I had an appointment and my vehicle was pulled into the shop shortly after I arrived. I did not experience any issues during my visit. Thumbs up!!
I took my car in because the front tire was loosing air. I bought the tires from them with a road hazard warrenty. When I went to pick up my car and have them replace the tire, they couldnt find the paperwork and my key was sitting on the counter. My husband talked to them and agreed to order the tire as it would be cheaper. We had an appointment with them to bring it in at 5:30 and they would replace the tire by 6pm. I got there at 5:25 and no one was up front finally the guy showed up and said it would be done by 6 when they closed. We waited and at 6:30 they hadnt touched my car. I asked for the keys and wont go back there.

I was in for tire replacement for my vehicle. I dropped the car at 10am, and called at 3:30 because I hadn’t heard from them. It was next in line for alignment. Then I called back at 5 and was told it wouldn’t be ready until the next day. Upon being called the next day and going to pick up vehicle, I stood at check-out for at least 20 minutes, waiting on them to figure out my bill. I won’t be going back.

Extremely slow service, they try to find every excuse not to serve you. I arrived at 8AM in the morning only to be told even if I waited in person my simple service would not be done till noon. (4 hrs later). I was second in line that morning. I only wanted a tire repair and a oil change.
Probably won’t take our vehicle back because we had to take our car back 3 times for the same problem they said was fixed. Every time they put it on a machine to check diagnostics it was more. They would of test drove it like I was told they were doing they would of heard engine. Now they decide to test drive it and say our transmission is shuttering . I did trust them until now. They never have a technician on duty Saturday through Monday. Do not very happy because cost us near 1500.00 already.
DON’T GO HERE! I dropped my vehicle off for an oil change at noon because and walked to my house around the corner. Almost six hours later and it is still not ready. Very very slow service. I won’t be back.
This place was awesome. I needed a new battery and installation for my 2015 GMC Terrain. I called a Chevy dealer (too busy, sorry) called a GMC dealer (very disinterested) called an auto parts store (could sell me a battery ut not install it) called NTB associate said bring your car in and well make it better. In and out, no messing around. They were only too glad to help me out. Outstanding
Had an oil change and included inspection. I specifically asked about brakes. Gentlemen said they made no mention of brakes so they must be fine. 2k miles later and I have to have rear rotors replaced. Also called and asked about a transmission fluid exchange which they quoted me for, a few weeks later I drop off the car and they inform me they cant perform the service. Good luck finding good car service, this isnt the place
Came in for scheduled maintenance appt. Manager seemed get an attitude when i declined to reschedule my appointment because they had five cars already. Asked for the keys and literally snatched them out of my hand. Told me i would have to wait a few hours for the car to be fixed. Completely unprofessional, no customer skills, and if it wasnt for the fact i was on a deadline and needed to get the car fixed, was the only reason that encounter didnt go in a different direction. Completely disrespectful. Hours passed and he pulled up with the car fixed, came in and through my keys on the table where i was sitting at. Then walked away, didnt say a word. And neither did I. I left before i let my anger get the best of me and i may have done something i may have regretted. But instead Im going to share my experience through the proper channels to make sure this wont happen again. Worst service center Ive ever been too.
Easiest tire buying experience. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The tires were very affordable. The staff shared with me all specials, rebates and how to save the most money. They followed all safety measures. They kept me informed when my car was done. We are forever customers.
Was in and out. Will def return. Was extremely happy with the courteous people that work here. They are very set on pleasing customers and making sure everything is right.

I called and made an appointment for noon. I called at 4pm and was put on hold for 20mins. Then I was told they were still behind and they hadnt gotten to my truck yet. Told me it would be done by closing which is 6pm. Got a ride from my dad at 5:50 and my truck was still sitting where I parked it at 11:48am. I was told they wouldnt leave til it was done. I walk back and I am sitting outside waiting on my truck at 6:57pm. Ridiculous its like taking it to the dealership who does in fact take all day for an oil change!!!!!😭😭😭 I finally got my truck at 7:30pm. I just wanted to say thank you for the blessing Heather!❤

I purchased tires at NTB on Cedar Rd in Chesapeake, VA. I could not be more pleased with their knowledge to research special tire size for my Alfa Romeo Stilveo Quadrifoglio.They were very patient and friendly, taking the time to do the research, inspire of very busy. I trust their overwhelming business is because of their incredible customer service. I want you to know I highly recommend them for your car services. The store manager, Chris did the work himself because of the COVID they were experiencing a shortage of personnel. They have earned my respect and my business for the future. Way to go Chris, NTB! 5 STARS!

The gentleman I dealt with at the front desk (no, I dont have a name) should NOT be the first point of contact for customers. I wasnt greeted, waited patiently for him to finish a phone call, and when he finished said phone call, he started cussing and talking negatively about the customer that just called.Took my business to Discount Tire. Less expensive, and that guy could learn from the customer service I receive here.
Total lack of customer care. Walked in and stood there for 10 minutes. Im usually pretty outspoken but I figured Id just see how long it would take for someone to at least tell me they would be with me in a minute. But its not worth my time. Take your business elsewhere.
I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received at this location last week. I took my car in because my air conditioner was blowing hot air in near 100 degree weather. I was first of all impressed that NTB is taking the threat of the covid-19 pandemic seriously. Upon my arrival, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the store and I was surprised that I was given a packet containing three face masks and hand sanitizer. This made my day and made me think that NTB cares about its customers. Thank you. Mike and Chris provided counter service to me and they both were courteous and easy to communicate with. My car was evaluated and it was determined that I did need Freon. I picked up my car and Ive been riding cool every since.I also would like to commend and thank a Lyft driver, Evan, who was on site at NTB and provided me a much needed lift home while I waited for my car to be serviced. This store should a model for other businesses.
Ive got a track record of ripping auto service businesses online for bad service. After moving to Great Bridge I gave this one a try for a simple oil change and tire rotation. So far so good.But Ill be watching...
Terrible business practice. Have work vehicle that only sits still 1 day a week. Called store and mDe appointment for a week out. I arrived for the appointment only to be told Im not in the system and no way to get service. With 4 personal vehicles and 5 work vehicles you just lost a customer. If i did business like this there would be no business.
I came by for a safety check on a spare tire and Rodney went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe with the spare. He was so professional and helpful that I cancelled my tire installation with another shop and scheduled here for 2 vehicles. They have both been serviced and I have 0 regrets. Chris made scheduling a breeze and has awesome customer service, which is reflective in his staff as well. Oh! & No one was pushy for services “needed” Thanks guys!

Yesterday was great! The salesman that helped me was very helpful even kept checking on the mechanic that was working on my car. When he slowed down or walked away from the job he had him get back to work! I always have had bad experience at merchants and its always taken all day! Yesterday was great and I appreciate the salesman of that day. He did great customer service that day.
Very friendly staff. Competent technicians. Busy shop, so they are often slow to complete work. Tell you they will call, but you have to be proactive and call them to get updates on the completion of your service.
Battery needed. I had a dead battery. They tested it and results said a new battery was indeed the recommendation. Great. They called with options and price differences. Replaced battery and called me for a pickup within an hour. Very easy. Im planning on taking my other vehicle there in the future to see how well they work on it.
Friendly and helpful staff - vehicle was ready when promised. Enjoyed the purchase experience. Prices were discounted on 4 new tires.
Friendly, fast and honest. Very happy with the manager. Even call Firestone to get me an appointment for an inspection because he couldnt do it due to loss of employee.
Will never do business here again. Quoted a price for a tire on one day, take my car up to the shop another day, only to be told that the car would have to be left because they were to busy to give a quote. Only to be told hours later that the tire would be 30.00 more. The manager of all people would not honor the quote that was printed out and said the employee was new and quoted the wrong price. Sad and poor customer service. But the good news is, there are other place to shop....
No complaints. Honest people. At least they were 4 months ago. Lately my wife has been getting nothing but attitude from them. Not sure who she talked to but he is not the same guys I work with in the past. When she brought her car in for an inspection she was told the inspector was on vacation. She asked when hed be back I dont know. Tried again this week (Monday) with my car. We wont get to it till Thursday Wife said Ill try down the street, response they wont get to it either. All while she seemed to be bothering him. So Im going down the street from now on to Tread Quarters. Oh and it will be ready first thing tomorrow (Tuesday).
I stayed and waited for my vehicle and I added the service of front end alignment. What would have been nice is like a time till finished. I was there from 11 am to 4:30 pm. Status updates would have been nice. They saw me sitting there all afternoon and I had to ask whats going on with my vehicle. It would have been nice if there would have been hourly updates told to me to let me know why Im waiting so long and what difficulties if any they were running into. That is what made my experience at the shop now so great.
Although they could not fix my problem the manager on duty was very kind and helpful.I was in a jam stuck halfway between home and work a 55 mile drive. He graciously refunded my money for what they did fix. I appreciate the fact he was very honest with me in saying he thought this would fix my problem apologized and offered the refund. Scheduled online for oil change and tire rotation. Was in and out in an hour. Friendly service, nice clean waiting room. Saved money too. I will go here from now on.

I have been doing business with them over three years I have spent well over 5000 in this time and I mean well over but today they lost this customer and my entire family as customers, I realize I probably have been getting scammed for years now . They claim to fix problems charge you then you no doubt come back they then find brand new problems and try and charge you all over again . Mikes customer service alone will make you never want to come back . They have truly went down hill and they are taking advantage of good people .
Did an online schedule and needed a tire put on a replacement rim. Had it done within an hour and it working great. Fast and efficient. Always take all 3 of my vehicles there for service.
Great place for service. They also now have LYFT station inside availabe Monday - Friday.
My wife had them replace her struts, after which time they balanced the tires and aligned the front end. Since then, there has been a knock like something loose. She was told one of the struts was bad. So, they replaced the two front struts that were supposed to be new. We got a call from Chris, the manager, stating that the noise was coming from a bad motor mount. He told my wife the struts were night t the problem and he was 95% sure the noise was coming from the mount. So the mount was replaced to the tune of $357.00. When my wife called to check on the car, she was told the noise persists. She was told she would have to bring it back again. When she picked it up I asked if they re aligned the car after installing the struts. I was told yes. They forgot to give my wife the printout of the alignment so she stopped by to get it. She was then told, they were sorry but it was not done. Once again I followed her to drop it off. When we got there we were told it was indeed aligned! The story goes on and we still have the problem NTB created but obviously can’t fix. And, the alignment printout has many measurements that are in the red, meaning not aligned correctly. We were told, that’s as good as it gets. When we compared to several other alignments, everything was in the green. NTB is a tire store portraying themselves as a mechanic shop. Do yourself a favor, don’t go here! Fine a reputable shop!
I showed up half an hour before close with a flat tire. I ended up buying 4 tires because I was going to replace them soon anyway. The staff are very friendly and professional, and I will definitely return.
First time visiting this location today, and I was pleased with the cleanliness of lobby and how nice all the employees were. I have been to other locations, service has always been good...today service was GREAT! Definitely will visit this location fron now on.Thanks!
Have had a bad experience with Merchants Tires in the past but with this one on Cedar Rd. I have to admit they have been very nice and fair. Had a part replaced 6 months ago, which cost me $300 (parts + labor). They replaced it at no cost 6 months later when it failed again. I thought I was going to argue about it but they provided excellent customer service.
I made my appointment online very easy. Checkin was easy and the staff was friendly. They have a nice waiting area with free coffe, vending machine and Direct TV. Prices were comparable to other places. They did not try to sell me anything else. In and out for oil change and tire rotation in an hour.
Great service. Prompt. Friendly. Ask for Chris he is the best.

Dropped my car off at 8:00am for 4 new tires to be installed wasn’t finished till 12:30. Two and a half hours after the estimated time, it made me late for work. Just came in for my oil change and it is obvious that this place cannot keep a schedule. People were able to retrieve their vehicles before me when their appointment was after mine. The staff does not greet you when you walk in. I would not recommend wasting your time. Go to a place where the customer is valued. It shouldn’t take over two hours for an oil change in an establishment that is not busy. I always give a busianess a second chance. They wasted my time on both occasions.
Nice guy at front desk good overall experience tried to sell me tire pressure sensors on my new car when you absolutely dont need to replace them yet. But other than that good price good work .
They helped me get back on the road after a flat. Staff was very helpful and courteous! Would definitely recommend this location.

NTB on Cedar has done an outstanding on all three of our vehicles. They made a mistake recently and changed out the wrong tire and even though it was a few weeks later when i noticed it they replaced the correct one at no extra charge. Thanks

I went in late on a Sunday afternoon for a leaky tire. It was the Valve Stem. While I waited in the waiting area I sat and watched football with a fellow patron at the store. He was there for a battery. He had an appointment, I did not. The manager squeezed me in, replaced the valve stem and I was on my way. I had been putting air in the tire for over a year, when it was a $9 fix. Sure wish I had went in sooner.
My apppointment was at 1030 and here its 5 and they still are not done with my car. I even arrived 15 minutes early and I even asked when I dropped it off were they behind and the man said no and it should only take 1 1/2 hours. Well I guess that turned into 6 going on 7 hours.2 weeks before that, they took 4 hours to change 2 tires for my wife. I never will go back there again.Now after receiving my vehicle. I drove it straight home about a mile away and I notice two big gashes on my rim. Call the store and they told me to bring it on Monday. Lets see if they own up to it and replace it. Will update later !!!
A great place to get new tires, oil changes, inspections and more. The staff is always very courteous and take the time to explain the suggested repairs with no strong sales tactics.
This happened a few years ago: I took my 2003 Grand Caravan to this location because one of the front calipers locked up and I needed an estimate on a front caliper replacement, driver-side and passenger-side. They quoted $1300. When I looked up the parts cost, it was right around $250 and the estimated labor time was about 3 hours. When I declined to get the work done there, I was told I was stupid to do the job myself. When the tow-truck driver came to pick the car up the next day, we were chatting about why I wasnt going to use this shop and the quote I was given. He informed me that only a few months prior, he got the same job done at a BMW dealership for his 2008 BMW X5 for $1100. It was then that I realized that these people really are crooks. When the tow truck driver delivered the car to my house and I tried to start it, it wouldnt because the battery was COMPLETELY dead. When checked with a multimeter, there was virtually no voltage/amperage to speak of. I am positive this was done out of spite by one of the incompetent employees. Unless you are a masochist and enjoy wasting money on services you dont need at outrageous prices, I would avoid this place like the plague.

Clean, beautiful inside, good workers, professional and cheaper than the smaller shops that want to rob you of all of your money. Ive been taken advantage of before for getting a car fixed, but I think that does not happen here.
Very unprofessional. Truck went in for a hard start after refuel issue, oil change and tire Balance. They didnt even attempt to diagnose the hard start because we dont have a budget to put gas in trucks. Ive worked in service centers, and this one based on the reviews has lackluster employees that dont know what they are doing. A simple call to the customer, i.e. Me, asking for permission to be charged for the fuel they used to re-create the issue would have been perfectly ok. Dont go here unless you want to waste your time.

One star, only because they wont let me leave a review with no stars. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I set an appointment, DROPPED MY TRUCK OFF THE EVENING BEFORE, and was told I would receive a call midafternoon the next day. I bought a set of Nitto tires from them a couple years ago and wanted them balanced and rotated. Check the alignment. Replace a pressure sensor. No big effort for a TIRE COMPANY, right?Wrong.As you have doubtless guessed, no call came. So, I called them:Ummmm, sorry sir, but we didnt do the work.Why not?Im not sure. Other vehicles kept coming in, and yours kept getting pushed back.Why is that?Ummm, not sure.So, I had an appointment. That apparently doesnt mean anything.Ummm, yes, it does.No, clearly, it does not. So my question to you is, what are you going to do to make this right?Ummmm, I guess we could try to do it now.Do that. I will be by first thing in the morning.Update to follow!Ok, heres the update:Got a call an hour and a half after closing time (and it is Friday) - they were working on the truck. Very apologetic. Cut me a deal on the price, promised it will be ready tomorrow at 7 a.m. Unless you read otherwise, assume I was able to get the truck at the time promised.
I have been the hillcrest merchants many times. Every time I was done in about an hour, with my appt time. I decided to give the cedar road a try since it was a little closer. We waited for 2 hours with an appt for an oil change. Then we went outside and there were two zip ties hanging down from my car.....they broke the bolts putting the skid plate back in and werent going to bother saying anything to us about it.....SERIOUSLY?! We were told they didnt have bolts and that should be good. Now on hours 3 we ate waiting for them to drill our the broken bolts with no appolgy or sympathy of any kind! Who thinks that is acceptable?!! Never going back!
I didnt even make it to the store, just called to make an appointment for an oil change and the man that answered the phone was very snappy and rude. Needless to say I cancelled my appointment and wont be making another one
Ive had several thousand dollars worth of work done at Merchants Tire over the last 6 years. It wasnt until the last work I had done that I realized I was being over charged. $267 for a new battery. The price was reduced by $100 when I complained. I just wonder how much I was over charged for other work Ive had done there including a repair costing well over $2,000.
Went for an oil change. Mechanic took 2 hours to change the oil and rotate the tires. However, never leave anything in the glove compartment of value. My expensive radar detector was gone when I got the car back.They were the last people to have access to my car after I had use it on my last trip to CT.
Had my oil change and battery from here. Great customer service.

These people are ridiculous, they have no idea what they are doing and even the manager is rude. I went to get a valve stem repaired and when they were done my Service TPMS light was on. They said that another sensor mustve gone bad and we would have to pay. Well it turns out they didnt calibrate the new sensor to the car hence the light coming on after they did the repair! Do NOT go here, go to the Merchants on Indian River!
They promised that the work would be done in 1 1/2 hours and it was completed ten minutes earlier on a very busy Saturday.
I left Merchant and went to another tire store and learned they lied to me at Merchant tire. They will never get my business again and I suggest no one go there. Very dishonest!
