I was traveling home to Northern Indiana from Arkansas and my tire blew 25 miles south of Effingham. After sitting on the highway for 2.5 hours waiting for a tow truck to get freed up..I had my truck towed to this Walmart and as soon as they opened the next day, Patty took all the info from me and she along with Larry and Ken looked up the tires I needed and got me in and out with 4 new tires in no time. All 3 were so nice and personable, it made me forget about the trouble from the last 15 hours. This Walmart is very lucky to have these 3 employed with them. Thank you to all 3 again and I hope your managers read this and acknowledge you in some sort of way.

Took care of everything I needed had a tire needing repaired they got me n 5 min before they closed shop for the day fixed my issue in my tire found another hole that was leaking and got me in and out in less them 10 mins of repairing my tire

You get what you pay for at this auto care center. I had my oil changed here at 7am on a Saturday morning while I did my weekly shopping. I was waited on by the department manager who was not rude but provided minimal customer service (took my info and keys, nothing else). I had to go and check to see if my car was ready as I was not paged. After I had already left, I looked at my receipt and noticed they had put an extra quart of oil in my car. It had been overfilled by a quart per my owners manual. If the carpet was vacuumed and windshield washed, I couldnt tell a difference. As it was fairly dirty, I would be able to tell the difference if it was done. It makes me wonder if the technician even checked my other fluids and if my oil was even changed properly. Sub par service at best. I wont be returning to any Walmart Auto Care Center and will, instead, return to my regular service center.

Tried charging me for a new battery.... I test autoshops like this to see if they are true to word, told them my battery died (I just bought this battery yesterday) and they said it was bad and tried charging me 97 dollars for it, then they tried saying my serpentine belt was bad! Bought a new serpentine belt 3 weeks ago, when I told them to put my old battery back they put an old different battery in! (I took a picture and had the serial number, receipt for my old battery, they kept saying it was mine but it wasnt, do not go here,

The service man took care of our issue and we got to browse store while they put a new battery on our car. The old one was stuck so i am glad i didnt have to struggle with it. Installation included because i bought it from walmart, 10.00 off sale too.

They are slow

I wanted to have my tires rotated. I watch them pull my vehicle into the bay. I was told it would be about an hour and a half. I sat there for an hour and a half and when I got up my vehicle is no longer in the bay. No one came in to tell me it was done, so when I went to the desk and I asked them no one knew anything about it. Apparently I needed new tires, which I would’ve bought there had I not sat for an hour and a half. When ask why I wasn’t notified, I was told sorry I didn’t know about it. However the whole time the individual who was working the desk was talking to people he knew and not paying attention to his job. I own three vehicles, all of which we have tires we purchased at Walmart. This will not be the case in the future, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Customer service is much more important to me than the price that I will pay. I took my truck elsewhere, purchased for tires and spent less time waiting for it to be completed when I did the previous day sitting in the Walmart waiting area in there automotive department. I do not recommend going to the Effingham Walmart for work to be done on your vehicle.Not only did this turned me off from that particular store, but all of Walmart. Not a fan of the company in general and do all I can to avoid going there if possible.

We were traveling on I-70 when we blew a tire on our camper. I called ahead and spoke with Wesley. He saved a tire for us that we could use as a spare. They quickly mounted it for us and we were on our way back to NY.

Took my car in to get the tire repaired and an oil change. There was a screw in the middle of the tread (nowhere near the side wall or anything), so it was a pretty basic repair. After an hour and a half we went to check on it and they had just begun the oil change. We were told the repair wouldn’t take much longer after the oil change. Another half hour had passed and we hadn’t heard anything. We went back and were told they couldn’t repair it and they wanted to put a new tire on. Absolutely not. It’s the easiest repair in the book. If you can’t repair that, what CAN you repair? So we essentially waited two hours for an oil change. Will never go back for anything.

Really dont know how the auto service was. Bought and scheduled an appointment to have my tires put on, only to be told they dont have anyone to do it.

Wife had a flat tire in the parking lot. They drove my car into the shop and destroyed my rim. They can order new rims however nobody knew how to do it. So I had to go purchase my own rim and bring it to them. Yes they compensated me for the rim but its the point of them destroying my rim.

I ordered my tires online to save money. I waited for my email confirmation that my order was in. I called in advance to seek an appointment. They dont do appointments. I was told to expect an hour to do all four tires and to not come an hour before they close. I work retail. I understand. so I bring my car to them, have them pull up my info vizzave my phone. I hand over the keys and go on my merry way. There are no cars in the bays (yes, two bays) designated for tires. An hour later, I havent heard anything. I make my way back there, to ask for an update. They havent even begun. Finally, two and half hours later, they have replaced my four tires. Ive been sitting in the waiting room. I had to ask again about my car. Oh yes, we have your vehicle ready. Heres your paperwork. Why didnt someone say something? Why didnt someone acknowledge that it was finished? Why do they want me to sit there, becoming agitated at the length of time they are using to replace four tires? Was there a problem? No. Was there a need for a specialist or a certain tool? No. Had all that was necessary. But everytime I looked into the garage, the mechanics were huddled around laughing and talking. Not working. I had only one previous experience with them before and it took them two hours to replace a battery. I thought it couldnt always be that bad but I was wrong. They are definitely paid by the hour. I will not be returning.

It is wal-mart... never enough check outs open, and I hate self check outs.

Took a very long time to get my car back had lots of staff on duty but they were all not working to get customers cars out and there were several complaints about service well i was there waiting.

4 hours waiting for a tire change. It started out as 1 1/2 hours, then kept going.. this is the worst place to get tires or oil done. Im from out of state and had a blow out on the expressway, now my trip is 4 hours longer. STAY AWAY, go to a real tire place, that was my mistake to begin with.

Waited 3 hours....and counting to get two tires put on.No one has even bothered speaking to us at any point. Its not busy or anything. Will never come here again

VERY SLOW ! Took 2 hours for them just to say they were not able to put a tire stem on a still good half life tire that they said is bald. Then they just wanted to sell a set of new junk tires to us . Terrible ! No one should go there for auto.

Service was not what it should have been. Wasnt paged when vehicles were done. No one told us anything about our vehicles, WE DID ALL THE QUESTIONS & WE GOT... I DIDNT WORK ON IT, WE GOT SLAMMED, I HAVE TO ASK WHO DID, YET THAT PERSON COULDNT ANSWER SIMPLE QUESTIONS ASKED!!!

Never expect to have a vehicle finished in a timely manner.

We had a blow out on our 5th wheel Saturday and was looking to replace all 4 tires. I called this place and was put on hold for over 7 minutes. Then hung up on when I told them what I was needing. Giving them the benefit of doubt I called back and hung up on 2 more times. Thats OK I took my business to another place in town.

Do not go there they were very slow turtle speed he sat there for one hour doing nothing

Took them two hours to put a brand new set of tires on a brand new set of rims, most of the staff just stood around and talked the whole time. The slowest shop I’ve ever seen..
