I had an intake manifold replaced by this shop for $669.00 When I picked the vehicle up it wouldn’t get up to highway speed and the low oil pressure light repeatedly came on. So I took it back. They had the throttle cable on wrong. But they did fix that. Also I asked about the low oil pressure they said it may be a sensor. They wanted to charge me $100 + to check the sensor. Then said it could be a clogged pick up tube to the oil pump. He wanted over $400 dollars to check that. I said you probably got old gasket in the engine. He said “ I cleaned it up real good”. I took it apart myself there were acorns, pine needles and quite a bit of intake gasket pieces in the oil pan and the pick up tube. I cleaned it all out put the pan back on added new oil and filter. Now the truck runs perfectly. They got one star because the younger guy was friendly. Other than that I wouldn’t let this shop work on my sons hot wheels toys.

Great place to take your vehicle. My car was running really rough and the check engine light was on. They diagnosed and fixed it. Now it runs great. I dont feel like they over-charged for their work. Jessey gave me an estimate and that is what he charged. No hidden fees or other things I have come across in the past with auto repair shops. I will recommend D&K Auto Repair to anyone who needs repair work or maintenance done on their vehicle.

D & K Auto was referred to me by a trusted mechanic we have been using for years. Needless to say, our experience with D & K has been extremely disappointing.First, we like to be called in regards to what problems the mechanics find and how much the repairs will be. This is especially true in this situation since we were also having to get our car looked at for a transmission issue. We would like to know what the problem is and decide which repair we needed to prioritize (clearly the transmission is far more important than getting the air fixed). There was a lack of communication from D & K in regards to what was going on with our vehicle. When I finally got to talk to the man in charge (Doug) I was informed my car was fixed and ready for pick up. Never once did they contact me about the issues they found and got my permission to fix it. Also, they charged me $119 to put freon in my car, which I could have done myself!Secondly, we had the transmission people come and get the car for us since my wife and I were at work and couldnt leave that day to get it over there. The transmission issue got fixed, we get the car back, and the air on the drivers side blows HOT air, while the rest of the car is blowing cold air. Also, when we turn the heat on, the air in the rest of the car wont heat as well as it use to and the heated seats arent warming like they did before either. I called D & K back to have them fix the issues for us since they worked on the AC last; I felt they should cover the cost since this wasnt an issue before and the car was never back in our possession. Seems like good customer service to apologize, find the problem, and fix it. D & K refused to do the work at no cost. Now, granted, I understand its a business and they want to make money, but there is a level of responsibility as a mechanic to take responsibility for your work, which D & K seems to think doesnt apply to them.My experience with D & K has been nothing short of miserable from the get go. Please dont take your business there. The owner, Doug, is rude and has a communication problem. I have let my trusted mechanic shop know of my terrible experience so they would stop referring their customers to them as well. Finally, Im going to the Better Business Bureau to make a report on this business.
