I am obsessed with my new bike! The staff here was so cool. They let me test the bikes over and over with so much patience. Fitted me for the bike and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I worked with Frank and he was a Gem! Totally recommend this store.

Had an awesome experience with the whole team at Chicagoland Bicycle! Susan was super helpful in explaining the features of the different bikes and was even able to reserve me the one I wanted that was on order. I showed up to pick up my new bike and the team was explaining all the features as they were finishing up the final touches. Walked out extremely happy with an awesome new Trek. I highly recommend this shop for all your bike needs!

The owner or representative who assisted me or should I say didn’t assist me was very short and offered no helpful information. Not knowledgeable at all. I asked how would I determine the correct size bike for me. He said he had no idea...he had no idea about anything...Couldn’t give me any info about types of bikes...what to look for...nothing! After Googling...I found out that you need to use your height and weight to match up to the appropriate bike. I guess this guy didn’t know that...I would NOT recommend this business at all...

I showed up on a whim based on a recommendation. Ive been out if the mb scene for about a decade. Great pricing and extremely helpful. The guy I spoke to was clearly knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They had the last Trek Marlin 6 left probably in the state. I love this thing and the color is perfect. I also brought in my 15 year old Jamis hardtail and they gave me an estimate to get it tuned back up. All around, great experience and friendly staff. Plan on making them my goto place from now on.

So over the past few weeks I have called around to the local bike shops near the area in which I live to replace a chain and bike pedals on my 29in Schwinn mountain bike..one place actually looked at my bike and told me that he would sale me a chain replacement tool because he was too overwhelmed with service to attend to my bike. I left him the worst service ever. Another one wanted me to bring the bike today, however, I left my mom house and was headed in the direction to Hazel Crest to visit the location. I noticed Chicagoland Bicycle Trek Bicycles and I can tell you that they are prompted with their service and fast. I dropped the bike off there and within an hour or two my bike was finished!!!! I will definitely return to purchase other items and service on my bike!!!!THANK YOU GUYS ONCE AGAIN FOR PROVIDING QUALITY AND SPEEDY SERVICE!!!!!!!!

This place is extremely pricey they have bikes that are being repaired mixed with bikes that are for sale all the bikes are over priced and even the used bikes aren’t worth buying for the price they sell the used bikes you can buy a brand new one. They as soon as you walk in the door your spending $80 they won’t touch your bike u less you pay the $80 service fee. Your better off YouTubing any repair you need done and doing it yourself.

Took my daughters bike in to be serviced. Actually took two bikes in. One I was told with labor replacement of the rotted out tires would be $150+. The second, a small huffy, supposedly only needed an intertube - the labor charged was more than the intertube. Less than a week later and the other tire, the one I was told was fine, is completely flat and the nozzle is pushed in so far I cant even attempt to put air in it. Plus, when I came to retrieve the bike after supposedly being fixed, it was left so close to the front door you had to step around it to get into the place. If you didnt want the business, just say so. Not impressed. Would not recommend.

The guys/gal at the shop were nice, informative, and helpful with our (me and my son) on the purchase of his new bike. Hes a big kid and they helped us choose a bike that he can grow with, a seat that he was comfortable with, and even helped him with his water bottle selection. And the good thing for me is that they take care of the first tune up. And if he has any quirks with bike just bring it in. So I am happy with my purchase, their service, and salemanship.

So glad I went and got a second opinion about my bike. I saved myself $425 by NOT going to this store. Either the mechanic was trying to rip me off or he really had no idea how to tune my bike up. Either way I will not be setting foot inside this store ever again even though it is only two blocks away from my house. I found a different store that was able to tune my bike up into better condition that its been running for years. Thats where I will be buying my familys bicycles for years to come.

As the 2021 biking season is approaching, I am quickly reminded; yet again, to share my experience from this bike shop from last year....and here we are...finally! Being that I am a resident of Evergreen Park, Chicagoland Trek Bicycles is within minutes from my home, so If I needed repair or immediate assistance, they were the most ‘convenient’ option. One day during the summer of ‘20, I brought my bicycle in so they can inspect and repair my rear tire. Let me preface that I had purchased new front and rear tires and inner tubes the day prior from another Trek retailer. The owner called the following morning to inform me that the cause of my flat was due to ‘poor installation’, ‘too much air pressure’ in inner tube. After he advised me, I had asked if he could also inspect the front tire as well, as a precaution of course, only because I would think as a repairman that’s what he’d do anyway AND because I had just gotten the equipment installed the day prior. The owner stated that he would charge me another installation fee of $35 to correct TREK’s error, if he were to inspect the front tire! To that, I simply said to him that it didn’t make sense to charge such an egregious rate just to inspect a tire, considering the chance that it could be fine....which it was! I guess as a business owner and an active member in the community, he didn’t think that having humility would come a long way. He replied in a manner to which it seemed I may have offended him. It caught me by surprise because in my 39 years of living, never once had a business owner or any person(s) who is a representative of a place of business ever displayed the level of unprofessionalism that he did. As I was trying to be diplomatic and get him to understand things from the customers point of view, he basically told me to ‘go to hell’ and hung up the phone! I called back immediately and the head foreman answered and apologized for the owner’s behavior...and he stated that he would do the repair himself and will not charge me an additional fee to inspect the front tire.*WOW*I know this was a lot for something so small, but I made a point to say all of this because I value customer service and the customer ‘experience’! I live walking distance from this shop and after this debacle, I wouldn’t even refill air in my tires from them. Now, I either drive to Beverly Bike and Ski on 91st and Western or Irv’s bike shop in Pilsen for scheduled maintenance. I just want fair treatment, a place where I don’t feel like I’m requesting services that feel bothersome, a place where I feel at home, but most importantly, a shop where I don’t feel like I’m over paying for service.

Highly recommended!!! I just purchased a Schwinn bike from Target and not even riding it for 2 weeks I knew right away something wasnt right about it. I googled around, found this place and knew they been around for years. So instead of buying another bike, I took a chance with their tune up service. Within minutes of bringing it in, the owner I believe, told me right away the handle bars and brakes were installed wrong. I just picked it up today and what a CRAZY DIFFERENCE it made! Hours later I already took my wifes bike in because her bike was from Wal-Mart and worst than mine. She would have to pedal CONSTANTLY regardless of what gear she was on just to get anywhere with that bike. I cant wait to get it back for her. So if you have an old bike that just doesnt seem right, give this company a chance with your bike..might save you hundreds in the long run. The customer service was great. Friendly. I came across at least 4-5 employees and every single one was friendly, helpful, not rude at all. Makes you feel welcome, almost like family. As a small business owner myself, I know first hand this is exactly what keeps businesses around for years and years just like these guys. Keep doing what you doing and thank you for taking good care of my bike, soon to be bikes.

Big room for improvement!I have been there a couple of times, and the people there make me feel like I am forcing them to do me a favor for free. Their customer service skills need to improve. Maybe it is the same attitude that many (not all of them) Mt Greenwood residents have (arrogant, cocky, domineering). One time I was looking for a part. They charged me for the part and labor and wanted to change the part themselves and keep the bike there for 2 weeks without asking what I wanted to do. Thats what the brick & mortar stores need to improve on in order to compete with Amazon and all the online stores

Bad service – went in to have a broken gear cable repaired. After the mechanic looked at the bike, he claimed it would be $110 +tax. I said WHAT! He tried to sell me a chain, a gear cassette, and oh yeah, the gear cable. BTW - the chain is just two years old and was fine condition. I ask, how much for just the gear cable? $31. When asked for just the gear cable, he politely offered to keep my bike to for 2 WEEKS. No thanks.BTW – had the bike checked at another bike shop and the gear cassette and chain were fine as I thought. After a slight chuckle, 30 mins, and $31 my bike is fixed and I’m back to riding with the kids.

Been coming here since it was Richards, and Chicagoland has carried the tradition of being a friendly, knowledgeable, neighborhood bike shop. They have everything from entry-level Huffy bikes to top-of-the-line full-fledged racing road bikes. They can fix anything that may go wrong, and offer friendly advice when its time to upgrade. Before you buy big-box or online, give them a try. You wont regret it!

Our entire family was in the market for new bikes and spent all summer looking (mainly online) and like most couldn’t decide or get questions we had answered properly. Since our family is younger we needed a small buggy tow behind (for 2 little ones) and new bikes for me and my wife. The day we walked into this shop was a ginormous difference maker! Fred and Ben went out of their way to make our experience one of the BEST the wife and I ever had!!!! They both patiently answered our questions, fitted us to make sure our bikes were the right size, assembled the tow behind carrier and literally walked us through every aspect of our new purchases front to back. It’s not often I leave any retail establishment smiling ear to ear but these guys managed to Exceed every expectation we had and these guys just gained a customer for LIFE!If you want a painless, professional environment with some of the best staff you will ever meet SHOP HERE you will not be disappointed! Thanks guys!
