I have never had an experience with a store unit company before here, but this is absolutely terrible customer experience. Payment is due on the 1st of every month, I am set up on auto payment, my card was hacked and shut off so i didnt even think to update payment here. our contract shows you have 10 days to pay after the 1st or else late fee will be charged. They were showing on google opened on Saturday at 0900. I was there until 0945, in the parking lot with 3-4 other customers frustrated because no employee showed up to open the store. i called on Monday 07/12 to pay and they still charged me with a late fee and had no idea someone didnt show up to work on Saturday (before 0945 at which i left at that point). when i called on Monday 07/12 it took about 10 phone calls from 2 separate numbers for them to finally answer. The man said if they can find out it was there fault on Saturday as to why i couldnt pay, he will reimburse me. I will update this review when I am reimbursed, however please consider another option than this place if you can.

Its by far the worst storage option I have found on this side of Chattanooga. I walked in when they were open and the declined my business because he had eom reports to do. I pleaded my case and he agreed like he was doing me a favor. During the tour I noticed the place was dirty overall, had rodent pest issues and big wasp problems. The prices are really competitive and it does NOT have 24 hr. access in spite of what some have posted. In fact if you dont leave before 10pm, youre locked in! Terrible. Also, the rules there are outrageous. Youd think you were a house guest and not a renter. The side wall of the unit they assigned to me had been peeled back like a sardine can so that all my items were on display for anyone to see. Some units did not have secured screening on top. Code entries are lengthy and theres double codes. The code box is on the passenger side making exits near impossible and dangerous. 2 stars is very generous.

When we first moved in, they were very accommodating despite their short weekday hours and lack of weekend access. We were told for months that they would have the 24-hour access doors installed anytime, but it took over 6 months. We two units in the facility including the largest custom unit they had. After 9 months or so, things started going down hill. I was locked in the facility on multiple occasions when the gates locked before 10PM. I was assured that my account would allow me late exit, but it has never worked and I have had to scaled the fence each time. I was even told how to open the gate using the emergency exit button, but even that does not work. The final straw for me was getting an angry call about us leaving pallets for a carrier on the dock like we have done for the past year. But TODAY they decide to make a new rule where you cant do that anymore. Do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else. This place is not worth the hassle.

UPDATE in reply to the apology:I cannot accept as I do not believe it to be sincere.The bottom line is that I conveyed my intentions clearly before the custom build was agreed upon... I understand youre attempting to excuse the actions and situation by claiming essentially that you changed your mind and manager. But it was irresponsible regardless and caused me a great deal of financial loss and time. Not only was it completely inconsiderate but I was most certainly NOT offered 30 days advance notice as you claim. Maybe youre just confused.. And not that this would have helped much anyways. Your new manager called me immediately and demanded I turn my keys in right away and informed that I would no longer have the agreed upon constant power or unlimited access. Despite being given all the info no offer for assistance was given and certainly no offer of a return on the rent paid while waiting on the custom build to be completed. Thats on top of several more months of rent paid while I set up the unit as planned and agreed upon. Nothing about this exchange and business transaction was fair or considerate in any way. And it comes as no surprise at all that even still today theres no consideration for the facts but rather just a very typical and almost canned reply for a client swept under the rug. Its not always easy for us to find people who arent reckless and care free like this in business but as Ive found that type of business sure does exist still in Chattanooga. I did find someone better and cheaper. Someone Im positive would never ever do something like this to another person. Even if theres no single individual responsible for what took place theres still a fair way of going about things and then theres the other way. Upon reading the other recent reviews its quite clear this isnt a one time thing. Seems they treat others poorly often.. Its sad really..Extremely unethical and unfair treatment. Before agreeing to lease several very large units(including an office space) from this establishment they offered me 24 hour access, which was imperative. I informed them of my needs which were to occasionally record music at night. They explained that I would be considered a merchant customer and then built me a custom unit as an incentive to lease with them. So I moved a very large amount of equipment, set it all up and got ready to record. Which is when they decided that I would no longer have 24 hour access and that I would not be allowed to play music or have power on at night. This effectively forced me to break everything down and move out which took an enormous amount of time and effort. I lost a portion of my life due to these people. What they did to me was despicable, inconsiderate and entirely reckless. They should be ashamed but it seems this place has no soul.

DO NOT RENT U-HAUL FROM THIS LOCATION!! The manager MATT gave me the worst customer service ever!!!! They were rude and not helpful, and after 2 HOURS at their location they were unable to use my card I had on file and would not accept cash. They cost me a lot of time and money today, I will NEVER rent from this location again!!!
