I can’t say enough good things about The BonBonerie. Their bakery is delicious and the service is amazing. I’ve been here many times, but my experience today takes the cake (pun intended). I’d ordered an opera creme cake (a crowd favorite) to let my parents know they are finally going to be Grandparents. I was supposed to pick it up earlier in the day, but had what can only be described as a day from hell. I called the bakery at 3:57 (three minutes before close), to tell the them I couldn’t make it and ask them to freeze it until Monday. Without knowing the day I had, the young lady that answered, Amy, said,”Oh, well where do you live? Maybe I could drop it off after work?” Turns out she lives down the street and so she did drop it off. And to be honest, I have a feeling even if I wasn’t super close, she would have considered going out of her way to drop it off. She was just that kind of nice and caring. So long story not so short, if you haven’t already, definitely give this place a try. The care and service is above and beyond, as is the food.Thank you, Amy. I can’t explain well enough how much your kind gesture meant to me. Any business would be lucky to have an employee of your caliber.

We did a LOT of cake tastings for our wedding and there is a reason why the BonBonerie has been around for almost 40 years. They are the gold standard. We got a 3-tier cake (2 tiers white chocolate romance with raspberry jam and 1 tier white chocolate romance with lemon custard) and a variety of summer desserts (raspberry shorties and fruit tarts) for our wedding at the Lytle Park Hotel. As soon as the cake was cut, it was gone within 30 minutes. Our guests wouldnt stop raving about how delicious it was!Our contact, Allison, was so easy to work with and coordinated directly with our event planner to deliver everything the day-of so I didnt have to worry about a thing. She also perfectly communicated our design vision for our cake to the bakery – we loved the simplicity and the modern textures they created on the cake. She even gave us a complimentary coupon to get a small cake on our 1-year anniversary (the same flavor as our wedding cake), so we didnt have to freeze our topper!Trust these baking experts – they know what they are doing 😊

We had a great tea party at the BonBonerie, are server was the sweetest! It was a little crowded with many large parties on a busy Saturday in June, but they made it feel special and comfortable. We loved all of the teas we tried and enjoyed the food. It seemed like we had one/two of each type of sweet and sand which per person! Loved the macrons the most but the colorful ones will dye your mouth!!

We got our wedding cake through The BonBonerie for our May wedding and don’t regret a penny spent . Everybody raved about our wedding cake and they still talk about it! We went with white chocolate raspberry romance and the classic opera cream, both absolutely delicious.

This is a renowned Cincinnati bakery for a reason. They have beautiful cakes, cookies, and pastries and they all taste amazing. They are known for their opera cream cake. You can get a specialty cake done here for birthdays, weddings, and more.I particularly love their scones, and the sugar cookies are always beautiful and taste great. Parking can be tight in the lot behind the building, and there is also street parking. You can also stop in and eat inside their cafe and tea room. They have great sandwiches and salads. It is beautiful and definitely a unique stop.

Opera Cream Cake is our familys go to desert for celebrations. Because this cake is excellent, we come up with many reason to celebrate! We have likely purchased well over 50 cakes from BonBonerie.

Personally my favorite bakery! My wife and I decide to use the bakery for our wedding day and have 0 complaints. The entire process was made simple by their wedding department. They provided delicious Carmel walnut bars, cheesecake cupcakes, lemon bars, cookies, and even a cake for cutting. 100% recommend this bakery for weddings birthdays or just a quick stop for breakfast or lunch. I went there for some afternoon tea and was not disappointed. Everything was quite delicious. Would recommend to anyone looking for some good sweets! They also have the cutest dishes and silverware.

Just wow. The cookies I ordered for my nieces baby shower were as delicious as they were beautiful. Whether you live in Cincinnati or are just visiting, dont miss out on the delectable bakery goods made at the BonBonerie. Everything is top notch, but their macarons and opera cream cake are literally legendary delights.

There were four of us for lunch. I ordered soup and when it was served it wasnt the correct one. When I saw our waitress she was quick to correct the problem. She didnt bring the soup the first time.

As always there cakes are scrumptious. My son in law loves chocolate and what a better cake than the Opera Cream. If you want quality you must get your cakes from there! Highly recommend them!

The staff helped us create the perfect wedding cake. It was gorgeous and the cake was absolutely delicious! The staff members were very helpful and kept in contact with us the whole way until the day we picked it up.

Horrible owner. Has absolutely no respect for the residents who live on O Bryon street, not even the elderly or disabled who need to be able to park in front of their homes, but can’t because this store’s customers are constantly taking up space. Horribly depraved woman here who has no regard for the community. On that alone, there are better businesses to support. Will never buy from here again.

Its a tradition in our family to have a Bon Bonnerie cake for the birthdays. My son loves our cat so he wanted a cat cake for his birthday. I think it came out cute! Opera cream is the classic but I really like when they do the seasonal berry fillings or their chocolate torte cakes. You can also buy cake by the slice which is unique. Parking can be a pain if theres no spots in the small lot. Four of us enjoyed an afternoon tea at the Bonbonerie. The staff and hostesses were all very nice and attentive. The food was very tasty. My one complaint is that the value for the dollar is very low. The portions were tiny! The sandwiches were small. The scones, cookies and brownies were minuscule. Even though the quiche was some of the best I’ve ever had, it would be hard to imagine a smaller piece. For the price of the tea I would expect full-size scones or at least one full-size “rose” cookie apiece! So, maybe I’d return for baked goods or sandwiches but definitely not for an afternoon tea.

The opera cream cake tasted like sadness and disappointment feel. Ive never had a cake that had icing that tasted like uncooked flour....until today. The cake portion was also EXTREMELY dry. If thats what youre looking for, definitely buy this one! If not, please dont give people the gift of disappointment that is this garbage cake.

Stopped by randomly on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Lots of options to choose from. A local teen who comes in regularly gave us a bunch of recommendations. The atmosphere of the place was comfy and positive. We decided to split a piece of cake (it was seasonal and cant remember the name) and it was amazing. Im pretty sure there is not a bad tasting thing at that place.

Cute place to have good food and to spend time with your loved ones. They offer variety of tea and some amazing sandwiches and the lavender soda drink was something unique. Overall great service and ambience. I would definitely visit again and try something more.

With the pandemic, we had to alter our wedding cake from a classic 3 tier to a single 9 tier cake and it was perfect. It was very simple, we absolutely loved how it turned out, and of course it tasted just as good as it looked! (which surprisingly doesnt happen with most wedding cakes, unless its from BonBonerie).After our tasting in the spring, our Wedding date soon became booked up due to the rescheduled weddings in 2020. We are so grateful that BonBonerie agreed to still accommodate us, despite their busy schedule. It did not go unnoticed or unappreciated, so thank you staff for all your incredible work. We will be enjoying your delicious Lemon Romance cake on 9/26/21!

The Bonbonerie wedding team is a dream come true! Allison and Jacki are so sweet and very quick to respond whenever we had questions. The tasting was fun and included very generous portions of each cake we wanted to try. Our cake itself was beautiful and delicious, and they even delivered on a Sunday for our wedding. We can’t recommend the Bonbonerie enough!

Bonbonerie has, hands down, the best cakes and baked products in Cincinnati. The cakes range from just sweet enough do decadent. No matter the level of sweetness, they are all beautifully decorated. The opera cream torte is their most popular, but I personally prefer the chiffon cakes. As for cookies, my favorite is the Coney island heart, which is a shortbread filled with a jam. The iced cookies range in design from elegant to playful and make perfect gifts. The marzipan is amazing, as are the lemon torts. For the Brit in your life, fresh scones and fresh clotted cream.Long story short, you will be hard pressed to find a bad dessert, but there are no sugar free options I have ever seen, so diabetics beware.I cant speak to the taste of the regular food.I can speak to the serenity and beauty of the outside sitting area, as well as the customer service. I am so glad my friend turned me on to this place last year.

Great place...But they need better system lines way too long!! Took 45 minutes to get my cake! Have someone outside taking payments! Need better system for quick check out. Cake was awesome!!

Highly overpriced, highly overrated.Im sure if you live in Hyde Park you love this place...their seasonal coconut cake for Easteris not good. First of all the coconut should be toasted, as for the cake itself pretty dry.also the layers are very uneven but they hide that with lots of icing.the raspberry lemon cake once again uses the same dry white cake then with a very generic tasting raspberry cream icing. would expect to see a raspberry jam or preserve.the customer service was not that welcoming either, the typical Hyde Park nose in the air.seems this place is turned into quantity over quality. you can put in a fancy pink bagbut at the end of the day its dry cake.

THE place for birthday cakes! Featured on the dessert menues of the citys top restaurants, the opera creme cake is the very definition of decadence. Their hours are somewhat limited, so check before you go. The small Lunch cafe is very nice.

Delicious pastries, cakes and special treats. European style quality and they can tailor to your needs but at a premium price. Parking can be a challenge. Go elsewhere for donuts and coffee but this is one of Your best options in the city for that special occasion.

Had high tea for a bachelorette party and it was good! The quiche is *chefs kiss* and the teas were all so good! Bought a couple of loose leaf because we liked it much. Def get a reservation if possible.

The size may not be the same the price has inched up a bit but the quality and taste have not changed. I am not the sane either so I bought a slice not a whole cake safer that way

Food was great. Atmosphere very cute. However, we had a couple different servers and the service was very slow. We sat for quite a while before anyone finally acknowledged us and that just continued. Very disappointing considering we dropped $200 in the bakery on an order. We were so excited to finally get to eat in the tea room for the first time.....

Best fancy bakery I know of on East side of Cincy, but I have had better in other cities. I guess my tastes are changing ...I used to love their cakes, but I now find them too sweet. The small items, particularly the iced molasses cookies sometimes contain too much clive, are still really good. Also the salted caramel cupcakes. Pricy.

So many fabulous flavors of these wonderful cake it will have you wanting all the flavors. We had 3 flavors Amerito✔, lemon Romance & white with strawberry filling (✔too good). At that appointment you talk style, design you want and guest estimate. They will estimate cost and you can give deposit to save the date if you decide to use them.I thought they would be outragously costly, rumored by many, but I was greatly surprise how reasonable they was compared to others. From $600 up you can have an unbelievable cake that not only looks beautiful and fabulous taste your guests will 💘 love. Costs vary from the design, flavors, amount of people.They also have a tea room for lunchs and more. A bakery to buy rolls, cakes and so many yummy items. These items may be pricier than some but the wow factor of taste cant be beat!Once you try them you will know why they have awards.

The Bon Bonerie is a true hidden gem in the Heart of O’Bryonville...I was stunned by the lengths this place went to fulfill my daughters dream since she was a little girl...for almost two months I have been in contact w a bakery worker named Amy...she bent over backwards to make sure my daughter, who dreams of being a baker someday and possibly having her own shop, had a most memorable birthday...During our cake tasting Amy made sure to answer any and all of our questions from macaroons to cake designs, colors, and flavors...she really was a wealth of knowledge...after the tasting we went to the cafe underneath and had an unforgettable afternoon tea with all the traditional English accompaniments, each tiered layer outdoing the previous...the spinach and Asiago quiche was to die for...We had 3 different teas suggested by our server Lauren and each one was better than the last..we also ordered the Ham and Brie sandwich and it was utterly delicious...the flavor profile was out of this world! Hats off to the genius that created it! The tea room was an eclectic mix of antique China pieces, saucers, and creamers amidst playful artwork...I have waited for 15 years to try this place out and it did not disappoint...can’t wait to see and try my daughters sweet sixteen cakes next weekend!

I called in from Denver to order a Birthday cake for a friend who lives in the area. I called later in the afternoon and they still got the cake before 5PM! My sister took me, my mom and my other sister out for Saturday tea. I had the Reiki blend which was sublime. The sandwiches and pastries were heavenly. Loved it! Have your tea inside or there is also a garden in back.

We opted for pick up and we accidently took the board. However we werent hassled and returned it a day or so later. They have wonderful cupcakes as well.
