Wish there was a no star option. After several phone calls and a 2½ hour drive, I realized they just wanted to get me in the door so they could raise the price and unload just anything to get my money. Once my suspicions were raised, I asked for VIN verification and milage etc. they started getting rude and defensive and I realized I had been lied to multiple times over the phone and had wasted 6 hours of my life driving to a complete disappointment with dishonesty. I realized later after talking to a much better shop on Lazar Road that the engine they were trying to sell me was for the wrong year and design revision and wouldt have worked in my vehicle... AND they were ready to let me take it! I was told it was lower miles and a lower price and they would hold it for me then 15 minutes before I arrived they called and said it was sold to someone else and not to come. Then I was reassured by another rep that they had it and to come anyway. I am glad the Lord checked me before I had made a terrible mistake by buying from South High Auto Parts.

Price are firm like others but they need to learn how to smile and respect the people front of them, when some one ask for part, dont turn your face and leave the customer with out sorry or give me second..smile is free not expensive .

I have purchased well over 50 engines and a dozen or so transmissions from South High over the past few years and never had a problem with them taking care of a defective unit....until today. I travel 4 hours round trip from Middletown, OH to pick these up, and unfortunately they sold us a bad CVT transmission for a 2014 Nissan Sentra 90 days ago which cost us $1,500.00 + core + travel. Don, who was rude to me on the phone twice today, said its been too long & he was sure the Owner would do nothing about this. It sat in our busy 9 bay shop for about 6-7 weeks before we got around to installing it, so my customers invoice was billed out for it on 8-11-20, & it was towed back in yesterday as the (bad) transmissiononly lasted 301 miles. I understand used parts dont carry the same Warranty as new ones. Ive been in business for over 20 years. Clearly states they open at 8 AM, parts counter employees say “don’t go by what’s on the website or what is listed on the door we come in at around 830-9 AM”Someone finally shows up at 8:35 and Unlocks the door. They tell me they have my part in stock it just needs to be pulled, come back in 15 minutes. I wait outside another 15 minutes come back in to pick up my part and they say sorry we do not have this part in stock.Absolute Atrocious customer service. Go ANYWHERE Else but here.Capital city auto parts on McKinley was able to take care of meAlso check Writhman Brothers on E. Main St.I would almost guarantee half of the five star reviews on here are from friends and family of the owner.

Unfortunately things werent the best. I was sold a thirteen year old radiator rusty mine you, showing considerable amount of wear. Now the woman whom sold me the item indicated that the top flanges were broken but it should be ok. I said Ill take the chance. I began by taking a coolant hose clamp off. The plug comes out. I return with the radiator and told I broke it. Theyre thing is, it didnt leave here that way. I said maybe not. However it is rusty and 13 yrs old and I didnt break it. What can we do about it. I was nothing and given this scenario: You buy a engine it falls of the truck its not our fault. Be careful I dont recall their policies written on the walls.

Ive spent thousands of dollars with this business but that stops today. I sent one of my employees to pick an engine up that we were told was out and waiting on us just to find out after traveling 70 miles that they didnt have it. They oh so conveniently had another one for an additional $600. You guys are a joke and you will never see another penny my companies money.

Although the part I needed was not in stock, the woman who fielded my call was extremely helpful. She shared information and suggestions that let me find the part at a fair price elsewhere.

Very bad service. Was told one price earlier in the week then it went up 100 in a 5 day period. So we got there and a guy was helping us and another guy says we have none but the guy that was helping us said yes we do we have 4. So they pick and choose who they want to sell to. When we got there they told us it was another 50 dollars. WHAT.... Well the guy that was helping us told us to back the truck by the pole well my young daughter was doing it so I went out to help her direct the truck. So a weird guy comes out and thats when we found out it went up 50 dollars. He then insisted that I go thru a different door with him. Im a women and that aint happening. I told him no I would go back in the front door to the office. He then told me he didnt trust me. Mind u again Im a women with my 18 year old girl. Getting ripped off and he dont trust me. He then told us to leave because he didnt trust me. This place is a joke dont do ANY business here. They lie and must be doing other things that aint aloud because they didnt trust me. NEVER AGAIN. Found another junk yard in Columbus and they told us people always have issues with South High Auto Parts.. BEWARE

If you dont mind your credit card information being comprised and being lied to this is the place to go. They string you along as if they are working on things and pretend they dont know anything later on. All the while the have your personal information. Download carfax and check the vin they are selling you!!!! I was buying an engine for a civic that they told me had 113,000 miles on it. I ran the Vin number and it had 250!!!! And don’t go by the Vin that they are selling you off the computer. Check the Vin that is on the engine! They tried giving me four different engines and none of them matched up to what they said they were.The mileage that they advertise is the mileage that is on the title when they get the vehicle. So pretty much if you bought your car eight years ago and registered it with 99,000 miles that is what is on the title that they are advertising that vehicle has for mileage. Obviously after eight years you’re not gonna have 99,000 miles he might have 240,000 miles.If you run the Vin number with a Carfax that will be the accurate mileage that the vehicle has because when the insurance company totaled that vehicle that is the mileage that they input into the system when the vehicle was paid out through insurance.Carfax is a free app. Download it and protect yourself!I drove three hours one way to pick up this engine. I hope the engine that I got runs so I don’t wanna come back here.

I am a cdl driver and I sell cars in my spare time. I occasionally go to all the auto salvage yards in the Columbus area and I must say this is one of the worst ive ever experienced my 20years of living in this state. Ive had two visits to with the company and both have been unpleasant. The customer service is deplorable, almost every representative had disposition that they werent intrested in helping. After giving me wrong information both times as well as being treated like a roach ive decided it will be in my and their best interest for me not to return. Iz strongly suggest they hire a new staff who values there customers.

The tells you to wait for 45 min for a part that they said they have it in stock on the phone, but at the end they tells you that they sold it, cant find it or dont have it. This is the best junkyard around. They are so organized. Youll be amazed when u pull up if youve never been there. Theyll get the part you need and let you see it and give u a price on it. This was my first time being there and I got the part I needed in less than 10 mins and was on my way. No walking a junkyard looking for a part here! Ill def go back!

I went in before they closed last night and they told me that they had a steering column for my Jeep but to come back this morning and they would pull it. I went in as soon as they opened and they told me to give them 30 minutes while they pulled it. Sat in my car and waited the 30 minutes go back in and they said that they dont actually have what I needed. Complete waste of my time. Wouldnt recommend going to this salvage yard. Very unsatisfied.

A friend recommended this place for their good prices, but when I called with questions this morning, the young woman who answered the phone was defensive and rude (not trying to be mean, but probably due to ignorance). Needless to say, I will not be purchasing any parts from them, Ill gladly pay a bit more for quality and service. Too much risk.

I purchased a VW engine assembly on 9-11-2017 that was faulty. I paid $1,950 for a non-usable CORE. While the engine was supposed to be from a 2016 Tiquan, my invoice stated a 2013 Tiquan. In addition, the company stated the engine would be equipped with the turbocharger attached. It arrived with the turbo separate. I had a very poor experience with this company and would not recommend. Unfortunately, this company would not stand behind this faulty engine and offered no other options.

Worst service anyone can ask for and extremely rude to everyone. I would recommend going somewhere else rather than wasting your time with that joke of a junkyard.

Worst customer service! They are thieves and liars. Purchased an engine, from a wrecked car blown head gasket, exchanged to receive another from a wrecked car engine knocking. Was told to bring back would refund $, only to be denied. I understand reciept says exchange only but was told they would refund due to multiple engine failures. They stole $350, not to mention time and labor. Be very cautious! Asked for the name of who I spoke to, you cant get a name when they hang up on you.

Came in and they could not find the one they told me,but had one with a lot more miles and a bunch of different accessories that didnt match for the same price.Said if they found it they would call me. Called back a few days later said they found the original one. When I showed up they showed me the same one as last time. Total waste of time. Purchased a motor off of Lou went bad with in a week. Shipped back to them it has been about 2 months now and they have not credited my card back like they said they would. These guys are not right making the recycling business look bad. These guys are very unprofessional and have absolutely the worse customer service or help at all. Im finally tired of waiting but just in advance to anybody who see this BUYER BEWARE..
