I have been obsessed with Sugar Bakeshop because not only are the desserts delicious, but they make the most beautiful, fun, and creative desserts that are true pieces of art! When I got engaged there was no question in my mind that I would ask them to do the desserts for my wedding. I have used them for others events like baby showers, birthdays, and my bridal shower too. They are always professional and go above and beyond in their presentation and recipes for their delicious desserts! I was extremely happy with everything they made and would recommend them to everyone!

Wow! So impressed. We had a micro wedding last week & we ordered 3 flavors (6” cake & 2 dozen cupcakes) because we couldn’t choose just one flavor! We had so many compliments on how delicious everything was. They were so helpful, so quick to respond to me if I had questions & creating this order was super simple! All employees have been so kind. Highly recommend for any and all occasions!

They make the best cakes ever. They are also one of the only shops to understand I love my cakes to be chocolate filled with chocolate. These two cakes were done for milestone birthdays for my hubby and came out amazing. Even though I live out in Aurora now I will always get cakes made by them.

My partner and I love this bakery. The muffins are our favorite. I recently tried their version of a pop-tart and it was scrumptious 😋 😍! Sugar, please make more muffins on Saturdays as we usually score the last one. Maybe we should pre-order a box. The staff is supper nice! All around great place!

I trusted sugar bakeshop to make me a delicious wedding cake and I am so glad I did! Their cake tasting process was take out, and we got a variety of cakes to choose from. All the cakes were absolutely delicious, but ultimately we decided on their berry citrus cake... YUM! The process of ordering was super easy and Caroline kept in contact with me through the months up until my wedding day. We also rented a cake stand from them that fit the theme of our wedding perfectly. I am so glad I found sugar bakeshop and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an amazingly beautiful and delicious cake for their wedding!

Sugar Bakeshop is by far my favorite bakery and one of the best bakeries in the Denver area. For years, Ive admired and enjoyed their baked goods and cafe drinks. When it came time to choose a bakery for our recent wedding, my husband and I knew Sugar Bakeshop was our place. Although they make amazing cakes, neither myself nor my husband are big cake people, but instead prefer an arrange of desserts. We ordered a range of popsters, raspberry thumb print cookies, smores cookies and custom Oreo brownies. Everything was perfect, as expected, and were still getting compliments and questions about the popsters from our family and friends who came from out of town! If youre looking for a great bakery that can also meet dietary needs, is friendly, professional, and most of all, delicious, I cannot recommend Sugar Bakeshop enough!

Sugar Bakeshop made us the most delicious and good looking wedding cake! The team coordinating was so communicative and easy to work with! The cake tasted even better than it looked (bourbon vanilla with salted caramel was SO good). We chose Sugar Bakeshop to do our wedding cake along with some cupcakes and the whole process was easy and seamless! Caroline was my person of contact and she did an amazing job at answering all my questions and making sure we had everything we needed so we could enjoy our day. I decided that I didnt need the delivery service but quickly realized 2 days before that it was actually something that would help out a lot. Caroline quickly arranged a last minute drop off for me in Golden, which I was incredibly thankful for, great customer service! Extremely pleased with the Strawberry Popster! Flakey and full of flavor. Not too sweet, just right. I been wanting to have a vegan handmade poptart since I heard about them years ago but never had the time or energy to try myself at home. I am very grateful Novo coffee offers pastries like this from the Sugar Bakeshop, because Novo was within walking distance from where I was staying for the day.

Sugar Bakeshop did an amazing job with our wedding! We wanted something a little different from the standard wedding cake, and the popsters were perfect! They satisfy a variety of sweet cravings and were easy to set up and be delivered the day of. Their wedding coordinator is extremely responsive to questions. We were very happy with the experience.

Stopped by to pick up some breakfast, surprised by their popster and cookie flavors! The lemon filling with lavender frosting popster was subtle and not too sweet. Ginger cookie sandwich with cream cheese filling was chewy and distinct. Matcha latte was well balanced, though personally I like stronger matcha.

Best bakery in Denver. We love Sugar Bakeshop. We recently ordered a Christmas/Birthday cake for my mom. The day of our pick-up (Christmas Eve), we had a family emergency and ended up at urgent care for my daughter. Not only did Sugar Bakeshop offer to deliver the cake, they also included a free box of beautiful sugar cookies. I have watched over the year Sugar Bakeshop stand up for values I care about: equity, justice, and compassion. And in an instant, they showed the same sort of compassion to me. It is so nice to support a group of fabulous bakers, who make amazing tasting desserts, and truly live up to the highest standards in all aspects of their business.

My husband and I used Sugar Bakeshop for both the cake and favors for our wedding. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! Our cake turned out beautifully and all guests enjoyed the unique specialized flavors (funfetti, vanilla bourdon and chocolate with strawberry frosting.) We used Sugar Bakeshop as our dessert vendor for our wedding and they were absolutely incredible- both to work with and taste wise :) Sugar Bakeshop was so easy to work with, the tasting was so fun and extremely helpful when it came to estimated quantities of the desserts. They have homemade pop-tarts(with lots of flavors, such as Wild Berry, Brown Sugar, and Lavender Lemon), and lots of other goodies. Not the best I’ve ever had, but still excellent.

Yall have to try these amazing baked goods. The toaster pastries made in house are incredible and you can have them warm them up. The maple and blueberry arent favorites.

I tried a raspberry popster and a smore cookie. The cookie was absolutely delicious, chocolate chip cookie base topped with marshmallow and a Hersheys chocolate, and graham crackers on the bottom. The cookie was thick and soft and really quite good. I should have gotten two! The popster fell flat for me, the icing was overly sweet and I didnt love the raspberry filling.Very cute, artsy atmosphere within the shop. Theres a typewriter in the front where you can type out your own note. There are notes posted up on the wall from other customers.

My (now) husband and I received a gift certificate for Sugar Bakeshop from a friend to use for our recent wedding. We already had our main dessert covered but thought it would be fun to have decorative, custom cookies to pass out to all of our guests. I worked with Caroline who was kind and easy to work with. I gave her a little direction on what I was thinking and she and her team ran with it. I was so happy when I picked up my cookies-- they were BEAUTIFUL! (The cookies came in several cute shapes including hearts, cakes, tuxes and wedding dresses). Not only did they look great, they tasted great too. We had so many compliments from our guests too. Caroline and the Sugar Bakeshop team were incredible to work with for our wedding! From the tasting (which felt more like a date night) through every step of the process to our wedding day, they were great to communicate with and flexible as we figured out what we wanted for our wedding day. Everything day-of went smoothly and all of the sweets tasted amazing! Our guests especially loved the little popsters as favors and that we got to add our personalized stickers to each package. Sugar Bakeshop has a special place in our hearts and my husband and I already plan on going back and getting popsters for our first anniversary next year.

I was so excited to have a real bakery cake for my birthday this year. The staff was very friendly and my cake was gorgeous. However, it didnt taste good at all. It was supposed to be a strawberry cake, but the cake itself did not taste of strawberry. It was extremely dense, and not cake-like at all. It almost looked like parts of it didnt get fully baked? Or they didnt use any leavening? The cake itself wasnt sweet either, but there was so much frosting that it helped to hide that. The frosting was dry and crumbling. I was extremely upset about the cake, and honestly embarrassed as none of my guests wanted to eat their pieces. My boyfriend (who has allergies and is unable to taste it) spent $70 (this is including tax and tip) for this beautiful cake that tasted like sugar and cardboard. There is no contact us page on their website, or in my e-mail confirmation of my order. I could have called the shop to express my disappointment, but I didnt want my boyfriend to overhear how bad it was and wanted looking for a more discreet method of contact. I am SO disappointed.

We used Sugar Bakeshop for our micro-wedding and they were amazing! We got a small Vanilla Bourbon cake, some gluten free cookies, and of course some mini popsters. All were a huge hit! The wedding cake was gorgeous and delicious, and my family couldn’t keep their hands off the popsters. Caroline was very professional, efficient, kind, and easy to work with. I will definitely be going back!

The pavlova blew our minds. Didn’t even last 5 minutes after walking in the door. Cookies were the best my dads ever had. I’d say a hella good time.

Well, I would go back just for the lemon ricotta almond cake - so delicious! We also tried their homemade pop tarts and black pepper cherry coffee cake. All great! Friendly staff, good coffee, and nice decor made this a perfect little spot for a morning treat!

This place has become one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. The desserts/pastries are very good and Im also a fan of their vegetarian breakfast burrito. The staff is always friendly and you get a small discount on your drinks if you bring your own cup or thermos.

Ive been coming here for about 5 years and I must say that it used to be a lot better. The customer service is unfriendly at best. Ive ordered custom cakes, holiday pies and stop in for GF items. Lately theyve just been flavorless and stale. Today, I swear I tasted soap in my latte and had to throw it out. Such a waste! Its a very cute shop, very pretty pastries and nice decor. If youre looking for overpriced bland baked goods, this is your place. If youre looking for good coffee, there are PLENTY of great coffee shops with friendly baristas in the neighborhood. Maybe they need to be reminded of that!

We tried quite a few bakeries in Denver and Boulder for our Estes Park wedding, and while a lot of them were great, we absolutely made the right choice by picking Sugar Bakeshop. The staff (especially Caroline) was responsive and helpful both during planning and on the big day, and the cake and dessert stand was beautiful and (more importantly) delicious! We got tons of compliments on how great the cake was, and almost didnt have enough since everyone wanted seconds. Highly recommend for weddings, or just to stop in for coffee and some great pastries.

I love Sugar! Everything here is delicious -- from the drip coffee, to the tea and lattes, to the pastries and cookies and cakes. I appreciate that they have food for different diets (vegan, paleo, etc). The staff is really kind and friendly. I work nearby, and this is a good place to decompress from stressful days, or have casual (quiet!) meetings with coworkers.

Although the popsters we had were good, I was very turned off by the automatic tip that was added to my bill. I was told my total would be $32, after receiving my electronic receipt, my total was actually $42 due to an automatic tip of 25% being added to my bill. No one told me there would be an automatic tip, nor was it posted anywhere noticable. I understand tipping the staff, especially now in the recovery period of COVID, but I am not okay with it automatically being added to my bill without any notice. I will not be returning due to por business ethics.

Caroline and her team catered dessert for my 125 person wedding! We had popsters and mini sugar cookies! First off, the staff here is amazing. Everyone is so friendly! The tasting we had was a lot of fun and Caroline let us customize our package. They were timely, responsive and so sweet! Caroline even left a card for us before they left the venue after setting up! I would highly recommend Sugar Bake Shop and especially the popsters! Everyone LOVED THESE!

Natalie, and her team at Sugar Bake Shop worked with me to create the most beautiful and unique dessert spread for our wedding. We received countless compliments on the presentation and the flavors. Mediocre bakery. Tiny selection and a tad overpriced for the quality. Nice atmosphere and decent service. Would not return. Stood there for 5 minutes trying to figure out what they had before the man behind the counter looked up and said “do you know what you want”. When we left no one acknowledged us. My wife dumped her drink out because it was so bad. Do not recommend.

Cute lil bake shop, delicious lil bites and coffee was smooth, also had other then coffee substitutes which are just as good.

The music is a bit annoying and loud but overall kind staff, quick drinks and clean chic decor. there are a few seats inside but much more outside which will be great for spring/summer.

I sometimes like to think that a cafes intent of quality can be measured by the decor of the walls -- in this case awesome art by locals artists. Everything is from scratch, and while best for a cheat day, its a lot easier than making it yourself! Staff was eager to answer questions of provenance and chit-chat between guests.

We went for their handmade pop tarts, but we were a little disappointed they didnt have the flavor we wanted. We specifically went on a particular day based on the menu on their website, but they said the nutella flavor is seasonal and wont be back until November. The brown sugar cinnamon pop tart was still good, though! The blueberry was good also, but it was a bit too much after only a bite or two.

I once came here every day for a semester of school, not only did I get all As that semester, everyone was so impressed that they built a statue out of marble of me.The turkey breakfast burrito is actually the best thing I have ever tasted.

I have had mixed experiences here. I live in the same building, so I go in very regularly. The service is good sometimes and pretty poor other times. Just cold and kinda rude. The guy there with the nose ring is where this is most obvious. The drinks are very expensive also. That being said, the drinks and food are delicious and some of the girls are very nice

Not impressed with the customer service, doesnt appear to be any sugar in their baked goods, I understand gluten free, paleo, etc. But live up to your name. Seems like all of the baked goods are always dry, even in the morning. Purchased a $4 cupcake with no flavor to it. Service is slow, they do not offer the appropriate to go boxes, and overall very disappointed.

Unique yummy treats, cool community atmosphere

Sugar has changed from a place I wanted to like more, to where I prefer to go on the weekends to get a morning treat. The staff is always very friendly, and the pastries are great. Sugar is a gem on this stretch of Broadway.

They are nice, but much like most of the people have suggested Sugar Bakeshop just falls short of being anything more then mediocre. The pastry is dry, crumbly and not worth the money spent. I prefer other bakeries in town to them and would not repeat.
