The store manager (Ericka) and Chardale another young lady was very friendly, polite, and gave me exceptional costumer service twice in one week. They went above and beyond to assist me in finding my wedding ring that was left on the truck as well as correcting a mistake in billing! I watched as they also worked hard to help others with great costumer service and very friendly attitudes towards everyone. Thanks Ericka for having what it takes to be a great manager/ leader!
Ordered a hitch 9 days ago to be installed. When I got here the Manager told me that they didn’t have it. Why did they not notify me before today? It wouldn’t have been a problem, but I need to use it tomorrow. They had to go all over to find one. Eventually they did, but the Manager never apologized and was very rude to me and continued to be while my hitch was being installed. Yes, he was able to get one for me, but he didn’t have to be rude. Ever hear of Customer Service?
Went in to buy some moving boxes this morning. There were 2 ladies behind the counter. One was helping someone and the other was texting on her cell. I went up and stood in front of her for about a minute to ask a question and she kept texting on her and wouldn’t look up or acknowledge me. I finally left and went across town to another business where I could get some help.
We were doing a big move and were very stressed out. Fortunately, the staff at this U-Haul were very professional and helpful. In particular, Harrison went out of his way to help us by instructing us on U-haul’s capabilities, helped us determine little details like lock size etc, and his calm/collected demeanor helped to reduce our stress.
They Was Very Busy When I Got There Because They Only Had One Person Working But (Erica) She Had Good Customer Service An She Was Getting Everyone In An Out With No Issues
Harrison, the assistant manager, is the goat. He was very easy to work with and talk to. Also, the manager, the guy with the wicker hat and maroon shirt was very informative. My friends and i were moving from Charlotte to Colorado and needed a trailer. Unfortunately, there was one employee who tried to tell us that our u-haul truck wouldnt make it to Colorado bc we were leaking antifreeze. To that employee, youre full of it. If it wasnt for Harrison who convinced us that there was nothing wrong with the truck we would still be in Charlotte rn.we made it to Colorado WOTHOUT a single problem. Had a good in and out experience here. Mr. Clement was very helpful and straight forward about pricing. No surprises. FYI I rented a small 10 truck that says 19.99 on the side for a local haul. Approx 25 miles in drive time. 79 cents a mile and I rented a dolly and payed the 14 bucks for insurance total price was about 79 bucks
Had a reservation set for 9:30am I arrive at the location at 9:15 am didn’t leave until after 10:00am then I was charged for two rentals and I only had one! Poor customer service cashier acted as if her charging me double was my fault. I will never use this location again. Please be sure to check your receipt

Refused to sell me propane and claimed no one could help me when the propane station had clearly been open for business. Only found out when someone yelled across the parking lot at me.THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME

Ive had a storage unit here for well over a year. The majority of the units are indoor and in a climate-controlled area. Never have had any major issues at all. You can access your unit 24/7 if need be. Its not the best area of town., so always maintain visual awareness of your surroundings. But its well-maintained and kept clean. Large units, small units, trucks, packing equipment and now portable storage. The rates are reasonable as well. If youve taken the time to read this post, please take a 1/2 second and click like. 5 stars on Customer service. I arrive on Christmas eve as the man working at this location is locking the door for the night. Yes I was that older woman that you know makes any employees heart drop when he is trying to get home to his family on Christmas Eve.!! However this man not only made sure I understood how to do a drop off after hours BUT, AND more importantly, he came back in his personal car to help me get the trailer off the back of my car AND ensured I was safe doing it. Sadly I do not know the mans name but whoever was working Monday afternoon 12/24/2018 is a great representative for Uhaul. I hope Uhaul realizes what a gift someone like this is to a company.
Waited 15 minutes to get propane just to be turned down. Get Skip and jump by six other customers in line. All because the manager says his guy didnt show up at 8 a.m. So I have to make my customers suffer. Fire the complete staff of this company even the CEO. I would clean house!!!
Willie took awesome care of us today, including making major last minute reservation changes.However, I was less excited about having to repeatedly decline an offer for an upgrade to a larger vehicle, despite booking two weeks in advance, including having to protest when my confirmation call informed me I had been upgraded anyway. I blame that on U-Haul’s computer system, though, not on this location’s staff.
Taheem is very helpful and friendly. We picked up our uhaul on Friday and came back Saturday to have the vehicle tow added. Taheem ensured everything was set up correctly before we hit the road for our cross country trek. The location was very busy Saturday morning, but Taheem was jovial and helpful to everyone who came through the door.
A very poorly run business. I dont understand why places like the DMV and this Uhaul just have unhappy and rude people working there. The employees just hate their jobs and it is pushed on the customer. They were non responsive, no urgency for the customer, on several points the employee just chatted while they made me just wait... One guy wasnt even on the clock yet and the guy (that was at some point to help me) chatted with him for a while. I know this guy wasnt on the clock because they talked about it. Even another passing employee was asking why he was there since he wasnt to be at work... Then after all that unclear directions on where to drop off the trailer they wanted me to move the trailer myself... Are you serious? Very unprofessional. The worst.
I Arive to the uhaul location at 6:56 Thursday and upon entering the location I see the employee Stacy putting chapstick on whom appeared to be her boyfriend. I was not greeted only reminded that It’s 7’o clock and we are about to close. This was my FIRST time ever choosing uhaul and this is my LAST. That was poor customer service, being a manager, and having worked in customer service for over 10 years, that was seriously the worst experience I’ve ever encountered. I would like corporate to contact me ASAP
Great service. Very quick and professional. Dropped truck off, it was inspection and I was finished in 10 minutes. Didnt even have to go inside.

It was a pretty smooth transaction. I reserved online, arrived at the store, gave my info. In and out within 10 mins. He even pushed back my drop off time so I wouldnt get charged for an extra day, since I was doing it off an hour after they closed. All in all I would go through them again.
I’m Stephon Moore. I just rented from this U-Haul location today 9-27-18. I rent frequently owning a moving company. **Read carefully**, management, supervisors or whoever has to do better....The truck had drug paraphernalia in it. Weed and a half smoked blunt. Crazy. I took pics and vids on snap of it. I let them know before I left the facility, one of the employees cleaned it out. That was it. No apologies, no nothing. I left to go do my moving job. Came back, no explanation or apology. Unacceptable. I brought it to management attention, still no type of common compassion. He just said really. And then awkward pause..... I was like well ok and left. What if I never checked and pulled up to the customers house and opened it??? And the customer views U-HAUL terrible mistake. Very unprofessional for management not to make it right and acknowledge there wrong doing.
Todd Haywood was incredibly friendly and helpful to my boyfriend and myself with our moving process. He bent over backwards to make sure that we had everything we needed for a successful move.
These guys at this location gave great customer service!! Will, Smith and Todd were extremely helpful!! I would recommend everyone to this moving service :)

A friend used this storage I helped moved and the conditions were not good. It was dirty, with ants and other insects. For what they charged it was unacceptable. Because my friend really needed a storage unit short notice they had no choice. But never will they be fooled again. While the staff was great the company should take more responsibility into the state of their storage units if people are going to pay to have their personal items storage there.
The black guy with glasses,at the front desk was impersonal, unapologetically, and simply didn’t take time to explain everything properly. His customer service skills were a 0, he didn’t explain the 100 deposit until I asked. He didn’t explain my order properly. My initial reservation was canceled for no reason. I had to drive 20 mins away to get a truck that I had to look for in a field of trucks. It wasn’t pulled to the front and looked over, I had to walk through inventory to find the truck. Finally get the truck home to find a lock on the back. My dolly wasn’t placed on the truck. Was on the phone with customer service on three different phones because I was placed on hold each time for more then 20 mins. Wasn’t able to utilize the truck, got to late the people I paid to move me couldn’t move my things due to all the issues regarding my Uhaul rental. Please contact me.
If i could give -5 stars I would ive been back-and-forth between two locations all day and Im really upset because no one could resolve the situation of the truck that wasnt working correctly so I had to keep it for this day and tomorrow I will have to switch it for another one but apparently they dont have another one I would have to look elsewhere this really sucks this affected my business today! Ugh!
I accidently reserved the uhaul for 6 hours online but realized I needed it the entire day. After talking with Todd, he was very helpful to allow me to return it within 24hours of renting it free of charge. I was impressed with the customer service I received from this location.
These people know their business. Theyre all nice, and always on time with the equipment in great condition. Theyre my go-to rental place.
Dont rely on reservations made months in advance. Its basically first come first serve. Do yourself a favor and go to The Last Word a few miles up North Tryon. Theyre a media and uhaul store and they are still more reliable than this actual uhaul store.
I set up a mobile pick up that was not ready when I went to pick up at 6am. I was told that possibly someone could have come in before me and essentially could take the van that I reserved...or they didn’t set it up in the first place. Neither of which could be confirmed. WHY TAKE RESERVATIONS IF THIS IS YOUR POLICY. I will never rent from Uhaul again.

Stay away from this store!!! I was told by them I could drop off the U-Haul after hours and use the key drop. When I arrived 5 people were sitting around the front door yelling and screaming with 30+ beer bottles lying around them. I immediately backed up the truck and left. I was then forced to drive the truck back to where I rented it. STAY AWAY!!!
Reserved a storage unit there. Would recommend you not store your items here as they tried to extort it with additional cost

I called multiple times and no one answered. I finally had someone answer and they told me they were open until 7. I got there at 6:20 to a note taped on the door saying be back shortly call xxxxxxxI called and was informed that he wasnt coming back. Beyond annoye at their lack of customer service. I will go out of my way to go to a different uhaul.
Had a uhaul 10 reserved for 6:30. We called ahead to see if we could pick it up at 7:00. The lady said this was fine. We get to this store and see the lady notice us and quickly scurry out the door so she can lock it. They close at 7. This information was not shared with us when we called and asked to push the time back. It turned out the lady changed our reservation from 6:30 to 6:45 despite saying 7:00 was fine. We get out and talk to the lady and she plays dumb. She says we can still get the uhaul we just need to go online and do the self service. Turns out this reservation was not setup for this (had to call customer service to find this out.. the lady quickly left after giving us this false information). Customer service says our only option is to find another uhaul available and reserve it for 24/7 self checkout. Luckily we find one, but when we get there and go through the self checkout process (the store was closed so we had to do the self checkout)... the person I was with who was driving was DENIED. You have to upload a picture of yourself and of your license and then someone on the internet compares the two and decides if you are the same person in the license. So we were declined for this process and at this point weve spent 3 hours just trying to get a uhaul which weve already reserved two that were available. All of this because of the absolutely disgusting and misleading service provided by the lady who closed this particular store at 7:00 on 12/20/2017. Bad Business.
Dont go to this place unless they are open ...If you have to drop a uhaul off after hours you might want to find another uhaul location ... I went there to drop a truck and trailer off and there was about 50 homeless people that were all drinking and when I pulled in to the uhaul location the truck got surrounded by these people .... I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS LOCATION AFTER HOURS .... IT A VERY DANGEROUS PLACE THANKFULLY I HAD SOMEONE ELSE WITH ME......

This place was worse than horrible. It took me nearly an hour to get everything set after I reserved everything a day before. The staff needs to be changed especially the guy getting the truck. He gave me so much attitude I swear to god I almost punched him in the face and laid his ass out. If you dont like your job, quit homie. Ill never come here again.

Horrible doesnt begin to cover it. First off, I spoke to two people when I called (the number attached to this address), both of whom offered me a 9 am half hour appt to install a tow hitch (no wiring). I asked if they had a waiting room because we have two young children and Im disabled. They assured me there was a waiting room with seats. An hour after I scheduled, the phone rings and its a guy from uhaul telling me I can leave the vehicle with them and theyll get to it when they can. I explained I had a 9am 30 minute appt to which he replied he has time in a couple days. Again I said no and he offered 2:30 (never apologizing for any of this). I said forget it and he told me hed call me back, blaming the call center I apparently got when I called this number. He called back stating 9am worked but he cant tell me how long it will take (obviously theres no guarantee, but a 30 minute appt shouldnt be hard to ballpark when its only a tow hitch).We arrived at 9. No waiting room and he again blames the call center, rather than offering good customer svc (after all, the call center is the only reason he got our business). Wish Id paid the extra $100 and gotten it done at a place nearby that has excellent customer service. This is our third time getting a hitch installed by uhaul. Itll now be my last.
I was incorrectly charged twice by U-Haul for over $1,500. Its been over 2 weeks and I cannot get U-Haul to refund me. I would strongly recommend using other moving options.

The manager was not forth coming a information concerning the truck. I had to probe. The mileage was incorrect when we inspected the truck. I called back to the store about a charge on my card that was not on my invoice and the manager was quite rude in his responses.

My experience here was HORRIBLE! I reserved a truck for 10 am and somehowmy reservation got moved to a later time in the day. When I called and inquired about it, I got the run-around about why my reservation time was moved WITHOUT notifying me. Wait... well, they sent an email the NIGHT BEFORE stating that the reservation was moved. If you make a reservation here, make sure you call to confirm it or else it will be moved without you knowing it.
