I am sooo pleased with my experience with Mc Donald Lumber. I got to talk to a sales person instore who gave my wife and I personal attention to help decide what we were looking for. What we bought was made on site and we went to pick it up right behind the store where they were made. Everyone was friendly and most of all I was supporting a local business!

Knowledgeable staff and always have what I need to get the job done. Also have some hard to find products.

Online the store hours are listed open until 5. However they close at 4:30. Drive all the way from Raeford to come here and arrive at 4:35 only to see an employee walking out saying they are already closed. Very disappointed in this small/local business. Update your hours it’s 2021.

Very disappointed in the company and the owners response to our doors. We’ve had them for about a year and they have never fit correctly one actually tilts a little bit on the inside. With that said they’re blaming it on the installer… Go figure! Now, we have two sets of these and we are out $900 plus installation x 2 and they are not willing to compromise or help us whatsoever. We have lived here for over 30 years and always would have recommended them… Very disappointed and would never use another item in their store.

Everyone at the store was very helpful, with valuable recommendations for a small project. Very hometown feel, everyone seemed happy to help a customer. Lumber yard worker was patient and kind while my wife picked out the pieces of lumber she liked best. Even helped make sure the load was as secure as it could be in my short bed truck.

Ive been going to McDonald lumber for years they have always been very professional very helpful and always explain things to me when I didnt understand them and today was exceptional just like always the nicest lady waited on me she fixed my paint for me and helped me with other things that I needed and I greatly appreciated her help as always the store looked really nice and neat and everything was in place and theyre always ready to help you with anything that you wish to purchase from them and theyll help you find it great experience

I called there today and asked if they had Flex Seal and how much it was. The gentleman told me that they had it and the price, so I went there to get a couple cans of it. Upon arriving, I looked around and couldnt locate it, so I asked for some help. The same gentleman I spoke with told me where to find it. I looked again but did not find it. I grabbed a can of something else, not Flex Seal, and showed it to him, and he said yes, thats it. I told him it was not Flex Seal and he said that is what he was talking about. Why did he feel to need to lie to me when I called? If you dont have something, then tell people that, dont lie about it!! I hate liars, that guy cost McDonalds all of my future business there. I have had good experiences in the past and spend thousands there on quality stuff, but will not be back because of that liar. He had no idea why I wanted to buy what I wanted to buy, and should have been honest instead of luring me there with some product that was similar to what I wanted to buy. That is just bad business!

Do no carry replacement scraper blades.

Customer service ??? They dont have it. Thank you for costing me 1123.00This is the second time I have ordered doors from this place both times doors were not what I ordered. Of coarse they told me it was my fault, I have ordered doors from many other place with no issuesI would not by s**t from this store.If you wanna good quality service got to 84 lumber on belt blvd.

Fantastic service and high quality supplies. Recently had an awful experience with Lowes so I decided to give McDonald Lumber a try. Not disappointed at all. Warmly greeted when I walked in, offered help when I asked questions, and they gave me a discount without me asking. they have my loyalty for all my construction and home projects!

The best place to buy material to build many projects, from a house to to just a simple deck, they have it all, Richard and Joe are very knowledgeable of all construction needs and could answer just about any question you may have for a material or project.

Went to McDonalds this morning after calling as it seemed that no one else would/could cut 4x4 to a size I needed...6 feet!! The people at the front desk were wonderful and the man in the warehouse was really nice. I am glad that someone in Fayetteville realizes not everyone has power tools to cut what they need. I did look around the showroom and they have a lot of supplies and are very helpful in locating an item for you. I was disappointed that some of the larger building supplies just point you in the right direction...Its over there! At McDonalds Lumber, they take you right to it!! Will return!! Oh, they answer the phone and can help you over the phone...wasnt on hold for forever!!!!

Don’t ever order any doors from this company. Robbie is very poor at doing his job. They are notorious for quoting you wrong price over phone and when you come to order and pay for it they blame you for the mistake. They never admit they made a mistake and offer to help fix the situation. Also they mark their doors up over 25% what they actually pay for them. Poor poor customer service!! I guess customer service is not important to them.

I really try to buy locally if possible but I am not impressed with this store from a homeowner point of view. They close at noon on Saturdays so running for a extra part on the weekend is unlikely. I went to buy a bag of concrete and all they had was 80 pounders versus a box store that has everything from 2# to 80#. Their selection and hours are geared towards professionals versus a guy doing a home repair, which there is nothing wrong with but not conducive to my needs.

Great staff, friendly, front sales desk very knowledgeable and hospitable, reasonably priced, great delivery service, custom doors units made on site with quick turn around, warehouse materials well stocked with helpful associates, management is proficient and considerate.

I called to ask was they give any plywood for free like some of the lumber people in Wilmington NC to cover windows for the lady to laugh at me on the phone, I think that was so rude and disrespectful there is a hurricane coming. This is supposed to be a Christian state where we are supposed to help in a time of need did to be laugh at. I pray for the laugh who took it as a joke.
