We LOVE meadows! Their frozen custard flavors are always delicious and the espresso is perfect… but combine them and get their best menu items! The customer service is always great, the owner is the kindest man. This is our go-to dessert in Columbia ALWAYS!

Tasty!! I got strawberry lemonade gelati. Hubs got mango. We got there 8:10 we were served 8:45. The owner (?) was there alone taking orders, ringing up checks, and making the desserts all alone. The line was out the door. Anybody got an idle teenager hanging around? Send them over there to help that gentleman. He said it was slow all day. And his helper just left the company. Everyone (mostly) was very patient non complaining.

The ice cream was definitely not cheap, which I dont mind as much since it was also excellent. If I have a complaint, it is that the only thing close to a menu was a list of the various ways you could get ice cream other than a cup, which oddly wasnt listed (milkshake, sundae, etc.) but there werent any prices anywhere.

OMG, this evening was my first time going to the meadows! The custard was so good. So smooth and creamy. The caramel and peanuts topped off my vanilla custard! Very satisfied, will be returning soon. YUM

I was impressed with the smoothness of the frozen custard ice cream, and the Italian Ice was absolutely fantastic.I recommend the mango Italian ice!If you get the chance, definitely give this place a try. Love the meadows. They have great ice cream. For some reason every time I go there, there is only one person working and it can take up to a half hour for them to take our orders, even if there are only 10 people in front of us.

Grew up on this Frozen Custard & was so excited that we finally have one here in Columbia!! Nothing quite like it! Loved it at age 10 & just as much at age.. well, I m a senior citizen now. Would work there for custard!! And such a sweet, happy man who runs the business..

Ive been here twice now and have gotten a Gelati both times, which is Italian ice and custard. Their Italian ice is so creamy and good i definitely recommend going

Very good custard

Coming here is always such a treat. The soft ice cream is the creamiest around. The flavors are limited, but the variety of things you can put on top is wide. The Meadows also offers lots of other options such as ice cream sandwiches, sundaes, gelato, and specialty items such as my favorite, the turtle sundae--ice cream layered with caramel, chocolate sauce, and pecans. The store is small, but there are lots of places to sit right outside on benches at the village center.

Traditional slow churn ice cream and frozen yogurt served graciously by the owner. Expect a line near closing time. The variety of flavors is limited but they have the basics plus a few more. Give it a try!

This place is the BEST. The owner knows all his customers. I always come in for the same thing and it is a running joke that someday I am going to order something else . I think his custard is the best and his customer service is the best.

Mr. Young is the best! He remembers all his customers and has the best ice cream in town. Many of the other shops in this town center have been forced out due to rising rent. Support this amazing local business owner!!

I went to college near a Meadows in PA and was so happy to see one in Columbia. The owner was super friendly and they even have some of their own flavors from other locations. Love the chocolate heath and dirty turtle. Make sure to look online for their flavor calendar not to miss your favorites. The plaza also has some nice benches and fountains to sit outside and enjoy your tasty treat!

The turtle was delicious. Some of the best custard Ive ever had. Well worth the price for the amount and quality. Staff was very nice, friendly, and quick. When I first got there I was the last in a line of about 10 people wait was only about 5-7min. Plenty of places to sit inside and out. Will be back for sure to try other items on the menu.

The Frozen Custard was delicious and several flavors to choose from. My grandson course chocolate cherry (with REAL, FRESH CHERRIES, BTW) and thoroughly enjoyed his. They also have a rewards card.

This is probably the only place in this area where you can get frozen custard. Its so good and rich in flavor. No matter how busy it is, the owner always has a smile on his face with skillful service. This is, from what I had observed, even after people coming in after the posted closing hour.

A refreshing frozen dairy treat like frozen custard from The Meadows must be tried by any ice cream or froyo fan to be believed! Far superior--far above imposters like rita, and way better than anything within 25-miles. Thats how far I drive. Steve has the very best!

Steve, the franchise owner, is one of the most genuine and friendly people I have ever met.The flavors of custard are great, and rotate through about a dozen regular flavors. Check their website for the daily flavors.Left-overs are also put into cookie sandwiches, available for the next day or two.They also make Italian ices, cakes, coffee, espresso, and can mix custard drinks like affogato.

Im a big fan of frozen custard, and this place has the best Ive had. A nice find after the old custard place near Enchanted Forest was torn down.Creamier, richer, tastier than either soft serve or fro-yo. You can also get it in various forms like shake, sundae, with espresso poured over, etc.The GF really enjoyed the gelati which is layers of italian ice and custard. The italian ice is made in-house, various flavors, much better than the watery stuff Ive tried elsewhere. The mango was particularly good.They have an espresso bar-- the espresso itself was a little weak, but I get the impression the coffees are mostly made to be mixed with custard (or poured over custard).They also have fro-yo and varying flavors of the day. The father-daughter team running the place was friendly and efficient. Theres a frequent-buyer card.Weve already been back twice. Its cheaper than Coldstone or Baskin Robbins, and tastes delicious. A small is filling enough for an adult, though a medium is a delicious indulgence. Highly recommended.
