Have had so many issues with Verizon but this one tops it all. Havent received text in 3 months the said I must have done something. Turns out they turned my ability to receive texts off. Took 3 stores 4 phone calls over 1.5 each to fix this. I hope Ceo sees this
Editing to respond to the comments from Verizon: its now been over 72 hours since your manager promised to fix it and follow up with me. Shes done neither. Ive given you all week to make it right, and its still not right.---Absolute garbage customer service. Manager has no idea how porting works, and failed to properly configure my account. A call to the next manager (Regional? District? Not sure) got me promises of getting everything fixed, but its now been 4 days and I still dont have service, and the manager who promised to return my call still hasnt. If youre gonna use verizon, just do it online, these people are worse than useless.
I had a great experience with Emilia and Eric at this location. They listened to my wants and needs and delivered. This is not my closest Verizon store, but I choose to go back to this one each and every time This store is worth the drive for the knowledgeable and helpful customer service. The associate and Manager were so kind, personable and so patient with what I needed done. I never felt rushed. Thank you Emilia and Eric!
Any time I upgrade I prefer pickups at this location over the one at Danada Sq up the street. Always a quick in and out and the staff friendly.
Why Verizon didnt close this store is beyond me. 6 months ago, I walked into the store with 5 people standing around and no customers. They couldnt take care of me because I didnt have an appointment. Sadly, no one make an effort to offer setting up an appointment either. Common sense must not be part of the training program. I was told to go online to make an appointment for the store I was standing in! Brilliant! I went down to Best Buy who was eager and thankful I was buying 2 Note20 Ultras.Because of the chip shortage, we ordered an S21 Ultra 5G directly from Verizon Sept. 20 but they didnt know when they would be available. I asked if a local Verizon store would have availability. Everything was a struggle trying to understand the foreign off-shore customer service. The transmission delay to the Philippines added to the communication struggles. Why companies feel its acceptable to employ call centers that dont have a command of the English language when these people wouldnt be employable at there store stores? This adds another layer to solve the problems the Verizon customers have to deal with. Im sure Verizon would have something to say if I walked into one of their stores and started speaking German. They obviously couldnt help me. Unfortunately going into this location compounded the problems. I explained we were on the phone doing our best for over 1 & half hours last night to order the S21 Ultra 5G. What we were told and emailed was that everything was all set. Just go in and show them the receipt of the order. I wish it was that easy. This store couldnt pull up the order but knew there was an upgrade fee. Again, another disconnect with the call center that our receipt didnt reflect. What was worse was the distain the female store mgr. handled the whole situation. I explained how difficult it was on the phone with the foreign call center and she proceeded to berate me on my experience as though she couldnt handle the reality of the situation. Hardly management behavior. I didnt come into the store for verbal volleyball or political rhetoric, but she kept asking my wife what I saying as I sat in the store trying to solve a problem she had no interest in solving. I asked for the manager and she claimed she was it for the day. Without a name tag she wouldnt give me her name so heres a quick photo without her face so hopefully the real store mgr. or regional mgr. will address her attitude. Better yet, walk down to Best Buy to experience what helpful employees should act like and get your Verizon phones and accessories from people who really care and appreciate you going out of your way to come in and do business with them. Avoid this location by all means. The masks may help prevent covid but they certainly do nothing to prevent rudeness!!!
Pretty good service. I would recommend this place over other locations.
Nice store.Helpful and pleasant people working there.
Depending on the sales person, don’t bother making the drive, they will just refer you to call 611. “They will be able to guide you and go over your best options. Either way if you have a billing question they will need to fix it.”We were taken without an appointment over the weekend and when an issue came up with our order on Tuesday, we were not able to be assisted without an appointment and felt very unwelcome. Oh, the place was empty. Wonder what we need store fronts for if most refer you to the app or tech support.
Manager very helpful.
Great staff and great service! Very helpful with last minute Christmas shopping.
Clean, professional, and excellent customer services in compliance with the COVID-19 restrictions. Thank you, Verizon! #proudcustomer
Just tried calling the store and Lombard and all you get is prompts prompts prompts wanted to purchase an iPhone will not do so well go elsewhere if you cant talkto a human what kind of service am I going to get in the future
If they could be any slower and take more time it would be against nature
My mother has had problems with this store since march. Every time she calls, the representatives do not understand simple things and she is on hold for hours on end. I do not recommend this store.
Always expert assistance!
Friendly people. Take good care of you.
This location is awesome. I stopped in because my hotspot stopped working and I had just purchased a new phone. Emmanuel and Jen worked tirelessly to find a solution. The situation was a system wide issue so they couldnt fix it right away but I walked out with a great temporary solution until the bigger fix took place.Outstanding service both visits. Have no problems returning.
I have been a customer of this location for over 20 years. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Recently I purchased a new phone and Manny was exceptional at recommending what product would best meet my needs. He even let me leave my phone and set it up for me. Even though the store had customers waiting you never feel pressured about making decisions. This is a corporate store and is well run.
Armando is the best
Always have the assistance needed. Today with Eric. In the past with Tom. I choose them because of the customer service. Thank you for being there when I need you, with respectful service.
One of my favorite stores. I would travel out of my way to go visit this store because of the staff. Even when I had a difficult problem, the people there were not only determined to find a solution- they were empathetic to my needs as a customer and as a person.
Eric thank you for the great service you provided, to think we almost went to another service provider but because someone recommended that I try your store because you will go above & beyond for your customers . I must say we are truly satisfied, thank you young man.
Holy cow! ASK FOR KRIS THE ASIAN DUDE. Upgraded us a day ahead, knows everything. Can actually explain our bill and also got us a discount though my employer. My super pregnant wife loves the rose gold 7 plus they had in stock.
Had the greatest service rep working to find me an iphone 8+. This man worked and searched for an iphone8+ phone all over Chicago area today. There was one. We ear marked it for me and the rep mentioned that there was just one step left to getting this (highly coveted) phone. I said my current battery was down to 10% (very very old phone with a plummeting battery) and Im not sure I have enough battery to look at and sign the agreement. He said I should be fine. Well my old phone died right then and there. I had to drive 10 minutes home to get on my husbands phone. I called Verizon again and they said there was no phone agreement. I asked them to check the Elmhurst store (the location where they found the iphone8+) and they said they do not have any iphone8+, or iphone8. In fact there are none in the entire Chicago area. My original rep was the greatest BUT my cry for concern or help because of no battery time left on my phone went unheard. Very frustrating. Seems there had to be a way to reserve that phone for me. Instead I was cut off from the agreement and rep. Now Im faced with buying a phone that is 2x as expensive. Pandemic time is not the time to spend $1000 on a phone when I could have spent $550. Thus I am very disappointed in Verizon.
Nice service in contrast to the money vultures we have dealt with elsewhere. Brian helped us to replace cell phones, taking care to keep all data in tact. He also reviewed our billing to remove unnecessary charges. Thursday morning seemed to be a good time.
Had an awsome experience thanks to Eric Villanueva. We are usually hesitent about buying phones because of the confusing terms and agreements. However, Eric took the time to explain the process AND answered any follow up questions we had days later! He got us great phones and an excellent deal to match. Definitely the definition of phenomenal customer service.
In. Out. Got what I wanted with prompt and courteous service! Tom is awesome! 👍
The store was looking great and they have the latest phones available on display and also they have free wifi but there are a lot of areas where there can be improvement.1. Attention to the customer; though the store was practicality empty not one trip has time for you2. Inventory; though their display had great phones this doesnt reflect their inventory3. Verizon is generally costly compared with other network providers
Wow!!! Kris made everything so simple! My family as and I came for major upgrades & I was totally exhausted from work. But, Kris took all the guesswork out of the process. He went above and beyond. The lady manager was very friendly and helpful also. Go Kris!!! Go Verizon!
Great customer service and quick turnaround. My wife and I switched from Sprint to Verizon. We were in and out in about an hour. Not bad at all compared to previous experiences.
My mother went into this store to purchase a Gimzo pal. She was told by the rep RYAN that it is no problem that she has T-Mobile as a phone carrier that this will be a great fit. This rep absolutely lied. He also lied about the monthly bill. He instructed my mother to have separate accounts. She later looked at the receipt and saw the monthly would be different than what the rep said. She went back into the store & the rep informed her he kept it on the same account. That “running credit would be bad.” What? Makes absolutely no sense & sounds like someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about. After hours of trying to figure out why the gizmo will not link up to anyone’s phone, we come to find out that they aren’t compatible. I’m a manager for t-mobile & this is EXACTLY why t-mobile dogs Verizon. It is full of people who don’t know how to sell, no customer service & liars. Ryan, i would love to teach you how to be a proper salesmen.
This store is always busy! It is by the mall in a popular location. Great service here many tines over.
I went into the store today to buy a new phone and I had the pleasure of working with Tom. I can be very indecisive and Tom was very patient with me and answered any questions that I had. He also kept reassuring me that I made the right decision! Thanks for the good service Tom!
Everyone here is friendly and good to work with. When they dont know something they dont lie to you and try to find the answer instead of most places that just want you to buy something and lie to you
Kris was very effecient in solving my problem, as has always been the case in dealing with this store. This kind of service is what you can expect---even for my dumbest question. The manager, however, is not customer oriented, to say the least.
Very good serviceNice and professional people
Came in today to see if I could upgrade my phone. I waited for 10 minutes, salespeople were helping others. I was looking at the salespeople just to get a hello, we will be with you in a minute... I was just ignored like I was invisible. Needless to say, I spent my money elsewhere and am very happy with my purchase.
Condescending, rude, and patronizing employees here at this location. I cannot recommend avoiding this location at all costs. After 30 seconds of looking at my phone they made assumptions of how I treated it. They pushed and pushed for me file an insurance claim knowing full well my motorola z2 force was covered by the warranty. Full disclosure: I lost my cool and got banned from this location. Dont worry I wouldnt go back here if I was paid. If I was the owner of this store the employees working this morning would be out of a job.
Excellent service
Worst experienece ever. I was appalled by the treatment I received during my visit. Discrimination at its finest.
Although the visit had some awkward communications via the Covid-19 restrictions, my screen protector was ultimately replaced and fixed.
I had a great experience at this store yesterday when I went in to upgrade my phone. The only con was that they were slammed and it took a while to get to an agent. I worked with Tom and he was very friendly, apologetic for the delay and went right into my needs. I walked out 30 minutes later with my new galaxy S6 and coulnt be happier! Thanks Tom!
Always friendly and knowledgeable. Eric was extremely helpful.
They explained everything thoroughly and are always ready to explain any charges I am unfamiliar with and made me comfortable and confident in my switch to Verizon. Truly a wonderful experience.
This location has a fantastic staff that is more than willing to help with any need, and answer all questions.
When I went into the store and was asking about Android phones, being an iphone user in the past, the male worker that was helping me simply replied to my questions with I dont know I have an Iphone. Android is half of your business! That is not the first time that I have been extremely disappointed in this Verizon location, horrible.
GOOD Srvice has limitations
First the guy is making a personal phone call on the floor and not helping me, and them my brand new screen protector that I bought he chipped right out of the box. Then he proceeds to put it on crooked, and didnt clean off my phone before he put it on, now there are 4 hairs underneath the screen protector. Never coming back to this store again. HORRIBLE SERVICE
Excellent service. The crew really worked well as a team.
Some people seem to not really have the patience or knowledge and when they talk to u about a smartphone they talk to fast and think I know all about these phones and I honestly dont know everything.
Fast, friendly and knowledgeable staff make for a good overall experience.
Unless you have time to waste sitting around waiting to be helped dont even bother. Im in the store writing this nobody has even looked at me for 30-45 minutes.
Great service each time I have gone.
I went there a while back when I was debating on getting out of my Verizon contract. At the time I had a iPhone 5 and a cellular iPad mini. I wanted to switch to a carrier with unlimited data since I like to stream music a lot. Anyways, I knew that I could buy a SIM card for the iPad and switch over to T-Mobile or Sprint. I asked Verizon if I could take my mini and put it on another network. They come back to me and tell me well no you cant, that iPad has certain network properties that will only work on Verizons LTE network. I pretended to be disappointed and sad. I then told them well Im thinking of leaving Verizon that is why I asked. They did everything they could to keep me. They offered me more data for the same price I am already paying for. I told him I didnt want that. Said thanks and walked out. I then go to T-Mobile. Ask the guy the same thing I asked Verizon. He tells me of course you can buy a SIM card for that iPad. I switched over and havent looked back since. They (Verizon) lied to me many times and I caught them doing it.Good riddance
Id give zero but not available yet.BAD serviceBAD staffBAD experienceOvercharged, did not offer me my warranty correctlydid not offer my phone protection correctly either.Up sold me for nothing. Scammers.Never AgainNo wonder they have a security guard in there they get you pissed.BUYER BEWARE
If you get Alejandro, leave and come back later. He was the least helpful sales associate I have ever encountered
This is a Verizon.
These guys dont deserve a star, and they have no concept of customer service. The service rep, was playing with his personal phone while I was asking questions. And his answer to everything was well you have to call into the customer service center. What the hell are you guys for??? No one should ever goto this store.
Just down right rude and had me waiting for about 2 hours.i got skipped over by 2 sells employees and the manager that was on hand was the rudest
You less for your money now than you ever did and services arent that great anymore shop around.
Friendly staff.
A few weeks ago I changed from AT&T to Verizon after a couple of decades with them. They fund OAN and I prefer democracy so.... Anyway, AT&T made it nearly impossible for me to switch, of course. The Verizon rep, Ryan Dignan did an amazing job of cutting through the AT&T roadblocks, literally working 3 phones at once until he was finally able to get my numbers transferred over. It took almost 3 hours and Emilia, the general manager, kept the store open until everything was set up. The whole thing just made me really glad, again, that I switched to Verizon. Thanks everyone at the Downers Butterfield store and good riddance AT&T!
