First time at a Shipleys. was disappointed that we couldnt go inside, but they made it up by giving us a few extra glazed donuts. The Thai tea was great, and the sausage kolaches were great as well!

Donuts are great, but service was surprising. Drive thru line was long, so I placed my order online while waiting. By the time I got up to the window, the order was not ready. I was asked to park and come in, so I did. Order was immediately ready, but as I went to the car I noticed it was incomplete. I had ordered multiple filled donuts, but apparently was only charged for and provided the first. Other items in the order that were properly charged were also missing. Ordering options could be updated so that improper selections cannot be made.

Let me just be simple about this place. Cant ever go wrong when it comes to Shipleys.

OMG never tried a kolache before, kinda like a hot pocket but fresh and way better. Poor little guy barely made it out of the parking lot. I loved their cream filled donuts too.

A friendly welcome! Coincidently walked in on “Donut Day”. I had the best cream filled donut I EVER had!! My boys got chocolate sprinkled and we were given 2 glazed for the occasion. We will be back :)

Love, love, love the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Our go-to for sausage and cheese kolaches and a bag of donut holes. Our furbaby gets excited when we say were going for kolaches!

Way to much bread on the kolaches....the ratio for cheese to meat and bread is way off. All this started 8 years ago.....why change something that was perfect?

They didnt have donut holes and the donuts were old. Glaze was nearly gone and wet.

The shop was lovely and the staff was awesome. And the food rocked. Love me some Kolaches. :)

Always packed in the mornings, but if you can be patient, its a great Shipleys.

04/10/2021 UPDATE: I want to thank Management for communicating with me and informing that I was not charged for the dozen donuts. On the contrary I got the whole other half a dozen free. As for the coffee it did not taste bad. Fortunately, the amount of milk and sugar that was added was at a good amount. I was just upset about the missed instructions but again Thank you for the communication and getting back to me 🥰I love Shipleys but this drive thru experience was not the greatest. Asked for half a dozen glazed donuts and two coffees with cream and sugar to the side. Lady spoke broke English and assured she understood my order once I got my order I got the opposite of what I ordered. I got a whole dozen box of glazed donuts and my two coffees had the cream and sugar already mixed in there. I had no time to get my order fixed but would definitely not come back to this location.

Man the smell you get walking in here is so enticing. I was walking in in order to try coalaches and just a colache, but right after I walked in I just had to buy atleast one donut. I was not let down, super simple super tasty convenient food with a clean store and good service.

Donuts were cold when received, although still good, would give 4 stars but drive through wasnt a pleasant experience.

I ordered an iced coffee with no ice since they fill the cup all the way to the top leaving very little room for coffee. They charged me for 2 cups of coffee. This place rips you off. If I wanted to overpay for coffee, Id gone somewhere else.

Soo, sooo good! Try their Vietnamese Coffee! Strong and sweet! Their sausage and cheese kloche are sooo good. Apple fritters bigger than my fist!!

This Shipleys has Thai tea, along with Vietnamese iced coffee and green milk tea!! Ive never been to a Shipleys that has these drinks, so it was truly an awesome find.Came here 20 minutes before closing and was instructed to walk to the drive thru window. I ordered several Thai teas along with a cream filled donut. The ladies who helped me out were really kind and ended up giving me five extra donuts on the house. The Thai tea is delicious as they use real tea leaves to brew it and not instant Thai tea powder.Customer service here is superb, and Ill definitely be back to try the other drinks.

Personally, I think these are the best donuts, thicker, fluffier, and soaks up my chocolate milk and holds it in for every bite. The best blueberry glaze cake donut I have ever had.

Shipleys Donuts in Galveston is my most favorite place to go every time I ride by on my bicycle I stop and get cream donuts

Talk about a Texas staple. This was my very first time here. They had great Thai tea. Bakery fresh donuts. And a knish. Definitely delicious way to start your morning. Definitely recommend!

Bad day for donuts on this trip. They were out of cinnamon donut twists and I was offered the cinnamon roll as an option. The cinnamon roll was dry and obviously not freshly made that day. Hubs got the blueberry filled donut and it was missing most of it’s filling. Normally this location has fresher donuts 🤔

I placed my order online through the Google Maps app and my order was ready for pick up in about 15 minutes. At the pick up window, I received excellent customer service and of course their kolaches and donuts are delicious!

Trying to support the local businesses during this hard moments, we stop in this place to buy some donuts and the moody lady dispatcher, said we have to buy big amount or otherwise she cant sell it. This business sucks. We haves to support only those business who deserves it.

Delicious and yummy kolaches

I stopped in on a late night visit to Galveston after 20 years. Enjoyed the atmosphere and watched the guys make fresh donuts. The mood was lively for an early morning. The donuts were good and the staff helpful. I recommend stopping in if your ever on the island.

Taste like hotdog and hamburger buns partly fried in rancid grease. Horrible. Not like other shipley locations.

Had a sign on their business that said carry out or drive thru. So we parked but they said we couldn’t come in. So we sat in the long line and they didn’t have glazed donuts or donut holes or really anything else. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is cuz they were nice and gave us a couple extra donuts.

The staff is polite and attentive, the food is a great start to my day with a wonderful verity to choose from without being overwhelming.

They were okay, but nowhere near deserving of their reputation. I showed up early and they were still out of some options I thought they should have had more of. The items I did get didnt blow me away, and they werent any different than a gas-station level pastry you can get for 1/5th of the price. Avoid this place, and find a better option on the island.

1st off, I have never liked Shipleys. Been to several locations across the US. One of my guys got some from this location and I didnt want anything to do with them till they all bragged how good they were. I tried them and, WOW. I had to walk across the street and talk to the owner and find out why his store was different than all the others. so impressed that I went in this morning for more.

Very rude lady in drive thru! Wouldnt honor a free breakfast and drink coupon that i had from school. She wanted me to wait for the owner to come and approve it. I dont have time to wait. Let your employees know about your promotions!

We LOVED the doughnuts, they are big and fluffy and we have tons leftover! They are just as good heated up! Service was great also, very sweet people.
