from them. Customer service from front desk is good, but the shop itself is worthless. Sick of having to take my car back to be fixed.

Very surprised about some of these negative reviews. Our experience was a seamless and very professional one. Angela, Katie and Daniel took care of our car repair in a thorough, quick and excellent manner.Remember that alot of these repairs are dictated by the insurance companies, not the repair facility, so they have to follow the insurance rules. If you are unhappy with the after market parts they were requiredto install on your car, simply tell them. In our case, they replaced our bumper with an OEM part but they had to go back to Allstate to get approval for that.They are good people and will make things right!

Had truck broken into while staying at a local hotel, was delighted to find that Gerber would replace my window on site by 2:00 that same afternoon. Got a call from the mobile tech that he was going to be late, they tech never called or showed. The nextt day, I went to work as I could not miss another day waiting on unreliable service. The jobsite is 14 miles from the original location and they were not willing to come an extra 14 miles to make up for the sorry lack of service I got the day before. These guys will make an appointment and blow it off without thinking twice...STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Well I guess Im not coming here for any business. I called in for an estimate and got immediately shut down by the lady on the phone. Me: Hey I was just trying to get a rough estimate for a paint job Her: Well. First you need to come in and have the damage inspected. Me: ...Okay. I guess I will head in. Her: Ok. click First, my car isnt damaged. Second, she couldnt even take the time out of her day to figure out what I was looking for. She just needed to shut me up so she could get back to what ever she was doing. Yea, screw this place.

Do not take your car here especially if you are a woman. They put parts on my car that were not for my car. Didnt say anything to me about it I guess thinking I wouldnt notice. Extremely disappointed. This is a brand new car. They clearly dont care about doing a job right more worried about getting job done fast

Progressive contracts this place for repair work. Be VERY careful getting your estimate with them. My wife brought our vehicle there today after the vehicle was hit by progressives policy holder. The adjuster did all in his power to not include items that were damaged and disregarded all our issues because thier insured hit our car! These people are a real piece of work! I would never recommend anyone go here! The progressive adjuster uses every excuse not to proper give you an estimate. I know that if I were there it would be a different story. Not nice when the adjuster repeatedly says you have to prove that the damage was cause by the accident! Hey jerk,! I have it on a video that my vehicle was hit! Thank You
