Was hit by car which damaged my rim on my Vanmoof e-bike which needed replacing. Couldnt for the life of me find any shop to work on my bike until I came across these guys. They had bike out the door the same day $80 cheaper than originally quoted. Very happy with there professionalism.

I got a flat tire in the south loop at 10:30PM on a Saturday night. My friend and I walked over to the bike shop hoping to find a pump outside, but actually found the owner, Carmichael, and his friends enjoying a beautiful night next to the shop. Carmichael opened the shop and brought me a bike pump, but when my tube exploded completely, he allowed me to store the bike in his shop overnight. My friend and I enjoyed a couple beers with great people, the next day I came back and the bike was all fixed up in no time. Great shop, with great service, and great people. Would highly recommend!

Awesome local bike shop. Stopped in a few months ago to get my kids tire fixed. They couldnt do it because they didnt have the part. They referred me to a neighboring shop who got it done. Went in today to fix the bikes handlebars they, they had me in and out in 5 minutes with a smile. Good stock of older cycles too!

I have been going here for parts, service and quick tune ups for years. They are always serviceable and usually they are able fix something minor right away. Highly recommended for service.

Always get fast service when I have a flat that needs to be fixed.

I called to ask first to see if they’re open. Once I confirmed it was open, I asked if they carried smaller tires for folding bikes. The person on the phone was very condescending, telling me that they’re backlogged and that I could put in smaller tires and ride it till they burst. I then asked what’s the best way to handle an issue like mine, or if I could order the tires through their shop and have it installed when they come in, and the person on the phone basically scoffed at me and told me that it’d be 2 months or longer for the tires to come in. They offered basically no help and told me to go somewhere else.

Apparently the people who work here think its cool to use their customers numbers to send them unwanted text messages asking them out. Careful ladies. Lookin at you, Dutch-bag.

Great experience at the cycle shop. Quick service, turned my bike repair around in 18 hours. Went above the repair quote and serviced other lose parts that they saw with no extra charges. Fair prices also.

This guy is a perfect gentleman. He charged me $5 for tuning the gear shift of my bike. Fixed it immediately. The store is huge with a large number of bikes. I was looking around the store, most products were reasonably prices. In order to support this local business, Ill prefer to my biking products from this store, rather than Amazon.

So as a avid rider I look for certain things in a shop and was surprised here, I didnt know bout it b4 visiting upstairs neighbor, when I went in the owner was cool and very knowledgeable I noticed he was also a wheel builder which in my view makes him more the guy is like to talk with cuz he knows his craft well sure slot of people turn wrenches but he knows the intricacies of wheel building

Fixed my brakes that I had totally f999ed up for a totally reasonable price while I waited. Also ran into an old friend so fifth star auto.

Great experience. Came In with a flat, and it was immediately tended to. Employees checked the tube to see if it could be repaired, or needed it, and then quickly changed it out and serviced bike. Fair prices, quick and accurate work.

Keeps it simple. Doesnt try to upsell me (even though its apparent I could use a better bike). Gets good work done reliably at a good price.

Incredibly helpful people. They charged a fair price for a new tire after mine blew on the lakefront trail. Also they had an adorable dog.

FANTASTIC bike shop, GREAT service, AWFUL website. Sad really, theyd be a 5 star if their website wasnt like something out of Geocities circa 1999.Dont let a bad site stop you from visiting though. The super sweet old dog that guards the place alone makes it worth a visit.

Have to give a 5 star for the friendly owner. He adjusted my bike for free that I feel I need to buy something there. Almost like a family working atmosphere there, I saw them BBQ outdoor at summer Sundays, must be fun to work there!

My brand new folding bike chirped. I took it here and the guy (Carmichael) fixed it while I waited and charged me a nominal fee. My only regret is that I wish I had cash on hand to contribute to their beer fund jar. Next time definitely. 😍

Great service - walked in with a punctured tire and walked out less than 10 min later with the problem solved. The price was very reasonable and better than near by competitors. I would definitely come back again and recommend this bike shop to friends.

I wish a had something positive to say because I was very excited coming into this vintage bike shop. Unfortunately this place is hit or miss, but my experience has been mostly miss. They seem to take no pride in their workmanship. I find myself paying them for the work and then going home and correcting errors. Pricing is also very inconsistent, one week you get charged one thing and for the same labor two weeks later youre charged a higher price. Very unenthusiatic and unwelcoming atmosphere is the vibe that Ive received from the employees, maybe Im not part of the inner circle.

Carmichael and team are the best. I would never buy or service a bike anywhere else in the city. They really are experts but they are also super helpful and friendly. I bought my bike from Cycle five years ago and it is in top condition thanks to Carmichael and team.

I came here to grab a helmet now that Im a divvy-er and they didnt treat me like a second rate citizen! The shop was pretty busy even though it was just before close on a Friday. They had a great selection and I was able to grab what I needed. If I ever got serious about city biking, this would be my place - the staff was very friendly despite their rugged look!

Terrible customer service. Made up every excuse in the world to not let me test ride a bike. But the lady ahead of me had no issues with test riding a bike. And before you ask, yes she was. I will never return to this place.

This place rocks, had my quick release break leaving my rear tire unattached. Called the store (already closed). Owner said come on in Ill wait for you. Then further exceeded my expectations and replaced the part for free.They just earned a customer for life.

I went in looking for a square taper bottom bracket nut for my commuter. the owner went back and rummaged around for like 5 minutes and returned with one. he was only gonna charge me 25 cents, but all i had was my credit card. he just told me to leave a quarter next time i was in the shop and gave it to me for free. ill definitely be back to spend more money here.

Fair price Service but flar tore fix cost $20

Both my tires were flat when I took my bike to this shop- they told me I just needed to replace the tubes. 3 days of cycling later and my back tire is flat again.

Installed a new tube and tire on my wheel within minutes. No wait, no appt., and for less than the larger bike shops in the area.

I brought my bike in with a flat tire. The same tire went flat the next day. They suggested I replace the chain. The chain broke less than 6 months later. I will never return.

My daughter’s bike that I just assembled was not working for some reason. I came in after calling. They fixed it and threw on another training wheel when I realized one was cracked.20 minutes in and out and they didn’t charge me!

Brought my bike in for 2 issues. It wasnt braking properly and it wasnt shifting properly. I was charged for both repairs and on the ride home found that neither were fixed. I guess the mechanic gave up.
