Stopped by to accessorize my new AR10. The staff was very helpful in making recommendations and allowing me to try out how things felt and giving me some pros and cons of each accessory for my particular rifle. Lucas went above and beyond and installed all the parts I purchased...and did it in about 1/4 of the time it would have took me as I dont have all the right tools yet.a few days earlier I stopped by to buy some ammo and mags and received great service as well.i cant speak for price as I am more of a customer service oriented shopper and am happy to pay for great service.... it is about the overall value received for me. I will definitely look to them as my go to when Looking for anything firearm related. The extra mile service I received has gained them a loyal customer.the AR 10 I brought in looking to accessorize I didnt even buy there... I purchased it elsewhere because they were the only store within 200 miles that had it... I bought a S&W 360PD of of Family Firearms Sales completely online (this was my first time purchasing a firearm online also). It was a great experience! I dealt with Chad, he was extremely quick to respond to questions and emails so communication was perfect. Shipping was 2 or 3 days tops. Also my firearm was a preowned one but it was a very clean gun and it was the best price that I could find for this gun in quite some time.Overall, these guys are running a reputable and pleasurable business to work with. I would buy from them again and if you are checking there inventory out from online, they are legit and trusted by me.

I walked into this shop about 3 years ago for the first time and havent gone anywhere else since. Their selection of inventory, even know in the weird times we are in, is unlike anywhere else. They treat everyone respectfully and arent condescending when you dont know something like most other gun shops. They are actually helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. I have bought guns, accessories, parts, ammo, and had many of my guns worked on by the staff here. The amount of work they put in to stay stocked up and relevant is impressive, and never disappoints. I have brought many of my friends here, and they have had the same experience. This shop has made lifelong customers out of myself and my friends. These guys are doing it right.

Being fairly new to the springs, I would still consider this a superior firearm store than any I’ve encountered in Texas. The staff are knowledgeable, patient and sincere. Having all my tools in storage still they, without hesitation, gladly agreed to install my new sights for me, and I got it back within hours. If you’re looking for a firearm store, look no further. I’ll never go to elsewhere as long as I’m in the Springs - you won’t find better service or selection.

The guys working here are a down-to-earth riot. They were easy to talk to & happy to show me what I was interested in. They had plenty of ammo in stock, along with a few items that I haven’t see elsewhere. They have a decent selection of magazines, sights, & even coffee.

Went there expecting a quality store with good customer service considering the name of the place “Family Firearms”. They were very rude and talk to you in a condescending manner. Their prices are $150-$250 above surrounding stores. Maybe the salesman’s dog had just died and he was having a bad day so I give benefit of the doubt with 2 stars rather than 1.

I just moved to Colorado and I looked all over for a gun store that I liked. This one has the best inventory, best staff, and best knowledge for my stupid complicated gun noob requests. I like talking to humans without masks on and after Ive finished what I came in for I dont want to leave. 10/10

I recently contacted Chad the owner of FFS to purchase a rifle. The website describes their values as being very customer focused — they will treat you as family:“Our goal is to be friendliest fireams store in the area and welcome people of all gender, race and age! We want to live up to our name and treat you as our family!”This was not the experience I had at all, maybe I caught him on a bad day? My experience was he is dishonest and disrespectful of others.

Ammo is double what scheels is and Glocks are $150 more. Nothing but non imported Century AKs on the wall. The responses are hilarious though so heres an extra star.

Insanely amazing customer serviceFast, responsive, extremely friendly. All during a time when the industry is absolutely nuts. They really went out of their way to help fix an error I made, which they didn’t have to do. It was top notch customer service.

Called down to get an idea about their inventory only to find their phones are not being answered, their message advises that I come in to their store instead which I then did. Once I drove out to their store their inventory was severely lacking in the category I was after. I asked for the best way to stay up to date on their inventory so that I could buy the gun I was after and was advised that I should try gunbroker.com. Good Advice.

Took my rifle stock in for an issue with a sling post pretty to close to closing hours. They fixed it and I picked up right after opening hours the next day. The fix didnt work so I took it back in for repair. They came up with an even better solution for the problem the 2nd time around. They were very fair in their dealings and worked until they got the issue resolved and fixed.

Does not apply to everyone, but in general their staff is unprofessional and unhelpful. I am happy that they are able to sell guns for over MSRP and at almost shockingly high prices, but this is not to place to go to buy firearms at a reasonable price. After repeated attempts of shopping here, because maybe the employee just had a bad day, all recommendations for firearms, accessories, and expertise should be directed elsewhere.

Ive heard wonderful things about your store, but Ive been trying to reach someone for over two weeks now. I have no form of social media and it seems thats the only way to contact anyone. Honestly, there are good dudes working there. I’ve had great experiences. But also some mediocre, I recommend they focus on their clientele, and realize the person(s) who frequent their shop. I thought they were awesome the first couple times I went through. After that it was almost disrespectful. I expected to be helped numerous times and yet I was ignored. It’s frustrating knowing you’ve spent lots of money to support a business and still feel neglected. I guess the least to say is, they have a great selection of firearms, friendly staff but at times oblivious to their clientele. They are overpriced for sure and the moment you question it they feed you with the typical marketing tactics. Good luck family but be a bit more considerate.

Definitely impressed with the current inventory they have, the only place I could find near pueblo that had semi automatic rifles in stock im fairly new so I went in and asked for help the guy inside gave me his opinion and recommended some rifles which I ended up buying one will be doing business here again

Literally the most horrible service I have ever had! They dont want to pay any attention to what you are trying to ask for, rude, arrogant, and just a total unpleasant place to shop. I wanted to do a whole build for my son, I told them what I was looking to do, and both times Ive went in there its the same result, they dont want to help or answer any questions, they have a ton of parts but as soon as you tell them you want to build they get an attitude and youre no longer important. Should of never given these people a dime of my money!

I drove 2 hours to pick up a firearm here versus transferring to an FFL because this shop is amazing. They have modern firearms and modern knowledge and friendly and knowledgeable staff. They dont subscribe to the newest gun culture trend just because its a trend. They will give you the facts and practices over the fads. 10/10 will buy from, and drive to again.

I visit this gun store on a regular basis. Definitely the most knowledgeable guys in town and the most welcoming. Couldn’t recommend these guys to more people. They are also great with my dogs.

This is not your typical gun shop. Family Firearms Sales is hands-down the best shop in/around the front range and Im really excited that I found these guys. They have everything from entry level big brands to top of the line precision and performance models, and if they dont have what you are looking for, they make it painless to order in. I was in the market for a new competition pistol and the staff was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and friendly while I was in the shop. I was blown away by the great service and environment of Family Firearms Sales.

They have a wide selection of firearms. If they dont have it, they can order it. All my pew pew things will go through them. Even if I move out of state I plan on still going through them.

Went to Family Firearms today for the first time, and to say the least I had great experience! Forrest is a fantastic manager and helped me tremendously with a trade in, as well as the rest of the staff were very friendly and were happy to help! I purchased a used firearm recently from this business. I later found out I could have purchased the same firearm new, that would have included a laser sight, for about the same price. I also found out I was sold the used firearm for more than it was new.It’s my fault not shopping around and trying to give business to a smaller establishment and for assuming the business had a certain level of integrity and honesty.I will not be purchasing any other items from this business.

This store has the absolute worst phone service ive ever experienced. I have never once been able to contact them, they constantly push to voicemail. They will probably respond saying they cant hire someone to man the phones to answer thousands of calls.... If you cant answer ANY calls then why have a phone number? Very irritating when you live far away from the store and constantly get pushed to voicemail

By far the best firearms store I have been to. They were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Forrest helped me my first time in and made great suggestions and was extremely knowledgeable on everything. Everyone was awesome and were there ready to answer any questions I had and did not talk down to me like some other stores do from the time you step in the door. Emailed about a gun, whom ever they have responding is very rude and not customer minded, mentioned they were not very competitive on a price and asked if they would do better and was told I was smoking crack and didn’t have a clue what I was talking about. It’s unfortunate that they are one sided in business and using these times to price gouge their customers, was just looking to buy locally and support a Colorado business before I purchased elsewhere.UPDATE, response to my review shows the true customer service of this business. I would hope that this is not the owner responding to my review or a manager. They have the opportunity to inform/educate a customer that they are selling a different product and the benefits of their product over the ones the customer is comparing and perhaps turn it in to an easy sale, but instead they have chosen to continue to talk down and make fun of their customers publicly in a review. If you are new to the shooting sports, probably not the best place to shop as they assume everyone is as Knowledgeable as they are. I understand that in theses times we are going through your business may be doing extremely well and may not need every customer coming through your door, but every customer coming to you is an opportunity to grow your business through referrals and repeat sales.

He guided us to the guns he recommended based on our intended uses. The banter between himself and the other employee really created a fun environment and entertained us as we filled out the paperwork. Simply trying to find out the price and inventory of an optic was a sad experience. Chad is the most condescending individual I have dealt with in years. Although we have never interacted other than email, he accused me of being unsafe with a firearm and refused to sell me an optic that he didnt carry anyway. Worst customer service ever. I drove a couple hours down to purchase an item that was not in stock almost everywhere else I called, and they were far better priced than the places that did have it, and were willing to work a little on the price. They were more than helpful answering all of my questions, and they led me in the right direction for a couple other things I was looking for as well. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking to make a firearms related purchase, and I will have no problem making the 2+ hour drive back there myself in the future. A+ all around!
