Maxi-Red Bank has been my family’s go to mechanic shop in the Chattanooga area. What makes them the best is Randy’s honest/open communication and the guys’ high quality work. Full engine and transmissions swaps, tire alignments, radiator and CV axles replacements: I’ve been extremely happy with it all. I recommend giving them a shot for all your vehicle needs- it only takes one interaction to see it for yourself.

While on a road trip, we soon had car trouble. An auto part store misdiagnosed our problem and cost us over $200 on a part that helped zero. Most other shops couldnt help us on short notice on a weekend. Maxi was also busy but one of their guys took the time to connect the (a more efficient device) diagnostic computer to our car and let us know our real problem, what we can do about it and that we would be able to make it back home without a tow truck bill. Much appreciated!

My battery was dead after sitting 2 months waiting for my car to get repaired. I called because had 30 month warranty and was not up yet, all I asked was for battery to be replaced. First, acted like he didnt want to give it to me. Then, they wanted to run test and was told alternator was draining battery which was lie took to my mechanic and was showed and told something different. Same with hixson pike maxi these places are getting out of hand especially when you know how your car acts cause you had it so long. They give me dont leave car with them vibes if knew my mechanic before got battery would have never got from here but this was where had warrenty. And was told would not be warranty on new battery. Never will I go back again will go to Oreilly or Auto Zone and just pay for labor before go back here.

I ran over a sharp object which punctured my tire while traveling in Red Bank on Dayton Blvd. The air was coming out quickly so I pulled into the first auto store I came to. The manager and mechanic quickly attended to the tire even though they were busy. They were able to patch up the hole and I was on my way. I was impressed with the attention and service and would feel comfortable taking my car there in the future.

I had issues with my a/c and heating shutting off. I took it in it was the blower motor. They gave me a great price. Then, almost 2 weeks later they changed my front brake pads and rotors, cleaned and aligned my rear breaks. They changed my oil and filter for the same price as I was paying for my oil change some where else.The prices were affordable and honest. Randy knew his stuff. The mechanics knew theirs stiff as well. They were professional and nice. I was very impressed and will return for other repairs. They were awesome!!

My daughter needed CV joints and struts on her Lexus and I needed advice. I called Randy, the manager, and spoke with him. He was very informative, helpful and offered a price $500 less than the quote we had in hand. I would do business with him again based on this experience.

I have been coming here for at least 15 years. Dominick and Randy are as honest as it gets. I recently had an emissions issue that was difficult to resolve. I brought my truck in and they replaced a part. That didnt fix it. I brought it in 8 more times over the course of a month and a half. They helped me resolve the issue and I wasn’t charged another dime. People like these make the world a better place.

As a single woman, Ive often felt taken advantage of or talked down to when I go see a mechanic. I dont think Im alone in this. A couple of years ago, I was looking for a place to regularly take my car to get serviced. I was looking for people I could trust. A colleague suggested Maxi Auto on Dayton Boulevard. He told me to ask for Randy. Over the years, Randy has become my go-to guy. I know hell take care of me and shoot straight with me. I never have to wonder if hes trying to pull one over on me to make an extra buck. Its people like Randy who create relationships with customers and those relationships keep people coming back.

Was in town from North Dakota burying my momma. My trucks fuel pump went out and they had it done in one day and was 400 Less than all others. They truly made a really tuff time alot better. And come to my rescue. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ive had my car serviced by Maxi 3 times this year (3 unrelated issues) and been very happy with them. I am always able to get an appointment within a few days of experiencing the problem, and once I bring it in for the appointment, it is always fixed same-day. I dont know much about cars, so I always text my car-loving dad and tell him what the car was doing, what Maxi diagnosed as the issue, and what they did to fix it, and he has always given his stamp of approval so I trust that they are knowledgeable and honest. Will continue to be a customer here.

I was told I had a leaking valve cover gasket that they charged me over 200 bucks for to replace when actually it was a crankshaft seal that was leaking. Plus asked for an oil chg at the front to only have to repeat it several times to get after they kept my car all day then come to find out that the 100% synthetic oil I asked for was actually a synthetic blend. Be careful with what u ask for in return.

Never park in the overflow. It doesnt belong to them, even if those that work there say it does.Last time was great service. Then they towed my wrecked car that had been there a week while I saved up to tow it off the lot. Towed the DAY BEFORE, Id planned to take it in. Even called a couple times to update em on the situation.That aside, the service is still great.

Came in with a estimate from another shop.and they beat the price of the other shop and did a wonderful job repairing my SUV. They are honest and my SUV didnt even have any grease on it when I picked it up. I highly recommend this place. They have gained a new customer for life! Don’t go to the one on Dayton Boulevard! They literally unplugged the fan to my air conditioner to tell me that the fan was out. They then tried to tell me that I needed two radiator fans to fix the air conditioner issue. They were going to charge me $700 and it only cost me 289 somewhere else and the air conditioner fan was not blown!!! Maxi unplugged it. When I dropped it off it was blowing hot air, when I left it wasn’t blowing any air. Then LeBron tried to tell me I told him that it wasn’t working when I dropped it off. I told him that it was blowing hot air. DO NOT GO HERE!

I live in central Florida and my son attends UT Chat. He needed some immediate muffler repairs on his truck and as a college kid, he was clueless who to take it to. My car needed a coil replacement. They told me I needed three replaced. They wanted to charge me $ 850! I refused. Took to another shop I needed one coil changed, cost me $240! Ladies beware of lying, thieves that think you don’t know your car. Such a disgrace to the community, being new to the area.

Both of my children attend UTC. Any time there is an issue with one of their vehicles I have to deal with it remotely. Every time the team at Maxi has taken care of them without question and given us fantastic service. It is hard to find someone who you feel you can trust to do the right thing and treat young customers with professionalism and respect. I recommend the team at Dayton Blvd without question.

I had an exhaust leak that was beyond what I could figure out from YouTube, but I couldnt afford to pay typical labor fees from a general repair shop. I know its worth it and value peoples time/skills, but its not in my budget. I did some research and came across Maxi Auto, and had hope in the prices and quality based on the reviews. I got in right away, the leak is fixed, and the price was VERY reasonable! Im grateful :)

They worked me in on a Saturday and fixed my Durangos power steering so I could get on home to Maryville from Chattanooga.

I went in needing 4 new tires, and that is exactly what I got. No one tried to sell me something I didn’t need and the manager made time for me to educate me. I never knew tires that only have 18,000 miles on them could be “dry rotted” but they were. You can’t ask for better service. I was treated with respect, paid what I was quoted, and my repairs were done on time. (You can’t ask that from a dealership!) I will be loyal to this Red Bank location as long as I live here.

This location is the best in the city! They are knowledgable, friendly and provide quality, swift service. I stopped by here on a Wednesday and they were booked out for the entire week (the amount of appointments can attest to their great service). The repair I needed was simple, but I wanted it repaired as quickly as possible, so I figured Id call the Hixson location for availability. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the Hixson store. I called Hixson at 4:00 PM (they close at 5:00 PM) to explain what I needed repaired and to see when/if they could fit me in sooner. The manager at Hixson, Gary, was very hasty over the phone. Instead of being polite and explaining to me that they close in an hour and offering me a time that they could do the work, he very rudely said youre calling me at 4 oclock and we close at 5. He didnt seem interested in offering to schedule another time/day for the repair, and because of his rudeness, I replied with a thank you and hung the phone up. I called back to schedule a slot with the Red Bank location and their manager, Dominic, was MORE THAN happy to find time to squeeze me in around the appointments the next day, after hearing of my experience with Gary at Hixson. This is just one more reason why Ill always take my business here. Their customer service is beyond what one may expect. Great group of people!

Great service. Did better job diagnosing problem than the dealership and fixed it for a whole lot less than what the dealership quoted. Spent the time needed to actually find what the problem was and not just swap parts until it was fixed. They were genuinely concerned about finding the issue. Allowed us to drive the car for the weekend to ensure the problem was fixed before we made the final payment. Highly recommend and will use them again.

Ive been around mechanic shops a lot in my life and this one felt like home. Maxi Muffler - Red Bank was recommended to me by a friend and I will recommend them from now on. I feel safe knowing these guys have my best interest and safety in mind and not the size of my pocket book. I had a check engine light on and a bad radiator fan. I asked them to do the radiator fan, which they did for a fair price. The check engine light was due to some vacuum leaks that they fixed for NO CHARGE. No parts, no labor. That check engine light was estimated by a Toyota dealer in FL to cost about $1,800 to fix so i could pass emissions. Maxi fixed it for free! Now, it came on later but it was after I passed emissions and renewed my tags! Ill definitely be taking my car back here for future repairs.Edit: its 6 months later and the radiator coolant reservoir is leaking (it cracked somehow). They ordered a new part, got it in 2 days later, and today were able to swap it out -- in MINUTES -- while my wife waited with my 3 kids. Everything was covered by warranty and there was no hassle in having it done at no charge. They honored their commitment to the repair.

Stopped by today & Steven was so nice. Any time I have car trouble I go to there 1st and I definitely reccomend anyone with car troubles. Theyre so awesome!

We towed our Infiniti in to get a second opinion because we were told we needed a new engine for $$$$ due to overheating from leaks. Maxi certified technicians diagnosed that we only needed new engine cooling fan assembly, which was causing overheating. They confirmed no leaks. They replaced cooling fan assembly. Car is running fine. We appreciate the honesty, skill, and excellent customer service.

DO NOT GO ALONE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN.The front end forgot to tell the technician to fix my car. Noticed after I payed and drove away.

Love everything about them! Only downfall is they don’t do appointments or walk-ins for simple things like changing a headlight or oil change. Wish they offered appointments or walk-in options for simple car routine maintainence like these. They would be amazing otherwise.

The service team at this location was absolutely outstanding! After looking them up on google and reading the reviews I drove past four other locations to get my AC compressor fixed. Randy and the rest of the crew are the most dedicated team into making sure that the job is perfect before you leave the lot. I recommend them 10 out of 10 times. Overall the Customer service and loyalty is one of the best Ive seen in town.

They were able to diagnose the problem, get me a solution and have it running like new in 3 hours! Wow Thank you Maxi Auto Service, on Dayton Blvd! And especially Randy! You guys fixed and resolved my issue with my F150 97, alternator/battery. After I struggled with this myself all while on crutches and broken foot. I did not have the training nor the time to troubleshoot my electrical issues. Back in Feb of 2017 my trucks battery kept dying, so went and exchanged it and had the alternator checked. Then in the beginning of August it happened again! Dead battery! So at this point with me on crutches I was looking at tracking down the issue, with all the info I had I was to assume some sort of parasitic draw issue in the electrical system. Which means a very boring and tedious job of tracking it down. Needless to say I went with the better choice of referring to Maxi for help and assistance.Come to find out it ended up actually being the alternator! Randy quickly resolved my issue and also realized I had replaced the alternator recently, due to this he swapped it out and the truck started up just fine! First try. And then was nice enough to watch it for a couple of days and make sure it truly did resolve the problem! Which it did...To me, I am very thankful, not only for the resolution but the extra mile in customer service! With my background of 15+ years of experience in the customer service industry, that is how you do it! Customer service.... not that great. Totally unprofessional, in my opinion.My AC went out. I already had this looked at and was told it was the compressor.I started searching online, and found this place. I called and specifically told him that I had my car looked at and that it was the compressor. Specifically asked him if that was something they could do, and if so, if I needed to make an appointment. I was told that yes, they could do it and that I could go ahead and bring my car in. So I did!Unfortunately, that was yesterday around 4:00pm (they close at 5, I already knew this).We were not greeted in the least when we walked in the door. In fact, he was talking to two other gentlemen.Once he finally asked how he could help, I told him that I was the one who just called about my AC compressor.He wrote down my information and took my keys.Not once did he say ANYTHING.Not a... we will get to this first thing in the morning. Nothing.They opened at 8am this morning. My husband called around 11 and they still had not gotten to it (again, not upset about this, I realize there are other cars).We called again around 1:30. They’re closed on sundays and I need my vehicle to go to work Monday morning.We were told that it was the compressor. SHOCKER!!!!! I TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS ALREADY INSPECTED AND THAT IT WAS THE COMPRESSOR!!!!!We were then told that they would have to order the part. I’m sorry,,,, WHAT???I specifically asked yesterday!!!! At that point, he should have told me that they needed to check it themselves. And that if it WAS the compressor (as I was already told), that they would have to order it.In which case, I WOULD HAVE KEPT CALLING AROUND IN ORDER TO FIND A PLACE TO FIX IT TODAY!!!! It’s 90° outside!!!!I completely WASTED $38 for them to tell me EXACTLY WHAT I ALREADY KNEW!!!!!!!!!!!RIDICULOUS!!!!!!I told them it was inspected. I told them what it was. I asked them if they could fix it for me and they said yes.WRONG!!!Will never recommend this place! EVER!!!

Super expensive, rude, and absolutely no suggestions for any other place. They refused to fix an expensive catalyst converter I purchased and would not cut off the catalytic converter that I did not need on an antique auto. Go somewhere else.

My family was traveling from Iowa to Florida for spring break. My Expedition broke down as we were passing through Chattanooga. Maxi was the first auto center to pop up on google. I called and Randy was able to get us right in and was very strait forward as to what it might take to get it fixed. He recommended that we get a rental and leave the vehicle there for them to get it running. He helped us get a rental car to continue our trip Disney. While we were down on vacation he was in constant communication with me as to what they found and what it would take to fix. They had to work above and beyond so that it would be completed the next weekend when we passed through on our way back home. The bill for the services they rendered were very fair as I had anticipated it would be higher. I would highly recommend this location!

This place was nothing but spectacular. My AC went out I dropped it off in the evening and by 3pm the next day it was fixed and ready to go. The prices were excellent they charged less than what I have seen others pay. The best part is the warranty they provide for their services. I will be using them for any future problems.

Traveling through from Florida and had to get some heavier shocks installed. Randy and the crew was awesome. They ordered them and had them on within the hour awesome job guys. Definitely recommend them.

Excellent Service!!! My wifes car had the alternator replaced in July 2017... the service was very fast and affordable. Yesterday (May 2018) my wife came home and said her brake and battery light appeared on her dash while driving. We looked up what that meant in her owners manual and apparently it meant that the battery was not charging. The next morning at 10:30am we took the car back to Maxi Auto in Red Bank and Randy said that if it was the alternator causing the issue that they would fix it for free. True to his word, they had replaced the faulty alternator at no charge by 5pm the same day. We could not be more pleased with our experience at Maxi Auto!

Dominick did a great job replacing my bad air fuel ratio sensor. The wrong sensor was initially ordered, but he brought me in the next morning and replaced it for no charge! Pricing was reasonable and the job was done fast, great quality work

Your best bet to visit them if you fail inspection on your vehicle, they are doctors and Ur car is the right patient for them! I m sure they are good overall.

Came here off a recommendation. Never again. Told 3 days for a repair. Ended up taking 14, and then had to come back a week later because it wasn’t done right and needed to be fixed. If you value your time don’t come here, because they certainly won’t.

Very quick service, even on a holiday weekend. They were friendly and polite. I normally hate to take my car into the shop, because Im not very good at articulating whats wrong with my car, but I never felt talked down to or ignored. Ill use them from now on!

Very honest, very reliable. I took my car here b/c it was the closest shop to where my car broke down. I am glad I did! The insurance company quoted high on mechanical and body damage, but i called Randy and he was honest about what repairs were needed, vs. which repairs were cosmetic ( i know nothing about cars). He saved me quite a bit of money. Thank you, and this will be my mechanic if I ever need anything else!!!!

Had a dog! Almost got bit! Had to go to a different place after holding my car for 2 days! I called and they told me to go in at X time and by X hours I would have my car back. Had to chat for 20 to 30mins just to get it back! Would not recommend!

My daughter is a UTC student. Her car was broken down and she had no clue where to take it. I live in Nashville and was refereed to Maxi ASC by my local mechanic. I called these guys and they said tow it on in. I was very impressed. They called me with in 30 minuets of the car being towed and had the problem diagnosed. My daughter was back in here car by afternoon.These guys are great !!!

Came in here after I cracked my exhaust tip on my 17 duramax. I had been looking for a stock replacement for a couple of months. Integrity Chevy quoted me 1400 for the muffle back. Checked Craigslist hoping to find a take off. No luck. So I came in here to get a aftermarket tip. I talked to randy and he showed me an oem tip from another truck he did. I asked how much for the tip and to install it. He handed me the tip and said it would just be 40 for the welding. So I made an appointment to bring the truck back on sat to get welded. I dropped the truck off and got a call 2 hrs later saying it was done. Came to pick it up and handed randy my card to pay. He wouldnt take my money and thanked me for my service. I have Purple Heart plates. This is my new place to get any of my vehicles fixed and it should be yours too!

Just got my Mercedes back. I had a busted radiator, dropped it off to a guy named Randy who ordered the part as soon as he could to get the car back to me before they closed on the weekend. Basically got a radiator and parts for a Mercedes devilered and installed in four days. If thats not five stars I dont know what is.I used to take my GMC there all the time. Also had a volvo and a Ford focus serviced there by a guy named Dominic who was just as great. Nice to see that no matter who it seems to be there, they get it done right and do it quick.

I was very disappointed with the Maxi Auto Care. I had a muffler put on my Geo Metro, paid premium price and got a substandard product. They hung the muffler up too high and it burned my bumper. I took it back and they fixed it, no apologies nothing, they were kind of rude about it. THEN about 2 weeks later my car starts rattling and my husband looks underneath and finds that they didnt even hang the muffler correctly and it was vibrating against the car and making a racket. He (husband) had to go get wire and hang it himself. I called and made a second complaint but dont plan on every going back. Check their work!! Customer Beware!!
