The la mian noodles are super yummy. I ordered the spicy one and it’s really hot but could still taste the flavors. Bubble tea is also my other top favorite. Bobas are well cooked, not overly soft or hard, just right with enough chewiness. Price is good too. Another favorite is Portuguese egg tarts. Pricey but good when you don’t feel like making them yourself! 😉
On a Saturday morning at 11 am, we were the only ones there. Take-out-only due to the pandemic. I ordered the spicy wonton soup, small cherry pie, Portuguese egg tart, Japanese cheesecake, and taro boba tea.The wait wasn’t bad, about 10 minutes. The service was friendly (I think it was the owner), and he gave menu many options, which I really appreciated. Service was 5/5.I really liked all the food, though the Portuguese egg tart wasn’t quite what I was expecting. The crust was super flaky, but the inside was a little more like pudding, and not as firmly set as I’m used to.The Japanese cheesecake was just to my liking. It’s right in between the crumbliness of a traditional flour cake and the creaminess of a cheesecake. It’s sort of a weird texture if you are not used to it, but I love it. It’s a little expensive, but well worth it. I’ve considered making it in the past, but a couple Youtube videos later, found it too overwhelming to even bother with. The wonton soup was the only hot dish that we tried, and it was perfect: Spicy, fragrant, and piping hot. A little hard to eat in the car, but worth the effort. The cherry pie was flaky, buttery, and the crumb topping had a nice little bite to it. Well worth the four dollars.Lastly, the taro boba tea: Not bad, but I’ve had better. The boba was a bit more firm than I think it’s supposed to be.Absolutely worth checking out. I will definitely visit again.
The woman in the bakery was so sweet! I loved my pecan pie- but I wasnt a fan of the coconut boba... it just tasted like milk. But other than that, I enjoyed!
Best pies and tarts EVER! This chef can cook!!! They are also one of the very few places that sells Bubble Tea in Franklin. Clean, up to date atmosphere, convenient location. Open Sundays too! Great place to bring visitors from out of town or get pies for holidays, church gatherings and special occasions! Prices are very reasonable too! (See photos for details.)
Sweet Dreams have great pork noodles. And the vanilla milk boba tea was amazing. It does take about 20 minutes for the noodles to be ready but it’s worth it! I recommend it!
Just average drinks and perhaps the minimum level of acceptable customer service. The staff seems super paranoid about Covid and only operate through a window and self made (albeit decently) speaker and mic. They dont accept cash, which I assume is due to the possibility of Covid being on the cash. Then they very briefly open the window to take your card for payment while wearing disposable clear gloves, and to hand off your drinks, then quickly close it as if the customers might violently spew disease at them at any moment. I get being cautious, but this feels way over the top, especially considering the latest new case data in TN.
Taro tea was good but even though i was the only person in line, the woman was rushing me to decide on a snack, and even tried to make the decision for me saying “get this, it’s good” and ringing it up when it wasn’t what i wanted. i decided not to get a snack at all and to only get the tea. i gave her my card and it declined and i told her to swipe it again bc i know it has sufficient funds, she said “it doesn’t work” and handed it back to me and shut the window. soooo beyond rude and i was very excited to try this place.
Place is pretty great. The main lady who runs it can come off a little curt, but it is fine. Dont let that bother you.
Just ok nothing really special tried the Japanese cheesecake but it was really nothing spectacular. For 14.99 I think I think is too high for just an ok cheesecake.
Great affordable bubble tea like the kind id get back home in ny, and that is high praise
This place is in my top two of best bubble tea in middle TN. Milk tea with bubbles and egg custard is the bomb! Most similar to Taiwanese bubble tea stands 100%. Only complaint is my call ahead order was not prepared until I got there and reminded them of order. Worth the wait though since they were busy! Its my go to for when the bubble tea craving hits.
Excellent small business with limited menu but bomb quality and taste. Definitely recommended if youre in Franklin area.
My husband and I visited this bakery for the first time last weekend. We arrived there shortly after opening with no other cars in sight. The bakery had set up a take-out window at their front door area, prohibiting customers from setting foot inside. I actually liked this set-up very much as I have been reluctant to enter stores/restaurants due to the pandemic. After reviewing the menu, we ordered the highly coveted Portuguese egg tarts and a few other items. We expected to be given our pastries shortly after placing our order, but were surprised we had to wait nearly 15-20min before hand. Considering it was our first time there, it was off-putting that the lady who assisted us did not mention anything about an extended wait time. We noticed a couple other ppl who arrived after us and observed they too had to wait. One person only ordered 1 item and still had to wait for a bit. When our order finally arrived, we were extremely annoyed with the overall wait time considering that its a bakery, where all the pastries should have already been prepared and ready to go. I would have definitely given this place a much lower review, HOWEVER, its saving Grace is that the Portuguese Egg Tarts, the Moon Cakes and pies I ordered were absolutely divine!!! The egg custard was silky smooth, rich and perfectly sweet. The top was slightly carmelized and the delicate flaky crust blew my mind. As much as I wanted to rate them a 1, I simply couldnt because I was so impressed with my entire order. Instead, I am giving Sweet Dreams Bakery a 4, nicking 1 star because of the wait time. Regardless, I highly recommend this place. 💖
Best Milk tea boba place near Nashville is in Franklin TN. A real Asian flavor, mine was a little too sweet but next time I will order less sugar, in general is the best one I have tried . I have been tasting all the boba places in Nashville and there is one that I like and that one is OK. I’m so sad this one is too far from my home but I’m sure every time I have come to Franklin I will definitely go to Sweet Dreams Bakery & Bubble Tea.
The owner doing poorly in math, I corrected her, and she yells at me. The bread is as hard as stone.
Im from out of town and is a boba tea fanatic. I was quite impressed that it was good.I hate due to COVID we couldnt go inside. I wanted to try some bakery, I eat with my eyes so I have to see the items. Ill definitely stop by again if Im ever in the area.
My husband and I have visited this bakery dozens of times for sweet treats and bubble tea. I typically get the classic milk tea with boba pearls as a smoothie, and it is always blended well and tastes wonderful. I haven’t tried their food options yet, but they look delicious so I’ll update my review. I would highly recommend!
Finally, authentic east asian dishes. From the spicy wonton soup mixed with chilli oil, to Sichuan spicy chicken. Really cant get closer than this. The wonton soup was spicy, starchy, filled with meat, and fantastic. Also got original milk tea with lychee bubbles, very sweet and refreshing. Will be back for sure.
They ran out of bubbles for bubble tea. Its literally in their name. Will update if we ever get a chance to try them again and they have bubbles. Lol
Great boba, food and service
This place is wonderful. The spicy chicken is so tender and moist. Authentic Chinese chicken with a dynamite sauce (and a very large portion). Don’t just come here for the bubble tea and the egg tart (also OUTSTANDING). As a Chinese person, I give this place five stars. I just wish I could have tried the pies as well.
WORST SERVICE. DO NOT GO HERE ON LUNCH BREAK. Online ordering appears functional but is not. In person ordering took 30 minutes waiting outside the store to receive 1 drink and 1 order of dumplings. Served 4 people with larger orders after mine before I received mine. Extremely disappointed. Do not bother with this place.
I absolutely love this place and was looking forward to enjoying the egg tarts and bubble tea on my trip home. I hope they do not remained closed for much longer!!!
I ordered 3 bubble teas at 5:03 ... its 5:37 and Im standing out front of the store, leaving this review, still bubble tea free (its 5:45 we got our drinks)
Was recommended here by another place that was closed. Brought my daughters & their friends here for my youngest birthday. All enjoyed and was the best we ever had!! I wished we had a Boba cafe in our small town :( hopefully next time I can try these tarts everyone is talking about!!
We ordered a few bubble teas to go, and thought it was a bit weird when people were coming and going with their orders when we still hadnt gotten ours after 15 or so minutes. After bringing it to their attention they whipped them up quickly and offered us a complimentary bakery item, which was very thoughtful. Unfortunately, the teas just werent great and one was made wrong. Additionally they were a little watery for milk teas and kind of soapy tasting. Glad we only got the regular size.
My favorite bubble tea place in town -- tea isnt too thick or watery, and the boba pearls are made to perfection every single time. never been disappointed in this place. love sweet dreams so much!!
Always great goodies here!
I cant say enough GREAT THINGS about this place. First, the ownership is incredible. They come out each and every time were in there to talk to us about our experience with their bubble tea, pies, and egg tarts. They genuinely care about our feedback, how fresh their pastries are, and they are very concerned about the customer experience as well. How many places even do that anymore? This family run bakery has top notch service that never disappoints!Second and even more importantly though, the food is incredible. We ordered a chocolate chip pecan pie for Thanksgiving, and it is one of the best pies Ive ever had. It stayed fresh well beyond even the first day we had it, and you can tell that both the recipe and the time taken to bake it were followed very carefully. My wife is from Taiwan, and she has been looking for a bubble tea place in Nashville, and she is delighted to have found this place. I love the combination of pastries Im familiar with as well as the different cultural ones my wife loves from growing up back in Asia that I have been able to try.I highly recommend trying this place. It wont disappoint you, and you will be back more than once! I cant wait to get my next pie!
Any expectations I had for this humble store in Franklin were vastly exceeded by the quality of product available.Sweet Dreams tea is a cut above similar stores, their beverages always taste fresh and delicious reflective of intensional product decisions. They provide sweetness customization and are one of the few stores to have grass jelly as a textural option.Cheesecake. Do not pass up on their cheesecake. Not foolishly marred with fruit or candy, this impossibly light dessert changed my perception on what cheesecake should be.One of many delicious pastry options.Their wantons are also worth mentioning. Although not on their menu (last time I visited) they are tasty, comforting, aromatic and an affordable light lunch option, just ask!Sweet Dreams direct approach to sales may rub some the wrong way, however their products are well worth any awkwardness.
Ordered Boba tea, chocolate pie, and Portuguese egg tart. Love the food and drink, its really good! Will definitely come back!
I absolutely freaking LOVE this place. I go there almost every weekend with my mama. It’s cute, everything is tasty, and the employees are always nice and polite. Their Taro bubble tea is amazing, i recommend y’all try it 🥰
Love their bubble tea. They are open and working safely. I feel confident ordering here.
Awesome bubble tea and tarts. Always a good experience visiting.
Love their egg tarts so good and addictive. If I lived closer I would buy all they had frequently. Cant get enough of them. No where else sells them and they are worth a visit alone.
Yummy-my little sister
My girlfriend and I absolutely love it here! Totally would recommend their bubble tea and egg tarts
The bubble tea is a very interesting and delicious experience. I think this restaurant needs more employee help
Amazing bubble tea. Definitely the best in town. The bakeries also look amazing.
This is a beautiful, quaint bakery with incredible pies and tarts! Their little egg tarts are wonderful. They also have bubble tea! Its a milk based tea. If youve never had it, you dont know what youre missing. There are multiple flavors with different bubbles.
I LOVE this family owned bakery! They serve one of a kind goods here and the Portuguese egg custard are to die for!!! I had one and I will be coming back as much as my pants allow!
I come here way to often 🙃. The bubble tea is fantastic. If you happen to see pineapple bread in stock definitely get some.
A cozy atmosphere. It seems to be family owned with very considerate attention to the customer. Everyone smiled at you and the tea was served quickly with great flavor. I recommend the chocolate milk tea with boba
I heard about the place from some friends. I came and tried wontons, cheesecake, and egg tarts. They tasted amazing. Everything tasted super authentic. Also, I highly recommend vanilla bubble tea. Definitely bringing some friends to try next time.
Love this place! Its an adorable family bakery. Everything is homemade. The egg tart is my favorite thing to get there, definitely recommend it. The Bubble tea is also really good, it has a different taste from what Im used to, but I like it a lot!
Very good bubble tea and egg tarts. My girlfriend got the cheesecake and said it was really good too. Would go back.
Bubble tea is a special treat, we had never tried but loved it. Egg tarts are spectacular and cheesecake is sublime. We really enjoyed and plan to go back soon.
Good bubble tea even better pastries. TARRO EVERYTHING
First time visiting Sweet Dreams Bakery & Bubble Tea. I had my two kiddos and Sister with me. I walked in at around 7:40 p.m. like an annoying customer being they close at 8:00 p.m. I asked if it was too late to serve four and he did not hesitate one bit! We have been here and there to different Bubble Tea places, Sweet Dreams has the BEST by far. Great and friendly service. Definitely worth the drive from Hendersonville. Will be back again very soon!
I really enjoyed the treats. Im not a bubble tea fan but the family said they did a great job on the tea. I like the pies and tarts. Worth a stop by if you are in the area.
Great egg tarts! They are served warm & they are delicious!
I would give them less if I had the opportunity. The customer service was terrible...literally the worst ever! Very dismissive and rude! I will not spend another dime at this establishment!
Bubble tea is fantastic as all get out, and then you jump into their sweet pastries and your beautiful mind is taken immediately from this dimension into another one where words cannot describe the bliss. Everything tastes delicious beyond belief. I ordered an egg tart and a frozen passion fruit bubble tea.
As soon as I read that there was a bakery in Cool Springs that served Japanese light cheesecake, I drove over there and got two loaves... they didnt last very long :-D! I also enjoyed their bubble tea very much. Will definitely come back :-)!
Great bubble tea!
Delicious and well priced!
Excellent food and boba! We got a coffee boba with coffee jelly and a strawberry/peach slush with boba. Both super fresh and delicious! We’ll be back for sure.
I’m a little obsessed with this place. Everything I’ve had here is delicious. I dream about the Portuguese egg tarts and bubble tea frequently, and will probably head over this morning even though I went last night! 😊
Great bakery! I got a Chinese style egg tart and the owner suggested I sprinkle some cinnamon on it. It was delicious! They also have pies, breads and “fluffy” Japanese style cheesecake (which I will be back for!).
This shop is just too cute! They have a great selection of Bubble Tea and Japanese cheesecake. Can’t say enough good things about this amazing little shop hidden in the middle of Cool Springs.
This bakery is absolutely adorable! The owner was very nice and the Passionfruit Green Tea Punch with Bubbles was delicious and I love that you can choose how much sugar content you want in the drinks. The bakery items were also delicious!
They don’t have Thai tea which is exactly what I came for so I give 3 stars for that...I also give 3 stars since their boba was all stuck together. It’s supposed to be separated. Not at the bottom of my cup.
Great boba and delicious soup! :)Also, the Portuguese egg tarts are amazing.
Good spot for snacks and bubble tea! A delicious mix of Southern and Asian pies and pastries, and friendly folks running the show. The egg tarts are ridiculous (thats really really good)!
Glad to see a place like this in Franklin. The bubble tea is pretty good! Not too sweet like other places Ive tried.
Very nice people working here. bubble tea was really good and the pastries looked and smelled just as good. i’d come again for sure
The best homemade egg tarts I’ve ever tasted! Fresh & right out of the oven. The perfect sweetness & flakiness! Yum!!!
Good bubble tea, and excellant wonton soup.Very good bread which are only offered on weekends.Would be better to offer some food without pork.
Japanese cheese cake and original Bubble tea was not bad. Owner was super nice.
I love this place, great cheesecake, awesome bubble tea, and the short rib noodle soup is amazing ♥️♥️
The boba are just right, which is hard to find, especially in this part of the country. There is no Thai Tea which I think is a boba staple. There is also no Vietnamese Coffee, either. Less of a staple but still my favorite boba drink. The coffee milk tea that they do have is pretty good but could be stronger. I look forward to trying this place again.
Tasty lunches, desserts and bubble tea. Also good service. 👍🏻
Waited almost 10 minutes and no one came out and took my order. Multiple people in the kitchen and no one would come greet me or take my order the most they said was hold on. Was not impressed and will not be back
The tea was great and they have jiggly cheesecake, but they were out of regular bubbles and cheesecake when I got there.
This place is amazing!!! I’ve been looking for a place with good bubble tea and I’m so glad I found this place! Their pies and desserts are delicious too!!! Love this place!
My daughter and her father went to get some and she said she took a sip and got hot then nauseated. She had a very upset stomach and threw up she said it tasted like rotten milk or the boba was rotten. I tried it and so did her father is was awful. Very disappointed ☹️😬🙄
Stopped on a whim, looking for bubble tea. Decided to take a couple of the small pecan pies back to the room for myself and wife. So glad I did, theybwere absolutely delicious!!!
Lovely shop! Great boba, cute aesthetic
VERY good boba tea, and extremely good prices!! Very pleased.
Very clean and cute environment. the milk tea is so delicious. 10/10 recommend!
First time me and my girlfriend went there. No lie the mixed berry pie is bomb get over there NOW
I come here multiple times a month. The food is the bomb. The bubble tea is the bomb. The cheesecake is the bomb. Im sure anything else I get here in the future will be....the bomb.
Love this place for bubble tea and food!!
Id been searching for a local bakery for Chinese-style pastries and breads for literally over a year and had just about given up hope when I discovered that Sweet Dreams had opened up shop in Franklin! The shop is very well-appointed and sells a few varieties of Chinese baked goods (pineapple buns with sweet custard / 菠蘿包, savory meat-and-scallion bread, taro bread, pastries with mooncake-style sweet bean fillings, and egg tarts / 蛋撻), as well as a wide selection of 4 and 9 (by pre-order) Southern-style pies and bubble tea. We tried a little of everything - the Chinese pastries/buns are just like the ones I grew up with (from Bostons Chinatown), the pecan pie was scrumptious and measures up to my favorite area pie shops, and the bubble tea was solid with customizable toppings and sweetness levels. The owners are super nice and welcoming, and theyve curated a unique style of decor that melds together a modern Southern aesthetic (lots of wood and a sliding barn door) and Asian design elements. My wife and I will definitely be back! My only selfish wish is that their business grows to the point where they can open a second branch in Nashville proper so we can drop my more often!
Bubble tea is great and the pastries looked amazing but I didnt get to try any of them
I enjoy their bubble tea. My son likes pork song roll and egg tart.
Amazing flavor!
Great food
It took 20 minutes to make to bubble iced teas .and they screwed up the order ... a few Asian people showed up after and they got there bubble teas before us even though we ordered first ... service is horrible and slow. And when we comment on there service they laughed ...
30 mins to get a couple of bubble teas and some wonton soup to go... nobody in front of me.
Great place! Authentic Chinese snacks.
Great boba tea in Nashville. Like it so much.
It’s so happy to have the tradition chinese food!!!
Best tapioca pearls Ive had.
Try the secret menu wonton soup, omg, so authentic and fresh.
