We were in the neighborhood and wanted to try a coffee place in the evening. This place has coffee but is essentially a bar I think. However, we tried coffee, hot chocolate, almond croissant. I loved the croissant, it was delicious. The coffee was good too. We chose to sit outside, service was bit slow IMO.
Hudson Hill has the perfect mix of atmosphere to cocktails to conversation ambiance. Unassuming from the outside yet an oasis of connectivity inside. Great place to get coffee or a cocktail and connect with friends.
Wow! I met up w/ a friend on a Friday night. I got there before it got super busy. I was immediately greeted and sat wherever I wanted to (love that as an option!). The cocktails were outstanding. I had the best Mezcal Paloma. It was truly crafted to perfection. The service was spot on just as all the reviews highlighted. The place is spacious, inviting, inclusive and chill. My bar tab was very reasonable for staying almost 3 hours. The way the staff managed how busy it was is deeply impressive. People kept coming in the door left and right nonstop and they managed it all very well and acutely. I’m impressed this place isn’t pretentious at all. Great spot in Cap hill. I will definitely be back very soon!!!!
Cool Happy Hour spot that has a stunning interior and wonderful wait staff. This spot is great for anyone in the cap hill area.
This coffee shop is a great place to relax, or grab a coffee or cocktail with friends! Super friendly staff who actually remember my name when I come in, delicious drinks, and such a great vibe. It’s not every coffee shop that has amazing coffee, a good food menu, legit cocktails and an amazing environment. Also a LGTBQ+ safe zone, they don’t just say it, you actually feel it.
I am so glad I finally checked this place out! Its a beautiful coffeeshop with absolutely delicious coffee. I got a caramel almond milk latte. No BS, its probably the best latte Ive ever had.
Ill admit Id been stalking this place since I arrived in Denver and it was totally worth it. The green chill and cheddar croissant was the perfect antidote to 2 hours of hiking in the garden of the gods. The apricot sour and Mr. Pink were drinks that expertly meddled fresh fruit and alcohol (bourbon and tequila respectively). To top it off the employees were sweet, socially distanced and super helpful. I kind of want to move to Denver just so I can become a regular.
This place is perfection. Whether you want to grab some coffee while you work, or share some cocktails towards the end of your day, HH has it all. And if you’re lucky to catch whiff of a grilled cheese being made, you’ll be convinced to order one yourself. The service is incredibly friendly too, plus they play the best music.
Brilliant decor and lighting. The music when I was there was LOUD as all heckfire. Really good music, great speakers, but why make people shout to talk over it? Odd formula. 1. Create vibe were people want to sit and write / have convo. 2. Play music that prevents them from doing so. Ok. Anyway the staff were great and I look forward to returning and hope its a bit more conducive to chillin rather than listening to the people around me shout at each other about their day.
I like to leave fair reviews and will be honest the atmosphere was nice, unfortunately me and my party of 5 could not enjoy any drinks because when we showed our IDs the hostess had a man red hair beard glasses come up and tell us because my girlfriend vertical ID would not be accepted. Which we were ok with but then he had a aggressive attitude, and we said we would just leave and he said yeah that would be good. Was really excited to try we Google a special drinks . But unfortunately we were treated like we were not welcomed. Super disappointed
I wish I had shared the same experience as others, unfortunately I did not! My time spent here was wasted. The music was so loud I could not hear myself. They had none of the food available on the menu either. Despite this the mimosa I enjoyed almost changed my mind. However when I attempted to pay my bill all the staff were very inattentive. They seemed more interested in giving girls free shots and sharing one with them. Safe to say I will not be going back.
The hill on top of the hill, thats what they call it! Due to this establishment residing upon the top of Capital Hill, Hudson Hill, by a technicality, is in fact a hill on a hill! And if you take into account that Colorado is a mountainous region.... technically, Hudson Hill is a hill, on a hill, on a mountain.Good coffee, fun lights, would hill again 50/10
High quality coffee, amazing cocktails, beautiful decor and great vibe. Staff was super friendly.
Ive only gone for coffee/light breakfast, but it also serves as a bar. Great space, great staff, awesome espresso drinks, and delicious bites. Favorite coffee in the neighborhood.
An awesome little spot for coffee, cocktails and small bites. Really cool vibe and all of the bartender/baristas were super nice.
This place is such a vibe! By far one of the coolest coffee shops in Denver!
While this joint is a chill hipster location in the heart of Denver, their menu lacks recipes that are allergy-friendly. Further more, even if you purchase a beverage as I did, management is quick to point out that they dont want you to return if you bring in food from an outside vendor. Thoroughly uninviting. I shant return.
This spot is truly one of my forever favorites. A great place to meet up with a pal for coffee or drinks, or just to work for a little bit. (had their ham + cheese croissant this morning...a true delight!) The environment is so warm & inviting and the humans that work here are always kind. Definitely a great place to check out if youre in Denver or passing through.
Good wine. Grilled cheese was ok. Didnt get the wine I ordered twice in a row, but it was comped so I guess that is cool.Like a bunch of restaurants, most problems can be solved by writing customer orders down vs trying to remember 5 tables at a time.
This review is mostly about the coffee shop side of the business, although I had a drink here once in the evening and really enjoyed it.With that said, this is one the best coffee shops in Denver. Great atmosphere and friendly staff who pay attention to you and your order in case you return. A variety of seating options with ample sunlight or fully outdoors. Tasty, well made coffee drinks worth the steep cost of espresso-based pickmeups. You can’t go wrong here, much better service and brewing than others in the area.
Gorgeous coffee shop with great vibe, coffees and cocktails!Staff is super friendly and knows there stuff when it comes to making a delicious beverage! Highly recommend!! 😍😍👌👌
Incredible. The cocktails were amazing, beer selection was maybe a little lack luster but they made up for it 10 fold with the cocktails. Staff was super attentive, nice, and quick. We will for sure return!
Great spot for home office working... then turning that long work day into cocktail hour. Well crafted drinks and always a good time.
A great contemporary atmosphere playing a diverse amount music, LP records on the night I was there. They have a good selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and espresso based beverages. I had to wait for a seat, was passed up twice by groups that arrived after me, and was seated at a bar with stools that were too low. My server was polite and friendly, but it seemed the over all service was average. The music was a but too loud for my liking, but other guests seemed to be tolerating it.
The “Dalgona Whipped Coffee” is AMAZINGGG!
Great drinks and I loved the outdoor seating area. Felt a bit rushed to leave after finishing drinks.
GREAT cocktails. Nice vibe and good back area. Great chill Cap Hill spot.
Excellent place! And theyve set up a nice, big, outside seating area, so you can enjoy it safely. Its great to see our favorite local places creatively getting through this!
Hard to go wrong. Ive stopped in a few times for their morning drink specials (stay at home isnt entirely bad), friendly peeps, and nice plant filled space, with plenty of light. Good pastries too!
Great menu for food and drinks alike; staff is very friendly. Happy Hour fills up fast but their outdoor covered patio makes it easy, especially for groups of 3-6. Their Negroni and espresso martini are both excellent, and the grilled cheese is an easy snack.
Delicious drinks and super tasty baked goods.
Awesome drinks and friendly staff. The music inside is usually very loud, so convos include a little bit of yelling.
Great place to cool off from the heat this summer.
Thoughtful bar menu and relaxed atmosphere
Fantastic date spot, perfect place to meet up with friends, great cocktails, perhaps the best grilled cheese in Denver... what doesn’t this place do!? Never not consider the daily special. I am partial to the Lady Jane and the Old Fashioned #2. Also, killer monthly party on a Sunday called A.M. Rolling. Might be my favorite party in Denver now! Basically, in the two years this place has been around, it has become very near & dear.
Most uncomfortable Ive ever felt. Never offered a menu. Stopped at the door and made to order there. Just not a place Id come back to.
Amazing chai and croissant with butter and jam
Wonderful cocktail selection. The copycat and the banana stand were my favorites.
Cat the new bar manager is such a delight to discuss whiskey and italian drinks . Lovely and perky atmosphere with a huge attention to delicious drinks. Lavender drink was on point!!
Great coffee, cocktails, & bites in a super beautiful location with lovely, friendly staff!
Super cool place for coffee and cocktails. The staff was amazing.
Excellent coffee! They dont take cash, but thats not such a big deal.
Drinks, food, and service were all stellarI had a drink with lavender and vodka (cant remember the name) and it was flowery and deliciousI also had the toast plate which was more food than I thought it would be and was warm, crunchy, and also somehow softWill definitely be back
Good drinks. Extremely rude servers.
I like this place. My cortado was good, very bold coffee flavor with a nice creaminess. Id suggest it was just a little over-extracted, but not terribly so. (Im still of a strong opinion that the third wave Denver coffee scene would do so much better with a grass-fed, heavy milk-solids, baristas milk for espresso beverages.)The location is great although parking can be difficult. Inside is warm with gracious hosts and service.Ive heard great things about cocktails here, so will be back to try.
Great food!!Prices even better !!
I love Hudson Hill. Theres no crazy line like at Jelly, and the pastries, coffees and teas are delicious. I also enjoy their cocktails. They have such an interesting menu. The staff are also super sweet.
Very pretentious place, would have gotten better service at the grocery store.
Really enjoyed this space, great place to stop by for a drink. However our server was rude and acted very pretentious towards us. Was a shame and ended up canceling the last order
They have a back patio. It is LIT! But not with like lights, its just really cool. And the staff is super friendly and accommodated a very goofy table of friends. We had a very fun brunch thanks to our waiter, and the other guy!
Went here to enjoy a drink, got sat inside and given water and a menu and that was it. 20 minutes and not one person came by to see if we wanted anything eventhough staff kept walking past us. They seemed to be more concerned with bussing tables and people coming in rather than taking care of guest already sitting down ready to order. The staff needs to put their head on a swivel and pay closer attention to the dining floor. Wont be coming and and wouldnt recommend anyone else comes either unless you like to be ignored. If you do come bring a laptop because those were the only people getting any attention.
Great first date spot
Service was great, the vibe even better. Diverse drink menu.
Such a gem and right on 13th! Just discovered this restaurant a couple days ago and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an energized and inspired atmosphere. The decor is beautiful whether it’s the plants hanging over the bar or quality leather sofas. You can order coffee, pastries, fancy cocktails, and appetizers at basically any time of day. I had the lavender latte which was wonderful!
Yummy drinks and snacks. We had Aaron taking care of us and he brought so much comfort and laughs while we were there working. Thank you so much. Perfect fit for our cute cap hill community. Also shoutout to Coleman! Such a great server. Wrote my review above a while back and I’ve obviously come back. He suggested the best drinks and snacks to have while I was working. I love it here and the service. Thank you.
Perfectly made craft cocktails (even select sours made on my terms). The only bar in Denver Ive seen crack an egg to make a pisco sour instead of squirting egg beaters into the shaker. Best grilled cheese sandwich Ive ever smelled. Highly recommend this place. AND they play real vinyl records. Hudson Hill wins!
My top five choices for a good cocktail in Denver. Happy hour brings an old fashioned down to $7. How? Great prices. Amazing drinks. Plants everywhere. Cute staff to boot.
This is the best cafe I’ve ever been too and Over 8 years of working remote I have been to a lot of cafes. The service is second to none. They are queer-friendly, accepting and empathetic. This cafe is my favorite place to go in town and I highly recommend it.Special notes:- they have great speciality drink creations!- the happy hour is amazing and goes from 4-7 with upper shelf cocktails.- the decor and ambience in this cafe is great.- it is table service which some people love and other dislike. I like it because It’s perfect for meeting with a friend or client and picking up the bill without waiting in line or seeing who arrives first. It’s the best. Go. You won’t regret it.
If Im early enough to work I will often stop in to get coffee. Theyll use their house made cocktail syrups and create a wonderful menu of espresso based drinks. Typically their coffee special is on a sandwich board outside in the morning.
