Absolutely top tier. They went above and beyond to fix my moms car when the alternator went out while we were in Texas for my uncles funeral.

Highly Recommend. I am a part-time island resident and was referred to Automotive Professionals by a full-time resident who praises their work. I have a 1999 Volvo and it is difficult to find a good mechanic whos willing to work on old foreign cars. I loved working with Mark, who can fix anything. I saved hundreds of dollars and a lot of inconvenience by not having to take my car to the Volvo dealership. I have used them several times. The car is running great - couldnt be more happy with my experience.

Beware they will mess your car up and have you pay extra! I been having my car for more than 2 years seen by 3 different mechanics never had an oil issue! I took my car there two days ago for a power steering issue. It went from that to I have an oil leak so they charged me $40 extra to put in oil. Next thing you know there’s gallons of oil under my car and the oil light is on. I took my car back and Mark (owner) says what you want me to do fix it I can but it won’t be for no free! Not to mention he had already confessed that he didn’t have much business coming there! I’m disgusted that mechanics are still doing woman this way!

My family and I were visiting Galveston when Tropical storm Imelda hit. Our car got in a bit of water and we damaged the tie rods and front right wheel when we tried to get out of it. We had the car towed to this shop since it was nearby and man did they take care of us. He understood we were trying to get home and had his guy run to the Mazda dealership in Houston DURING the storm to get the tie rods we needed. We had to wait an extra day to get the car due to flooding, but they charged a fair price and got us taken care of. So thankful for them.

Drove down from Dallas on a Sunday and started hearing a terrible noise coming from the front right tire. Called Automotive Professionals and Mark answered on a Sunday and told us he would open up Monday morning at 8:00 am and to bring in the vehicle at that time (this was great since we were not leaving until Tuesday and my parents also came down from Dallas, so we did have some form of transportation). Monday morning we told Mark what we thought the issue was and by 1:30 we had the vehicle back and the bill was only $48!!!! He confirmed that the issue was what we thought it was, fixed the issue and checked the other side and tighten that side up as well. We were in a vulnerable situation and he could have said it was anything, but was honest and fixed the issue without charging us an arm and a leg. Would definitely use again if needed and will definitely recommend.

After conducting some business I needed to tend to in Galveston, TX my Wheel Bearing on my Ford Focus was on the verge of breaking off on my way back to Houston. I was totally stranded and didnt know much about the mechanics in the Galveston area. I was lead to Automotive Professionals on 5012 Broadway Avenue J, Galveston, TX 77551. I met the owner by the name of Mark. He was very welcoming and immediately assuring that my issue with the vehicle would be taken care of promptly and correctly. Not only did Mark and his friendly assistant Guy fix the issue with my vehicle they went the extra mile and helped me out with another issue with my vehicle. Their prices are extremely reasonable and competitive. They are the one most hard working and honest mechanics I have ever dealt with in my years. I rate this company A plus and would recommend anyone with any automobile issues to take their vehicles here. Not only are they great mechanics they are true Angels.

This place charged us $3600 to put a new motor in and took over 4 months to get it done and a year later I have replaced several parts since than and still replacing parts. Now the motor is squealing, white smoke coming out exhaust, and my wife just drives around the island and that is it. This business is unfair and crooks. He told me it was a rebuilt motor and coming to find out the motor is from LKQ salvage. He only warrantied the motor for 90 days. Now I am having to get a lawyer and figure out the next route of action.

I usually perform the maintenance and repair work on my vehicle, but found myself pressed for time. Reluctantly, I brought my car to Mark. He was upfront in his diagnosis, and had already sourced the parts so was able to give me an accurate estimate. Mark then went so far, at no additional cost to me, to overnight parts in that werent locally available. His team performed exceptional work in a timely manner, and at a price that was better than fair. It is rare to find such an honest mechanic, but there is one right here in Galveston.

I was vacationing with my kids and dogs in Galveston when my van began overheating. This place was amazing. He got me in and even gave me a ride to my hotel and back again. It needed extensive work and he really stepped up to get us going quickly. I wouldnt say he was cheap, but Id say he was worth every penny. Very nice too.

I live on the Island and drive by Marks location daily but had never used his services. My car broke down on I-45 last Friday and I waited for over 2 hours for another shop to send a wrecker - no show. I got a ride to town and pulled over to the first shop I came to, Automotive Professionals. Mark immediately stopped what he was doing, took my information and had a wrecker get my car within minutes. He had a fast and fair diagnosis in a couple of hours and instead of the timing belt I assumed it was, it was only a sensor. To top it off, I forgot my checkbook when I went to pick my car up and Mark was courteous and trusting enough (of a complete stranger!) to let me drive my car home and come pay him later. What a pro! Who ever heard of that happening these days! I was so impressed, I took my other car to his shop to have work done to it, too! Thanks, Mark - youre the best and youve got a fan forever!

Mark has done quite a bit of work for me over the years. The work has been good and he has done only those things that I asked him to do. The price has been reasonable and the service done on time. Once there was a larger problem than either of us had expected, and of course that took longer and ended up costing more. But I can not complain about his work ethic or his abilities. Hes my mechanic.

This place is the most inappropriately named car repair place ever. We were referred by another place in town after they could not work on a foreign car we had. Biggest mistake ever. This place worked on my partners Kia to try to diagnose a noise in the rear. After replacing the shocks, the noise was EXACTLY the same. But then he just pretends like the noise did not still exist. Then he is asked to diagnose a problem with a Toyota Tacoma that is most certainly related to the exhaust system/catalytic converter, but ended up insisting that if he replaced spark plugs and an engine coil, the problem would be solved. We checked the code again and the code says malfunctioning engine coil and he is not feeling responsible to fix it despite the fact we have had the car back not even 24 hours. This guy is a charlatan. Do NOT take your car here. Now waiting on a tow truck to get it fixed somewhere else. I know, stupid, but I was letting my partner handle this, thinking a guy would do better at communicating with the repair shop.; It does not matter, though - this guy is a charlatan.

Dishonest doesnt begin to cover it! I took my Rialta there because the engine was missing. I asked them how much to diagnose and call me. They said there was an 80 dollar diagnostic fee and then they would call me with a repair estimate. I received a call in which someone named Mark said Im already 280.00 into it weve replace the plugs and it needs more parts, specifically a distributor cap and rotor. That will be another 100.00 and also, your generator is bad. I said It wasnt bad when I pulled the RV in and he answered it is now I didnt have them replace the generator and there was nothing I could do but pay the ransom. I went to pick up my RV and they had removed the plug wire so it wouldnt start until it was paid for. I paid for it, then started it and it ran EXACTLY THE SAME as when I brought it to them. Marks answer was sorry thats all we could do. Theyre just crooks. period.

I cannot believe Marc Borgle would take advantage of a senior citizen that is on a fixed income. After he told that person that he was not going to charge her, she came in for one thing and he did something else and charged her $80. He didnt even make a courtesy call 1st to see if she wanted the other thing replaced or not, instead he charged her for it. When he 1st said that he would not charge her, a friend who she thought, so she believed him. These poor senior citizens try to do stuff on their own and then get taken advantage of.

The 1 star reviews are true, stay far from this place. Ill try to keep this short and polite. I took my car in for air suspension repair, interior door handle repair, wheel stud replacement and break cleaning. I got to talk to Marc for quite a while and he seemed like a nice honest guy (thats his tactic.) Every other day while he was repairing my car it would be a new issue with the system and a new part to buy, I didnt question his integrity so I ended up spending around $1100 (600 labor, I bought the parts on my own.)I get a call half way through all this getting done saying he needs me to pay cause hes having money trouble so I did. days later when the car was done, I go to pick it up and the interior door handle was still not fixed (they never called to tell me, they just kept the money when I mentioned it), my breaks are now locking with the ABS light on, he also charged me $20 per wheel stud! (they cost $2.50!) and said they had to be special ordered. So I said Ill deal with this another day because I needed my vehicle that day and it had been in the shop for weeks (I didnt know the breaks were messed up till after I left.I came back to tell him I need to schedule a day where he can fix the break issue (for free of course) and I can come in and get it done right away. Here we are Thursday morning and he starts writing me a bill and he tells me it wont be done till the end of the day because he has other clientele and all he is going do is check them for free. I told Marc Dont worry about it. I can bet you he sure wont.UPDATE: discovered that they didnt even put my brake calibers back together properly, I was missing hardware on the front right caliber. DO NOT GO HERE!PS: dont get these jokers confused with Galveston Automotive Professionals, those guys are honest

Dont get Automotive Professionals confused with Galveston Automotive Professionals (like I did). Galveston Automotive Professionals was listed in the BEST of Galveston in the auto mechanic category. This place, Automotive Professionals, may not charge as much but they will make unnecessary repairs, so you end up paying more in the long run. I went to this business for over 2 years, thinking they were honest and less expensive. Then I found out otherwise (I guess Im a slow learner). The last time I had my car repaired at this shop (I have a 93 Mazda Miata), the estimate was for around $400. When I picked up my car, it was over $800! What the owner, Mark Droge, thought was the problem turned out NOT to be the problem, but he apparently went ahead and fixed the non-problem anyway. After changing the transmission fluid and putting in a new filter, he discovered the car needed the drive shaft(s) replaced. I dont know a lot about cars, which guys like this prey upon, and this sounded expensive to me. Id told him when I dropped the car off that morning that I did not want to sink a lot of money into this car anymore. To reassure me, I guess, he said the labor would only be around $80. When I asked how much the part was, he said around $200. As it turned out, the labor was WAY over $80, because he changed the fluid and filter anyway, and the part was $400, not $200. He assured me he got a deal on the part and actually saved me money. I paid the bill, against my better judgment, but I will never return to this shop again. Because I have an older car and wasnt able to buy another at the time, he made a LOT of money off me. There was no need to screw me over. Auto mechanics who take advantage of people because they know little about cars are the worst kind of vultures. So if you need an automotive professional, make sure you go to GALVESTON Automotive Professionals.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. The work performed on my car was very poor. Parts were missing and broken. Charged me to replace parts which were never replaced. All of the repairs he made failed. He said he would replace the missing parts, never did.
