Customer Service at its finest.We ordered a A.R.E. Cap for our truck in August, and because of all the problems associated this year the delivery time was going to be 8-10 weeks. The cap arrived within the specified time, but did not fit correctly. Kevin, the owner, was on the phone with manufacturer immediately and it was decided that the manufacturer would take the cap back and rework it. The cap was back in less than two weeks but still did not fit. Kevin was immediately on the phone again with the manufacturer and in a matter of less than 3 weeks had a new cap here. We found Truck Outfitters very pleasurable to work with, and always had our best interests in mind. They stand behind what they sell, and provide some of the best customer service we have received in years. I would highly recommend them. Thank you for all your help.

According to my receipt, I was just helped by Kevin. He was kind of rude from the beginning (because I wore a mask? I didn’t say anything about him not wearing one, by the way). I have an old truck with a busted key, my fault, but you’d think that when he broke the key in half and had to tape it together to start the truck he would have at least apologized, or warmed up a bit when I was very understanding about that. Instead he drove off to replace the lock and two gas props in my truck topper. I ran after him bc he never gave me a price. He said it would be $100—sounds fine. Maybe ten minutes later he is finished and then charges me $135. I tell him that’s not the price we agreed on, and he tells me that he messed up his mental math. I point out that there is a $30 labor charge, which seems high for ten minutes of work, then he just gives me the awkward silence/eye contact avoidance treatment before repeating the price. I pay $135 to be done with this, wishing I had just waited to get back to Atlanta and do the job myself for a fraction of the cost and none of the frustration.

If your in NC come here customer satisfaction they will give you detail about what going on about while there adding you’re accessories I’m coming back for 6 or 8 inch lift an a grill.

We had an outstanding experience with Truck Outfitters of Durham. We wanted a high quality tonneau cover for our Toyota Tundra. We were met by a very pleasant sales person (owner) who showed us what was available and the advantages or disadvantages of each. We selected one, and it was delivered from the warehouse the next morning. We made a next-day appointment for installation. We dropped off the pickup and the job was completed within just a few hours. The owner and installer carefully demonstrated to us how to operate the fold-up cover. At all times, the owner and installer were friendly and very professional. We are very satisfied with the suggested selection.Finally, just for justice, we would like to point out that an earlier negative Google review that someone submitted must have been written by a person who misidentified the shop. Our experience could not have been better.

Had to go here for a work vehicle. Staff seems to know their stuff, showroom is small and sparsely stocked but overall, a good place for your truck toys.

These guys are thugs and will cheat you any chance they get. Take my word for it not worth your time - unprofessional and rude

When the locking bars on my ARE hard tonneau cover became disengaged from the opening lever I could not open it. Truck outfitters knew just what to do and had me ready in 15 minutes. 👍
