My tires had not been balanced they put on for me. I went and had it checked at another place,so I would not have to wait long or get an appointment for this. They are definitely balanced now,no more vibrating when driving my car. All other work that was done is good.

No stars for these guys. They were super nice to chat. However, they only put 5 quarts of oil in a truck that takes 7 quarts. Its been performing poorly and started making a concerning ticking noise right after the oil change. Decided to change the oil again shortly after because that seemed like the correlating factor for when the issues started. Only 5 quarts of oil came out. Cmon guys, thats inexcusable negligence. And expensive for me to repair. Would not recommend trusting these folks with your vehicle. Especially not a vehicle that takes more than the standard 5 quarts for a sedan, such as a full size pickup truck. I could have excused a 6 quart mistake, but not 5. I dont usually leave reviews, but I want to prevent this from happening to someone else. Expected better.Follow up: I appreciate that you as management are willing to try to correct the issue. I took my truck there in June of this year (2021), so if the crew has changed since then, I acknowledge things could be much different at that location now. I will not be returning despite the effort on your part and hope you have a better crew in place now. Best wishes for future good work for customers.
Buyer beware, we had these guys fix the AC on one of my service vans. Keep in mind the materials for the work is still under the warranty but their estimate to fix it again came back over the original invoice!!When brought to their attention explained the original invoice did not have all the labor for all the parts and they handed back the keys and welcomed my service manager to leave.Rude, very rude. They have lost a customer who spends 15-20K a year on vehicle repairs annually.
If you have a sign that says customer and employee must wear a mask. Dont be a hypocrite. I wear my mask all the time, but the employee said something to a customer who didnt have a mask on, but the employee didnt have on a mask. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE..!!
Been Pepboys rewards member for years. Recently moved to Denton area and tried this location for the first time for oil change on two vehicles. I was always offered rewards member discount for full synthetic oil change at around $60. This time around, John Akins, the service manager charges me $89 per vehicle. I asked if my rewards member discount has been applied. He said yes, whatever was on my account has been applied in a very demeaning and vexed voice, and was very quick to shift his attention to his colleague to chat. I regained his attention by saying I was charged around $60 for oil change in all my previous visits because I am a rewards club member. John Akins said AGAIN, you gave us your phone number and what was on your account has been applied in even more demeaning and vexed voice. DISGUSTING service from their service manager. Shame on you Pepboys for leaving a person with such apalling service as your service manager!

Spent almost $800 in services at this location,we purchased tires and other services. Couple months later we needed the road hazard on one of out tires and was told there is only a 90 warranty on that.so found out they put the wrong size tires on our vehicle.Service manager John said ohh its fine we do it all the time ....thats wrong ....had to get corporate involved to get it corrected. Service manager is very rude and unprofessional......from now on we will be going to Discount Tire where they will do the right thing and own up to their mistakes. ..,....WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND AVOIDING THIS STORE!
I am a college student that moved out to Denton on my own a few months ago and of course my AC went out, my alignment needed aligning, my cabin filters needed changed.... the whole shebang. They were honest with me about what I needed, the prices, and even gave me updates on what they do for me. I really appreciated their honesty after being upcharged by another car service place (wont name them). Oh! And to top it all off, they let me charge my dead phone so I could transfer money to pay for the services. The amount of grace and patience they give is phenomenal. Thank you
These guys are the best. Some repairs do cost but thats with anything of course. They didnt tell me I needed something I didnt and were straightforward with me and I respect that. I had the issue before and the problem wasnt repaired correctly so it cost me more down the road once I reached pepboys but its important to find the boys that will do it right and I have! Thank you
I have to say everyone in the service department and the store at this Pep Boys was amazing this Sunday feltmorning. I did have an appointment first thing that morning but they were also already booked up but they got me in and took great care of me. I never felt at anytime that they were trying to take advantage of me. They showed me everything they were doing and gave me prices before they did it.

A year ago if you asked me to review this place it would have been 5 stars, today it is now 1 star and if I could have I would have done ZERO. Two weeks ago I got my brakes replaced, they did not tell me which ones, that is my fault that I did not ask. However, ever since they were replaced my car has been nonstop squeaking. I made an appointment and when I showed up the wait was 2 hour longs. Why make an appointment for a time if you cant even have it then. I decided to reschedule for a different day for 1pm. I showed up early to make sure the wait wasnt too long.. and they told me it wold take and HOUR or HOUR and a half before my car could even be looked at. I decided to come back an hour later and my car was taken in. They looked at my back brakes, and told me everything is okay, and test drive my car. They told me there was no squeaking sound and I could leave. Being pleased I drove away, and then got the same sounds again! I called back and they told me I had to make another appointment or change the back brakes. I was furious. They wanted me to change my back brakes instead of maybe checking if the front ones were wrong considering the sound started when they replaced them. I decided to come back considering it was only 10 minutes later for them to fix the problem they clearly did not fix. In total I have been waiting for over two hours for them to check the brakes and why they are making a sound. I will never be doing back here again, and its a shame because this was my favorite bodyshop. I rather go to Hyundai and pay more but have better service.
From personal experience, I’ve always been very fond of this pep boys, they’ve always been quick with whatever work I’ve needed, always very friendly and professional, they tried their hardest to give me the best price available. I would 100% recommend this cute little shop!

The worst place and customer service...I went in on a sunday to get me inspection done...the young lady tells me that there was a car with a shocks job ahead of me and it was going to be an 1 - 1 1/2 wait..I just drove 2 1/2hrs from Oklahoma...I said no problem Ill wait...i get a text from pep boys saying me expected time was 5pm when my car will be ready...now its going on 2hrs later n still nothing...so I ask the young lady how much longer...now I have three cars ahead me, one mechanic, one tire guy that cant do inspection and I mention the message I got n she says thats why we dont take walk in/waiting customer...while waiting she turned away a least 3 customer ..talking about the wait time would be over 3 hrs...plus she was coughing so much without a mask...I was so uncomfortable n mad by this time...so I went up the road to Firestone and was in n out in less then 45mins...Thank you Firestone

Traveling in Texas from Cali... Had a flat tire on the freeway in Denton County. Took tire to Pep Boys in Denton to have it fixed. They removed all my luggage to put the spare tire back where it goes, thank you🙏🏼Everyone was very efficient, helpful, professional, and kind. Great service. NO INSTORE SHOPPING AFTER I DROVE ALL THE WAY THERE! UPDATE GOOGLE!!!!!Reply to response... its pretty simple really. You need to make sure your current operations reflect that of which is indicated when searched online. This location states it is open for retail shopping when presented in Google search results. Ive personally witnessed many businesses keep their search results correct and up to date regarding their status during this mess were all dealing with... IE... temporarily closed, 25% capacity, curbside pickup, etc. I appreciate the quick response to this review so Ill bump it up to two stars.

No more car troubles and at an affordable price, too! I felt comfortable the whole time and Samuel explained everything to me so that I understood what they had to fix and why. My husband just brought my car for a full synthetic oil change, tire rotation and a couple other issues I needed addressed. Daniel was super friendly and helpful, easily quoted me an estimate over the phone, and even told us to go on their website for a $20 discount. He helped explain things thoroughly to my husband and did a great job helping us make sure our car was well adjusted and highway-worthy. Definitely recommend.

This place is a scam, dont go! I had a simple nail in my tire, the guy told me to come back after two hours while they fix it before even looking at the tire. I got a call from them that I need a new tire and it would cost me over 200$. I asked if it was the same tire I had bought from them previously for a cheaper price, he said no. But when I told him I had a road hazard insurance through Pepboys, he said suddenly said he had a tire he could put on but he didnt know how to do it in the system. He ran the tire through the insurance, and It was still a higher price I had paid for the same tire previously. I decided to walk out without fixing it and go elsewhere, but the response was that I couldnt leave. A manager was around, who lowered the price to half, still wasn’t worth it! There is always a hassle at this shop, never had a good experience

Zero Stars. This was the last chance for PepBoys to make my purchase right. Failed. Made an appointment to have the tires we bought, rotated. They didnt have the appt. I made from the day before and said the tire guy didnt show to work (Gary said that before, when I spoke with him)I will never go to this company again, even if I have no other options. Just hit a pothole headed south on I35. Blew hole in side of tire. Got to Pep Boys 5 minutes before closing. 15 minutes later we were out the door with a brand new tire. The guys were phenomenal---- friendly, efficient, great sense of humor!! Would highly recommend the Pep Boys on Dallas Dr., Denton.

Im a loyal Pep Boys customer and have been coming to this location for 2 years now. They have always taken great care of me and always give me a discount, even if I didnt have a coupon on hand.They have never tried to upsell me or recommend some expensive flush or upgrade when all I really need is an oil change. If theyve ever found anything of concern (only once), they thoroughly explained the issue and the why and how of the repair. They always try to save me money if they can.I really appreciate that I can schedule an appointment online (except for State Inspections). It has saved me a lot of time in the past. I also feel like their wheel alignment warranties are life savers. With all the construction in the area, my wheels have been knocked out of alignment multiple times and I only had to pay once thanks to my warranty!Overall, they are friendly, helpful, and professional and really seem to care. So glad I started coming here!
Brought my car to this shop to get a suspension repair job completed. The service manager is a really great guy as well as the service representatives. Very honest and professional. This is a rare find these days. I will definitely return again for any service I cannot handle myself.
I had a very bad experience awhile ago. I was totally taken advantage of and was charged way too much for services I didnt need. Luckily I was able to get my money back. I went back again bc my friend told me to give that place another chance due to new staff. I went back for some new tires and I was impressed. Samuel took really great care of me. Worst group of technicians in DFW. Illegally rotated my tires against my will when I had a tire replaced. Have stripped the oil pan of another car I brought in for service. Consistently behind schedule and make their own decisions regarding safety. DO NOT TRUST these savage racketeering wanna be technicians. They all deserve to find find new jobs, and not in the automotive industry.
Terrible experience.First off the coupon they have for brake service is BS, they will find a way to upsell.They did the work and there was a terrible shudder when braking. Took it back and they said they damaged a part during the process and that i would have to pay for it! I had already been there two hours (even though i had an appointment) so i just said fine because he said it would only be $40. Little did I know he meant per wheel!So dishonest.Will never be going back.

Went in for an oil change. Was asked if I had an appointment? Since when do you need an appointment for an oil change? The guy then rudely told me he couldn’t fit me in for the next three hours. Been here three times and each time was a hassle. Prices might be cheaper but my advice is to pay a little bit extra and enjoy some better customer service.

My front tire was making a scraping noise after my dad had replaced my brakepads so I went in to see what was wrong. Sam quickly fixed the minor problem (a bent dust cover) and sent me on my way in less than 10 minutes! Awesome service!

Horrible services! I purchased four new tires, back breaks, and alignment on daughter car and the following week we needed assistance. The managers treated my daughter like a flea. Told her if she did not have a receipt they could not assist her. Never offered additional options to look up receipt. More happened but I dont have the time to elaborate. I will contact corporate and give a clear statement of the event.
Initial impression of this location was above average. I had to come in on a Sunday due to my vehicle not starting randomly one morning. I had a few problems with the vehicle prior to bringing it in, although nothing major that was of great concern. A couple things needed were a new battery, a new O2 sensor, and a valve cover gasket to be replaced. This all cost me just under $1,000. The car was fixed and within a day I had my vehicle back with all check engine lights off, thinking everything was fixed. Days later, I noticed a large dark spot in my driveway, but didnt think much of it and figured it was from older oil leaks in the past. Then, about half a week after receiving the car back, the check engine light came on. Thinking it was odd that it had only been a few days, I tried to take it back to pep boys, but was told if it had nothing to do with the original reason it was brought in, I would have to pay $89 for an inspection fee. Not wanting to do that, I drove it to OReillys and had someone check the engine for free. Their device showed it was the engine thermostat. Luckily I did not allow pep boys to check it or I would have had to pay the extra fee. The very next day, I drove over an hour away needing to meet with a client, and noticed my engine was starting to overheat. Not knowing if this was a thermostat malfunction or an actual problem, I popped open the hood once I got to the location. To my surprise, there was oil everywhere. All over the engine, in all crevices, and even on the underside of the hood. I then checked and realized I had absolutely no oil in my vehicle. I had to bring it back in and since this was not connected to the previous reason I brought it in (hard to believe that just a few days after they replace the head cover gasket, oil everywhere is not connected at all) this problem was not covered under warranty, and therefore I had to pay another almost $300 to replace the crackshaft seal. This process of replacing the crackshaft seal would take a total of 4 days after I was originally told it would only take a few hours, and I was the one who had to call them and ask if I was done rather than receiving a phone call from them. Terrible customer service, and I was receiving different stories from every person I spoke to on the phone about the problems of the vehicle, and the times it would take for it to be done. After getting this piece replaced, I noticed again in my driveway that there was an oil leak occurring. After taking it back a third time (only because it was under warranty with them), I was told looks like this is only a problem that a dealership can fix. I would reach out to a Chevy dealership and see if they can take care of it. So $1,300 and two weeks later, I still am having problems with my car. Would not recommend anyone to visit this Pep Boys location unless you urgently need something fixed on a Sunday and there is no other repair location available in the area.
Daniel the manager is so unprofessional. He called threatening me after I called corporate about his attitude and manner towards us as customers. Saying he was closing the complaint because the claims I made were false, which is untrue. This location is so unprofessional and I would NEVER let this guy run any of my business more the less work at any business I owned. Poor leadership, poor customer service and such poor management.
A couple of weeks I went in requesting a oil change. At the time, I was told that it was only going to take an hour due to other appointments ahead of me. Which was expected since I was a walk in. I eneded up staying there for two hours. I thanked them and left. They did not request a payment from me of any sort. A couple days later I realized that I needed a recepit for my records. I tried to get into contact with customer service to receive one. I hadnt had time to give the store a call. Last night I checked my oil becuase my car was making a ticking sound. Come to find out, they only replaced my sticker and not my oil. I advise anyone who is reading this is to go to another store to receive an oil change. Communication is not the strongest suit for this store.
So checked around and it seems Firestone tries to corner marker while I was looking for a lifetime wheel alignment, every place about the same $179.99, but just a little more research and BOOM! Pep boys offers right now a $30 off coupon, and there availability was very open compared to other places. And they jumped on it ASAP. Great job Pep boys for taking care of business and youre new loyal customers.
I am so thankful for Andrew over at this shop. I came in very late and needed a battery change before the next morning, but the regular mechanics weren’t going to be able to get to me before they closed. As I’m standing there trying to figure out how my wife and I would be getting to work the following morning, Andrew comes over and asks me if he can take a look at the car. I bring him out to it, and he says “Ok just bring your car around to the front, I’ll help you change it out myself.” He helped me change it out quickly and efficiently, and was super friendly throughout it all. This is the kind of service that gives me hope for humanity.

The Diagnostics was $89 for a check engine light. I thought it was kind of ridiculous. When they found out that it was just a loose gas cap. Theyre very good mechanics there I believe. But when you find out that its just a loose gas cap and you charge somebody $89 thats kind of over the top. I will take my car back there because its convenient. But I will check my cars gas cap before I go next time. I rent my cars on turo and the last customer that filled up the car left the gas cap loose. I had no idea and it cost me. I guess you have to do business but $89? Really? Kind of steep.
Ive been to this pep boys multiple times with different vehicles and theyve always gone above and beyond .I took my Jeep to get a trailor hitch installed. I asked them if theyd be able to install the ball mount and ball as well if I bought those from them. They originally said no but then ended up doing it anyway.Always great customer service .
Untrustworthy company!Went to get a bulb for a faulty taillight. Not only did they get the type of bulb wrong, when I returned, well within the 90 day return period, they would not honor the return. The retail side had closed by then and the service side would not process the return. Told me I could drive an hour and return it to the closest store with retail. Thats bull$hit. The company should have made arrangements to accept returns within 90 days of closing the retail side.
Over Easter weekend the worst thing could have happened to my wife and I. We traveled from San Antonio to visit family and my car stalled, wouldnt turn over at all. I knew nothing would be open on the weekend. We were horrified. We hopped on our phones, googled the closest auto shop and there was Pep Boys! still open late Saturday. I called and I wish I knew his name, maybe Gary? gave me instructions on how to get towed to their shop and would be open EASTER SUNDAY 10A-5P YALL. We got towed successfully that night. We called at 1015a the next morning and Samuel answered said he was already working us in and was about to call. They managed to find out what was wrong and would able to fix it, this was around 1p. It was our starter. Samuel AKA Sam the Man called about 415p to tell us the car was ready. We Uberd and got there about 5 minutes to close. We paid up and left straight back home to San Antonio. Sorry for the long story but, one of the scariest feelings is being so far from home and NO car. It was relieving being in contact with someone who knew their stuff and took care of us so promptly. We are thankful for Pep Boys being open on Easter Sunday and getting us back home to our family safely. 5 thousand stars and a big thanks to Sam the Man!! Definite recommendation for this location as well.***UPDATE*** I just called on the starter for my car since it completely burned up last week and stalled my car, it was inoperable for the last week. Once I got several opinions on the issue, I finally found out what it was. So, I called Pep boys and spoke to Daniel who told me he was the manager of the auto shop area. I told him all the awful details of the issue. I gave him 2 phone numbers it could have been under, and my name but he could not find an account or any record of work done on my car. I gave my vin # however, he then acted like there was a bad phone connection. He went on for several minutes like that. Until I gave my wife the phone and all of a sudden he spoke to and heard her just fine. He still advised us to come in to help, but, bad customer service seems to be hit or miss. Will contact corporate ourselves and get to the bottom of it.

My experience at this shop was horrible on 12/24/2018 and I have therefore vowed not to venture there again in my life.I went there for oil change and the guy who serviced my car spilled oil all over the compactment and also failed to put the next service sticker on the windshield.These are common mistakes I experienced there.I think there are more room for improvement. Guys always take great care of peoples investment when they come to your shop for services, after all we pay for them they are not for free.Thank you.

Im not at all picky with auto repair places, but the entire experience here was just terrible. The front desk is incredibly hard to talk to, they are wreckless with the cars they drive in, charged more than the coupons price, and then gave me a price estimate, I took it, and they called me and said they misquoted and wanted $800+ more money for the repair and then lost my key so I had to wait a day to get my car back. I highly recommend avoiding this place.
I had an awesome experience at this location. The area Manager J.J. had asked me to give Pep Boys another chance at a different location because I had a bad experience at one of his other locations. This is the place I shouldve went to from the start. The gentleman who assisted me made very good conversation with me from the start. Today was his birthday so on his birthday he offered my daughter and I cookies, water, and gatorade. He let me know what was going on with my vehicle. The wait was long but not as long as I expected. Great people, great service. I will be coming back. Thanks again J.J. for reaching out to me and for making customers matter.

Went in to purchase a sunshade today for my new car, and was met with fantastic customer service! Shout out to Edith for pointing out that some of the sunshades were on sale. Definitely will return for future automative needs.
Its been 2 weeks and Im still waiting for them to replace something they broke on my car. The tried once and couldnt get it to work. They are supposed to be ordering me a different part for me its been a few days and I havent heard back.
Called in to ask how much to remove my old trailer hitch. Told me $50 should cover it, but didnt want to guarantee the amount until he could see how difficult it would be. I drove it in, took about 15 minutes and he came back and told me Merry Christmas and have a nice day. He handed me back my keys and said no charge. RESPECT!
Good services, very friendlyUpdate ! i got strut replace and alignment for my wife car .alignment was bad, and i came back for warranty, they did it again and when i drive home, i feel it more bad, waste time, money . Have to drive to the dealer for alignment again.I thought, this Pep Boys is good on regular services like replace parts, oil change... but some job really need good tech, they are not doing well.
Pretty good place. They screwed up my order and gave me the wrong brake rotors but made it up to me, so I could stay made at them. Services are over priced but quality of work is good.
Samuel is horrible. At least offer to come and look at the car or offer to check the check engine light. Horrible service.
I dont recommend this place at all.They broke my car ABS while working on the car, took them 4 days to get replacement.My car was vibrating on the high way, they recommend to change all tires so we bought 4 new tires and got an alignment but that didnt solve any problem.They charged me for balancing the tires, but they never did it, had to go back there to talk to them.The whole experience with this store was bad.
