Went and looked at Lowes for a trailer hitch, but they were out. Came here and a very nice employee led us right to where they were. Home Depot was fully stocked in all shapes and sizes. Very clean inside. Used self check out, a nice lady helped us and it was fast.
Everything in one place for my home. Got some boards cut at no charge to make a shelf and screws. Exact same replacement florescent bulb and PVC pipe fittings to make my new umbrella pole fit snug in the stand. (Ordered somewhere else). Play sand to fill my stand for added weight. Plants for the bench too!
If your a DYIer you will LOVE THD. You can find the materials and get great advice from the friendly workers. Always providing you with World class customer service.I went in for a job interview, I have previous experience. However the manager told me that they could not work with my schedule and than turned around and suggested a vendor that works in the THD could use my great salesmanship and great customer service.I left saying WOW, signs posted everywhere suggesting they needed help, but yet denied me a position.
Excellent customer service! I had 3 online orders to pick up. Two of them were in the back (large items), and the associate retrieved them and loaded them in my car. Very pleasant and professional staff.

Just sharing that I had a top-notch customer service experience having black pipe cut and threaded. Over 10 pieces cut and threaded with thread confirmations with a flange as well. Went to HD on a fluke. Will go back more frequently now.

Despite a local mandate, many shoppers here do not wear masks. Employees act sympathetic, but shrug their shoulders and say theres nothing they can do. I will not return to this store until the COVID crisis is past, and I recommend that anyone who wants to stay safe by following good public health practices do the same.
I recently placed an online order for pick-up and notified the store when I got there. I had to wait almost 15 mins before the employee came out with my order. She did not smile or greet me when placing the item in the car. I had to speak to her first. I understand retail and it gets pretty hectic for the employees when customers do not appreciate them. I would still most definitely continue to shop there.
Went to North Pointe Home Depot looking to replace a mower. Im tired of needing to work on my current mower every time I want to cut the grass. Couldnt find help in the mower section ( the whole store was busy and it IS that time of year ). The greeter tried to raise help on the store P.A. system, but when No one showed, he took care of me. I had his name on a wrap of paper that somehow vanished between going in & out of the store, and walking back to the truck. The young woman at the service desk was also quite helpful (Janie *I think*)and made the process easy & smooth. Thank you for the assistance and for doing a good job. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was the individual handling the mower section never did show up as far as I know. But, it gave me the opportunity to deal with the lady and gentleman who performed better than I expected. Kudos. Please add bonuses to their pay checks, Home Depot. Theyre making you look good.
Wes is amazing help!! He hand cut some crown molding for me to save me from buying a 12 pack I didn’t need. I didn’t even have to ask him. I forever shop at Home Depot just because of him!
I am writing to thank the attention of N. Point Durham Home Depot Store and cashier Briggitte this day 02/18 (6-7 PM). She was an extraordinary professional. She helped us at all times with extreme patience. We removed 2 large boxes (2 cabinets) and she took care of the entire removal process, even staying in the parking lot to help us. Later, as the boxes did not fit in the vehicle, she helped us to rent a truck for transportation to our residence. She was so kind, so patient and respectful in every moment that we felt protected and privileged. Thank you so much Home Depot for having professionals so dedicated to the job.

Hispanics feel racially discriminated at this store all the time. Even if we have receipts and buy their own “Home Depot Warranty” they refused to honor it. Tried to file a formal complaint with “Sherry” the manager and claims not to have ANY documents to do so.. this is my 3rd time I had to deal with this issue at this store only and We have many stories from the Latino Community that this store always shows a lack of empathy and respect.

We went here last night to purchase a gazebo that we have been trying to purchase for a while but kept having issues with availability at other locations. We have even tried to purchase the gazebo in advanced at other locations and when we came to the pickup date, they would tell us they dont have them.So we decided to come to this location because we saw they had some available.We were helped by Marlow, he made such an effort to locate these gazebos that were actually still on the truck. We really just appreciated his effort to actually look into why we werent able to find these gazebos on the floor. So thank you again :)
I ordered something online from Home Depot and was going to pick it up. When I received information that the item was ready for pickup, I parked in one of the spaces designated for pickup then followed instructions on contacting the store.An associate was out with it within five minutes.I will use this method the next time that I know exactly what Im looking for to make pickup easy for me.

I asked an associate for a manager to help with some damaged lumber, the associate told me a discount, then told me to pull out all the damaged ones I wanted and told the cashier to tell her to expect me. When I went to the cash register, she asked a manager to sign off on the discount, that manager called another manager. This guy looked at the stack on the cart, said he would discount three and not the rest, he didnt even look through the stack at each one. I explained that I asked for a manager(but I guess he was too busy playing on the forklift to help) so I loaded a cart full of lumber by myself for over an hour, and at the final checkout he gives me a different story than the associate. I also had almost a thousand dollars in other lumber at full price on the cart. I have never had a good experience in this store, I will be sure to drive past it to another from now on.
My ex father in law works at this particular store so it makes extra store for us but in general the staff is what makes the one of the greatest Home Depots in Durham. Everyone is quick to assist or help customer and if not in their expertise, they a find someone quickly to assist. Store is organized, clean, orderly, and always well stocked but if they dont have in they more than willing to get, whether calling another store or shipping it in, you leave a happy customer! Very disappointed. Arrived at 12:40 to pick up order with a 11:50 pick up time. Was told it would be a bit. But It is now 3:09 and still no order and no info. Wasted my Saturday. Came in for a tiny T5 screwdriver and the employee we talked to knew exactly where to find it! Also used the Spare Key in 1 Minute machine, which was delightfully easy.
They called the lumber guy for the saw twice and I’m still standing here 20m later. I honestly can’t believe I paid for all my items full price. Seems like the customers are more competent than the workers.

Clean...like, surprisingly clean and organized for any store Durham NC that isnt downtown, let alone a home improvement store.Normally, I prefer Lowes because they, as a chain, are generally the cleaner, better lit and more polished of the two, but this particular HD has gotten their act together and are making a very good impression. Their prices are also better than Lowes, and in many cases, Walmart.Please keep up the good work and set an example for other businesses in the area and the other Home Depots to look up to!

The staff is very knowledgeable. Whatever is wrong, you bring it to them, and they can find a replacement that fits exactly. If it doesnt work, it is also easy to return.
This is my favorite store to shop for repair and remodeling.
The store is good, staff are helpful and friendly, but I’m noticing a trend with purchasing defective items. Just in the last 6 months or so, I’ve had to make several return trips just to swap out something that’s didn’t work out of the box. I’m assuming, based on the most recent one that motivated me to write this, that returned items are just being put back on the shelf without any inspection/testing.
Its a great place to shop but not for all veterans. They do not honor any other than active military or disabled veterans. Im 71 and have traded with them since they have been in N C. I have tried unsuccessfully for years to get them to honor all veterans. I will have to direct my purchases to Lowes who does honor all of us!!
Layout is good, shelves are stocked orderly. Needed to use a corporate P.O. and neither clerk that came (one of which was a supervisor) had a clue how to enter it into the computer.
I am not usually someone who places reviews online and try to give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt. If I could give a true rating, I would give a zero. I would highly recommend that if you would like a new appliance for your home not to purchase from this store location. I have had to purchase two new appliances for the home I am currently living in durham g the past 3 months. The first appliance it took at least 2 different delivery dates and numerous calls with managers to get the appliance as the delivery truck just didn’t show up or even call after the 1st delivery date was confirmed.It took almost a month to get the appliance due to everything. The second appliance I still do not have 3 delivery dates and more than a month after the appliance was ordered. During the first delivery an essential item was missing. I received unprofessional treatment in my own home. The second delivery someone came out to deliver and stated there was an issue and they wouldn’t be able to install. The third delivery was supposed to happen yesterday. I received no call and nobody at my door on delivery day. The delivery people stated that they tried to call because they didn’t have an apartment number. I never received a call and they have delivered the same appliance to my place 2 other times in the past month so surely they can call their people and verify my apartment number. I have spent hours on the phone with the delivery company this location uses and with Home Depot managers themselves. None of the managers have taken responsibility for their lack of communication and poor customer service. I still do not have my appliance. There is still no delivery or installation scheduled. And they still have not been able to clarify truly what the reasons are that the appliance my not be able to be installed and what might need to be fixed in my home in order to do so. We would be more than happy to take care of the issues if we knew what they were. The person with the delivery services that called to verify installation services verified that the things that have happened in my home during the first delivery were not according to their protocols and processes and yet nobody will take responsibility or communicate with one another. I would not recommend utilizing this franchise location’s services at this time for any large purchases or deliveries.

I ordered this dryer on August 11th, it was delivered on August 20th, but not installed because I did not have the stacking kit. I was not aware that I had to order it separately. Home Depot agreed to refund the install and removal fees, but that’s it. The website indicated that the stacking kit was in stock at the local store, but when we went to get it, we were told that it is not kept in stock. The manager said we had to order it online ourselves, but eventually agreed to order it for us and and waive the shipping fees. The delivery date was supposed to be today, September 8th. However, we were not given a time. We received a voicemail at 7:49 am from someone saying that they came to deliver it and no one was home to sign for it, so they left and we now need to reschedule. We were home, no one knocked on the door or rang the doorbell. I was outside at 7:45 am, and did not see anyone parked in the driveway or nearby. We called customer service and were told that deliveries dont even start until 8:00 am, but gave no explanation for the first contact coming AFTER the delivery driver already left, or why the driver did not knock or ring the doorbell. The new delivery date is not for another 2 weeks. I cant tell you if I like the dryer or not because I have still not been able to use it. I havent been able to do laundry for weeks, and Home Depot does not seem to care at all about the ongoing issues. I am very disappointed. I expected much more from Home Depot.
!!!THIS STORE DOES NOT HONOR THEIR ADVERTISED SPECIALS!!!I gave this 3 STARS due to my very pleasant experience with CHARITY who was an absolute professional, otherwise this store would get 1 star..I went to Home Depot for something else and happen to see the POSTED ADVERTISED KITCHEN SUITE package of 4 appliances for $1,998. The ad expired the day before HOWEVER CHARITY did an inquiry and found that the ADVERTISED package had been extended thru 5/13/2020. The only variable was the dishwasher and CHARITY found a comparable one that was an upgrade cheaper than the one in the package. She refereed me to MEL and gave MEL a great reference. I returned the next day and had a HORRIBLE experience. Not only did MEL take a phone call after being told I was waiting for her, she had me waiting another 15 mins. I advised MEL of my discussion with CHARITY and referred MEL to the ADVERTISED KITCHEN SUITE package that was STILL POSTED..MEL snatched the signage from the refrigerator, and said this is expired. AGAIN, I reiterated that the special had been extended thru 5/13/2020 MEL was very argumentative. Another associate (JTE79EW) attempted to assist. She and MEL looked each appliance up n the system and add them to the virtual cart. The cost was $2,4 31.. I informed them that price was NOT the ADVERTISED KITCHEN SUITE package for $1,998. JTE79W said she spoke with her department supervisor and they would honor the DISCOUNT...Well that didnt happen. During the entire breakdown and preparation of the sale, JTE79W was condescending, snippy, and acted as if SHE was doing me a favor. The TOTAL COST came to $2,854. When I questioned her about the figures and stated with the $1,998 ADVERTISED KITCHEN SUITE package my calculations came to $2,631. JTE79W spazzed, telling me THATS NOT YOU ASKED FOR !!! You showed us the appliances you and CHARITY selected and thats what I gave you. JTE79W rambled on and when she was done chastising me she ended it with WE CAN ONLY GIVE SO MANY DISCOUNTS I told her I asked that HOME DEPOT honor that $1,998 ADVERTISED KITCHEN SUITE package and that SHE WAS NOT DOING ME FAVOR...A favor would be getting those appliances for FREE...HONORING the ADVERTISED KITCHEN SUITE package IS BUSINESS. SIDE NOTE: EVEN IF THE ADVERTISED SPECIAL IS EXPIRED, MOST STORES HONOR THE SALE BECAUSE IT WAS STILL POSTED...I posted the ADVERTISEMENT Home Depot DIDNT honor This experience was very disturbing.. I left. I went to their competitor and got a better deal on a Samsung Kitchen Suite...I will never chose Home Depot again. Always spend too much money but right now you can get great deals on everything. They have bins full of special buys for the holidays which make great stocking stuffers or secret Santa. Theres something for everyone on you list.

The store had everything that I needed. One of the items was 40% off. Store Associate assisted me at self check out. Very nice. Additionally, I was greeted by other Associates as I browsed the store. That was refreshing.

I go into the store to ask about a mini split hvac system ($749)on the Home Depot website. I wanted to know how much it was to have it installed. They said they would send someone out for a quote. The company that came out didnt sell that split unit but sold much higher end unit starting at $4000. Hope depot should have told us this and not waste our time or the hvacs companies time

If you decide to go to Home Depot based on what they say online, make sure you call first. They didnt have the items they said they carried online. I am not sure how quickly their system refreshes on their supplies. The wait to find someone to help you is sort of awful. When you find someone to actually help you, theyre nice. I want to say 4/5 of the people who helped me was friendly. But I was afraid of the other and felt like I was wasting his time.... plus is that they can cut wood for you in the lumber section!!
Post online said they had product in stock no and no one wanted to help asked for it lady reply was she had to answer the phone and then sat down.

Went for a appointment with Marcia who never showed up to work that day. No one communicated to me that Marcia wouldn’t be available today and I had driven from work for this appointment. Waste of time and based on other reviews, sounds like I’m saving time and headaches.
Tried to do curbside pickup, something that has now been around for 8 months, never got a response. After 20+ minutes went inside to wait in line for pickup, defeating the point of curbside. The employees were friendly and I am sure are doing their best, but not even communicating a wait time is frustrating for this customer.

I wish they would label their tool sections better. I had to look at the packaging in the drill bit isle before I could tell what section of bits I was looking at. Concrete in the back, metal midway down, but not signage or labeling to let you know that.
While my experience with ordering appliances online hasnt been the best both Mel and Jennifer have made this process less stressful by a million. They are knowledgeable and stand up for their customers when it comes down to the customer service we received from the main appliance companies/ third parties. I will definitely be back to this Home Deport because of them. Thank yall so much!
