Called in one day looking for a specific firearm. They were the only ones that had one in stock in the Springs at the time, and the lady who answered the phone offered right away to reserve the weapon for me to pick up. Great customer service on the phone! Went in later that day and was helped out by a Retired 1SG Infantryman. He is very knowledgeable about firearms, and even gave a concise and informative run-down on handling our weapon. He made the entire process easy (and fun!) for us, and, for that, this store has earned a loyal customer family.

Came here to buy a small replacement part for an AR-15. The fact that they even had them in stock was a miracle. None of the other places I called had them. Magnum, Specialty, Sportsmans, none of them, not even firearm repair shops. And I love those places. The guy at the front not only helped me install the piece right then and there, he also gave it to me on the house. That kind of customer service is unparalleled, especially in this day and age, and as busy as they were, he still took the time. I will definitely be going back to shop there.

My brother just purchased 3 guns a few days ago from this dealer! I live in Ohio and asked if I could purchase a gun and have it shipped to a local FFL dealer! The reply was we are not shipping we don’t have time. I was paying full asking price and all shipping costs. I will remember this when they do have time and gun sales slow down. He was super easy to talk to and he explains things in a way that clicks easily. The whole place is down to earth and straight up seem to enjoy working there. Have purchased multiple firearms and accessories from this store. The owner, I believe, is always super courteous and fun to talk to! She knows her stuff! Some of the other employees can be a bit of a pain because they want to preach a bit. But they are always willing to help and chat. This is probably one of the best guns stores in town, highly recommend!

I called a couple other stores for info on an out of state transfer and they are the only store that was willing to also recommend a safety course. Laura was easy to speak to and friendly so I went with them and glad I did. I felt very comfortable in the store and talking with the rest of the staff, the place is clean and they seem to have a good selection. I was in desperate need of money. I had a couple of guns that were part of my inheritance. I told everyone at the Shooting Den what had happened to me and my Dad used to do business with them. They were extremely helpful and made it so I could pay my utility bill and groceries. They purchased my guns that hadnt been fired and still in the boxes that same night. They are a blessing and I will be back.

Went in earlier today for an ffl transfer, staff were very friendly and helpful. Ive been going to the Shootin Den for about 2 years now. Im going to be honest, Im a little biased. But its because these people are great. They are always helpful and typically have what Im looking for in stock. Ammo selection is outstanding, accessory selection is pretty good and when you need to get something odd ball they can usually pull it off. Theyve earned my patronage, and Id encourage anyone to give them a shot.

So I’m a first time gun buyer and out of the many gun stores I went to, I also decided to go to the shootin den. I went in and was pleasantly surprised with how friendly and helpful the workers were. I had been to many gun stores before this and was disappointed with many of my experiences. The staff there does not talk down to anyone and will happily anwser any questions you might have. Matt answered all the questions I had about various firearms and was extremely courteous! Futhermore, shootin den has some of the best prices on firearms that I’ve ever seen! I decided to purchase my first firearm from them since they were so incredibly helpful and again, had some amazing prices! I recently emailed the Shootin Den with questions on price and availability on a specific rifle (Henry Youth Mini Bolt). I emailed Thursday and Laura replied almost immediately. She gave me a price and told me she could have it in by Tuesday. Sure enough she called Tuesday morning to let me know it had arrived.I drove down to the shop a little after lunch to pick it up. There were very busy but constantly kept checking with me to let me know someone would be with me as soon as possible. Once she was freed up she got my paperwork done and gave me some information on the hunter safety classes the support. Great customer service.My experience was great and I would recommend them without hesitation. Great selection and friendly knowledgable staff!

I love to shop locally. I have this wildly idealistic view that spending your money at a locally owned business keeps the place you spend your days and nights vibrant and growing, and keeps the standard of living high. There are no shortage of gun shops in Colorado Springs, but they all vary wildly. You can go shop out east, and get treated like you are carrying the plague, or you can go to the Shootin Den and be treated like a real person. Knowledgeable and friendly staff are quick to give you their attention without making you feel like you are wasting their time. While the store is small, and inventory is not big box store deep, these folks can and will get you what you want. I will spend a little more and keep my dollars working in my hometown. These folks are great, and I encourage you to give them a try.

I made my first firearm purchase here. Id been to a couple of other shops along the Front Range and as a first time buyer, the staff at other places made me feel dumb and out of place simply for asking questions. The staff at the Shootin Den were all very friendly, helpful, and of course, knowledgable. I was looking for a .22 rifle, just something simple that wouldnt break the bank. I found a used rifle, in excellent shape, in my price range and purchased it. All in all, it was a very pleasant and easy experience.

Great little shop, I just wish they were open later as I don’t usually get off until after 6pm Monday through Friday. Other than that it’s a user friendly, family environment, the employees are knowledgeable & very cordial to the customer they even have a little dog that greats every one.

I am more than impressed by the knowlegde of the female staff here. Typically dealing with female staff at a gun store can be awkward or they can seem misinformed. This place is a very pleasent exception. All staff, male and female, were knowledgeable about firearms that were not even out yet. This is one of the few gun stores that will tell you to wait to buy, either because there is a new model or a price drop on the horizon that will equate to you being a more satisfied customer. I have never described what I wanted to a gun store clerk and have them tell me Here are you options now, but in my opinion you should wait because X gun maker is coming out with a model 6 months from now that will blow this one out of the water. Most gun stores want you to fork over your cash now, but I get the sense that this gun store want you to get WHAT YOU WANT TO THE LETTER. I appreciate that from a firearms dealer.

My wife inherited some high end shotguns, both of us decided we should find out more about their value since we know that her father did spend his money on his hobby. Bought my first pistol from here and these guys were absolutely awesome! Granted, the gen 4 glock i bought didnt come with one of the parts needed for the changeable grips, but when i went back and informed them, they replaced it for free and even gave me the rundown on a bunch of holsters i was looking at. First time I dealt with the Shootin Den I was referred to them by The Gun Outlet. Side note: I didnt even know the Shootin Den existed because it didnt come up in a Google search when I searched for gun shops in Colorado Springs. So I was looking for a spare magazine for the S&W M&P 22 Pistol which are VERY hard to find. They happened to have two in stock! So I asked if they would hold them for me and they did! My wife went the next day and was able to get both magazines with no problem. She felt that they were very friendly and even ran to the door to open it for her because they saw my wife had her arms full with our twins. We plan on purchasing another firearm for my wife and when we do we will likely go through the Shootin Den!

Absolutely the best gun shopping experience I have ever had. I have bought guns from many different states and from probably 5 different places just here in the springs and if I would have bought from The shooting Den the first time they would be the only place. I cant praise this place enough, very friendly and helpful staff. I called asking for a particular firearm and maybe a week later I got a call saying it had arrived. My biggest complaint buying from a gun store is most of the time it seems as the sales associate could care less whether or not they sell you a gun, seriously they can be complete a**holes. I never leave reviews I know I should more often as they do help others but, I seriously feel obligated as a gun enthusiast and The Shooting Den is my go to gun store. Theres nothing worse than giving your money to a lousy gun owner. I have bought many firearms since being here in the springs and I was upset after leaving The Shooting Den for the first time because I didnt know about them sooner and unfortunately bought from other stores before them. The only time I dont buy from them is for Glock LE/military blue label sales and I believe there not able to because of existing blue label distributors in the area may be the reason but im not 100% sure on that though. anyways I had a great experience I hope you do.

I walked into the Shootin Den today to make a purchase and was immediately told I must leave their store because they had more than five people inside. There was not a notion that they would help as soon as possible. But simply you must leave. This is abysmal customer service and I could at no point ever recommend anyone to shop here ever. I will not ever return to the shootin den and will actively suggest anyone looking to shop here to find a new place. Terribly customer service, of the three times I have entered their store none have been satisfactory. Dont shop here people. Their business model is not cut out for this poor economy. They will hopefully be out of business so by turning people away to not even shop at their store.
