Barry and his team truly care about getting it right. I brought him my untouched ‘65 Mustang to make it my every day driver. No easy task. He did what he said and made everything right. Nothing ever goes perfectly with classic cars, but Barry communicates well, and he’s also a perfectionist. He wants you to be happy. If it’s not right, he takes care of it, no questions or extra charges. I love every minute in my Mustang thanks to Wilson Auto repair.

I was extremely pleased with the wide range of restoration services completed on my 66 Ford Mustang ! Barry and his team exceeded my expectations with outstanding work as well as excellent communications, along the way. I shipped my car to his location from out of state, and he made sure it was kept safe and secure during the entire process. I have the utmost respect for Barry and his highly ethical way of conducting business. If you have a cherished classic (Mustang, Bronco,...) in need of any restoration work, this is your place.

We visited the shop b4 asking for help and it appeared very nice. Owner SEEMED congenial. Many employed, several quadrants and lifts to spray room. Some of the cars in there SEEMED to be undergoing nut&bolt /rotisserie restoration So we felt comfortable- our convertible was sent in for front-end issues, power window, and power top issues. @ $8000.00 dollars later we were told the front end was done to perfection. Then to my surprise, we were told that we (and I quote) ..should not worry about the electric windows or top working..!!!! He was rude and curt -obvious that he did not want to fix it at ANY exorbitant price. 8 months later with very low use and miles the front end is making a loud POP when taking corners. We would not recommend Wilson and will never go back. Have since found someone that cares about the customer and any classic car need.

I found Wilson Auto Repair online and decided to use them based on all the positive reviews. What began as the installation of power steering in my 1965 Mustang led to an overhaul of the brake, fuel and suspension systems, which were in a much poorer state than I realized. Barry Wilson was great at keeping me informed of their progress and while it was a pretty hefty price tag overall, I’m very pleased to have a much safer, fun driver and wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again. You can definitely trust your classic car to Barry Wilson and his team!

Wilson Auto Repair has become THE place to go to if you want your car being handled in a professional way ! Our 1978 Ford Thunderbird had some A/C issues and Barry and his team fixed that problem in a short period of time, found the exact pieces needed and talked me through it along the way.We love the way Wilson Auto Repair communicates...first garage that keeps me posted on the progress of the repairs, the cost of it and the time needed to have it fixed. And every time it was done with less money than expected and faster than estimated. Thanks for an excellent job, yet again !

Horrible buisiness. Owners treats you like stupid child. Overpriced work with backwoods mechanics making your classic cars worse. Do not go here unless you like being ripped off lied to and making your classic car a trash can.

Spent $35,000 over 8 months on a 59 Cadillac. Initially noted brakes pulled hard to the left, my garage smelled strongly of gasoline, and car kept stalling but would immediately restart. Took car back to Wilson. Could not find anything wrong he said. Eventually took it to another shop and they discovered that my new gasoline tank was incorrectly installed and that Wilson had undersized an aftermarket electric fuel pump. Reinstalled gas tank and correct flue pump and stalling and has smell resolved. Brake issues were resolved when the 2nd shop discovered that the wrong grease had damaged my new brake pads. Had drums turned and new pads installed and now it is ok. I had to spend an additional $4500 fixing the items that Wilson refused to acknowledge had been done incorrectly.

My 1996 Bronco is not a classic, but they treated it like it was! Mr. Wilson and Rico addressed my wish list of major and minor things without issue. Very up front about the cost and benefit of what was being repaired and/or restored.

Very professional restoration of a 1947 Dodge parade car. Work quality excellent and thorough. This is not your place if you want quick or cheap. But if you complete and lasting work done by people who know old cars and how they will work on todays environment, this is for you as it was for me.

Not a very good place to take your classic truck, took my truck in for a electrical short and talked to to a man behind a desk for about 15 min explaining the problems I was having and his first comment was ( we start at 150.00 per hour. He did not get out from behind the desk or even look at my truck. I might have had a crossed wire or bad ground but he didnt even look at my truck or ask to raise the hood.I guess he does not want my business, or yours.:(

Brought in our 1985 Chevy C10 which we had bought from auction. Lesson learned - be cautious of auction vehicles even if they look like they are in great shape. Barry and his team did a in depth inspection of the car and came back with a very detailed list of problems which was much appreciated. The work was done within a few weeks with regular updates about our Chevy. Overall their team was very prompt and kind. We will be bringing our Chevy back certainly.

I have been doing business with Barry Wilson since the mid 1990s. Mostly just car repair stuff with the biggest thing being a rebuilt motor install. The negative reviews here dont sound anything like the man I have dealt with over the past 25+ years. The quality of his work is top notch and anytime we had a problem after a repair he has always honored his warranty.

1st red flag – 1st invoice had $860 line item that wasn’t correct. Agreed it was wrong and it removed. First real dealings showed lack of attention to detail and care.2nd red flag – each time we talked things were phrased as if the truck didn’t run. I drove it there and dropped it off.3rd red flag - $718 to rewire my horn.4th red flag – told my C4 didn’t go into reverse, $3500 estimate to rebuild. Explained thats never been an issue and that seems steep. 1 week later told it’s no longer a problem and everything works fine.5th red flag - Told my taillight needs to be rewired to pass inspection. Said it worked when i dropped it off and I know what rewiring costs at his shop (see 3rd red flag). Told it would just take 1 hour so I said go ahead. Few hours later told nevermind, it was just a bad connection.6th red flag – pick it up, super dirty, broken antenna, trash all over. Drive a few miles in 45mph zones with clear view of road, radiator busts because something heavy enough bent the fan blade into the radiator. IMO, it was something left on the engine.Barry is nice and seemed honest, but I feel taken advantage of and now my bronco is in my garage with a busted radiator that I have to fix. Barry did pay me for the radiator, but didnt want to install it for me. He had it towed to my house. After 3 months I paid $4500 for a distributor, some rewiring, a new windshield and some fabricated metal attachments for a child’s seat in the back.

Worst place Ive ever experienced in the 51 years Ive been alive, very disrespectful, Ive worked for a Ford dealership for 20 years 10 of those as a certified senior master tech through Ford training and was only there 4 months and that shop went through 10 tech after I got hired on and now I have left if that tells you anything about the place, I just think people should know the truth about the work environment there,

Where do I begin??? My parents took my 1987 jeep wrangler that they bought for my 16th birthday to Wilson Auto Repair. My jeep needed alot of work when they took it. They set Wilson Auto up with $1000 limit at a time for the repair that would be done. the 1st invoice was for $998 to get motor running . the second invoice was for like $850 the 3rd invoice was for $3500. they had my jeep forever and 10 years. they charges like $800 for the power steering pump then came back and charged another $400 because it stopped working and they had to clean the lines or something like that. Charged them over $200 to put the steering column back together and didnt even fix the windshield wipers, or turn signals when they put it all back together this place is a RIP my parents have given him almost $5000 and my jeep still is not road worthy. DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a very poor experience here. The shop had my 70 Corvette for an entire month, didnt do all the work we agreed to, and never gave me an estimated cost. For some reason, the owner didnt seem to care much, and didnt seem to want to work on my particular car. Maybe he just didnt like me for some reason (did say that I wasnt a real car guy like himself and his typical customers - maybe that was it). When I picked the car up it was filthy, and again, not all of the work was completed. Would not take my car back there.
