It’s a great ice cream shop

Brain Freeze devotes half its menu to non-dairy items, which is amazing when most places have one or two non-dairy options (if any). Great flavors too. Unfortunately, the place is a little understaffed at peak hours, so making your selection without frustrating the people waiting in line behind can be hard. Also, they run out of the best flavors too quickly. Its great for date night when the choices are slim, but well probably never be regular customers.

Brain Freeze is easily my favorite ice cream shop in Elmhurst. The allergen-free options are great for those who dont get to treat themselves out to ice cream very often. The environment is playful and the staff is friendly. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Good selection of ice creams. I like the Tennessee toffee, blueberry muffin . Usually Junior size is sufficient for two people, at least in my house

They had three types of vegan ice cream, and I was almost tempted to try the Chicago pothole ice cream (not vegan) because of the fun name (and chocolaty-ness...The decor is best described as kawaii monster and the shop is inviting. It is true that the walls could use a (gentle) scrub down, as many places do, but it certainly didnt come across as dirty.It was a pleasant surprise after visiting local museums.

Great local ice cream shop with lots of variety (more than just ice cream!) Nice owners and right in downtown Elmhurst. Highly recommended!

So good! Classic, real ice cream in a ton of flavors. Kilwanis is good in Elmhurst too but EXTREMELY rich after two bites. We prefer here. Friendly staff too.

I go all the time. Its by far my favorite ice cream shop in Elmhurst. It has unique flavors that you wont find at cold stone and its cheap!

Quite a selection of flavors, and not just confined to ice cream. Also offer candy, and cool promotional dolls. Artwork is also very interesting

The peppermint milk shake with chocolate chips taste EXACTLY like the one they sell at Chick-fil-a only bigger and cheaper. Would recommend

They had a good variety of flavors and I enjoyed the ice cream here. On top of that, the prices are low. I had a good experience here!

Decent ice cream, but the place needs a facelift. Its has a depressing feel inside, is poorly lit, and not as clean as one would like.
