But all my service experiences there thus far are TERRIBLE.Please stop telling people that all the customer service problems are due to new ownership (over a year now), the owners are in Miami (why would that matter?), new pfhone system, new computer system, etc.Just stand by the vehicles you sell for tens of thousands of dollars.Definitely not the same at this group anymore

Service to the vehicles is still good. But the service managers need to continue to work with the service advisors at Southern Kia with communication with customers. This includes updates on car service and returning customer phone calls. Customers should not have to leave numerous voicemail messages.
My service advisor Charles Bacs was awesome, he told me step by step what services were being performed, what I would need done and yes he was great. He encouraged me to get a battery like soon so I took his advice and got a battery and Im so glad that I did. I could not have asked for a better advisor than him! I was in the market for a pre-owned truck and inquired about an F150 via email and was told it was no longer available but asked if I was interested in any others and I was in fact interested in about 5 other vehicles they had listed on their site so I email back with the stock numbers and the response I got was “I don’t know they are at other locations”. At this point I decided to inquire about each of them individually. One in particular that I asked about was a Toyota Tacoma and was asked when I would like to come to the Lynnhaven location to view it so I made an appointment for 10am and showed up on the dot. While the front desk associate looked for someone to help me I got a text message from the gentleman I was working with stating that the truck was at a different location in Chesapeake, so, I got back in my car and headed to Chesapeake only to find out when I got there that the truck had been sent to auction “weeks ago” as the associate at that location put it. I drove over 100 miles in one day to view a vehicle that had been sent to auction weeks ago. I do not have the time or money for this and I didn’t even get so much as an apology for the complete lack of awareness this auto group has for their own inventory. As I type this both the Tacoma that went to auction and the F150 that I inquired about are still on their website.

I finalized my car purchase yesterday at Southern Auto Group, KIA, in Chesapeake. Ryan Lynn was our salesman. He was great. Ive been making my car decision for about a year now, so I am obviously no easy sell. I like to know every tiny detail about the cars Im considering and Ryan did not disappoint. I ask detailed questions, and for the 1 or 2 that he felt that he needed to clarify, he did so. He was extremely pleasant, not pushy at all and seemed to be genuinely happy when we found the car we wanted.

Took 2012 car in for an inspection and rear right side tire loosing air, and daytime running light replaced . They told me i was leaking steering fluid and it had to be fixed to pass inspection ( 2,400 hundred). said i was also leaking oil .replacing seals (4,500). (6.900) tot. I told them no. I want just the tire and light fixed and go ahead and fail my inspection . Well the tire was still loosing air after I left.paid for but never fixed. Took it to another place and told them why i failed . They checked it . Said they can not find a steering leak. and they fixed my right rear tire as well .The oil leak is very minimal and not dripping . They fixed my tire and passed inspection for 40 bucks . just stay away from this dealers garage .

They sold me a truck with a 3rd brake light leaking. The seal was broken and I didn’t know until 2 months after I got it and it rained really hard, water got all inside the cab. After it taking 3 hours on the phone for them to transfer me to the correct person, the sales guy told me that they can’t do anything about it. He then told me if they would have gotten more money from me when I bought the truck, he could “possibly” call the Vice President and talk to him about fixing the brake light for me. I ended up paying $400 dollars to fix the brake light on the truck I got from them after only having the truck for 2 months.

I just want to express how disappointed I am with the Southern Auto Groups lack of dedication to customer service and satisfaction. My car has been in the service department of southern Chrysler dodge jeep in greenbrier. First off I requested to be sent updates via text message and never received any. I always had to called or text to request an update on my vehicle so that system is pointless and not be utilized. Now my car 2 weeks and one deadline push later is ready for pick up today June 23rd 2019 and I have no means of going to pick it up. The dealership provides shuttle service to home or work from 8 to 10 am. But this system while on the surface seems amazing is flawed because now on this the day that I need to pick up my car and Ive been left immobilized for the past 2 weeks, I’m being told they dont have a system in place to pick up customers only to drop them off. The service department manager Joey went as far as to tell me to get a taxi or an Uber. Not that its any of your business but as most people would guess getting a motor replaced is not a cheap repair on top of the $1200 of income I’ve lost due to not being able to work as an Uber driver since I dont have a car. I simply dont have the finances at this moment to afford an Uber from Virginia Beach to your location. I need to pick up my car that’s in your dealership and there is no system in place to help me as a customer to get that done with no out of pocket cost. I’m being made to feel that it was all sunshine and rainbows when I sold my old car and bought this new one but as soon as you get the keys and sign the paperwork customer service go right out the flipping window and no one cares about you or your needs anymore. I am highly disappointed with this experience and will most definitely be plastering my story on every platform of social media available to me. Hopefully ill save someone else the trouble and stress of having to go through what i currently am dealing with. Chose a better dealership.

The auto shop here is horrible! Called to make an appointment for my state inspection was to told I didnt need to make an appointment. Showed up at 8 am this morning and was asked did you make an appointment. I said no bc I was told by your receptionist I didnt need one. Was then told they could not do my state inspection today bc I didnt have an appointment. I bought my pathfinder from southern. But now I will not return when its time for a trade in and I will never recommend southern to anyone buying a car. Fix your service department!!

Terrible customer service. Bought a used car with a crack in the windshield they said they would have fixed at a later date... Once I left the lot and was no longer a potential customer, the crappy service began. Ive called and emailed both the salesman and the manager to schedule a date to come in and have the issue resolved... My emails are ignored, and every time they answer the phone, they give me some crap about their window guy being out of town. They put it in writing that they would fix the windshield, Im considering legal advice at this point. Will not go there again.

We were visiting family in Va Beach during the 2018 Thanksgiving holiday. Since all of the dealerships were is such close proximity to where we were staying, we decided to go car looking since we had just given our Kia Sorento to our son after he had totaled his car 2 weeks ago. Our last 2 family cars have been Kia Sorentos so we thought we might want something different, but after looking at 5 other brands we stopped into Southern Kia. Our salesman Nick was very knowledgeable and patient. He showed us several cars to help us decide exactly what features and color we wanted. He located the exact car we wanted onhis lot. After driving it we knew that was what we wanted but we lived in the North Georgia Mountains, the car was in Va Beach and we had hundreds of dollars tied up in return airfare on Sunday that we did not want to lose. THEY MADE IT HAPPEN! After contacting a dealer back in Atlanta, we were told that they could not meet or beat the deal we were getting so crazy as it seems we ended up buying a car. It is being delivered to us in Blairsville, GA, on Cyber Monday...lucky us! The car buying experience was simple, easy and enjoyable. I have never experienced this in buying a car in the past. If youre looking to purchase your next car go to Southern and ask for CJ Burns. He was very helpful, friendly and professional. CJ did an outstanding job, never felt pressured throughout the process and he answered all my questions in a timely matter. I will certainly suggest him and your dealership to my friends and family. My only recommendation is to make sure you have several hours to complete the purchase of your car. Once I finished my paperwork with CJ I had to wait nearly three hours for two other people to offer me a detail package and warranty I had no intention of purchasing before I was able to receive my tags.

I came in on 10/18/14 to look at a 2013 Kia Soul for purchase. I was bringing my 2011 Honda Civic as a trade in. I sat down with Bobbie Schemetti and the sales experience was outstanding. I did have a firm budget set in place for the purchase and she worked with me on that as well. I signed my paperwork and drove home in my new car!
