I came in specifically to get help with my battery and ended up with over $500 of damage done to my car by an employee that the general manager refused to take accountability for. First, after testing my battery and seeing that it was fine the employee tried to sell me another battery and when I asked what would happen if it didnt fix the problem he said they would help me out. I asked what that meant and he said they would jump me to get me to a mechanic. First red flag.I decide not to get the battery because I dont want to throw $170 down the drain. At some point the employee broke off the bolt that holds the battery in place and while I was inside getting a refund, replaced the bolts (see photo) but didnt trim the bolt which was obviously too long to fit under the hood. He didnt bother to tell me this and let me leave.It wasnt until I got home that I noticed that the bolt had punctured my hood and left a dent (see photo). I called the store and the employee said get an estimate for the damage and well figure it out. I did so and the body shop gave me and estimate for over $500. I called the employee who told me to call his personal number for some reason, and he said he would talk to his manager. I call corporate in the meantime and they say they cant do anything to help me. The employee calls back 2 days later and says all that theyll do is tell me theyll reprimand him and wont cover the damage because I didnt buy anything.I get that this was an accident but when a company that Im sure has means to cover this sort of damage inflicted on my property and doesnt take accountability. it is completely unjust and I would warn against supporting this business because they obviously dont uphold any standard for integrity or customer satisfaction.

Stopped in for refrigerant for the A/C in my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Dale was nice enough not just to show me where to connect the bottle, but went ahead and did it for me.I have shopped many times over the years at this particular branch of AAP, and have ALWAYS received excellent customer service!Great job, guys!

Had a car battery on the verge of dying, and they confirmed it was in stock by phone and installed it for me in minutes. The salesperson and installer were quick, polite, and informative. Will definitely go back again for my automotive needs.

Online prices comparable to AutoZone & Rock Auto plus a 20% discount on most items for pickup.But be careful when entering store.Most employees inside & out do not wear masks. They also let customers enter without masks .This should be a non issue in North Carolina and in Durham; where Masks have been required in Public by law since April 2020.

Called in to see if they had the part in stock, they told me they did have the part. I drove by and within 5 minutes of walking into the store I was leaving with the correct part. Excellent service and friendly staff!

My car was acting funny, and I went to this auto parts store to have the battery and alternator tested. The sales rep was very helpful. He tried to help me diagnose the issue as best as we could with limited time. He did not try to sell me anything I didnt need. When the tests results came back healthy, he gave me a couple of suggestions to follow up with a mechanic. Positive experience with friendly staff.

Always have an excellent selection of parts available in store. Have found most everything I need for all my vehicles without having to order things online.Service at this location is also great. My suv desperately needed a battery so I went to this auto parts store. Mr. Molyneux was extremely resourceful. He patiently assisted me in getting the most reliable battery compatible to my vehicle. Initially I assumed it was also the Alternator but after his diagnose, it was only the battery. Although I insisted on maybe needing an Alternator, he did not try to sell me anything I did not need. Once the results confirmed only a battery, he installed my battery efficiently and even offered me a couple of suggestions to follow up with the Dealership to get the correct bolt. This was one of the best experiences of an exceptional level of customer experience I have encountered in a long while. Thank you very much. Your services were amazingly awesome. I greatly appreciate it!

Website said they had the battery I wanted. They claimed to not have the battery I saw on their site and tried to upsell me on a different battery. Luckily I wasnt in a bind and was able to drive to another Advance auto parts store to get the battery I needed. They also tried the same BS and then eventually brought out the correct battery.

Had the part we needed, and one of the workers reminded us that my particular car has two different engine configurations, so we got the correct belt. Then when we didnt have the right tool, they loaned us the tool to take home and make the fix. Service was a little chaotic, but everyone there was pleasant.

The people in there helped me and gave me advise. The service felt a bit rushed, but enthusiastic (not monotone or pissed). The person that attended me was patient and helpful. I received a 25% off coupon from email ad. I needed a car battery, so purchased online and went in an hour so later,..Walked up to the counter and told them of my purchase.I hear a booming voice from behind stacks of auto parts..Is that David Miller?! Oh, geese, I already have a reputation?( a location joke )In any event young guy named Malcom replaced my battery. He even plugged in auxiliary battery so I wouldnt have to reset my radio etc. Saved nearly $40.00 with this one coupon,Also, needed some advice for some brighter backup lights, as I do a lot of camping, and hate to run over those pesky cyclists.Drake was very knowledgeable and came out to my Sienna to show me how to access the bulbs, and what order to remove the cover panel etc. Great guy, but not as great as Malcolm. (hell tell you too) lol.All in all ....a very good experience !!. : ^ )( Now, if they just served coffee and donuts ...)

I had the most unhelpful visit to this store this morning. I am looking for $3 fender clip to reset my bumper in place. When I inquired at the front desk, he told me I needed to go pull another clip off of my bumper to match it. I asked first if he could look up the part in his system. He couldn’t do that. I asked if he could step outside and look at my car, he said he wasn’t allowed to do that either. Then he showed me to a rack of fender clips and left me to find the clips myself. Atrocious customer service. Won’t stop here again.
