My car kept dying and needing to get jumped, the issue came up again at the most inconvenient time and the owner squeezed me in before they closed that day. The mechanic replaced my car battery so I could go on a trip to Yosemite with my wife without any issues! The check engine light was on when I came in and got everything cleared up for a smooth trip. I pulled in and asked if they could do it for me and how much the guy said he would just put it in for me at no charge because he was off the clock and going home. Screeching starts have ended!A note of thanks to Duane, John, and ultimately Harold for silencing a horrible screeching noise that weve been dealing with for wayyyyyyy too long (We brought it into previous shop for that very reason & after replacing belts and still screeching, was told it would work itself out in time). Thankfully, the daily ear piercing torture is over and it seemed it was a simple tightening of the belt. Im also very impressed with the customer service given by all the gentlemen mentioned, I highly recommend Clayton Valley Auto Services. They truly do provide excellent customer service

I love going to Clayton Valley Auto Service as Jeff and all those who work there are friendly, knowledgeable and do a very good job. When I had a check engine light Jeffs dad told me right off the top that it could be 4 or 5 different things and they would start out with the least expensive until they found out what the trouble was. Im still driving that van around 5 years later. I really appreciate the great service they give. They are really great for routine maintenance, and wonderful when I have emergencies.

My family had been going to this place for years, it being around the corner from our house. We came in to get the AC checked and also to get checked for an oil leak. They told us on the phone checking would be free. When we got there he gave us an invoice to sign stating that it would be $131 to diagnose the AC and $131 to check for an oil leak. He then explained that that was just how the computer does the setup on the paper and that he would not charge us to check the oil leak but that even if we did not get the AC fixed we would be charged $131 to check the AC and that fixing the AC would probably cost $1600. We decided to not do anything about the ac and to still get the oil leak checked. He then said he made the changes in the computer and the total would be $0 for everything. We said ok and he asked us to sign the same invoice with the charges for the the AC and oil leak check and labor coming to over $300. When we asked him to sign something that reflected what he told us, only a free check for an oil leak, he told us that he gave us his word and that he cant go printing out a bunch of papers and said you can take it somewhere else. so, being asked to sign something that did not remotely reflect what he said and being asked to leave, we left. I was absolutely shocked at the terrible customer service, you cant expect someone to sign something that says they will automatically owe you over three hundred dollars when you are saying it will be free just because you are too stubborn or cheap to print out a second, accurate, invoice. When I called back to explain what happened to the guy we usually deal with, the son of the man that served us, he did not have anything to say or seem to care at all, despite the fact that we have been going to them for years. Also, they wanted $60 for an oil change, which I can do myself, or get it done anywhere else for around $20.
