My new favorite place for a quiet lunch. Peacefull surroundings, friendly staff, and great menu. The food was served fast and prepared well.
I bought two pies were good but they don’t show updated price on line the price is outrages for there whole pies
Owner thinks covid is a hoax. She was outside talking to a customer about it. I was happy to hear her say that before we ordered anything. We just left.
Great service and atmosphere! Chicken Curry Salad Sandwich was amazing
Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTravelsGreat little find in a nice small historical district of town. Small menu but good with friendly service. I had one of the best chicken salad sandwiches Ive ever had. Definitely worth going a little out of the way for. Diane had turkey and provolone and she enjoyed it so much she forgot to offer me a taste 😀. We picked up some awesome looking cookies for the road to try later. Definitely recommended 👍👍
Quaint neighborhood bakery. The scones are to die for. I will be back!!!!
Love, love, love the asparagus, dried tomato, bacon quiche. Great place to visit my friend Ricklie when Im in Ohio!
Bluebird Bakery is a taste of an America that has been immortalized in Norman Rockwell illustrations. The quaint façade nestled in an historical cul-de-sac within Glendale, beacons you to come in for scratch made pastries and an easy lunch. Jenny and team get going plenty early to ensure that the case is filled with scones, danish, and cookies of many varieties. The various pastries and full sized pies make me want to throw a party just to have more reasons to share this goodness, and keep extra slices for myself!Lunch is a relaxed affair; inside the cafe, where the original wood interior pieces remind one of a simpler time, or outdoors where you can experience the trains and the happy rumble as they roll by. The Curry Chicken salad is my favorite to be stuffed into a croissant, with some pouring out for my fork to snare. When your family and friends come into the Bluebird Bakery for lunch, PLEASE save room for dessert! Youll thank me!
Incredibly rude staff. We came in for breakfast and the owner told us she was slammed and sick of making breakfast sandwiches. She told us we could go to her other location and then come back if we wanted to sit outside. We decided to get coffee and then the pump coffee was out and the owner continued to be very rude about having to get more coffee for us. The owner then made a breakfast sandwich for the person behind us and explained that they were a regular. I was incredibly embarrassing and we could not for her to get the coffee out so we could leave. Unreal.
The pie is amazing but the employees have bad attitudes and arent super helpful as you can see with previous reviews. We had these pies at our wedding and received so many compliments but I cant support a business that brushes off customers in a pandemic when people are just trying to shop local. Also, I would HIGHLY recommend changing the time you close on your website and not just Google.
Stopped in for some breakfast this morning to eat outside with family. The owner was incredibly rude and we were told that if we were ordering breakfast sandwiches, we needed to drive up the street to the “to go” location. My brother in law and his wife had just ordered breakfast sandwiches and were eating them outside. The lady who was behind us in line ordered a breakfast sandwich as we were walking out. Anyway........Drove up the street to bluebird to go. Ordered 5 breakfast sandwiches. The lady who took our order was clearly upset and was throwing things around the kitchen? We got our food, drove BACK to the cafe to eat with our family, and we only had 4 sandwiches. Called the Togo location and she said she would have it ready for us to pick up. My husband drove over there AGAIN to grab it, and the woman was super catty about it and told him we only paid for 4 and she “misheard” us when we ordered. What even just happened? Won’t visit here again.
Such great service by friendly employees. High quality treats for low prices (I got a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit plus four scones for $11). They have a great selection here and I got my order very quickly (less than 5 minutes). Be mindful that they have a $10 minimum charge for using a card.Update: I would say that the breakfast sandwich I had was just okay. I threw away half of it. On the other hand, the scones were good.
Excellent food. When I come from Shelbyville, KY to bring my sewing machines in for service. I make it a point to eat at Bluebird Bakery.
Great locally owned cafe with culture and good service.
The best soups in town. I had the potato ham soup with a tuna sandwich ona croissant.
We bought a dozen cookiesThe peanut butter cookies were softThe chocolate chips cookies was like trying to eat a rock
Love this bakery. So nice to have local bakery with fresh baked and not mass produced bakery items. Also love that the have seating and lunch fare.
This is such a cute, quaint place with plenty of outdoor seating. I went for the first time this morning and the macaroons are the BEST Ive ever tasted. Crispy outside with a savory chocolate center--absolutely delicious! The customer service was great also. I do wish they had more coffee drink options on the menu, but the macaroons make up for that!
Over priced. But good
Picked up pies for our staff for the holidays and they were all absolutely delish! I forgot to place an order ahead of time but even when they ran out of pies they made dessert boxes with everything they could to help me out. Super delish!
A bit pricy, yet never disappoints!!
3 stars because while everything smelled wonderful I experienced poor service. After calling in the morning about a specific pie and being told they were first come first serve (couldnt even pay with my card over the phone!) I drove up there. Only to stand in line and watch as they pulled the last pie and HELD IT FOR SOMEONE ON THE PHONE. I pointed out this discrepancy and was scoffed at. After 2 workers consulted in a back room I was able to take the pie with much eye rolling and sighing on the counter ladys part. This poor customer service left a very bad taste in my mouth. I will not be back.
Best in town. NEVER disappointed.
Great quiche and bakery items. Must have are the lemon bars
My buddy and I stopped in for coffee last week. The young lady working the bakery was super nice and helpful. The coffee was great and the grandola was the best i have ever had. The owner came out and spoke to us for a few minutes as we sat and enjoyed the coffee. She was also very nice, I would highly recommend checking this spot out!
This is such a quaint and lovely spot in this cute historic neighborhood. The food is definitely made from scratch with love. I feel like I’m at my auntie’s house for breakfast. It’s so nice to be able to find a spot like this when traveling!
Okay by far one of the best bakeries I have found. They make baked goods the old-fashioned way with love and care that tastes amazing. Have to watch your waist though. You can eat too much but feel amazing doing it. As well as having amazing brewed coffee from Seven Hills Roasting Company. I have two for the season is there pumpkin pie which I found mind-blowing. Also their quiche was very delicious.
So glad I stopped in here, they have an amazing menu, you could go here every day for five year’s and never have the same thing twice. Drinks were absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to get back in there for something new!
Tuna salad and egg salad sandwiches were very good. Brought home desert for tonight, looks wonderful.
Bluebird has become our go-to for morning fare like scones. The couple times I have gotten lunch there was also very good. Just yesterday had a meatloaf sandwich on a croissant, really good.
I’m diabetic and I would eat Jenny’s buckeyes until I went into a coma. The breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, cheese on croissant) is consistently well-made and delicious.
Best sandwiched macaroon I have ever had. Got 2 to go before I left. Had the pecan coffee cake, it was the best Ive had in years. Those macaroons half dipped in chocolate are worth the trip.Staff was very friendly. Restaurant was clean. I wanted to try everything! The tortes all look so lovely. Will be back. Small tea selection, 3 or 4 different kinds of bags, single serving Coffee Mate French Vanilla creamer or Coffee Mate original powdered creamer. I didnt have coffee, but my friend said hers was very good.
This place was AWESOME!! The staff was great, food was exceptional, it is just a happy place!! Definitely coming back in October when here for a water polo tournament! Try it,youll love it!! Jim Reardon
Always a pleasant stop. Great baked goods and lovely atmosphere. Staff is attentive and kind. Definite place to sit and chat or for a quick stop.
Delicious.
My family of seven came here after my 10 yr old daughter, an avid baker, found it while out with her daddy. There truly is something for everyone! Our daughter, who does not like sweet treats, enjoyed a scone, while I enjoyed the Dark Chocolate Lovers Torte. Obviously, I do like sweets! There is delicious hot chocolate, soups and sandwiches. I’ll have to come back to try the lunch fare.
Oh. My. Gosh. The quiche! The scones! The cookies! All that plus excellent soups and sandwiches, all served up in a comfy, classic, old hometown setting.Whether dining inside or out you wont be disappointed with the food or the atmosphere.Be sure to take the time to tour the quaint shops just steps away.
My parents and I️ would frequent this bakery when I️ was a small child. I️ remember getting those frosted smiley face cookies. Very quickly after my engagement, my parents suggested we use Blue Bird for our wedding cake. The ordering process couldn’t have been easier, and I️ can’t wait to enjoy a treat from Blue Bird once more on our wedding day.
So happy i found this place! The lady helping me was so amazing! I told her i had never been there ans she gave me the run down on everything and didnt make me feel rushed or anything. I built my own smoothie and it was amazing. There are so many options to choose from. And the coolest part is they have old school sodas. I didnt try one but i will next time. The customer service is one of a kind.
Had great coffee, great interactions with staff and the owner. Overall fun time.
The pie is Devine. The lunch is Superb. Choose whatever adjectives you want - just get the berry pie and chicken salad on a croissant and you’ll be happy as a goose.
Ya so this place is really cute and attractive. My only problem was I went in for a speciality coffee and they dont sell those....soo I went back out.....so I really cant tell ya if their stuff is good. By the amount of people there Id say it must be.
This place has good pie, scones, and a very relaxed atmosphere. Its very cute and worth stopping into. Its not always the tightest ship of offerings and service at the counter depending on the time of day, but as long as youre willing to take it easy and understand its a small business with a small staff, you wont be disappointed. Key lime pie here is a favorite.
Love the different flavors of scones
Great!
I work down the street at forest park automotive and this place is truly amazing the small family owned food, environment, and the baked goods are all amazing!! They put heart in soul into everything they make! Dont hesistate to stop in and try anything everything on their menu is great! Ive had most of it!
I had the chicken salad on a croissant with a glass of ice tea. A perfect light lunch. The in house chicken salad is to die for... and you can get it on a bed of lettuce if you are trying to cut carbs. That said I took a coconut cream pie to go... to share with the office. It disappeared!
Cozy bakery that serves a nice lunch. Soup was very good. And i really enjoyed the pecan pie.
Im pretty sure this is the best bakery in Cincinnati and I have been to plenty. The atmosphere is quaint and beautiful. The coffee is local roasted coffee from Silverbridge and the baked goods are to die for. Their sweets arent loaded with sugar so you get the full bite of real flavor without the mask of sugar overload. Get the coconut cream pie or any of their cakes. Its the best. The staff and regulars are always friendly and welcoming. They really add to the atmosphere. I come here as often as I can whenever Im in the area.
Great food. Beautiful atmosphere sitting outside in Glendale Square. Stepping back in time. All the girls are as sweet as the pastries!!!
Great atmosphere! Delicious food! Friendly employees!
Excellent bakery, good spot for lunch for soups and sandwiches. They sell their pies and cakes by the slice.
Stopped by this place just before 4:30pm (sign on the doors and outside said they close at 6pm- 3 signs all say 6pm). We both got a piece of pie and said we would eat there. After ringing us out they said we could stay until they left, which I thought was a little odd since it was over 90 minutes until closing. We stayed maybe 10 minutes to eat our pie. They had already locked one door before we left and locked the other seconds after we left. Just seemed rude and rushed. If a place needs to close early thats fine, but please tell me before I place my order. The pie was good though. Just a super weird environment.
Adorable cafe with great food in a beautiful, quaint town
Quiche & yogurt/fruit cup a proper breakfast. Locals made people watching & interactions fun.
Cozy spot. Great for lunch.
The ambiance is nice and some friends and I went in for dessert. I was very excited when I saw the word tortes, cos I love tortes. We selected 3 different slices. I had the salted caramel one, as I was told that this was the most delicious. We were all disappointed. I am used to tortes with jams, fruit, mousse and fresh cream. The 3 that we had, all appeared to be held together and covered with only very sweet hard buttercream. I tried to eat it, but ended up removing the buttercream and the little cake that remained was very dry. My friends didnt like theirs either. Maybe the lunches are better.
Another great lunch at Bluebird. Good service. Cool and clean.
Cant pick anything wrong here, its all good!
Excellent food! The spinach & bacon quiche was phenomenal! Quaint & quiet atmosphere.
Always good their mushroom soup in the summertime is to die for. Also they have a watermelon gazpacho that is so good
Wonderful bakery. Everything is home made. Cute location
A great place to go for coffee and baked goods in the a.m.. Great food for lunch and after work.
Quaint restaurant, with good sandwiches and the best pie in the city.
Best scones in the tri-state! Never too crowded nor too busy to lose great customer service!
Im here every Friday for the amazing curry chicken salad and pie. Mmmmm delicious.

Popular and close to home, live the sweets.
Great service, nice people, cute atmosphere, and quiche and coffee were amazing.
Really cute place with yummy baked goods!
Best carrot cake ever!! We will definitely be back!
Yummy cookies that our grandson loved.
Great chicken salad on croissant! Cute place!
Nice bakery but if you are out of bread and I take your leftovers because my kid is starving and the only croissant is smashed and half the size of a regular croissant, because that is what is left, I am very surprised that was charged full price for the sandwich
Fantastic desserts and other snacks. The people who work here are very friendly too.
Delicious
The cream cheese scone was fabulous!
Owner is very friendly! Best pie in Cincinnati!
Great little local bakery. Havent had a bad thing yet
