I think they lost my wheel lock because the tow guy had it and put it back in the trunk. They took an extraordinarily long time, all day, to remove spare, get nail out and replace tire. The technician Crystal was polite and knowledgeable. Good luck!

Paid a ton to get my master cylinder replaced, it was bad again in a couple of weeks. The part was still in warranty but had to pay for service again. They also fixed my power steering. Brought it back due to oil leaking somewhere. Guess what, the leak was power steering oil. I know Im paying to replace parts but it seems like they are just performing band aid repairs.

Fantastic business who will go the extra mile to get the job done. Brought my carin on a Friday and they quoted me half the day. Like things, it took a bit longer than expected, but they stayed on and worked a smidge past closing to finish the car. They couldve easily closed shop and rolled it into Monday,but they didnt. I brought this Midas my wheels and new tires I bought on line to change (brought them in my pickup truck, they did not dismount my wheels). They called me 4 hours later saying they were having a hard time uninstalling the old tires, because they are low profile. The tire size is 255/35r18, on an 18x9.5 wheel, nothing special about this tire size. Low profile? Sure, but Ive never had an issue with anyone changing the tires on these at all. I have heard of issues when people run a crazy small sidewall (like 25), but 35 on an 18 is no big deal. After a few more hours, I called them as they were closing soon, they said they couldnt get the tires off. Fine, I drive down to pick them up and take them somewhere else and find that they have completely ruined one of my wheels. The face of it was completely scratched up. Not just the paint, there are multiple divots and grab points that clearly go DEEP into the aluminum of the wheel. I made great note of this, documented the 9 or so locations that damage occurred (clearly from someone trying to dismount the wheel upside down on the tire machine, I am familiar with the machinery). It has been over six weeks since the damage has happened, and I have been calling the location, their customer support and resolution center, made a complaint with their corporate office, and been in contact with their resolution manager with ZERO thought of a solution. They clearly have been trying to ignore me in hopes that I will forget about the damage. Constant excuses, they refuse to actually address the issue. The customer service is embarrassing here. I learned how to mount tires in high school, even low profile, because most modern cars have a pretty small sidewall. Dont go here, something as simple as a tire change will go terribly wrong.

My 20 year old son Tyson had recently got his pads and rotors done at the Midas at fair oaks and greenback in Sacramento California, a couple days later he starts having a shaking issue when stopping so he calls them and they say We got a bad batch of rotors and bring it in for inspection he brings it in and they end up breaking off a wheel stud, completely stripping the lug nut out. They refused to fix the stud and charged him 8 dollars for a new lug nut. They also broke a big gaping hole in the hubcap and didnt offer to fix that either and sent him out to drive home with only 3 lug nuts holding the tire on. My wife and I are extremely upset about this. if his tire had flown off on the way home it could have killed somebody, and Im very confident its actually against the law to allow someone to drive home an unsafe vehicle. We will be reporting this to every available agency possible in our area. I honestly hope the person who did that work loses there job. That is completely unacceptable and irresponsible, and I will tell every single person I meet for the rest of my life to never EVER go to Midas!

The gentleman I delt with was very friendly and knowledgeable and the service was fast. However, the actual service was sloppy. They left oil filter loose and it made a huge mess in my driveway, Im lucky the oil didnt all leak out and destroy my motor on the drive home. And they supposedly changed the wiper blades, but they dont seem like new blades... Perhaps they just tried to clean them. Needless to say, I will not be returning here for service again.

Had a 10am appointment to get AC checked. After waiting almost 1.5 hours I decided to check the status of the car because I had been waiting outside around the corner the whole time. As I approached the shop I noticed my car was still sitting outside. When I asked the guy at the counter for an update he said they just pulled it in. Obviously they hadnt just pulled it in because it was still outside sitting in the exact location as I parked it.He then told me it would take another hour to have it looked at. At that point I decided to go elsewhere and left.Will not be returning here.

Bad management, bad service. They had my car for nearly the entire day just to come up with youll have to take it to the dealership. Im not dissatisfied with the answer but their complete lack of communication during this, all communication about the status of my vehicles issue were initiated by me and not until my vehicle was there for 3 hours (they had it for 8 hours total). Aside from the no communication issue the manager was borderline rude in all interactions, including those that he had with his own staff who from what I saw lack respect for the manager and couldnt even acknowledge a direct instruction. I was a returning customer, but Ill go elsewhere.

Went in for routine oil change and check-up. First time going here. Initially the owner/manager was nice and friendly with us. Dropped off the car no problem. Once we got our car back, the guy flipped a switch and turned the attitude up to 11, talking down to us, and saying that since our check engine light is on it could be a catalytic converter issue and end up costing us $6k or so, and trying to get us to pay $150 for a diagnostic. Weve already gotten it looked at before and it was determined to be an electrical issue. Pretty sure they were just trying to upsell us since our service was only $70. Plus if I wanted a lecture I would have gone to my father. Wont be returning to this location.

These guys have been my regular mechanic for almost four years--love these guys. My brakes went out over the three day weekend. They squeezed me in Monday morning even though they were slammed. Its unfortunate and angers me... my elderly mother has been bringing her vehicles here, solely, and for everything for the last 8 years. She trusted their word and work. They always took care of her. But it seems there are new people there. Her last visit they outright tried to pull one over on her. Straight up lied trying to upsell her for a quick buck... mainly a new tire because of a fictional nail in the sidewall... mind you she had just purchased all 4 tires from them a few month ago. When questioned by her at the time of picking up her car and reminding the new guy, only they had touched this vehicle in the past for all repairs, he gave her an extremely bad attitude, was rude and dismissed her to say the least. They lost a loyal customer and she will not be returning. Scam artist hack jobs now. Bummer.

The Midas at Fair Oaks and Greenback in Citrus Heights is amazing. Its a little pricey, but well worth the money. They are truly honest mechanics. Been going to this shop for 15 years.The shop has had at lease 2 owners. The managers are very polished in their speech, howsever, their servicing of my wife and my vehicles. is terrible. My wifes 88 chevy van has sat in our driveway or in their shop for nearly 2 years after they worked on it. Currently, Dan the manager, is not personally doing test drives. Around May 1, I described My wifes vans symptoms as having valve or lifter problems as per Dan.The motor has 5-10k miles on it. He had his men do $650.00 worth of tuneup work, etc. No one ever did a test drive. Dan commented I don.t know what my guys were smoking when they worked on the van. However, Dan has not offered to check the valve problems or lifter problems, presumably because he does not have qualified mechanics on staff. Nor has he offered to refund the $650.00. I guess this is because he is not the owner and doesnt have the authority for refunds. He said that he was going to talk to the owner about what to do. He has not talked to the ownerAs soon as my wife got into the van, she noticed that Midass work had not changed anything ($650.00). We brought it back the next day. It has now sat there for 19 days outside, overnight, with nothing being done to it. The problems seem to be compounding. Now, he can,t get it to start. Since Dan doesnt test drive the cars, so he has no clue.Since Dan has not resolved the problem, I have asked the bank to reverse the C.C. charge. 5/23/2020About 4 years ago this shop did a door latch replacement on this van $450.00 which rendered the door impossible to oped for 13 months. We finally found a locksmith to fix it for $60.00!

Hated it! Since they have been under new ownership the place has gone down hill. While waiting for my car to get done, I had to hear one of the guys in the office yell at one of the guys outside, seriously you cant take that into the office...they cant keep mechanics either, I wonder why, horrible place . They messed something up with my tires and cant fix it, came back 3 times for them to fix, last time he asked me not to come back because THEY couldnt figure out what they did wrong...SERIOUSLY

This is a great place to take your car. They may not be the cheapest but I found them to be the most honest. They dont try to sale you things you dont need or fix things that dont need to be fixed. They have not only done this with my car, but my husbands (multiple times), and my fathers. Mike and the guys are great!

This is THE place I take my vehicle. I drive fifteen minutes to come to this specific location over at least three other shops probably within half a mile of my house. Always upfront and honest. These guys are the BEST!! I wont go anywhere else again. They are so patient and kind, they explain everything in detail and they never miss anything! I took my car there and they ran every test imaginable on my (very used but new to me) car, to make sure I was safe. All of their estimates are MUCH more reasonable than any other shops Ive been to, and they often give discounts/coupons/etc. on top of their already great prices. This place is a complete joke! Took my car 4 Different times for them to fix the original problem- out put manifold for The coolant, 1st time did not vacuum the system correctly 2nd time left the radiator cap off, 3rd time overfilled the system! Just be AWARE these are NOT Professionals!!! There is no sort of Expertise anywhere near this Poorly managed establishment. Had to buy the tool and do it myself! I Advice anyone to stay as far away as possible! Be very Cautious of work that may have already been done!Ps, To who it may concern of who may read this post and is responsible for asking me to fill out surveys or to help rectify the situation,Dont! 1st, No employees in the front were wearing masks-they have a sign on the door that says mask required but dont require customers to wear them. 2nd, they are Expensive$$ compared to others shops in the area--go West on Greenback & youll find a better shop. 3d, On the recite under what I got done, it says Courtesy inspection done, but no information on the car was given after, I felt like I was treated with disrespect. And talked to like I was dumb. Probably because I was a female. Heads up ladies. I only went here because my tire had a nail in it and this was the closest shop to the car......

Alright listen. You know how people always complain about how mechanics rip you off? Well not here, about 10 years ago i got screwed over going to those places that promise low costs. This locations owner Mike Palmer came through for me in a huge way. At the time i didnt have a real checking account. I had one of those fly by night, prepaid debit cards. And i needed a rental while Mikes crew fixed my car. At the time yiu couldnt rent a car with a Momentum Card and I was stressing about how to get to work. Mike allowed me to use his croporate account to rent a car. I still had to cover the costs of the rental mind you. But i was able to keep my job since I didnt have to miss any work. Ive never sweated the price of a maintenance job since. Because they ALWAYS do quality work. I dont know how else I can explain it. Theyre not a charity mind you. But they do their job at fair prices and thats all you should ask of them.

Their store hours are 7am-6pm -- I went in at 4:50 pm for a simple oil change and was turned away. Apparently over an HOUR before closing is too much of an inconvenience to take care of a paying customer. I will not be returning and will recommend my family against returning as well; too many businesses offer the same services for them to be so dismissive. Ridiculous.

I gave 4 stars because I made an appointment 4 9 am dropped it off thinking since I made an appointment it would be done in a couple hrs I had to rush them because I had to go to work n they didnt start on it until 1pm. I called at 11 they said they were pulling it in to change oil two hours later not done and I dropped it off at 8am. I was upset then to go in my car my tire pressure light still not off and my oil gage gage was not reset had to have someone come out to reset it. Other than that one bad expierence dont me they all will be I will give u guys one more try next time then after that I will 👍or 👎

They could have done a little better. I entered an appointment online for 7-9am for a Sturday with perhaps 2-3 days notice and received a response to bring my car in anytime during that window. As far as I could tell I was the first one there on Saturday for an oil change and tire rotation but no mechanics were there. I told them I would go get breakfast at Jack in the Box next door, take a walk and come back. 90 minutes later I came back and my car still had not been touched. About an hour later they completed the job. There does not seem to be any benefit to planning ahead and making an appointment - I have had better experiences at other Midas locations.

Im various levels of disappointed in this place. First- I called over a week in advance to make an appointment for 2 vehicles to be done separately as my significant other and I both need varying levels of work done and this was our time window to get that done. When I called I stated exactly what I needed and they told me it was no problem and that I was in the books. Even made it for a Tuesday so as not to battle the weekend rush.I just needed an alignment, and he needed to have something in his suspension looked at and repaired.Day of we arrive just before they opened and were taken in as though we were walk ins, whats worse is they were ridiculously busy so we were left feeling pretty discarded. Whats the point in having an appointment then??The alignment on my pickup took about 2 and a half hours which is fine, but then it took them another 2 hours to even look at the other one. By the time they did the day was half over and they stated that they would be able to complete the work necessary on my spouses vehicle before business close. At the time we at least had my pickup completed so no big deal.The rest of the day goes by, we arrived 5 minutes before 5 (closing time) not having received any updates. They had done his shocks and struts but sent him out without an alignment! They told him how its only off by a bit and so he would be fine, just come back. The downside to that is day of the alignment is $40, as a standalone service its $69.99.I came to midas after having a multitude of bad shop experiences, honestly this adds to it. I dont think we will be back, probably wont return to any midas as a whole.

I was told that my breakline needed replacing and it was going to be costly by a different shop so I decided to bring it to Midas on Greenback. They were very busy but they asked me to bring it the next morning and leave it with them so I did. They called me later that day to informed me that the breakline was fine but was improperly installed so they corrected the issue by replacing a washer and a seal saving me over $70! The manager told me that they are family owned. I will now bring all my business there and have already refered my Parents because I trust their opinion. More people should yelp/Google review when they are happy instead only rating a great company when they are upset. My brother came in here for a oil change on his Chevy the lady diving his truck in wrecked into the lift popping his rear driverside tire there solution was to put on the spare tell the next day when they could get a new tire when he showed up they did replace that one tire leaving his truck looking horrible he would not have had to replace that tire otherwise and still have decent tread on other tires but now have to replace the other three so it all matches and there is an even wear on his other tire I would have at least expected them to replace both the back tires so they would match and maybe comp his oil change but they didnt take ur vehicle somewhere else unless u are willing to take the chance of the employees wrecking ur vehicle

Be careful. I literally caught these guys charging for services they didnt, and subsequently refused to, provide. I paid for a tire rotation and oil change but discovered the tires had not been rotated (even though the documentation indicated that service had been done). Upon pointing this out I got every excuse in the book as to why they didnt rotate them. First my tires were to bald - we inspected them together, they werent bald, so they changed their reason for not rotating to the tires dont need rotated, rotation is at our discretion . I pointed out that I paid for the service and I wanted it done or a refund, and I was told the rotation is a free service and I would not get a refund. More importantly, the business owner threatened to knock my teeth out if I told him this is a crooked way to run his business again.Long story short - I paid for a tire rotation, they gave me paperwork saying they had done a tire rotation, it never got done.How many people do they do this to?????

On 4/25 Saturday morning @ 8am, I took my 2015 Nissan Altima into the location in Fair Oaks, CA on Greenback Lane for an A/C service. I didnt know what was wrong and suggested maybe the AC needed to be recharged. I was reassured in the diagnostic that the problem would be detected. Prior to being called back, i called to check the status and a quote for a tune up. Once the diagnostic was done, Dan the manager called and said the ac needed to be recharged, and that i have the original spark plugs and suggested they be changed. After the supposed service was completed, I was reassured that the shop vent tested the AC and the spark plugs were replaced, it was ready to go. Once in the car, I noticed that the AC was not getting cool as expected. Prior to the issues this season, the AC would be ice cold to the point of being on for several minutes, would cool the interior significantly to where the lowest setting would be enough to maintain the cool temperature inside. That wasnt the case after being serviced at this Midas location. The AC was on a high fan and Max AC setting and not getting cool as it was capable of being, or has historically been. 2 days later, I called Dan about it who said that they vent tested it and it came back fine and to bring it back so they can check it out. I told him that I didnt feel comfortable with bringing it back to him since it wasnt fixed the first time. He said that he has qualified mechanics that do this for a living, and I cut him off saying that they should have been more intentional about seeking out the problem, and not just recharging it. He said bring it in so they can look at it and attempted to fast track the end of this phone exchange with pinpointing a time that day or soon to bring it in at no charge. I dismissed this, not comfortable with anything involving this shop. It also brought into question about whether they replaced the spark plugs on the supposed tune up they also listed on the invoice. I took my car to the Nissan Dealership on Auburn Blvd in Sacramento, CA on May 2nd @ 7:30am, a week to the day of taking my car to Midas, for a 2nd opinion. After I received the diagnostic call from them, they said that the AC compressor was leaking and needed to be replaced, there leaks from hoses that needed to be replaced and it totaled @$1900 dollars. I said that I had taken it to Midas the previous Saturday to check this problem, and the Nissan people said, they didnt look under the car otherwise they would have found the leak. With this revelation, it puts the integrity of Dan and his staff into question. Im now not sure that is shop even changed my spark plugs or did the tuneup required for my car, after charging me $363+ dollars.
