Bought a minivan through Auto Specialist about a year ago. Weve had a few minor repairs, but what else do you expect with a used vehicle. We were very happy with the price and service received here! With close inspection you will notice that most of the negative posts here have few details--we all have a few unreasonable customers like that. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed with them! My husband looked at a truck on Saturday. Really liked what he saw and wouldve been willing to buy then with cash. However, he noticed the speedometer wasnt working. Salesman said they would get it fixed and let him know. Dealership called on Monday at 11 AM to say it was fixed. Husband said he wanted to buy it but wasnt comfortable putting down a deposit until he could verify that the speedometer issue was truly fixed. Called later then at 5 PM to set up an appt the next day to drive the hour to Des Moines to buy it. And the truck had been sold. Other reviews stated how pleasant and accommodating the owner had been. Regrettably, that was not our experience.

I’ve been looking for a 2006 Silverado for a few months and have found several that looked nice in pictures, and totally rotted out behind the rockers. I found a very clean 2006 Chevy Silverado at the Auto specialist online, and was kinda nervous about driving 6 hours to find out it looked good on the outside, and rotting underneath. The owner assured me it was clean so we discussed a price, and I drove to his lot. The truck was everything he said it was, and even better. The owner stayed late for me, was very nice, friendly, and gave me an awesome deal on a beautiful truck. I would definitely recommend making a purchase from The Auto Specialist.

I visited this dealership the other day and had a great experience looking for an SUV to replace my old 2000 Ford Explorer. The guy that help me, I think his name is Herb or Harold - Im horrible remembering names, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicle in his inventory. He didnt make me feel pressured to buy anything on the spot, even after I told him the features I was looking for in an SUV. He held great conversation and had me laughing my butt off. In the end, if he gets the vehicle I want in stock, I will be sure to do business with this dealership.

I stopped in the lot last week looking at vehicles. I was not pleasured and was able to take my time looking. The guy that helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable!! I would recommend this car lot if you’re looking for a vehicle! Professional environment.

You can tell by the appearance of this lot and ther inventory that they really care about what they do. Awesome to work with. Great guys. Great prices. Will definitely do business with again in the future.

I bought a truck here 1 year ago have not had one issue with it. I have taken it off road pulled my camper and boat with it of course it’s a Chevy just saying. Best dealership in desmoines hands down

Purchased a used Tahoe here. Has a few quirks but nothing major and was told about most of them up front. Great for a used vehicle though. The owner was very friendly and helpful as well. Prices were very fair for the vehicles he had at the time as well. I would highly recommend this place!

Very unwilling to work with. Wouldnt even let me test drive the Corvette I was interested in. Also they dont do trade ins. Very rude!!

Bought a vehicle from them, the transmission went out in 3 months. Will never go back.

Would not recommended, buy pickup there a few 3 days later i have to fix knock sensor it cost me $700 and then but they would not fix it for free not worth at all.
