Honest with a sincere heart! They are a blessing.My boyfriend and I must have hit something and had a wire and it’s case hanging at the bottom of the car. They were busy with other cars and were about to hit lunch in 10 minutes but we told them that we had a long drive into the city and worried that the cable can pull out. They understood our concern and gladly took the time to put the car up in the lift to see what it was. They made a quick fix. Amazing honest And caring mechanics. We are truly thankful!

My son had a flat tire on his bike, we went there & they put air in his tire.Thank you monro.

Waited nearly 2 hours for an oil change which initially didnt really bother me. They didnt put a little air in a tire thats soft because of the weather changing even though they checked the box saying they inspected that, didnt put a sticker on the windshield for the next one, didnt note mileage on the receipt, and didnt even shut off the maintenance light saying it needed an oil change. I wouldnt believe they changed the oil at all if I didnt see it throught the window.

Clean restrooms! Friendly manager. Very busy little shop, seems a bit under staffed. Needed a couple more techs to do the work of turning wrenches!!

SHAME ON YOU MONROE MUFFLER! I took my vehicle to Monroe to be inspected. They told me that the brake pads were gritty and failed the inspection and it would cost me $400 to repair and pass inspection. I told them i would take my car elsewhere and the counter manager told me i had no reason to be bitter. I immediately took my vehicle to another mechanic who said there was nothing wrong with my car and Monroe was just trying to scam me. I will be fining a complaint with The DMV regarding this. I urge anyone who has also been treated like this to do this also so that businesses like this can no longer try to prey on their customers. SHAME ON YOU MONROE!

Doesnt really deserve One Star. Stopped by to have some air added to my tires. My Tire Pressure light was on. I have done this before and never had a problem. Was rudely informed that there was one car ahead of mine. It was cold out and he wasnt going to open a Bay Door just for me. That I could drive across the bridge to Quick Fill and use their air pump. Lost a customer. You are close to my house and convenient for oil changes, etc...What a A$$!

A truly great shop. I was doped off here on a flatbed around midday on a Sunday with a failed front wheel bearing on a 2003 Dodge RAM 3500 Diesel. Bobby Smith found a suitable bearing and Cody Harris had it installed in less that an hour. Supper friendly and efficient people. I would have been impressed mid-week but on a Sunday it was more than impressive. And the final bill was more than acceptable. All shops should be like this. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I am new to New York and I was lucky to have discovered Monros in Elmira. The crew that works there are professional and extremly courteous. Dave always welcomes you but whats really nice is that In such a short period of time he already greets me by name and knows who I am when I come in and he makes me feel welcome and appreciated. This Monros lets you know what you need done and their prices are great and their service is thorough and fast. So bottom line is I feel at home with this business already and I just started bringing my Jeep Renegade here. I am not a number here... I am an appreciated customer. If you need anything done on your ride bring it here.

I went in with my Chevy Malibu. The mechanics and service my Husband and I receive here is beyond awesome. Bobby was my first contact and he not only helped me figure out exactly what was wrong with my car, but gave me a reasonable quote. I later dealt with Dave who showed me that the customer service here is top notch on all levels. THANK YOU GUYS!!!

Ive been going to this Monro location for years, but the new management team is atrocious. Just today, I stopped to see if they had time for an inspection. When I walked in, the desk attendant wouldnt even make eye contact. He asked in a very unfriendly way if I wanted Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Mind you there were 3 empty bays and 3 mechanics standing in the bays entertaining themselves with some subject not related to work. My response was no, thank you. 30 minutes later, my inspection was completed by Mavis. I am baffled by the fact that a business would turn down a quick job when resources were immediately available. No, thank you Monro, thank you Mavis.

Came to get my car inspected. Needed to have a bulb changed. They said it was really difficult to get to. They changed the wrong one and had to do it again. Left with two giant cracks by my headlight. David tried to convince me that someone must have hit my car. It was NOT like that before my appointment.

The gentleman Dave at the store in Elmira was so amazing. He helped me out in a pinch!! The service is implacable. I will never go anywhere else again!!

Incredibly friendly and helpful, took me into the shop to explain exactly what they were doing and even explained what to keep an eye on for the future! Great customer service and got me right in and fixed...will definitely be back for any future needs!

Very pleasant experience. Only thing I found wrong was a hose hanging off my rear axle the next day.Within 10 days my alignment had gone out of whack. I had gotten an alignment done that day. Its unfortunate, but having it done then it immediately failing is quite a problem. I had wanted to get new tires that day too, but decided that since i had so much work done... id better wait and see how it holds up. Back breaks and rotors were fine. Alignment was terrible... only got worse over time. I asked them to see if I might need to fix anything on the front end. They said no. The hose hanging down was near the back breaks/axel.

Fast, friendly and competent. Did exactly what they said they were going to do and it cost what they said it would. Very pleased.

Took our van in for an alignment and it was returned exactly as it had been. They didnt change a thing! Wont be going there again. 🙄 Update: the alignment is perfect, but it needs two new tires, wish they told me this the first time.

Ron was extremely professional. My girlfriend’s car was experiencing issues that we were unsure of. We made an appointment at Monroe and Ron gave us a free estimate, checking out every possible issue the car could have been facing, and sent us home with no bill, as the car was fine and did not need work.I would reccomend anyone to this business.

Fast, friendly and inexpensive service. Would have been a 5 star review. BUT...They left the inside of the car a mess. Greasy fingerprints on window, windshield, and pillar. Greasy footprints all over my new, not-cheap floor mats. Turned a 5 star review into 3 stars.

I went to this shop near closing time in a pinch because my car battery died and I needed it replaced so I could drive to work the next day. They charged me $350+ to replace my battery, saying that my battery was more than $300. I asked them for the receipt and they gave me the name and type of the battery (Platinum H6AGM). I looked it up and the battery runs around $200 at most. Yikes! There is a difference between making a profit and taking advantage of people. Do not go here if you have a choice.

Took my mercedes there expecting high price estimate.... they found the problem, fixed it, offered a friendly discount and later when i checked with the dealerships the price was identical.. very nice people and hard working! will do business again

Would not recommend. They wanted to do repairs on my car that were not needed what so ever. Racked up the prices and told me that there was something wrong with it when it was just the fans unplugged. Customer service was unprofessional. The guy that I spoke with was very rude. Will not be doing business with these guys!!

Always used this place for its convenience and service but today Im sitting at a garage in Troy, NY getting my front brake pads and calipers replaced I just had the front pads replaced at Monroe on 5/22/18 and the pads are locked and not in good shape. Not liking an emergency stop on vacation.

Went in for a inspection. They found something that was broke and overlooked the previous 6 years. they wanted to change other parts that were ok for now. i told them i would do those and just fix the one part. I got a rediculous price and was so disgusted i left. Later i found they tightened my lug nuts so tight i dont know how im gunna get them off. Dont go here unless everywhere else is closed
