At just shy of 65 I’ve bought a fair amount of cars, most often because I needed to, occasionally because I wanted to. I went to the dealership not knowing if I would do a trade-in and buy a car. I really left the decision up to my experience. If I went and it was a pushy salesperson I had it in my mind I would just look at cars and leave. From the moment we got to the lot the service was exceptional. The original salesman I had texted through Truecar had an emergency but was super apologetic and put me in Rafi’s care. He pulled the car I thought I wanted and I was like oh no I selected the wrong at to see there’s no sunroof. I told him my must haves and he pulled out 4 cars until I found the one. It was super late and they were super cool and got me where I wanted to be with price and monthly payments. Last service interval I paid for a tire rotation. Just noticed that it looked like that my tires were not rotated when I was putting on my spare tire. So when I called the dealership asking about tire prices, the service writer on the phone did not seem to care that I didnt get the service I paid for.I will never bring my GTI back to VW of Conroe, and I will never bring my wifes Caravan back to the other Demontrond.

I submitted an online application for my new 2021 GTI right before leaving my house for work Monday morning and received a phone call about 30 mins later from the most helpful salesman I’ve ever dealt with and I work within the industry. He kept me up to date throughout the entire process of my remote application and called whenever he had new info for me. When I arrived later that same day (an hour before they closed) there was not a single sign of frustration that I was going to be keeping him beyond the posted store hours and that of in itself sold me on the whole deal. Before I even got over to sign all the paperwork he showed me everything I needed to know about the vehicle and showed me his own to point out all the options there are for accessorizing and making the car my own. Rafi was great! Set me up with an awesome new Jetta and really hooked it up on the price! Seriously, I would go to him every time. He is highly professional and a great guy.That being said, there was a senior salesman there as well, whose office was right next to the front door. He was very unprofessional and rude. We almost walked right out of the store he was so bad! But Rafi was such a nice guy that stayed and got a new car.

I made an appointment after seeing the Jetta online that I was certain I wanted. I can only hope all VW service areas are as helpful as DeMontrond. While traveling from Tucson to Montgomery (near Houston) our 2020 Tiguan had its first service required notification. Wanting to have it looked at but being away from our home area I just gave it a shot and gave DeMontrond a call and explained my situation. I was given an appointment first thing next morning and by problem was resolved. Thank you very much for eliminating all my stress. I may be a lifetime VW member!

John was extremely helpful. I’m so happy that I decided to go to Demontrond Conroe. Buying a car can be really stressful and John made sure to explain everything perfect. Excellent customer service, It was very fast! Rafi was our sale representative, he show us and explain us everything with patience and positive attitude. We called there to ask for a SUV that we saw online, and we decided to drive 50 miles (totally worth it).when we arrived, Rafi got the SUV in front of the door to show us our future vehicule. Do no hesitate to go there and ask for RAFI.

Let me preface this by saying John Parkinson was a good salesman. He went out of his way to secure the exact car I wanted, and provided good customer service. We have bought a car from John when he worked at Volkswagen of The Woodlands, and decided we wanted to be a repeat customer of his. However, the overall process was quite disorganized - see below:With this model, there is typically minimal room for negotiation (Golf R, performance model, produced in limited numbers). So when it came to price, we agreed on $150 off MSRP, even after the sales manager refused to come speak to us in person. However, after waiting nearly an hour for finance, the $150 we agreed upon was magically built back into the price... Luckily, I caught this, but only after the papers were signed. The dealership ended up making it right by paying to get my windows tinted. I am not sure if this was an attempt at a bait & switch, or if it was an honest mistake. Either way, it left me with a bad taste.I also requested that my personalized plates (off of my previous car) be transferred to the new vehicle. Upon my initial request, I was told they were unable to do this, which I knew was incorrect, because on the TxDMV website it states that dealerships should be able to handle this. After not taking no for an answer, and asking two more times, they agreed to put a picture of my personalized plates in my file for the paperwork to be sent over to the title clerk, but with no promises that I would receive my registration sticker to tie the new car, and my plates together. A few weeks later, after speaking to the title clerk in Demontronds Houston office, I did receive it. I would hope that everyone in Conroe is now familiar with the process.Another disappointing aspect was the cars backseat was filthy. Unacceptable for a brand new $40,000 car. I am not sure what the white residue was. Having to detail my brand new car is not what I wanted to spend the weekend doing. See the picture below.In summary, I dont think Ill be buying from DeMontrond again... and I can not recommend you do. The only reason I went through with the sale, is because it was the exact car I wanted.

I can honestly say this has been the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I bought a new Jetta and Dereck was absolutely fantastic. Nurul Rafi Was very knowledgeable and very patient. I was called about a month before I was ready and he never pressured me in any way. When I was ready he ran numbers on 3 cars without an attitude.

Old school customer service. John Parkinson is knowledgeable and upfront. He started making sure even though I emailed earlier he wasn’t stepping on toes of his coworker. Rafi was my salesman and sold me a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which I love and he has been wonderful with any requests and keeping me in the loop. My mom was involved in a wreck that totaled her car. She really wasnt looking forward to the typical car buying experience. I can tell that there is nothing typical about this experienceRafi, the salesman, was very knowledgeable and was extremely diligent about following up on requests and information.Demontrond gave her a price on a Cross sport that seemed too good to be true, but they kept their word and then some.

I drive from Houston to this location to hand my car to Bruce whose the best service advisor I’ve ever dealt with. He made sure that my vehicle is fully serviced while I was at work. As well as all the folks at DeMontrond VW in Conroe are first rate. They have a very comfortable waiting area, WiFi, and refreshments are available.
