Beware of the guy at the front desk...I had my car towed in for a no start and prior to that i had a diag code scan and found out why it wouldnt start .. But Doug the guy at the front desk called me and said I needed an engine..and charged me 250.. Dollars. For an engine scope... And. 5 min later called me and said he had a guy at the shop earlier to inquire if I wanted to junk my car..... Just know what you need when you take your car there. This seem like a scam

I needed an alternator replaced and I bought my own alternator. They charged me 150.00 to put in and said they originally wanted 180.00 cause it depends on what all they had to do. It only took the mechanic less than 30 minutes to do the job. I will NEVER go back again and I DONT RECOMMEND this shop to anyone

My experience at University Auto was great. Sam took very good care of my car. He was able to tell me what was wrong and was able to fix it right away. I also like how they make sure you are satisfied with their service before you leave. My mom has been going to them for over two years and I definitely will be a returning customer. I had a leak in my brake line on my left driver side all they had to do was replace a few feet of brake line. They charged me $450... everyone I have talked to since has told me I was overcharged and the prices I have heard for the exact same job make me sick to my stomach. Price gouging for a simple job, they will never see me again.

They took great care of me the Customer Service was Wonderful they was patient with my Warranty company who was a little Difficult at times, but they got my running good as New! Do NOT take your vehicle here !!! They’re untruthful and will tell you things are wrong with your car just so you will have to finance through Snap or Dignify !! They will max out your loan and guess what?! Your car would be in worse condition than before you got it “fixed “!!! RUN !!! On October 6, 2012, I took my car to have inner and outer tie rods installed. While there, they suggested a steering u-joint and an alignment. I chose to have all of that done and the prices were fair.After they finished, I noticed one of my lug nuts was missing. Not only that, but the wheel stud that it was on was broken. Its not so bad they they broke something, but that they (their mechanics) broke it and didnt tell me. How can you trust that?I had to come back two days later for them to replace the stud and lug, but they replaced the lug with some crap, not the OEM lug that was there. They told me to go buy the right one and theyd reimburse me.1. Broke my property.2. Didnt tell me.3. Didnt repair the broken property to the level that it was at when I brought it there.Ill never go to them again.

Ive was going here to have my car repaired but they do a shotty job at best. The last time my car was there I was getting 2 hub bearing, a control arm, new tires and a wheel alignment done. When i received my car back, one of the wheels was still shaking. So I took it back up there. A mechanic checked it out. He said he could see nothing wrong with it. So i left. The wheel was still shaking. So i brought it back again. They said it might be a bent rim. They said they would replace it at their expense. He said they would order it and call me back the next day. Its the next day, i recieve no call. Im like ok maybe it hasnt come in. The next day rolls around. No call. So i call them. He said it hasnt come in yet. A week has passed. No call no nothing. So i go up there. They never ordered the part in the first place. So i asked to speak to the manager. He said he wasnt in. But he told me he would order the rim today. He didnt. Another 3 days passed. I went back up there. No rim talked to the manager. He knew nothing about a rim. Needless to say, i never went back up there.

The most dishonest business I have had the misfortune to deal with. I purchased a car there and was told that I would pay $10000 for it. In reality they charged me $13,000 and took it from my finance company plus cash that they claimed was for registration and tax purposes. In total I paid $13,984 for a car worth $8500

The worst place in Detroit they will over charge you and then try to get you to get a 1500$ loan
