I brought my daughters car in to get a free estimate a few weeks ago… She had sideswiped a car and broke off her mirror and her gas panel off of an older Acura. The owner went above & beyond, offered to call around to see if he could find used parts, as evidently, Acura mirrors are very expensive! He called me within an hour to report that he found some- ended up saving my daughter $500 in repair costs. In my eyes, that was something he did not *have* to do & it was much appreciated! The car looks fantastic. We will be back when needed!
I moved to Denver last August, and my mechanic was a family friend that was always very good to me. I was worried about finding a mechanic I could trust in another state, as mechanics without personal ties have attempted to dupe me many times before. This was not the case for Robert and his team. They were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and upfront about price and timing of repairs. I brought my 05 Honda CR-V to them back in November for some transmission problems. They gave me my options and were honest about possible outcomes. I appreciated the transparency, as that seems to be rare with a lot of mechanic shops. I now have a new car and will without a doubt be bringing it to them for anything and everything; oil changes, basic maintenance, big repairs. I trust them wholeheartedly and believe that the business they earn is well deserved. 5++++ stars.
Rob and the crew at Sixth Ave Auto have always treated us great. Over the past 5 years they have serviced 2 Audis and a Grand Cherokee. The work has ranged from oil changes, tires swaps and used vehicle inspections to replacing full brake system, exhaust repair, timing belt changes and transmission repair. The work has always been top notch and priced at a fraction of the dealerships. If there has ever been an issue it was taken care of immediately. Great group. Very reliable. Can’t recommend them enough! Customer for life!
I first went to Sixth Ave Auto to get my Audi Q5 3.2 engine checked out. I had already tried a different place off Colfax but after getting stranded with a flooded engine I wanted a fresh set of eyes on the issue. They took it in and very quickly got the car running great. I brought it back and they also got a couple other things fixed for me that I had on my list. Easy and less than I expected! Now they are my go-to place for repairs or oil changes. They are always honest and friendly. I can not recommend them more.
Dominic and Aaron are brilliant mechanics willing to get the job done right the first time. Robert and the front office always good the extra service step. Good honest mechanics are hard to find. These guys work on my bmw my wives Audi as well as my suburban. They do it all, and at a reasonable rate. Thanks for everything guys keep up the great work.
RUN dont walk to this place. Ill make it short and sweet. McDonald Audi wanted to charge me almost 3000.00 for a new catalytic converter. Being a consumer and not a mechanic Im left with having to trust what Im told. I decided to take my A-6 to 6th Avenue Auto instead after a referral from a friend. 475.00 for a valve sensor, the converter was fine. McDonald can blow me a kiss. Robert and his crew are obviously honest, I told him up front what McDonald had told me. In a world that will screw you every chance they get its good to know integrity still exists. Ill be going there from now on. Did I mention the 475.00 INCLUDED a new battery???
Robert and team were I would recommend, it is hard to find great car service company believe me, but these folks will treat you right and are very fair. I recommend them wholeheartedly. Robert is very accountable and wants only the best for his customers!!!
This place is the best. I have had a few unexpected car issues over the last few years and once I get the car over there, the whole situation seems less stressful. They totally understand my Volkswagen and answer all my questions. These are good people with good experience and not only in it for the $$.
Robin and his staff are friendly, honest and do great work at reasonable prices. When you find an auto shop with those features, you never want to lose them. I recommend 6th Ave to anyone who asks for a good mechanic.
I am incredibly grateful for 6th Ave Auto service. They didnt give up on a challenging starting issue, and my vehicle (Volkswagen) is running smoothly again! Great communication, quality service, kindness, and fair pricing. Thank you!
I contacted Sixth Ave. Auto Service to do a pre-purchase inspection. Robert was friendly and responsive, even agreeing to follow the specific inspection protocol that I sent to him.Once the inspection was completed, Robert took lots of time to answer my questions and explain each problem in detail—which was extremely helpful.I cant recommend Sixth Ave. Auto highly enough: professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced.Thank you, Robert and staff! I love my new (to me) truck and am following your guidance re: the needed repairs to bring it up to top condition!
This is the only place I want to take my Subaru. A dealership in town was going to charge me over $3,000.00 for work that was not necessary. These guys are great and treated me like family!!!
Robert and the team at Sixth Avenue Auto literally saved my 1999 Toyota 4 Runner. Another mechanic in town (closer to where I live) had told me the engine was shot and to just go buy another car. I brought the used car I intended to buy to Robert at Sixth Avenue Auto, and they looked it over and showed me all the rust problems it had. I decided not to buy it.We then got to talking about my 1999 4 Runner and he told me to bring it in to them for a second opinion: it turned out to be a straightforward fix and they saved my beloved 4 Runner. You can trust Robert and the mechanics at Sixth Avenue and they do great work! I highly recommend taking your car to them.
These guys are awesome! I’d taken my Jeep to another shop but after several months of dealing with the same problem (that was “fixed”) I was frustrated. I took my car in and they found the problem and fixed it on the first visit. It’s comforting knowing that I can trust a mechanic again. I won’t take my Jeep anywhere else.I definitely recommend them.
These guys are great! I first took my Audi to Addison Auto where I was told I needed to replace the turbo. I then went to Sixth Ave to get a second opinion because they are close and I have had good luck with them in the past. They found the problem to be a faulty valve cover and fixed the issues I was having for a fraction of the price. If you ever need good quality work done right the first time, be sure to check them out!
I had a great experience here. Very kind guys. I needed help with a flat and the spare was stuck...awesome geltleman helped me without charge. Changed my tire completely. If i ever have issues with my car ill be going here. Thanks again so much!!!
The entire team here at 6th ave. are not only very knowledgeable with various makes and models of cars, but they do great work at a very reasonable cost. For example, I have a BMW 7 series. I needed a radiator hose replacement. BMW of course wanted a ridiculous amount in addition to handing over my first born :) Robert and his team at 6th Ave. did it quickly and for $125.00 cheaper than BMW would have charged, and I got to keep my first born !! :) Thanks so much guys, I will not hesitate to bring my wifes Lexus in whenever it needs attention!! Keep up the great work!Kindly,Tom N.
I recommend this guy. I trust my car to him as well. Great customer service and prices. Too bad they dont open on Saturdays or Sundays
Great place with knowledgeable staff. Called in the morning and had car back in the late afternoon. Thanks for great first experience.
As always.. great service and done quickly. Rob is a great guy who always explains things in a way you can understand.
Super class A service provider. Communication was great and they got the work done in a timely fashion for a super fair price. I couldnt be happier and I fully intend to come back.
I have tried a number of other locations for service on our Audis but none is as reputable as Sixth Avenue Auto Service. The owner Robert, and their primary technician Dominic, are outstanding. I have been using them for a number of years for service on multiple early edition Allroads and an A7. Major items that they have taking care of: Clutch replacement, electronic diagnostics and repair, air suspension (front / rear and compressor,) timing belt replacement, brakes (front / rear), cooling fan blade replacement, motor mounts, front suspension (upper / lower control arms), just to name a few. You would think I was putting their kids through school however; their rates and hours are very competitive.Of all the work I have had done - none of it was based on a Sixth Avenue Auto Service warranty or defective workmanship.I love my cars and these guys love to work on them to keep them safe, reliable, and within a budget. Huge fan! Thanks Guys.jpl
I talked with Rob on the phone and he helped me through getting my re-manufactured engine delivered to their shop and on my way. Great group of people, very friendly and easy going. Going forward I will use this shop for auto repairs.
Rob and his guys did an amazing job with my vehicle. Great work for a good price. I really appreciate them getting my Ford Explorer sport trac back into driving condition.
The service was great and the prices were as well. Highly recommended. Robert and his team are the best I have found.
I took my car in because it was leaking transmission fluid. Took it in at 8am on a Thursday, didnt hear a word all day so I called at 4:45pm, only to find out they hadnt even gotten started. Was quoted at almost $700 and told it would be done the next day by end of day. No word all day and when I called around 5 they still hadnt touched it, saying their parts were late due to weather. This was all fine except I didnt even get a call about it, which leads me to think they just wanted me to stay uninformed (therefore, leaving the car there to be fixed by them rather than taking it somewhere else). We picked it up the next morning and took it somewhere else where I received the same service for $500 and it took one day.
Trust is priceless, and these guys earned it. Took my jeep to them for routine maintenance, including a transmission fluid change. Got it back and it was shifting poorly and making some odd noise. I looked at the invoice and noticed they had charged me for an older type of transmission fluid. My jeep has the new 8-speed tranny that requires a somewhat uncommon new fluid type. I called and left them a message after close - with the fear that they would probably deny any mistake and leave me with a broken transmission. To my great relief Robert called the next morning and fully admitted the mistake and promised to take care of it even if they had to buy a brand new transmission. And they made good on that promise. They paid 100% of the cost of a rental car while they flushed the fluid out four times and returned it to perfect working order. The experience was certainly stressful and inconvenient, but as Robert likes to point out - everyone makes mistakes - its how you handle them that counts.
Brought my Audi in for a 50,000 mile check-up. Service was quick, affordable and they fixed a couple of the small issues my car was having. Will definitely be back in the future.
Weve been bringing our 00 VW to this shop for three years now and were still satisfied with the service. Their reception desk is friendly, they answer our questions honestly, and have a reasonable wait time for repairs. Added bonus, theres a coffee shop less than a block away. The only change I might like to see is an option to apply diagnostic charges toward the total repair cost. Nonetheless, were happy with 6th Avenue Auto and will continue to come here.
They have saved me tons of money! I have gone there several times with problems that I thought were going to be expensive. They diagnosed and fixed the problems without any trouble and were extremely honest. I would recommend anyone with an Audi or VW go there. There is a reason that they get great reviews...they are that good.
I completely recommend 6th Ave Auto. I had a short list of things going on with my car and it was fixed in a very reasonable amount of time and for and a lot less than the dealership or a chain auto garage
I called all around town today to find a mechanic who could fit me in today to look at my 2011 jeep. Not only were they busy they were happy to squeeze me in. Great customer service! Thank you all very much!
Made me pay extra because THEY broke a couple bolts in the engine that they had to extract and went way over our agreed upon amount to put on my serpentine belt bracket. They raped me hard with no lube. And they tried charging me 380 dollars to change my fuel pump. If u wanna get screwed, definitely go here.
Very honest people. A $150 mistake was made in MY FAVOR, which I would never have known about, and they simply told me about it, and charged me LESS. Very rare this day in age. Recommended.
This is an incredible automotive serviceFair, explained and called me for the ok to continue there work. Gave me Faith.
Great guys that do great work, honest and fair. I wont take my car anywhere else!
Great service robbert was very helpful, Took the Jeep in to take care of some car problems, they were very fast to get my jeep back to me.
I begin taking my Suburu Outback to 6th Ave. Auto in 2011. Theyve offered me reliable and timeless service ever since. Robert, Dominic and Aaron have always given me information and service that I have found I can trust.Theyve always stood behind their work and have gone out of their way to make sure my vehicle is safe and well maintained. I highly recommend this place!Gruffie Clough
Long story short, I needed a pretty big repair done on my vehicle. Everyone at 6th Ave. have been nothing short of amazing. From taking the time to truly look and diagnose what the real problem was, to keeping me updated with calls the whole way. They got my car in and fixed in an incredibly reasonable time frame, when other mechanic shops in town told me they couldnt figure it out. Everyone I interacted with couldnt have been more helpful, and understanding of my needs, all while making it as pleasant as it could be. (We all hate dealing with car repairs) Most of all, they never once treated me differently or made me feel inferior because Im a woman as previous experiences with other places had. My daughter even said we have to bring them a piece of pizza to thank them! :) Thank you SO much 6th Ave! I will be telling everyone I know, and even people I dont know, that they need to do business with these guys...you know, just if they want trustworthy, reliable work done on their vehicles. Youve gained a customer for life guys! Thanks again.
Im not quite sure about this place.Ive brought my Audi A4 into their shop several times for many different issues. This is the 2nd time that Ive had to bring it back after they had done service on it. First they put in a bad spark plug, and this time they put in a bad relay. Im not sure if its their equipment is to blame or the work or whatever. Im not sure if im going to keep bringing my car here because it seems it always takes double the time because they dont do it right the first time.
These guys really know what theyre doing and Rob really cares about his customers. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to my friends.
These guys are legit. Easy to communicate with and have fair prices.
After having one of my vacuum hoses replaced on my Volvo 940 over the weekend I was furious when my steering system gave me trouble on my way to work today. I was afraid that no one would be able to look at it since I didnt book an appointment until my lunch break, which was at 1 PM. Nonetheless, Robin went out of his way to squeeze me in and promised to at least look at my car before the day was over. He even drove me back to work!!!If I was Robins boss and if I wasnt paid a teachers salary, Id give this man a raise.
Great customer service
