We had an excellent experience with Granite Selection. We used them for our kitchen counter and all our bathroom vanity counters, as well as shelves in our shower and bathtub. They were very helpful and friendly when we went to the showroom to look at slabs, and once we decided to go with them they were incredibly accommodating. We needed some small pieces cut very quickly for the shower and bathtub, and they were able to get them to us within a matter of days. Their employees were so nice and communicative. Our countertops are absolutely gorgeous, and the customer service we experienced was incredible. We also thought the price was very reasonable. Very highly recommended.

Overall, our finished kitchen granite countertops look really good. They were a reasonable price. However, customer service is definitely lacking. The morning our counters were supposed to be installed, Granite Selection called and cancelled; they ultimately blamed the crane company they used (saying different things like the crane would not fit through our back balcony or the crane was broken, but it ultimately seems like they forgot they needed a crane permit in Chicago). They refused to come out for another 4 days which meant I was without a kitchen as I already had to take out my faucet and kitchen sink. I then placed an angry review and Granite Selection called and threatened me if I did not take it down.

We bought both Granite and Quartz for a re-do of our rental property that we are getting ready to sell. Working with Milan was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. Granite Selection has beautiful high quality materials to choose from. We checked out several granite stores in the area and came back to Granite Selection for both their quality and price.

We had been to 4 granite warehouses searching for granite for our bathroom and credenza. The first granite that I picked was not right and MiLan had us come back in and he started helping us again. I brought the stone for the floor and that helped him figure out what we needed. He found the absolutely perfect stone. Then the nicest granite cutter foreman took pictures of our templets and started showing us what the best layout would be. He also had to make special cuts in the back of the backsplash because of the faucets. He did everything perfect, the granite fits exactly as my husband wanted . We are so very pleased with both the granite and the kind, helpful men that dealt with us several times to get us the perfect bathroom. Thank you both. Launa J

I had a very positive experience, we needed quartz for our new kitchen and bathrooms and had a specific color already picked out. I was on a tight timeline so I pre-bought the slab so they came to measure Thursday and installed Monday. I even forgot to ask them to drill out something and they came back for a small fee to redo the work. The communication was great and the process was easy

Extremely poor installation. We bought their granite countertops and for our kitchen, and we agreed that all countertops will be whole slabs, with the main having an undermount sink. However, when they came to install the prices the main piece was separated into two separate pieces by the sink cutout, with clear disjointed corners with a visible seam, and a dent. So we decided to call talk about this since the deal was to install a full piece. They told us that they will be giving us a discount because they had made an error. But the day after the installation, we called them to further talk about the discount but they went completely silent on us. We tried calling the bank but the money had already been through weeks prior. The bank told us we the only way would be to file a case against them. Furthermore, they promised that they will be doing some of the plumbing (because we also got an undermount sink from them) and they left sink with the plumbing. Please save yourself time and potentially even a large amount of money.

I’m so happy with my new granite countertop. I chose my granite at the warehouse and maybe a week and a half it was already installed. Beautiful granite, beautiful counter. I’m completely Satisfied.

We are purchasing our second countertop from them and are very happy with the service. They have a decent selection of remnants on site and you should be able to find most colors you are looking for. Pro tip: if you are there to look at remnants and have an idea of what you are looking for just head straight to the yard in the back of the building, no need to wait for the very busy staff to direct you there.The owner is the kind of guy who is very involved in the day to day work and selecting how to cut the countertop. Prices are competitive. Yes, some on the install crew might not speak English very well, but they do speak Granite and they were clean, quick, and respectful of my home which is what matters.

BUYER BEWARE! VERY DISHONEST! MISSMATCHED GRAIN THEIR MISTAKE COST ME $1000! $900 granite job cost over 2k because of their lies and mistakes. They Told me many lies. I paid for 60-40 sink but they cut the slab for 50-50 sink and tried to claim it was my choice. I had to choose between waiting weeks during holidays for total granite refab or stick with the ugly sink which is deeper and required the drain to be lowered by breaking the wall on the newly redone bathroom, cutting the drain costing extra $. They put a piece with wrong grain and sent a installer to replace it but he broke the porcelain tile by dropping the heavy granite piece. Had to pay extra to have that repaired. i couldve paid 900 for contractor with sink. i hired them to avoid the very problems they caused me.

I figured after 5 months with granite time to review and share.After going to 5 different shops to get a feel for granite I chose GS I liked the large selection and the access to MSI stone to see more granite than the eyes could take. I also felt that my small 46 square foot job was just as important to GS as a large job unlike the granite shop in barrington that blew me off and I had to call repeatedly to get my quote that wasnt even what I wanted. There was good communication and no hidden charges and their pricing was the best here. They were the only shop that would do my small L shaped desk in 1 piece instead of 2 but I did make that my #1 emphasis. They also had no problem using the new 16 ga kohler strive sink I provided and had the template programmed in their machine already, I just gave them the model #. I recommend a thick 16 gauge commercial grade stainless sink dont get a 20 gu thin sink sounds tinny and that was #1 issue I learned from friends that got granite. They measured cabinets and installed quickly. It was like 8 days from initial selection to installation. My experience was great. If you want to cut your costs and get great granite use them. They are not going hold your hand and choose for you like a high paid kitchen designer will. They will leave you alone and let you take your time selecting and and only spoke when I asked questions, very eastern european. They were timely in all correspondence and appt. I do recommend that you go there during the day on a weekday because weekends they are busy with many browsers. We had the whole warehouse to ourselves on a Friday afternoon and my wife was very impressed when she asked if she could have a sample . We went behind warehouse and salesman broke a piece off a remnant with a hammer for her to take. Not fancy but a real nice gesture.

They are great!!! they did a great job on the install. the seams were almost invisible and they chose a great spot in the middle of the sink. After the install i noticed a small spot by the sink that looked like Epoxy as it was rough. I planned to call to ask how to remove it, but the mark was small and i forgot. finally i got around to reaching out 5 months later, they were extremely helpful on the best way to clean it. when i went to clean it i noticed it was not epoxy it was actually gouged a bit.I let them know that, but given I waited 5 months i didnt expect them to do anything about it as that is on me for waiting, but wanted to know my options. I talked to Tijana. she said she would send someone out to take a look and they would take a look. I dont know what they will say when they get here or if its fixable, but i can tell you from a customer service and response standpoint they have been incredible.99% of companies would have just said its been 5 months and its not there problem. she jumped right on it.

Found a 1 of a kind remnant. Asked about reserving and if a deposit was needed but told it wasnt. When we called to set up a measurement they ignored us until we finally showed up there. Found out they had sold it. Couldnt have called us at any time.Keep a close eye on your project because they have an issue with communication and dont mind selling it to the next person.

Quick quotation that was on the lower end of what I received from various fabricators. Went with them due to a gorgeous slab we saw and the positive reviews. First time buying granite countertops, but the process was straightforward and quick (7 days from deposit to installation). Whoever did the slab layout did a great job and the various segments/backsplash blends perfectly. Installers arrived as scheduled and knocked out the install in ~2 hours. Very professional and everything looks fantastic. Overall a very good experience.

Love my new bathroom counter tops. The granite is so beautiful and installation was so fast. I love that they sent me an electronic drawing of layout of the counter top so I saw exactly where they would cut. I asked that I see more black in the Colonial White granite so they changed the layout and it was perfect. You pay only what you use and not for whole slap, which saves a lot of money. I am now under budget. YAY!

Ive hired Granite Selection to install granite for our kitchen. Our project was about 50 sq feet and the price of my project was getting pretty expansive. Paul has suggested me to select a special stone from their selection which was about 1/3 cheaper than the original granite that Ive selected. The color was extremely similar and now I dont even see any difference. The installation went very smoothly and took about 2 hours from start to finish. Their installation crew did a real nice job and recommended some cabinet upgrades that can be made to my kitchen.

They advertise big sale on remnants [sic] so I thought this would a good place to look for a piece to use as a vanity top. The woman who helped me was very knowledgeable, patient, professional and nice. I have been looking for a specific color family and she helped me find a piece that would have worked beautifully. Sadly, when the job was priced, it was the highest price of the five places I shopped. The vanity top would have come to $104 per square foot, pre-tax and not including the sink (which was reasonably priced). They must do good work, and have plenty of it because remnants seem to be priced at straight retail.

Im not sure where the negative reviews come from... This place was great! We happened to find them while looking at a supplier that Home Depot sent us to. Their prices were fantastic, their service was great, and the new marble counter tops look amazing. They allowed us to choose a slab from a local supplier, and purchased it immediately. The measurements were done precisely, and they worked with us on the layout to ensure that we were happy. This was one of the smoothest parts of our kitchen remodel. I would definitely use them in the future, and have already recommended others.

Good prices, but you get what you pay for. Rounded edges were requested and paid for, but square edges were installed. Manager ignores calls. Stay away unless you want to settle for poor customer service.

They were well priced, but had a terrible experience. Purchased a sink, vanity top and counter top with an additional trim piece as an add on. Pick up was bumped on my original order and trim piece was not ready with the rest of the order. It’s been 3 weeks and I still don’t have the last piece because, ”it’s a small piece and they had bigger projects to get out”. Who tells that to a paying customer? Called several times per week and stopped in at least a half-dozen times, here to pick it up now after being promised, yet again, that it would be ready yesterday. Sat around for 20 minutes only to be told that it’s not ready and again, they have bigger jobs to worry about. Plenty of stone shops in this area, will go elsewhere next time.
