Took my sons Vehicle in for a check up after the radiator hose came loose a couple days prior. The manager was professional and services were quickly done to make sure our vehicles could be driven safely.

My car was showing “ No remote detected” I have a push button start. I changed battery still said the same and wouldn’t work. I called maxi talk to Carl I think was his name told him the problem and he took the time to even look it up to help me. The problem was I had chargers plugged in and it interfered with the remote, once he told me to unplug it all my car started, saved toll bills, mechanic bills etc. Thank you Carl you have my five stars.Cheri

Pretty good mechanical work. I got my vehicle back in a day and a half. It was a fairly big job so that is pretty fast. The people skills of this place could be a little improved upon, but other than that, I recommend it.

Karl and his crew were great! I was actually refered to a different maxi but I ended up in east ridge. It worked out though. One thing I loved was he was straight to business, professional, but still friendly, sincere, and personable at the same time. He didnt waste my time trying to sell me anything I didnt need after I explained my situation. I know this because everything he listed on the inspection sheet were things I already know are wrong with my SUV haha.I took my truck in for muffler/exhaust work after I noticed it was driving slower and extremely loud. I learned my truck was victim to the latest converter thefts. Not cheap to fix, but they got me running pretty quickly.

On a long road trip down to southern Georgia, our 2004 Ford excursion developed loud noises in the back tire. When We stopped, wheel became locked. We were towed to Maxi auto center The only place open on a Saturday. We spoke with Carl and told him we were on a road trip. We were promised that the vehicle would at least be looked at before closing at 3. They not only did that but also stayed later & removed broken emergency brake calipers and cleaned up broken/ dislodged springs/ bolts. Cost was minimal and we were back on the road by 4:45. I went in to get the check light tested on my van because it wouldnt go thru emissions with it on. For a diagnosis, I was told the board needed to be replaced and programmed for the check light to go off. Ok fine. I was also informed that there was a coolant leak (which I was previously not aware of). The cost to fix that was a couple hundred dollars. I didnt have the money to get the board (which was over a grand) but I did tell them to go forward to fix the coolant leak. Fast forward four days later l, I went out to drive the van after leaving it parked and I noticed a significant leak coming out of the exhaust pipe. It was coolant. I called them up and the man at Maxi caught an attitude with me claiming it was four days since I had been there and basically if the amount of coolant that was coming out of the tail pipe was to the extent that it was then there is more serious issues at hand. And I was welcome to bring it back in to get in diagnosed again but there was nothing he would do.Excuse me but youre the one who told me I had a coolant leak to begin with. And if you allegedly fixed it and charged me over 200 hundred dollars then why in the heck would the coolant be draining empty over a course of four days? Its ridiculous. You should have included that in your initial diagnosis and been more thorough with your inspection.I warn anyone who goes to this place, if you do get service with these guys be sure to test your vehicle afterwards to make sure they did what they said they were going to do. Thats the lesson I learned. Other than that, I will not use them ever again nor will I recommend them to anyone I know.

I dont trust anyone else with my vehicle. The guys at Maxi are always so easy to work with and they dont try to talk you into things you dont need. Excellent service, great pricing, and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Before you let anyone else repair your car you need to take it to Maxi in East Ridge. They are honest, reliable, reasonably priced, and they get the work done quickly. I recently had another establishment tell me I needed all sorts of repairs totaling thousands of dollars. I got a second opinion from Maxi and I am so glad I did. Most of the so-called repairs (which were supposedly absolutely necessary) turned out to be bogus. Of the few repairs the car truly needed, Maxi fixed everything and did so at a fraction of the price quoted by the other establishment. It is refreshing to know that honest mechanics still exist -- and you can find them at Maxi in East Ridge

I had taken my car to another auto shop. I was told that I needed an alternator. I was charged $560.00 to have an alternator replaced. However, the car continued to have the same difficulty starting after the work was done. I took my car to several of the automotive stores to have my battery checked and I was told that the battery was good!I took my car to Maxi Auto andThey diagnosed the problem as having a bad battery and gave me a print out, which showed the actual health of the battery. I was able to take the print out to the store where I purchased the battery, which was still under warranty.The shop staff was very professional and honest, and I felt very comfortable withthe diagnosis. I had the battery replaced and my car has started everyday with no problems.Thank you guys,great job!!They get pretty covered up withcustomers, but it was worth the wait..

My husband need to have a leak checked out. It appeared that oil was leaking but it was transmission fluid. It was simple transmission line that was leaking. We were on our way from St Louis Missouri to Jacksonville Florida for my Husband’s grandma’s Funeral. Our car broke down and the closet repair shop was Maxi Auto Repair. We showed up and they were able to diagnose the issue and fix it within just a few hours and got us back on the road. We were traveling with our two sons (3&7) and they were gracious enough to let us set up shop in their lobby with our backpacks and devices letting us plug in and charge up as we waited. When our car was done Carl the manager gave us his card and told my husband to give him a call when we made it back home so he would know we got back safely. It was one of the best experiences we have had at a car repair shop and we would recommend them to anyone in the Chattanooga area.

They did my Cadillac converter for a little over 1300 I had to take it back because there’s a hole in it and my car is loosing power he told me to bring it back Thursday I’m really annoyed because I called Friday and they said they could get me in now I have to take it back Thursday and it’s my only car. This is a great place to get your car work done. Everyone is extremely nice and they have great service! I called last minute for a muffler delete on my Ford Focus and they got me in the same day even though it was not long before closing. Id definitely recommend them and would go there again!

This garage has a great group of guys who care about taking care of their customers needs. They offer a variety of car repair services and they are quick to complete repairs so you are back on the road. This shop does not do tires or alignments, however they have other location which offer these services.I would highly recommend this location as well as any of their Chattanooga locations.

I dropped off my car to Carl to work on my brakes and rotors. I have a Saab and have tried several different places but I’ve had no luck with getting the right parts. Carl was able to get the parts for me and put them in at a decent time. Excellent service.

I dropped my car off for an oil change early one morning and asked the manager to check a couple of other small issues I was having as well, just to make sure that they weren’t leading to larger issues. He gave me a call to let me know my serpentine belt needed replaced but that everything else was in good shape, and that he had checked other parts for me as well.Very responsive and had my car back to me quickly. It was my first experience with these guys but I feel as if they went above and beyond!

Carl was very informative about the work they did to my car. He went over every detail. I came in for what I thought was break pads and was told I just needed a flush. Some places probably would have gotten me for the breaks anyway, I really appreciated the straight shooting. We will be back for our car needs.

I had a flat tire and I was pretty close to Maxi. I wasnt sure if they did tires or not but I took it there because it was closest. They dont do tires but they aired up my tire for free (it was a slow leak) so I could drive somewhere else to get it fixed. Ive been here several times and they are always honest and friendly.

Resonse to the owner: I called again yesterday and was told by the manager he is more interested in viewing the other repair shops estimates for the same repairs than he is about the actual issue. Not sure how quickly of a response you expect when I am now in the process off making plans to get a rental (another out of pocket expense I am stuck with) so that I can bring my car in, which I also mentioned in the call. I know that they will have my car for another week since I was told they will get to it when they can. I will update my review once they have repaired the issue and fixed the other issue they caused due to their faulty repair and part. Please do not make false statements in your response as it does nothing for the situation. Seeing as you have details about the repair issue, you should call me personally instead of responding for reviews. That would be a more appropriate approach to achieving customer satisfaction.Do not take your car to this place!! You will waste your money paying for repairs that are not actually completed. If I could give them -5 stars, I would. They are incompetent and I wouldnt even trust them to change a tire at this point.

These guys were awesome! We called ahead enroute and they were able to immediately run a diagnostic on a check engine light and reset it. In and out in 5 minutes with complementary coffee. These are just the type of guys you want your family members to find when they are on the road and in need of reliable service. We are now back on the road safely headed south.

I Took my mustang GT to this location to have a full exhaust system put out on it. I could not have asked for better service. The guys were very friendly and knowledgeable. They Took care of my vehicle and made sure everything was put on correctly. If you have any Muffler work, oil changes, or Mechanic work in general that needs to be done I highly recommend taking it to this Maxi muffler location. Thanks guys!!!

After a $1600 plus repair job in November, I am finally getting my fixed vehicle up to par! What I paid for... A tune up, oil change and manifold gaskets, was apparently not my only problem, but of course according to the district manager, it was MY FAULT the problems occurred 1 week and 3 days after I paid this location $1600+! Not happy and NOT recommending them to anyone in the future! According to their invoice I denied services, NOT TRUE! Services I was told were performed, werent, and the job they did should have taken over 9 hours but my car was taken in at 8:00 work approved to begin after 9:00 and I picked my vehicle up before 5:00! A week later back up there and being told $5000+ to repair was was now an issue that should have already been fixed? Nope! But now 8 months later and $5000 more, it is finally all done and done correctly, no thanks to this Maxi location! And no fault admitted by them! Thanks, but no thanks! I had trust but not anymore and never again! BBB here I come!

I have used this Maxi location for brakes and tires. They have been very professional and worked quickly even when I found myself in a time crunch needing my car back. I have spoken with Nick on most occasions and he has always explained everything and done the best as possible to work within my budget. I will return for service again when needed.

I was overcharged for a brake job and paid for it. Left the establishment and the manager called me and said he made a mistake and overcharged me, come pick up my money. I was happy with the service performed and very happy to get the money back. They say its hard to find an honest mechanic shop. Well look no further.

Did the exhaust on my truck and the hanger has broken 3 times now because they welded to the frame instead of using a rubber hanger. Went today to have it fixed AGAIN (5 minute job) as it’s an inconvenience to me and was told they didn’t have time to do it and didn’t know when they could. I would think I job that’s already complete and paid for yet done incorrect multiple times should be a priority. I guess I will go somewhere else and pay to have it actually done the right way. Terrible customer service as usual at this location.

Repaired some of the horrible work these less than skilled mechanics do.I really cant believe the lack of quality coming from this shop. Some of the issues we repaired are directly related to safety and it concerns this mechanic that they may be putting the general public in danger utilizing the methods they do. Please get a second opinion before you let these folks touch your car

Yesterday was my first experience with these guys. They took care of me promptly and courteously, communicated fully and gave me a real sense of confidence in their abilities and and integrity.

I liked both times that I have gone to Maxi they resolved my problems. First change was cat install and muffler repair. They fixed it and called me the same day I dropped off ahead of schedule and it was fair price. Second time took a little longer but they did fix all the problems I reported, only thing was the temp gauge was fixed but reads wrong. If it wasnt for that I would have given five stars. Jonathan the shops manager is very pleasant to talk with and very competent. I will be doing business here again.Update: 09/2018After going to this location several times and spending allot of money on repairs for the last 3 years for all my cars it was a shame that they misdiagnosed a repair on my wifes car and it ended up costing me 200 more because I went with their recommendation. They tried to make it right but it was to late. They failed in consistency and education. It will be a long time before I will back if ever. Buyer beware.UPDATE: 10/10/2018...I received a call from manager Nick about my service and review. Nick unfortunately after conversing with me made me feel like it was my fault that I chose the wrong option when I got my service. His offer for resolution was very general and in know way made me feel better about going back to this business. I am still out over $200.00. I did not receive a resolution.
