Great place to take your car if you want it to stop working! Started taking my car here and within a year my car stopped working. I sold my car and the new owner looked under the hood and gave me the following info. I had gone here to get spark plugs replaced. They used the cheapest plugs possible and didn’t properly GAP them so they continued to misfire. I had gotten the belt and water pump replaced and the belt was not properly replaced but I was charged for it. Beware of this place. The old guy at the front is shady. They say they’re gonna do one thing and do another. When you ask them basic questions about what was done, they get rude and defensive. Especially if you are a single female and know very little about cars, beware of this place. You’ll have better luck at Tom and jerry auto down the street

My car has some unique problems, and even though Star & Northwest couldnt diagnose the issue, the service I received was five stars. They were very understanding when I provided a vague description of the problems I faced, and waived the inspection fee (twice!) when they could not diagnose the precise issue. Another consistently professional and courteous interactions with the team!

Will never be returning here. I had to continuously bring my car in got the same repair because they didn’t fix it the first time. Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere else!

Couldnt give more praise for their service - My hybrid was towed here, which is how I became aware of the company. Unfortunately they didnt have the precise tools required to fix it, BUT the important part is that Don was open and honest about it. He called me right away to talk to me about next steps. He gave advice on locations to send it to, requested that I let him know how it goes, and he even said hed check with friends at the location I was sending it to to make sure it was in good hands. Ive had many poor experiences with auto-care at other locations, but this was definitely one of the best. Would recommend their service over and over again!

Repaired 2 “coils” in my engine. Charged 1500.00. The problem came back within 2 months. Older guy at counter very shady. Don’t trust them.

I needed to have a front turn signal bulb replaced. Simple repair usually but on my car it takes getting underneath and taking part of the shield/guard in front of the tire off. I remembered a friend recommending Star & Northwest in the past so I decided to try them out. I also asked them to check out the front end for me. They were super fast and friendly. Not only checked out the front end but also took it for a quick test drive. I waited maybe 15 minutes. They only charged me for the bulb itself. Theyre awesome! I couldnt be more pleased.

Normally great but when I called to ask if they would replace a part I have already purchased i was told they would. When I arrived at the shop, i was told they never do this b/c theyre in business to make money and make money off of the parts. I was then quoted 5x what i paid for the part and more than double what i read others paid for the same job.

Had my tires changed here and got an oil change too. Wasnt planning to go back, but the service and pricing is excellent. Ill be a regular customer. They are quick, efficient, and to the point. Changed my tires in under 15 minutes. Highly recommend.

These guys are awesome! My car was making a high pitched squealing noise when I would back up and a friend suggested Star & Northwest so I came in to have them check it out and they had it diagnosed, the parts ordered and the car fixed in under an hour! And the price was super reasonable. I will definitely be coming here again for future repairs and will recommend the shop to others.

I had a great experience with all of the men that I interacted with. All men were forward at telling me what my car needed, how much it was and what was necessary to get. The men were personable and polite. The only thing I wish they would have been up front with is that there are two prices...the cash price and the credit card price which is more. My friend who recommended them told me about it so I had to make sure and clarify it with them. Thank you for fixing my car! It runs great!

Not happy with their service. I took my car in to have the AC repaired 3 times in less than 3 months. And guess what? It went out again within a week after it was fixed. When I talked to the manager about it and told him I was upset with how many times Ive had to bring my car in for the same issue, he said, Well, you can always take your car somewhere else. Not exactly friendly or helpful.

First time using Star & Northwest Auto Care and will be back. Had a simple oil change, tire rotation, check fluids, etc. Work done in an hour. Also gave me a heads up on tire wear and break pad wear, without trying to sell it or force it. Gave me a ballpark of time for both to remain safe and how many more miles before I should take a look again. Car is running great.

We had guests in from Myrtle Beach SC, who when pulling out of our driveway on Saturday morning to drive home noticed their VWs serpentine belt hanging on the ground. Called several local repair shops and VW Dealerships, none of which could get them in until Monday or Tues. Star & Northwest said bring it in right now, well take a look. They did and had it repaired within an hour for less than $100. Great work!

We took in our car to repair a window. They repaired the window done and for a reasonable price. But, when we got the car back, we had a leak from our sunroof. I took it back to them and told that them that it couldnt be a coincidence that the leak developed right when they repaired the window, but they insisted they did not cause it and were going to charge us over $300 for the repairs. We were not going to pay this. In the subsequent 5 days, despite attempts to cover the car and do a mold abatement a massive mold problem broke out throughout the entire car.I would not trust your car here.

Great, fast service. They know what they are doing. My car had been having problems every once in a while, and I was sure it just needed a new ignition switch, as its a 93 Honda Accord and still had the original. I took it to a different shop with an appointment, who kept it for literally 3 days, did nothing, wouldnt just replace the switch when I asked, and then charged me.Finally the car wouldnt stay running unless I held the key over, so I had it towed from work to Star and Northwest with no appointment, and they had it fixed and ready in just 3 hours! I tell everyone about them now. I will definitely come here whenever I need anything done!

Had a fuel line leak cost 240$ as soon as we left (my mother and I) the brake line goes out and she almost crashed into another car..And before we left I seen a puddle under her car I didnt think much of it because they seem like a good company so I call back and ask them how come you guys didnt tell me the brake line was out all they could say was bring it back and will give you a price.So be aware because they jus want money and care less if somebody loses there life

I have taken my cars there for twenty+ years. They are scrupulously honest and do great work

You can get in and out for an oil change within 10-15 min, and they use quality products (e.g., Catrol oil). If you have a problem with car and there is a simple fix vs an expensive fix involving many hours and the ordering of parts, they will happily give you the simple fix, and not even charge ypu for it. E.g., I could have ordered new tire flaps for my car, or just zip tie them to keep them from dragging -- note: my car is old! Cost to repair was a lot relative to its current blue book value. The guy presented both options and said that given the age etc., if he were me, he wouldnt bother ordering the parts. But he was happy to do it if thats what I preferred. I really appreciated that. He couldve sold me so much, but instead thought outside the box and provided a simple solution. Moreover, he didnt even charge for the time spent or the materials used to keep the tire flaps from dragging. Its been over a year, and the simple zipties are still doing the job just fine! I have known people who brought them high end cars (e.g., Audi), and they rave about the quality of work. To me, that says a lot because often times you need to go to a european car specialty shop to get trustworthy care. They are able to work on the entire spectrum of cars, do it well, and do it honestly.
