Got down to Crystal Beach and realized my disc brakes were shot and needed replacement. Im 900 miles from home and really thankful I found Juan at J&C Automotive. Juan worked me in the day I called, finished the job and stored the car overnight/inside. Excellent service, work and price. Finding a reliable mechanic this far from home is a Lifesaver!

Took my 2014 Subaru Outback to several mechanics. After spending $2500 engine still got hot. J&C was my last resort. They did a through inspection found te problem that Subaru never spotted. Car running great. New radiator that was replaced by one of the other mechanics bursted. J&C fixed it from one day to the next runs great now. Highly recommend. Reasonable rates. Good communication.

I had a good experience here. They replaced some valve cover gaskets at a fair price. It’s a nice family run business father and son both were very pleasant.

Had a power window on the passenger side door problem. It is a family business therefore I was telling about the problem to the son. Had to leave the vehicle for the day. Was told what needed to be replaced that afternoon and the window was raised so I could use the vehicle that evening if I wanted too. Price was reasonable for the repair and was given the old part. Very friendly and Professional.

Friendly, cheap, quick turnaround

Great responsive staff! Can get in quick. Have taken my cars or trucks there for years for work and oil changes. Never had a problem. Decent prices, too! Highly recommend! The staff is patient and will answer questions about car maintenance, etc.

We came into Galveston for our first time and all of a sudden our power steering went out. We looked up automotive places and J&C had good reviews so we went on by to see if they could take a look and see what the problem was. They came right over to our car when we got there to take a look. We had to leave the car and Juan Sr. who is retired now was there and gave us a ride back to our hotel. They called us a couple of hours later and offered to also come pick us back up and the car was fixed up and ready to go. The price was super reasonable when I saw the bill not knowing what to expect and we couldn’t have met a nicer guys. If I did live here I would totally support this family business! Cannot say enough nice things about this business! Thank you for fixing our car up so we could enjoy the rest of our trip!

Had and issue with a starter and locked key in car. Since i had parked at their shop when i locked my car keys in there i was expecting an outrageous bill. Did not happen. They were very fair and did not take advantage of my situation like other shops would have. They were so fair i had got an oil change as well.Very pleased.

I came into Galveston from Houston for a mini vacay when my check engine light came on. I decided to take it by here to see if he could fix it before the day ended. When I arrived he told me that there were a few appointments ahead of me but that hed see what he could do. So I dropped off my car and he gave me a ride back to my hotel where I was staying at during my time here. Thankfully he was able to repair it before closing and when it was finished he even picked me up from the hotel so I could get my car and pay for the repair. By far, the best customer service Ive ever received hands down. If youre ever coming from out of town and need to get your car repaired for whatever reason, I definitely recommend bringing it by here!

Fast and courteous service

I am so grateful to have found these guys! I have a 94 F350 diesel truck and it barely ran when I first bought it. I went to several shops who did a poor job- before I found J and C. Juan is very professional and knowledgeable. Prices are always very reasonable and they do great work. Its so awesome to have a mechanic I can rely on!

Im from out of town and developed a coolant leak. They got me in and fixed and price was reasonable.

This place was recommended to me. When I picked up my vehicle, I asked what they did to repair my vehicle and could not get a clear answer except, we checked it with our machine and unplugged the ABS system causing the ABS light to flash. Too bad, thought it was going to be a better experience.

This place should be shut down and flushed down the toilet with the rest of the crap where belongs.I went to ask about replacing my ball joints which are Small parts. Without looking at my truck or getting under to see my issue,the older guy just sat at his desk and acted as if he was making phone calls about parts,I told him I ordered the parts brand new..I just needed him to put them in.He told how much trouble they are to put in and it was gonna cost me about $900 dollars,my jaw dropped!I told him thats crazy..these are small parts but he got an attitude and said Im a mechanic,you are not!I know what Im talking about!I told him while I was leaving I cant pay that ridiculous price..and thats probably why there was not one single car in his shop, that was a sign already I should have kept moving.Lol!!So I went to juniors tire shop on 61st and Stewart.. Their mechanic Domasso got to checking out my issue.. Got under the truck told me he could do it in a day..for only 175.I was like really?! So I let him and now this place has gained a customer. Never!Never!Never! Go to J&C automotive..Ill tell anyone now to go see Juniors tire shop.Professionals who know how to treat people who work hard for their money.
