We got a flat outside Elmira in a vehicle that does not come equipped with a spare. Managed to use fix-a-flat and limp our way in to Mavis. They had us set up with new tires and back on the road in under an hour. The employees could not have been any nicer, or more professional. Highly recommended!

I love these people - they are always very nice, they dont recommend unnecessary work, and they do good work. There is a gentleman who is usually at the counter when I go in and he is very down-to-earth about repair work. He understands that we dont all have tons of money to lay out for work that can wait. For example, if my brakes are pretty worn but they will pass inspection, he estimates for me how long I have left before I HAVE to replace them. I appreciate this because then I can plan for the expense. He doesnt try to sell me the most expensive tires. When I say I want a good set of all-seasons, he knows I dont want the cheapest ones but I also dont want to pay more for top-of-the-line. I have also dealt with the assistant manager a couple of times and she is very pleasant. I just brought my car in for the first time since the pandemic started - yes, I have ignored all maintenance for a year - and they were not judgmental about it. The manager said he understood, which made me feel a little less neglectful. Overall, these are good, honest people who wont oversell you.

I had an inspection scheduled for 1:30 with the understanding I would be out the door by 2:30. Upon arrival the man at the counter said no, cant guarantee to be finished by 2:30. I reminded him that condition was clear when I made the appointment. He gave me attitude at that point and I walked out.

I went there To get my tired repair. The guy from the desk was really nice and took my keys. The service was done fast. I recommend

I recently visited the Mavis Store in Elmira,NY to get my vehicle’s brakes worked on. The manager,Ray, contacted me with the information and cost to repair my vehicle and make it ready for inspection. I was very happy with the price as well as the superb Customer service they provided. My vehicle was completed in less time than expected. After calling and talking to the number posted in the reply they have made it right. I will continue my patronage,Thank You.Bs! Had brakes & new rotors done in middle of February, second opinion garage said you pushed the rotor back to far into the plate take it back to you. Another $283 to fix it 🤷‍♀️ lesson learned.Ive been using Mavis, on church the last 4 years, NOT any more.

I had an issue with my car, I always get nervous when I’m not sure what’s wrong and that they will FIND something wrong since I’m a clueless female. The fix ended up being something so simple and I am so happy for their honesty and quick work and the amazing price.

Went for an Oil Change and was very satisfied. Everyone was kind and gave me a good recommendation for lunch at Vincenzos pizza down the street while I waited.

Went in to see if my lug nuts were loose. They said there was no problems at all and I wasted their time. A week later in at Daves having my lug nuts replaced, a whole new rim, new brakes, caliper, and my wheel almost fell off on the way. My 3 toddlers were put in serious danger over something so simple. Avaid at all costs!

Always the best prices. Have been coming for years. They know what is wrong fix it, and keep my car safe for me to drive. Every time I visit it is the same mechanic not a different one like some places. They have a good reputation and they live up to it.

If I could give no stars I would. Was told they could get me in quickly but that was not the case. I showed up to my appointment and was waiting my turn, 2 more cars showed up after me and they started working on their vehicles first. When I asked how long it would take the lady told me it would be 3 hours before they could get to me. I then told her I was there before the other 2 cars that showed up AFTER I did, her response was its just the luck of the draw,its what you get for coming in on a Saturday. Very rude and unprofessional.. would NOT recommend!!

I called ahead to check to see if they were to busy to do an inspection same day, they told me to come on down and theyd get it done. Once I arrived I said I was here for an inspection, the woman at the desk said its going to be at least an hour before they could look at it. I told her I was already here and called ahead, so Im not sure why they wouldnt tell me it was a hour wait before I drove down but it was fine. she continued to ask if I was sure before she took my keys. They ended up getting it in and out in 45mins which is normal but the customer service was seriously lacking at the desk..in a crunch Id recommend taking it elsewhere. 2 stars for Rick being personable on the phone though.

Told me they didnt have the right tool to fix belt .then schedule me to come first thing in am and I get there, guy tells me I need to wait another 2 hours . really.

I took my car to a competitor the day before my appointment at Mavis. I was quoted $2300 at the other place. Brought my car to Mavis they looked at it and quoted me $200. My car was done in an hour. I was happy with my sevices, I will be returning

Kris, the manager, and Mike, the technician, got us back on the road in less than an hour, and made sure we had a tire that most closely fit our needs. Thanks to both these friendly and competent people, a worrisome situation was resolved with the absolute least amount of stress.

Wow! $10 car inspection. Took about 45 minutes and I was able to sneak in a blueberry pancake breakfast at my favorite spot, the Lights bakery & diner! Love that place too!

Had my car towed to mavis because it wasnt starting. Got out of the tow truck w the driver and told the MANAGER at mavis that my car isnt starting, thats all I said. The MANAGER told me that they do t get in to heavy diagnostics and told me to take it somewhere else. When I got back in the tow truck the driver and I were shocked that they wont even look at the car, they didnt even try. I came to mavis really needing help, and I was denied. So mavis doesnt work on cars that wont start. Just think everyone should know
