Bought a wireless printer for a great sale price. Found it online as in stock. Busy clerk promised to find someone to help after hooking up a monitor. He never did and I saw him helping someone else after I found the printer on my own. Seems to me the monitor could have waited or he could have told me which aisle had the printers as he worked. But maybe Im just picky about excellent service.

The old Best Buy is gone. Ordered a treadmill - driver called said he’d be here in an hour. Called me an hour later and said he couldn’t deliver tread mills, that his truck wasn’t big enough, and that I, not him, needed to contact Best Buy to resolve the issue. Spent 2 hours of my life I will never recapture on the phone being bounced from incompetent phone rep to incompetent phone rep. Finally sent to Virginia-based upper level customer service who said the Geek Squad North Carolina regional manager was involved and I’d get a call back. No call - ever - just an email saying my delivery was schedule for three weeks later. So all in all the treadmill *might* be delivered 5 weeks after ordering. Maybe. We will see. Oh - and bought a large TV - that showed up today and the Geek Squad guys had to take it back bc someone at the Best Buy warehouse ran a forklift into it. Of course even with all this no one calls. No one offers any kind of apology or “thank for your patience” or God forbid a gift card.

Ive had several great experiences at the Durham location. 3 months ago, I bought the GoPro Hero8 to record baseball games and the sales rep was super helpful and helped with my decision on what model to get, etc. As you all know, thats the primary reason you actually go into a store - or else we would make the purchase online with Amazon or something. My experience today was the worst retail experience ever. I went to the store to purchase a radar detector and after locating them in the store, they were locked up. I asked a gentleman at the front door for assistance and he stated that it might be a few minutes before someone would meet me back in that area of the store. I proceeded to stand near radar detectors for 15-20 minutes waiting patiently for a sales rep that never showed. I walked back up front and asked the guy for assistance again - response was that we are short staffed (only 10 people in the store) and that if I wanted to wait that I could. I decided to leave and purchase the item elsewhere. While in the parking lot, I tried to call the store and received a message that they were not accepting calls and finally reached an operator who took my complaint and stated that management would follow up within 24 hours. Its to be determined if they follow up but what a poor experience and big retail stores wonder why Amazon is growing by leaps and bounds year over year. Poor customer service doesnt support repeat buyers!

Honestly, thee absolute worst Best Buy store that I’ve ever had to deal with. They will reduce your refund amount for an arbitrary reason like “software” (even if the software bundled with your purchase was free). I had to call numerous people in order to get my full refund. Do yourself a favor and go to another Best Buy in your area. Do not ever go here for any of your needs.

Purchased a new Smart TV for my den. A young man helped with the selection, but was kind of lack luster an not enthusiastic. He never offered me a chance to purchase an extended warranty. I reminded him that he did not make that offer as he and the security guard were putting the TV in my car. He said I could go online and still purchase it.

I ordered a TV for curbside pick up and the employees refused to help me get it in my car. They looked at my car and said that’s not gonna fit. Didn’t even try to put it in. I have fit many TVs in my car, some bigger. I knew it would fit but they didn’t listen and left me with a huge box to deal with on my own. it was extremely awkward for me to handle by myself as the box was bigger than my arms can spread. After asking multiple times for help and being refused I waited for a customer to walk out of the store so I could ask them for help. Once I had an extra set of hands we got it in my car with no problem. Never again will I be dealing with Best Buy. I was originally going to order it to be delivered to my home but they do not ship UPS or FedEx they require you to be home for the delivery and I cannot do that with my work schedule so that already made picking it up even more frustrating.

I should probably rate this 5 🌟, but in actuality its okay is the exact two words I would use.The store looked super picked over, and looked like a TV warehouse. Very few markdowns, but also very few products in general.The post-covid retail atmosphere has definitely changed. I cant rave enough about how NICE it is to go in to a Best Buy, and not get incessantly swarmed with some blue shirt person seeing if you need anything... I was able to peruse for my entire visit in peace. (for this reason I feel like I should rate higher) In all honesty, theyre so short on personnel that NOONE was free to check on me. The 📱 counter had the same customers at both stations the entire time.Hopefully this helps ☺ ✌️

This review is specific to the geek squad at this location regarding an Apple product. Full disclosure apple AND the geek squad have failed miserably. Be warned despite Apple saying you can replace your Apple product under warranty -according to the geek I worked with (after waiting 30 minutes in line despite having an appointment) they mail it off which obviously isn’t a solution leaving customers without a device. Apple continues to maintain the geek squad was in the wrong but to be honest I’m so frustrated at both of them for wasting my entire afternoon and still not resolving the issue I don’t really care and I’ll just leave reviews about this experience on both companies.( also, why bother having appointments if you just go in line order anyways?)Two thumbs down

Went in to purchase a 70 - 80 high end tv. No help no support. Asked the front if there was anybody working in the TV department and they just brushed me off and said theres nobody available.Guess Ill just be buying from Amazon. Horrible service horrible customers support. Dont even bother.It also didnt help that their TV section looked like a war zone from a post-apocalyptic movie with nothing functional or hooked up.

I do not recommend anyone to go there to the geek squad with those young fellows who downloaded my information from one phone to the other and it would not allow me to use the phone through my car which was brand new and I had only had it 2 days. The dealership said it was the phone but he insisted that it wasnt I finally left when he got another phone at another store and it worked perfectly. He was acting as though I was trying to get something free which made me very uncomfortable

My experience was not unlike the previous poster. Was in the store at a slow time (4:30 Wed afternoon) looking at Apple products. For about 15 minutes. No one came & asked if I needed help or advice the whole time. Not much effort with customer service here. This place seems to be ok if you know what you want and can compare prices. Otherwise, I’d look elsewhere.

Went to purchase samsung galaxy watch 3 in 45 mm mystic black. The 2 samsung dressed associates didnt even want to speak to me or assist me. A young lady assisted me and it was an amazing experience. She realized I wasnt being assisted and was able to help me out. I would work with her again. In and out in 15 mins and spent a pretty penny for a freakin watch already knew what I wanted just needed someone to get it for me. Sounds like the perfect customer if you ask me.

I’ve been to better stores. Stopped by the Apple area to look at watch bands and was disappointed by the meager selection they had. Racks were pretty bare. A few boxes were opened and looked like people had gone through them. They did have the coax cable I was looking for. And the sales man was nice and helpful. Will probably look for a different store next time.

I don’t know if it’s a sign of these crazy times, but this store is very understaffed and customer service is not what it is was.It took several tries to get thru on the phone and when I questioned them I got some very misleading info on the cost of a new phone. I have been a Best Buy customer for years and drove 26 miles to buy something that they only had at the new hope commons location. I got to the store at 6:58, they closed at 7pm. They refused to let me in even though I knew exactly what I had come to get and the time wasn’t cheap, it was $150. They could have offered to grab it for me but they told me they were closed even though it was not yet 7pm. I am extremely disappointed by this, the store is only open 8 hours during the day, you would think they would not have to close early. This is poor customer service, if it was after they closed I would understand, but I was here before they were scheduled to close.

Wow what a great experience. I bought alot of equipment for WFH but I had to return and exchange all of it. It was also about 30 mins from closing so I wasnt sure if I could get it all done in time. In the end I was in and out in 15 mins as the helpful sales associate walked me to all of the items that I needed. From there customer service was super friendly and fast 🙂

Ordered 2 items that should be ready in 1 hour and got an email saying one was ready and the other was still pending. I called two hours later to find out if there was an issue and the store said maybe its not in stock, I dont really know, youll have to show up and see what they tell you.I said I am happy to go to a different location if its a stock issue and still the answer was no way to know until you get here. You guys need to get your system in better shape. I visited this Best Buy earlier this week and had an amazing experience. My boyfriend and I were interested in getting new phones. I am mainly writing this review because of the incredible customer service that we received from Timara. She was the only one working in this department because they were short staffed, but she did a flawless job assisting all customers while still checking back with our phone transfer process. She made sure to keep customers informed about what was going on in each process of their transaction or phone activation and no one was left unattended. She maintained a positive, friendly attitude and did not lose her calm although she was busy. She is definitely a hardworking and valuable asset to Best Buy and we hope to see her the next time we are there! Thank you Timara!!
