I had such a great experience at this dealership. I was traveling for work when a service light appeared on my dashboard. I stopped at a different Volvo dealership along my route during the morning part of my drive and they were unable to help me. An hour into my trip I remembered I would also be driving by Gunther Volvo on my route so I called and their service department said they would take walk-ins. They were able to resolve the light on my dashboard with a software update and a new battery and I was on my way within an hour or so and made it to my work appointment in time still! The staff and mechanics were friendly and attentive and made sure everything was resolved before I got back on the road.Bonus-they washed and vacuumed my car too! I had a clean, beautiful car to drive for the rest of my trip.
Beware, they are overcharging to register your vehicle and keeping the money. The Volusia County Tax Collector charged $76 for my registration, Gunther charged me $200 and is refusing to refund the difference. The finance guy, Andrew, even physically threatened me.Also, when I bought the car Volvo had a 1.99% interest rate, but instead the finance person tried to go through TD Bank at a higher rate (the dealer gets kickbacks from them); when I questioned it, he said he wasn’t aware of Volvo’s specials and would have to find out about it. Well, I got the lower rate through Volvo. These people are crooks and try every way they can to rip you off - how sad.

Financing staff tried to sell me a bunch of different warranty options when they were already attached to my vehicle (Volvo warranty, tire company original equipment warranty and Protection Package that was one of the add one options on the vehicle I purchased). And they were very demanding, even a bit rude. I’m sure Volvo makes them do this but it was a bunch of very unnecessary fees that most people would be scared into buying that are not cheap. And how did they not know about the option that was already part of this vehicle purchase. Regardless, so far I’m loving my Volvo.

We had a hitch installed in a new car and paid a lot to have it done through dealership. We towed a very small trailer and it misaligned the bumper. When we brought it in to say something is wrong we were made to feel as though it was us and we somehow damaged the bumper. Since my husband and I are always together and only one who drive car we know we did not have an accident despite basically being called liars. Now I am stuck paying a lot of money to fix a bumper that we know was damaged due to the poor job of adding the hitch. Very very unhappy!!

I absolutely loved everything about this place. I wanted to buy a different car at the beginning but Eddie made me change my mind. He was absolutely amazing and was with us all along the way. Outstanding! I was at my wits end trying to get my car in for a potential warranty item that left me unable to safely drive my car. I was three weeks in and many, many frustrating phone calls into dealerships and Volvo USA.Orlando and Jacksonville were both backed up until October and neither offered any resolution or recommendation. Ocala had one, part-time technician who was on vacation for a week and this I found out after my car sat with them for 3 days. They didn’t have any loaners so I was affording a rental car out of pocket.When Volvo USA suggested I reach out to Gunther Volvo in Daytona it was my first time hearing of them and I had little to no expectation it would go any different. I was wrong! From the moment I called in and spoke to Kevin I could tell this place was not under the same stress as the other dealerships. Kevin was calm, cool, and courteous when he told me they’d essentially be able to see my vehicle the same day I brought it in. I had the vehicle towed in from Gainesville late Wednesday afternoon and by Thursday afternoon Kevin called to say the car was good to go. We were also able to address another less pressing repair and by Friday evening my car was back in route to me. Joan was polite and professional every time I called in and when the wrong tow company (unbeknownst to her) arrived, she had the intuition to call simply to inform me the truck had arrived. In fact, she diverted the wrong company from receiving the vehicle. On point!I can’t speak highly enough about my experience and when I say they’re outstanding I mean it quite literally. They alone did what none of the other dealerships came close to doing. They resolved what had dragged out more than two weeks in under two days. I will be driving over 100 miles to have them service my vehicle in the future and it will be well worth having the reassurance I’m in good, trustworthy hands. Thank you!

Came into the store to inquire about an XC40. They did not have the one I viewed online but found a near match at another store. Got to Daytona in one day and installed my hitch and had it ready to go the next day. Their customer service and the time it takes is outstanding. I made a mistake and came to my port in on Friday but it was supposed to be on Thursday and they still fit me in and get me in and out in under an hour. I purchased three vehicles from this particular dealership just because of the customer service.
When I walked into the showroom, I wasn’t bombarded with annoying questions or felt like a meal for a shark!! C’mon, y’all KNOW what I’m talking about!! Rather, I approached them when I was ready. I test drove the car and felt very comfortable with the sales rep (Hunter). While I waited for the car, I had a delightful conversation with the manager. It felt like we were old friends! I returned the following day to hear more about the teacher incentives and, with my hubby’s consent, leased the car that day!

Worst experience ever in a car dealership and financial manager treatment. Sunday August 1st I went to buy a 2018 Subaru Forester on sale at the Gunther VW dealership . My credit union gave me a great percentage rate and term on a loan for the vehicle but my approval letter was with a typo of date of effectiveness. I drove 3 hours to see that car an buy it and the sales manager honor me the approve letter and to let my credit union to correct the mistake and send the buyout check to the dealership. This was Sunday, Monday morning I went to the credit union and they took the mistake and start the paperwork to buy the car from Gunther VW . The financial manager (Patric) don’t know his las name because his unprofessionalism was to the point that didn’t have a business card . Put me to sign some paperwork that if I didn’t have a check by Monday they will put me on a new lender on a different rate that I didn’t agree on . My credit union branch manager send an email with the check image and request an address to send the check and this Patric individual hang the phone to delay my payment and to proceed to have me on a lending company of his preferences. Something that is illegal. My credit union have the check in hand to buy them out my wife’s vehicle and this people don’t make the due diligence to respond a simple call and make this right. I work for Hillsborough County and I endorse not to make business with this dealership or to deal with this Patric individual.

We bought a Volvo. Nice reliable car. The sales Department pressured us to finance the car, even when I told them we had cash.They insisted on asking me questions about my finances, which I refuse to answer. Then they applied pressure again to get a” maintenance agreement”. I resisted this but my wife succumbed to the pressure. It was over $3000. Two years have passed and we have not used it. Except today my wife brought the car in for an oil change, and I assumed some kind of inspection, or minimal repairs, due to the coverage. But not much inspection, according to my wife, and they charged us $100 for an oil change. Maintenance agreement a complete waste of money for us.

We had a great experience in an emergency situation at Gunther Volvo. We are traveling with a small pull behind trailer and somehow cracked a rim during our trip. After 2 consecutive tire pressure alerts we resorted to a tire repair store. There we were informed of the cracked rim.We proceeded 30 minutes up the road to Gunther. They found a solution for us that solved the problem expeditiously. New rims and tires all around for about the same cost of one rim. The replacement rim was an expensive upgrade (special order) and they happened to have a full set of tires and rims that met the vehicle specs. Problem solved and we were on the road in about 2hrs.Thanks to Jenn and all the folks at Gunther that made it happen.
My salesman Chase was very thorough in explaining the enhancements of the car I was interested in purchasing. Of high concern was safety features which were pointed out to me. Chase was personable and knowledgeable.
I am very grateful to Volvo for covering the cost of my repairs. What i am unhappy about is being ignored since October 2020 when it was documented by Gunther that I had complained about the problem. Then in February when a computer upgrade which cost $223 was supposed to fix the problem. Then in March when i had the 30,000 mile maintenance done and was told the computer upgrade was still raw. Ig the transmission fluid had been checked on this visit, it should have been recognized that it was milky which would have been a clue. Then in April after another complaint from me, the mechanic rode with me and there was truly a problem. Just because I am a woman does not mean I can not recognize a problem.

Andrew is extremely knowledgeable and was very thorough and attentive in answering all my questions. He worked his magic and I drove away two days later in a gorgeous brand new XC60 that I LOVE at an exceptional price. The process could not have been easier, and Andrew took great care to ensure I knew exactly how to work all the new features, he reconfigured the app for me, filled my new car with gas and was just an absolute joy to work with. Not only is Andrew amazing, but I also had an extraordinary experience with the service team. Kevin the manager also went above and beyond to provide the best customer service. We live 2 1/2 hours away and the lights on our dash came on as we were heading to Margaritaville for 5 days. We called Gunther and they were immediately friendly and helpful. When we arrived Kevin in service took our information and had us in for service within 15 minutes. It ended up being a battery that needed to be replaced and then the software also because of it. Im not even sure where to start! I found a UNICORN on this website and called the dealership immediately to get information. I mean really... this car was too good to be true! They connected me with Andy Park and the rest is history. We went in for a 10k service. My wife got a puncture on the way to the dealership but made it before too much air had escaped. Dealer charged my wife $33 to put on the spare tire for her!!!!!! Will never do business with again.
We purchased our XC60 via the Internet. Our sales person, Eddie Shackleford, was great. He worked with us and his Sales Manager to find us the car we wanted, got us a great deal, and then followed up after the sale with a few We Owes and some missing accessories items, e.g. cargo cover. Eddies easy-going style, personability, and integrity made us feel at ease. If were again in the market for a Volvo, we hope Eddie is still around at Gunther Volvo.

Although I would give Kevin Nevers a absolute five star in his excellent service. Even going as far as to provide me with a discount from the original quoted price for a set of keys. However I still think total of $298 for a set of keys seem to be an outrageous amount of money and represents the very first time I have ever been somewhat disappointed in my favorite Volvo dealer. This morning I told a friend of mine I should be looking at Toyotas. Otherwise all service experiences have been excellent

Im an avid Volvo enthusiast, normally I work on my car myself but reached the limitations of my tools/abilities. Brought my 2007 S40 T5 AWD 6 speed in and they figured out it was my faulty ECM bracket I had constructed directly above the transmission. Had me in and out of there in 1.5h for a pretty reasonable price. Kevin, the service advisor was kind and helped me understand exactly what the problem was. Ive definitely learned a great lesson here about vehicle wiring, and will be bringing my S40 back if I need any dealer maintenance done.

This was the best car buying experience my wife and I have ever had. Tyler (sales person) took our general requirements and our cost objective into consideration and showed us vehicles that met both. Once we decided the one we wanted the dealership folk were very open minded on the cost and we surprisingly came to a happy agreement. Once all this was settled, Tyler again stepped up and spent an additional 30 minutes with us and the car showing my wife how to connect her phone, set her seat and get the car to memorize those, and helped her use the car navigation system (fist time we purchased a car with a Navigation system). Again best purchasing experience we have ever dealt with.
Wife and I went in there, and it was such an incredible experience. Andy Park, was our sales guy, very well knowledgeable, friendly, and super patient. No pressure at all, we saw multiple cars, models, and always had a smile from Andy. The manager was extremely corteous, and their facilities have a mean/awesome decaf mochaccino. I made my appointment online and was reminded during the week via email. I was in and out pretty quickly and all my questions were answered. Jennifer was courteous, professional, and informative. Bring a book or iPad and relax in their waiting area. This is a peaceful area to wait for your vehicle.
Drove 65 miles and had an appointment with Malcom for noon. The dealership opened at noon. I got there at noon. Malcom was already with another customer. I asked for another salesman. One could tell he was not happy having to wait on me. The offer made to me was way to high. I said no and left. When I walked out the door, another man came running out and made a 100.00.lower offer. I kept walking. Went next door to Subaru and made a deal.
You would do well to avoid this dealership, especially when purchasing a used car. Evidently, they do little to determine the condition of their used cars before the put them on the lot. The 2007 Honda CR-V EX I bought on 7/3/20 appeared to be a decent vehicle and the test drive didn’t reveal any issues. The sales manager was firm on the price, only discounting it $200.00.On the drive home, the air conditioner was working. A few days later, I noticed the AC took a while to get cool after the car was first started. Then it quit cooling at all and the compressor was rattling. I took it to my mechanic and was told the system had been overcharged to make it appear to be working properly. The extra pressure had damaged the system and the entire air conditioning unit had to be replaced at a cost of $1,800.00. I also asked the mechanic to check the front struts because the suspension seemed to be tight. He found both struts were frozen and had to be replaced at a cost of $662.00. I sent a note to the sales person and received no response. The sale was done and he has his commission, what does he care. Buyer beware!Also, when I reviewed the title information, they had registered the car in my brothers name and used one of his available tags!
I was able to negotiate a great deal for the SUV I liked, the sales team was very friendly and never felt pressure into buying or accepting their offers. Andrew the salesman was very helpful and worked with us to close on a deal after driving close to 3 hours to the dealer. Gunther beat every offer by far I could of gotten in dealers close to where I live.
