Awesome experience! We rented two paddleboards, and the rental included everything we needed, life vests, paddles and even the ratchet straps to secure them to our vehicle. Very friendly and helpful, they even helped load and secure everything for us! I will definitely be back to rent them again! We took the paddle boards to the Rampart Range Reservoir near Woodland Park.

Update after my visit mentioned further below:I honestly HATE to leave one star reviews but... I stopped by on 6/24 to reserve a kayak only to find out that their price (for a 4 hour rental) is $10 less on their website: The website says $45 but it was $55 in person. I pointed this out and no effort was made to match their advertised price, or do anything about it. When I let them know about their blunder the day before (closing before their Google listed/voicemail stated hours) the guy gave me an excuse about them having to fire someone. They arent accountable to their Google listing, their voicemail, OR their own website. The guy was friendly and all, but why would anyone do business with them if they make no effort to be accountable, or to assuage a bad customer experience? I know its only $10, but I cant justify doing business with them when they have made this many errors have done nothing to correct them. To add to it, their open sign was off today while they were actually open. These guys have earned this one star review after having a chance to make it a 5 star one.Stopped by at 5:30 on 6/23 and they were closed. Their Google listing said they were open until 6 as well as their voicemail. 3 stars is neutral, I’ll update this after I’ve actually done business with them.

The employees were very helpful.Even helped us load and how to strap down paddle board and kayak.The equipment was not perfect but was stilll great! Worked well.Would definitely recommend and come again!

I’m new to town and during my move my paddle board got a little banged up. Stopped in to get some guidance on repairing it and places to paddle around the city/mountains. Great advice and welcoming employees. Can’t wait to stop back in.

Pikes Peak Outfitters has always been super friendly and helpful when I have rented SUPs and kayaks. Their online reservation system is convenient and easy and I can book my kayak or SUP in advance without any hassle. The staff is great and answers questions and provides tips on the best experience. Highly recommended!

A friend called at the first of the week about picking up a rental on sunday for a trip on Monday. Person at the Anglers Covey/Pikes Peak Outfitter told him, sure just come on down on sunday. I went down on sunday to pick it up and was told that they don’t rent kayaks after Labor Day and they aren’t open on Sunday. They said Pikes Peak Outfitter is only open on Saturday.The guy at the Covey said they have had some personnel issues and maybe my friend talked to someone who didn’t work there anymore.I wouldn’t recommend this outfit to anyone. Totally ruined a fishing trip..

My husband and I rented kayaks here for a few hours yesterday! The guy helping us was EXCEPTIONAL. He was so very nice and informative and directed us to a beautiful lake, he also helped my husband secure them to the top of my SUV. He was hands down amazing and so fun to talk to and relatable!!! If we are ever in town again, we will definitely return!!!!

Pikes Peak Outfitter was a great place for us to rent a paddleboard during our camping trip in Woodland Park. Sean and Seth were both really helpful with our reservation, pick up and drop off. They made sure we had everything we needed and we will definitely use them to rent again in the future!

Great family owned business to shop at or get rentals from (though rentals are bit on the expensive side imo). Also wish they had more selection of brands vs who they are dealers for but the customer service out weighs those issues as I’ve never had a bad experience asking questions here and shopping.

Terrible customer service and operations. I booked a rental paddleboard for a trip I was to make to Colorado Springs for a wedding in August. After finding out I was not going to be able to travel, I called Pikes Peak to cancel my reservation. They never answered the phone. I left a voicemail. I emailed them. Called again and again with no reply. So I disputed the transaction with my bank which I just received a letter about from my bank saying Pikes Peak verified my purchase. So I paid for a rental that I didnt get to use because Pikes Peak Outfitter lacks any level of normal customer service and communication. Awful awful operations.

Super customer service. I went here a couple years ago and didnt have a great experience but have been going back for a few things since they support the Colorado Kayak Fishing Club. I stopped in during an angler covey sale and started talking to them. Well long story short Angel was so helpful I ended up buying a new kayak. Everyone was great, super helpful and very knowledgeable.

Absolutely awful place to rent camping gear. If you have a choice, do NOT choose this place. Out of the three tents we rented, one did not have any poles at all (just canvas and stakes), and the other two did not have at least half of the stakes needed. The sleeping bags were torn and poor quality. Had the weather been windy or inclimate in any way, we would have been really screwed. When we returned the gear and brought up this issue, they told us there is nothing we can do. For as unreasonably priced as this company is, I would expect that they could have done something.

I called ahead and asked about two person kayaks, which they said they had available. So I show up and lo and behold, they only have one one-person kayak. A waste of time. Does anyone know where else I can rent a kayak? Also, when we tried to rent one in advance I asked if we could cancel if there happens to be bad weather that day and they said no. 48 hour notice, full deposit, predatory business. Do not recommend.

Friendly and convenient when you need extra gear for those visiting relatives. The staff knows their stuff, too. A bit on the pricey side tho, but cheaper than anything around.

Check out boats carefully for function, broken parts. Had kayak rudder broken, but did not know untill I got to Tarryall

Rachel you are the best there is no other place that I would rather go to get my gear she has all the information and gear youll need to get out on the water if youre looking to get in to water sports as far as kayaking or paddle boarding this is your shop personally I bought 2 Hobbies compasses from Rachel and it was one of the best investments Ive ever made

Snotty staff. WAY overpriced. If you have paid off all your credit cards and are working to go cash only this is not the place for you. They want to take 800 dollars deposit for a canoe you could buy for 300 dollars and they will only take a debit card. Not worth the time to go to.
